i have examined all of these nominations and they are all strong legitimate contenders.
some are even on my bookshelf
which is because i like classics and fantasy!
but the most unusual, the one most of us are least likely to have already read, was
The Last Run by Leonard B. Scott .
i am a pacifist and this is a military book, but it is a profound look at hell and heroism.
so Varentil wins the gold.
i am sad to say that this will be the end of my short contest, since with the new rules about gaining gold i will no longer be able to afford the monthly prize.

That doesn't mean we can't still suggest books to read for each other. If you don't think that'll work, I'll sport for next month (meaning I'll bankroll the grand) just to make sure people keep showering this list with more good reads.

Ooh..Good books....let's see. I have so many...but I can't name them all, now can I?
The one book that touches me every single time I read it is called The Giver by Lois Lowry. It's a rather quick read...but I promise you that you'll never forget the book.
There are 3 series that I have read that are just amazing as well. The first one is especially good, simply because it is about my religion and it's called Sweep by Cate Tiernan. Pendragon by DJ MacHale, and Daughters of the Moon by Lynne Ewing.

I love being able to reccommend a book to someone. ^-^ Makes me feel useful. I think out of all of these, you'll like the Giver the best.
