Aerden and Blue Tianxiath
Fit/In Great Shape
1/3 Middle Leg
Points: 11

Mild sibling disaster aside, Aerden continued on at the same, steady pace. He just hoped Tianxiath didn't injure his brother--and was glad the dragon hadn't fallen, either. Tianxiath sent him a wave of amusement. As though he'd ever be so clumsy! Oh, but something sure was happening over there.... Whatever. Not his rider, not his problem!

Quote:
8-9. Keep on, keeping on. As you run, you're doing your best to pace yourself. You're panting and breathing hard, but know you're stronger and more capable than you think! Your dragon sends you some positive encouragement, keeping your mind on the task at hand. [+3 point]

R'in of Bronze Demodeth

I need something to distract me.

Think about all of the infirmary visits we're going to have to make after this.

    Funny.

first leg (3/3) // average shape

6-7. This. Sucks. Not only are you wet and cold but running? Really? You've only just begun and already you're panting for breath. You can tell this is going to be a very long run--and even if you're known to be a runner, for some reason, you're just not feeling it. [+1 Point]

R'thell and green Triesteth
First Leg
1. 10 - Demodeth winglfap failure - Fall - Sore Right Wrist (ruh-roh) 0 points
2. 2 - +4 points - Feeling good.
3. 6 - +1 point - Sucks
4. (Triesteth's roll)

Unfortunately, for all his desire to feel good--it was hard to run and be distracted by his wrist. He was struggling a bit for air--perhaps his earlier display to appease Triesteth had been foolish--and now he was feeling the strain. They had only just begun, too. Still, he grit his teeth, and carried on.

He was a dragonrider. There would be battle wounds far worse than a bit of discomfort breathing and an aching wrist.

Ty'nan and Blue Chinanazith
Fit / In Great Shape
First leg:
1. 10 -- Demodeth wingflap trips Ty'nan, +0
2. 7 -- just not feeling it, +1
3. 2 -- feeling strong, +4
Chinanazith: 5 -- he's a maniac!
Points: 5

As Ty'nan took off running, so did Chinanazith, with much less enthusiasm. Still, maybe this wasn't too bad after all... Tripping over his own feet, the little blue discovered that this was a GREAT way to burn off excess energy and make for awesome naps later! He flapped his wings and actually JUMPED, landing on the muddy grass and rolling in it. This was more fun than he thought it would be, even when His fell!

Quote:
4-5 Your dragon is flapping and jumping and rolling and tripping. They have so much pent up energy they wind up hardly knowing which way to run. Sometimes it's ahead of the pack, sometimes they turn around and run back at their fellows, honking and generally having a green-eyed good time. While they're noisy, and possibly a road hazard, they (thankfully) wind up avoid running over anything more than sand and puddles.

B’den and Green Riojath
Poor / What's Exercise?
1/3 First Leg

B’den was not looking forward to this lesson in the rain. She’d have to wear those stupid rain cloaks that did nothing to make her pretty. On top of that, she’d get wet in the rain. Her hair would look like a mess and she didn’t want to think about what her makeup would do!

A dark weyrling green with bright green spots on her wings leaned up against her rider. You will always look beautiful Mine. Riojath said sweetly as her eyes whirled a loving blue up at her rider. B’den booped her dragon’s nose with a smile. “I think you’re a bit predigest darling, but the thought is appreciated. The boys certainly, I doubt, will agree though.”

The woman listened to their assigned lesson and groaned to herself. Running was not her favorite occupation. The same could not be said for Riojath. The green wiggled excitedly at the thought of racing her siblings around the weyrlake. B’den smiled at Riojath. “You’d better run ahead so you can keep up with the rest.” The woman knew she would not be the fastest, but didn’t want to hold her dragon up from fun she might have.

Are you sure Mine? I can stay with you. B'den patted her dragon. "You're sweet darling, but I will be slow and we both know it. You run along ahead and I'll meet you on the beach." The woman gave her little green a gentle nudge to get her going, and started her own slow jog. She was as slow as she feared. She was also wet and cold, but not too badly.

R'xa and Blue Isteth

HEY TIANXIATH! WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING! Isteth exclaimed as his rider was unceremoniously shoved to the ground by Tianxiath's passing. Not a moment later, but Triesteth splashed R'xa on her way through, and the rider had to take a gulp of air before she was positively drenched. It took R'xa a moment too long to get up from the ground, favoring her sore wrist, and she nearly slipped in the mud. "Isteth... it's not his fault..." Ow. Ow!

Triesteth, I'm supposed to do the crimes. Not you.

