TerashiLeonGoken Rala would be slow with a rebuttal, allowing the Dark-type to come within biting distance before responding with a dance that created Grass-type projectiles around her. The Poochyena would undoubtedly get struck by a few, not to say that Rala would escape harm with her daring tactic. After realizing what happened, Keiko would let Cutie out of her ball, insisting nonverbally that Rala let her handle it. "Fairy Wind, Cutie!"The Cutiefly would flap her wings as quick as she could, imbuing the air around her in Fairy-type energy before pushing it toward the offending wild Pokemon. After getting in a small bite the Poochyena would be taken back by the flurry of leaves, the Fairy Wind sweeping it off its feet and sending it flying away into some grass further away. "Tch, little pup bit off too much than it could chew, yo!" Toren said with a laugh, showing a bit of his old self. He always did like battles.

"Yeah," Keiko said with a smile, happy that Toren was coming out of his shell a little bit. She was tempted to explain that the fight only ended that quickly because it was two Pokemon - one fully evolved one, even - against one, but he was there for it. Besides, she didn't want to kill the good vibes he was feeling.
"Thank you, Cutie," Keiko said once said Bug-type was safe in her ball.

She was tempted to explain that the fight only ended that quickly because it was two Pokemon - one fully evolved one, even - against one, but he was there for it. Besides, she didn't want to kill the good vibes he was feeling. "Thank you, Cutie," Keiko said once said Bug-type was safe in her ball. "So, what kind of Pokemon was that bug thing, cuz?" He asked Keiko as they continued on their little stroll along the water side, obviously referring to Cutie. "Kind of looked like a very tiny Mothim."

"I don't think it's related to the Mothim line," Keiko said, pulling up her SNAG to peruse it's Pokedex feature for information on Cutie's species. "Yeah, see? She's a Cutiefly, and she'll eventually evolve into a Ribombee. I didn't think she'd be part of the Mothim line since I caught her in Alola."

She's a Cutiefly, and she'll eventually evolve into a Ribombee. I didn't think she'd be part of the Mothim line since I caught her in Alola." "Alola, huh? I've never been there. Isn't that the far off tropical region that just recently started to lighten up tourist restrictions? I've heard it's a pretty sweet place, yo." Toren smiled. "What's it like, cuz?"

"I only saw one of the four islands that make up the region, but the island I saw was really beautiful," Keiko said with a wide smile. "You'd be surprised how close people are to their Pokemon, there. I heard that region is a lot more accepting of hybrids than the other regions, too."

Toren wouldn't have a chance to reply to that before a young lad came running out of some grass, a Zigzagoon in tow. "Hey hey! One of you battle me and Ziggers!" The beamed happily, his Zigzagoon zigging on up in front of him, barking at them both. "...I have all Steel types, he doesn't stand a chance against me." Toren whispered to Keiko.

TerashiLeonGoken "Oh, alright,"she sighed with a smile as she let Cutie out of her ball, as the Cutiefly was the only one of Keiko's Pokemon that could evolve. "Ready whenever you are," she said to the young trainer. "Yeah! Let's do this, Ziggers! Use Headbutt!" The boy ordered. The Tiny Raccoon would respond to the order by rushing towards Cutiefly, zigging and zagging along the way until it got close, jumped into the air, and attempted to ram its forehead into the tiny bug.

"Cutie, use Struggle Bug, please," Keiko said sweetly. Cutie complied by latching on to Zigzagoon's head, which dealt a fair bit of damage to her, and then swinging said Zigzagoon around for a bit before letting go, thus flopping the Normal-type back to it's position in front of its trainer.
"He certainly seems eager," Keiko whispered to Toren after the move was executed.

"He certainly seems eager," Keiko whispered to Toren after the move was executed. The Zigzagoon was swung a little bit and tossed back to the ground, the Normal type taking a bit of damage as it stumbled upon landing. Either way the Zigzagoon's Special Attack was lowered. "That all you got!? Ziggers, use Tail Whip!" The kid commanded, his Zigzagoon running up to, and jumping up to meet, Cutie and slapping it in its face with its furry tail. Didn't seem to do any damage, actually felt kind of nice. "Maybe, but he isn't doing too well, yo." Toren whispered back.

Keiko was about to shrug off Toren's comment of how well her opponent was doing, but she couldn't shake the thought from her mind. "Do you think I should be taking it easy on him?" she asked in a whisper, fearing that the boy would be offended if she said that out loud.
With this concern in consideration, Keiko turned back to the battlefield. "Cutie, why don't you give that Zigzagoon a whiff of your Sweet Scent?" she asked.
With a nod to her trainer, Cutie filled the air with a very sweet-smelling fragrance. Humans wouldn't feel any different from inhaling the Pokemon perfume, but the Normal-type energy infused in the move would make any Pokemon within the move's radius reluctant to move around, urging them to stop and smell the air.

Toren didn't reply verbally, instead he just shook his head to say 'yes'. The kid certainly had a fire in him so it would be a shame to put it out this soon. The Zigzagoon would be hit by the waft of Sweet Scent, the furry critter suddenly becoming very still as it pointed its nose in the air and began to sniff blissfully. "Like that will distract us! Ziggers, Headbutt it again!" The kid ordered. Ziggers would obey the command, eventually. The Normal type would wait a few seconds. giving its self more time to enjoy the aroma, before darting at Cutie again, head first. The Cutiefly would have plenty of time to react though, considering.

Keiko sighed. After the experiences of the last few days, holding back just didn't seem as fun. But Toren had a point. Keiko didn't see herself as much of a trainer, but she could tell that this young boy was even less experienced than she. Losing was a natural part of battle, but to lose too quickly would discourage him into continuing down this path he'd chosen for himself.
"Cutie, can you use Absorb on that Zigzagoon, please?" Keiko asked. She felt bad for asking Cutie to use her weakest move, but it was seemingly necessary.
Cutie, unaware of her trainer's plight, flew to the side so as to dodge Zigger's attack, only to use Grass-type energy to drain a portion of the Normal-type's strength, restoring a bit of her own in the process.

Cutie, unaware of her trainer's plight, flew to the side so as to dodge Zigger's attack, only to use Grass-type energy to drain a portion of the Normal-type's strength, restoring a bit of her own in the process. The Zigzagoon would let out a squeal as it missed, hit the ground, and started to feel its strength leave its body. At this point Keiko would realize that this Zigzagoon was not of a particularly high level as the Absorb hurt more than she probably suspected it out. Regardless, the boy seemed pumped up more than ever. "All or nothing, Ziggers! Time for our special move we've worked hard on! Secret Power!" The young boy declared, much to Toren's surprise. He didn't suspect such a green trainer would have thought to teach his Pokemon a TM move. What came next was actually less spectacular as the Zigzagoon focused with such great intent for little result. The furry creature would give off a very faint glow and the surrounding grasses would rustle ever so slightly. The Zigzagoon would summon forth what was suppose to be a flurry of sharp blades of grass but was instead only a dulled handful of blades thrown at Cutiefly. The bug might have been cut up a bit, but no worse than a paper cut. Despite the lackluster attack the kid seemed very proud of himself and his Pokemon.
