[ORP] Drinking Games

Arkani watched as each contestant drank their first bowlful, chuckling softly at some of the reactions. It seemed most of those participating could handle a bit of Brew, but there was a contestant or two that definitely needed to indulge a bit more often if they wanted to build up a tolerance to the drink.

"Well done, well done. Round two!" he called as he moved the barrel of Brew down the line again, pouring another drink for each lion attempting the challenge. "Don't drink too quickly if you're feeling a little off-kilter," he teased as he reached the last stone basin, filling it and stepping back again.

"Begin!"

Whoa. Iwa shook her head a bit as she waited for Arkani to pour them all another round. That drink had hit her hard. Maybe she had sucked it down too fast...

Staring down at her reflection in the Brew, she took a deep breath to steel herself. She didn't want to go out on the second round! Closing her eyes for just a moment, she found her focus and leaned in to drink down the new serving.

Minza shifted to find a seat on a slight hillside, getting a better view of what was going on with each contestant. They all seemed pretty steady on their feet, even the rogue who had joined in for a bit of fun! It was exciting to see the pride doing what they did best, celebrating and having fun.

Zuru chuckled when the one player dropped out already drunk after a few drinks. He felt a little warm and fuzzy himself after his second drink, but nothing be couldn't handle.

Ketaki glanced around at some of the other pride members, waiting to feel something, anything, from the brew. The first bit had gone down pretty easily enough -- the taste was mellow, and she enjoyed it immensely. When the second round was poured, she wasted no time lapping it up.

While the lioness hadn't thought herself to be affected by the drink, by the time she lifted her head from the groud, she immediately felt it rush to her head. Thankfully, she was sitting, and part of the lioness hoped she didn't look as funny as she felt!

Her smile never wavered. While it wasn't the worst sensation, she wondered how many rounds she'd need to drink through. The second round had hit her hard...but she supposed that made sense. She was rather new
She'd better slow it down the next time, otherwise she wasn't sure she'd make it to the end.

ninja The first of the brew had gone down smoothly and with little after affect. He was aware enough to see the disdainful glances he received from a lioness that stated her thoughts of his behaviour. He opted to smirk in her general direction before dipping his head smoothly in for the second round.

Was it possible? Could this have been better than the first? Taste was everything to the local grump and he closed his eyes to feel the warmth and dizzy effects of the brew. His closed eyes seemed to enhance the feel of it and he let loose another small sigh before opening his eyes to see the world give a quick spin, but he wasn't down for the count yet. Silently he celebrated with himself and took a quick glance around him. There were already lions down for the count! He scoffed to himself at their situation and smiled proudly at the other contestants.

"Look at the lot of us, we're all on the verge of being drunks." He murmured to himself, but it wasn't in distaste, rather it was a badge of honor.

Another round and everyone was still standing, although some were looking a little woozy on their feet. Arkani poured the next round without hesitation, impressed at the stamina the lions all had. Generally Brew wasn't something one drank down quickly, it was meant to be savored, but occasionally drinking contests like this one happened much to the delight of all.

"Steady as you go," he said as he topped off all the basins for those attempting to outlast each other. "Know your limits and once you hit it, bow out. No shame in calling it quits."

Iwa found herself staring at the basin before her, looking at her wobbling reflection and wondering if it was because she was getting tipsy or because the liquid was still moving around. She took a deep breath to steady herself before leaning in - a little too far - to stick almost her whole muzzle into the Brew. She pulled back spluttering a bit, getting some of the drink down her nose, but she went back in valiantly to finish off the drink. She was getting close to her limit, that much she could tell.

Minza was laughing softly at some of the reactions from the lions. It was clear who was a lightweight - poor Iwa! - and who could hold their Brew. He was impressed with the rogue's performance, given the male had probably never had anything quite like this before. Some were just built to drink and others weren't. There were even old blooded Hobbits here that could only handle a gourd or two full before passing out.

Ketaki was really starting to feel this Brew. Stepping up to the refilled gourd, she dipped her head in, and drank the next round. By the time she lifted her head, the entire world was starting spinning. Oh boy. Part of her wanted to laugh, while another part of her wanted to lie down, or fall over. She was sitting, wasn't she? If so, why was the world starting to spin?

Still, the lioness gave a little giggle, before clearing her throat, and licking her maw. The sensible part of Ketaki wasn't sure she should have volunteered for such a game -- she was starting to feel like her paws were slipping out from under her. Thankfully, though, maybe, just maybe, she could go one more round!

Ketaki wanted to look around, and smile at any of the lions nearby, but part of her wasn't sure she could pin point who was who, and her tongue felt a bit heavy. Maybe she was drinking way too fast... but there was nothing she could do about that!

Zuru grinned as he looked around the room at all the lions who were close to falling over as they drank. This could have gone very badly since Zuru was new to this area and hadn't really had much in the way of this sort of drink. Clearly, though his sought body handled the drink just fine. He took his next drink and felt little to no effect from it. He felt a little warm and furry from all the drinks he had today but nothing he couldn't handle. He nodded to their host who had what seemed to be a happy expression on their face at the fun they were all having playing this game.

Arkani watched as a few of the lions attempting their paw at the game began to grow woozy on their paws. He chuckled softly as their own Clan Chief and Fallohide tapped out, and it seemed that one of their Herders would be among the few to step down soon as well. So far it seemed the rogue who had decided to join was holding his Brew the best, which was exactly why Arkani wished for those passing through to try their customs.

"Faramir, Vesyana, an admirable attempt, but I believe that was your last Brew for now. Take a seat so you don't tip over. Iwa, doing all right?" he asked as he began to pour another round for those that remained.

Iwa glanced down the line of lions, glad she wasn't the first to tap out, but even just looking at the Brew made her world spin. She leaned in to take a drink but didn't get very far into polishing it off before she plopped down on her rump, the ground tipping under her.

"I'm done, too," she said, hiccuping softly as she closed her eyes. Tasty, but potent.

It seemed the Brew was finally starting to get to some of the lions. Minza watched as three bowed out, too tipsy to continue, but there were still a handful left that could probably go a round or two more. He watched on with delight, eager to see who could drink the others under the table.