First Leg:
1. 8-9. You're just running. It's wet, and you're cold, and neither pleased nor displeased by all of this. At least the Weyr Lake is pretty in the rain. [+1 point]
2. 10. Ouch! One of the weyrlings, in their excitement, winds up flapping their wings and causing you to trip! The young dragon doesn't seem to realize what happened, and keeps running--but your own dragon might have something to say about it! :V
Randomize an active Weyrling to see which Weyrling it was! (Only choose those that are participating in the game!) In the meantime, roll a D4 to see what happens.
[It's Tianxiath]
4. You actually fall, and in your attempt to catch yourself, hit the ground hard. Picking yourself back up, your wrist is sore--better watch it to see if it gets better or worse. Ouch.

Aerden and Blue Tianxiath
Fit/In Great Shape
2/3 Middle Leg
Points: 11

You see, Tianxiath? This is what we call karma. Now it IS your rider, and it IS your problem.

One minute, Aerden was running along just fine. The next second, something green came hurtling right into him. Aerden felt the air in his lungs leave in a surprised 'oof' before he hit the ground hard. He blinked for a moment, wincing as he pulled himself up to his feet. Nothing broken... but man, that was going to leave a bruise. He touched the spot tenderly.

Triesteth! Don't bruise the merchandise! Tianxiath sounded appalled, whipping around at once to tend to his rider.... and knocked R'xa right onto the ground. He hurried over, nosing Aerden with concern.... He spared a glance for his brother with a snort. What crimes could you possibly--oh. I see. Whoops....

2. Ouch! You banged yourself up pretty good! You'll be sporting one heck of a black-and-blue bruise that smarts.

Nashwa and Gold Ilaorunth
Fit / In Great Shape
First Leg 3/3
Points: 6

Okay, now that she'd gotten herself decently caught up, it was time to slow it down and settle in for the long haul - they had a lot of running still to do, after all!

Quote:
4-5. You're not fooled by the size of the Weyr Lake. You know it's deceptively large, and is a lot wider than it seems. You pace yourself, knowing full well this is going to be all about stamina and the long haul. [+2 Point]

R'thell and green Triesteth
First Leg
1. 10 - Demodeth winglfap failure - Fall - Sore Right Wrist (ruh-roh) 0 points
2. 2 - +4 points - Feeling good.
3. 6 - +1 point - Sucks
4. Puddle Time - 2 for R'thell / - 2 for Ry'xa
Total: +3

Of course, with everything going on, there were plenty of tempting puddles and Triesteth's youthful nature couldn't help but be tempted. As she trotted lazily along, she did give a small creel of pleasure, scurrying over to the biggest puddle she could find. On her way, she did inadvertantly trip a Candidate--but he was awfully small compared to her. Oblivious to causing Tianxiath's much misfortune, she hopped happily into the mud covered puddle-- sending most of it over to her fun and beloved blue clutchmate, Isteth.

Surely, he would enjoy the game?

Isn't this fun? She asked, oblivious to what was simultaneously happening to her green clutchmate. She was only a simple dragon, after all--and with so much excitement, it was a little hard to focus.

R'thell, of course, wound up jst a bit more muddied. "Come on now, Trie--sorry Ry'xa!" He called out, hoping his little darling wouldn't spend too much time getting into innocent trouble. Hopefully Ry'xa wouldn't mind the extra mud, either.

Mr Cheri

B’den and Green Riojath
Poor / What's Exercise?
2/3 First Leg

B'den was going at a slow steady pace. Despite being super careful though, her foot came down on a super slippery spot of mud! With a loud splat down she went. She wrinkled her nose as her clothes, already wet, were now muddy. Just great. A warm wave of love washed over her. Don't worry Mine! We can wash in the late together! Riojath sounded chipper about it. Awhile a cold bath with your siblings sounds fine to you, I don't fancy a cold bath with the other weyrling riders darling. I'll take my hot bath.

Nashwa and Gold Ilaorunth
Fit / In Great Shape
First Leg 3/3
Ilaorunth Roll!
Points: 1

While Nashwa had settled into the run well, Ilaorunth had had enough already, especially after globs of mud kicked up by those running ahead hit her square in the face. The young gold sat down in a miserable sulk, mud dripping off her face, and creeled. What an awful way to spend the day!

"Oh no you don't!" Nashwa wasted no time in getting over to her dragon and shoving at her, regardless of the fact that shoving was actually useless. "Don't you dare!" You're going to make us both look terrible, don't you understand? What will everyone think of us if you just sit and quit, huh?

That finally did it. Reluctantly, Ilaorunth stood up and got back to running.

Quote:
1. Your dragon does not want to do this. Nope. Perhaps they're just distracted, perhaps they're feeling lazy, they actually sit down and start to curl up. Unfortunately, your rider has to try to urge them to go--which means they have to pause in their own jog to get their dragonet going. [-5 points]
