Comments: My mind goes straight to the Shikigami from the Spirited Away movie. I didn't have any fun ideas so I made a basic repeating tile. I haven't made any in a while. I like to do them every so often so that I don't forget the Procreate process for it. XD;
I haven't drawn today's (Day 36) art yet but I caught up on the other art and will post that now.
I first had to immediately stop drawing (the other day) because I let my iPad get too full again. I had to use the time to back up and delete art. It filled faster than I'd realized. (I've complained already, but when it fills, it starts dumping off all my thumbnails in Procreate. So far, it's recovered all the art it has dumped, but it's a scary sight.)
And then I just had a couple days of feeling crappy. I also have an outside project that I had to draw for XD; so I technically did still draw... it just wasn't challenge art. And I just thought that I'd make better art for the challenge after I felt better. ...Nah, I still made some pretty bland art. Here we go~

Comments: Okay so
I looked up British pies and so many of them on the list looked like pretty typical pies that are also claimed by many regions. I saw Banofee pie and it looked pretty British so I went with that. XD; I've actually been wanting to draw a more detailed food painting... So it's too bad that I just don't have that "want to draw" spark today.
So I made a super duper basic pie drawing
It was yet again another bleh drawing. ...So I decided to use the postcard prompt as an inspiration and whipped up the rest of it. So this one went from bleh to okay XD
Juuuust in case anyone happens in on this post before I get to the spotlight... I will get that done today. I just have some stuff I've gotta go do first.

Comments: I'm not ambidextrous but my my left hand isn't completely useless. A few years ago, I drew with my left (nondominant) hand for months and got pretty good by the end of it. I didn't keep it up, but I assumed I'd retained more of that skill than I did. Annndd I lacked more brush control than I thought I would. It felt like starting anew.
It was hard to not just grab the pencil with my right hand (dominant hand). It felt like forever passed, so I was surprised it was just 11 mins. XD
I purposely chose round, vague shapes. I avoided line art to avoid the too obvious squiggly lines. Where I messed up was that I should've kept this even more loose. I still kept hard edges. So there's still basically lines. Anndd I chose a bad brush. This brush doesn't make a smooth line even with my main drawing hand. XD;
I could've cleaned this up more with my left hand still and fix up the shapes but... just didn't feel like it.

Also, I had a weird, ongoing pain in my lefthand the next day and had to ice it. I didn't do anything that could've sprained it... so I wonder if drawing for 11 mins sprained my left hand? XD; Shameful

Day 38 update: It's dawned on me that this is a sinus headache migraine combo. Hay fever stuff. It's not going away.
Also, I somehow already filled another 5GB of art back on my iPad? What? I know that's impossible so idk what's going on. I can say that my iPad claims to be at the storage limit again and is starting to act up. I need to do another file dump before I can still safely draw. So this week is already a repeat of last week. x -----x
I know I can just draw on something else, but that doesn't align with my own goals for this year's challenge. Sooo I'll be out while I resolve all this. Again.

I wasn't happy with it yesterday and like it more today. Glad that worked out. I went over the layers a few times with different brushes in attempt to fix the textures
