Tatsuki_Kurosaki During the next school year, I'm hosting an exchange student from Jena, Germany, through GAPP for three weeks, and then I get to in the summer afterwards for three weeks. I'm sooooooooooo excited!!! My family hosted a few German students for the GAPP exchange when I was in hs. We also had a German and a Norweigan on the EF exchange. Unfortunately, I never got to go to Germany because I never had the money for it. I'll get there one day.

I would love to do an exchange, but I think I'll just study abroad when I'm in college.
There are quite a few exchange students at my school. They are from Germany, Sweden, and Brazil. Maybe some other countries too.
I have a bit of a crush on our Brazilian exchange student. He's in 2 of my friend's classes, but I'm guessing he doesn't know I exist. I pass him in the hall all the time though! mrgreen
A girl from my school spent last year in Lithuania. She said it was an amazing experience.

One of the girls in my school is having an exchange student come for a year to our school. She's from Germany, we're all pretty excited for it.

I could personally never afford it, although my college class may go to Japan for a "field trip" next summer and we are all saving like mad. I have a good friend who spent two years in Europe, one of them in Germany in an exchange program while in college. She had a ball. I would have loved to have done that!

KeikoKazuyama I want to go to America in a exchange program! That would be so fun. Go to San Fransisco. NOT L.A. We have the worst traffic in the world, really. The entire city is very....spread out, which I personally don't like, and drviers are dangerous and rude. Go to SF.

I think I'd love to be an exchange student. I love traveling, and it'd be the first time I would travel by myself. I could also make new friends overseas smile I just hope my language skills are up to the challenge.

I had wanted to go on exchange, but it never happened. I think things turned out well anyways. I got to be here to win the university-level national championships with my varsity team 5 years in a row (years 7 through 11 of our winning streak). And I still travel enough anyways to get a taste of cultures beyond my own.
I like making friends with exchange students... then going to visit them after they've returned home! Speaking of... one of my exchange student friends from a couple of years ago has come back to town. I had dinner with her tonight and caught up on her life. She's leaving again in a month. I'm hoping to travel to her end of the world within the next few years.

There are a lot of steep hill roads with sharp turns and congested traffic. And oh how I hate to pay for parking. But other than that I loved San Fransisco. mrgreen
