Alya shrugged, but the smile remained on her face. She didn't have any particular care for what their name was, but it was a good idea to make their roars something that would catch the attention of the other group members. "That sounds fine enough," she said to the other two. Her tail swished behind her a few times before it settled, curled around her back leg. "We should split up now, then. You're right, it's been enough time chattering. We should get back to it."
She was pleased. They both had presented good ideas and seemed worthy teammates in this endeavor. Not that she had any doubts, but the reaffirmation made her confidence in them grow.

((No ticket for me, plz. <3))
Tim-timana was not amused, but then again, she never was. She was all but incapable of being anything other than serious, and as such, she wasn't entirely certain how she felt about this little game. Was this really a productive exercise, a valid test of skill? It seemed more like a glorified cub's pastime than an accurate measure of worthiness, and so she was innately inclined to be less than enthusiastic about participating; on the other paw, she wouldn't want to not participate, which would be slothful.
And so, once the rules had been explained, she had trudged dutifully off to see what or who - if anything - she could find. The Barracks seemed as likely a place as any, and weren't all that far from the starting point, so she began there. A quick look in, however, revealed nothing more than two males also participating in the search. The soldier acknowledged them with a terse nod, but said nothing. Chattiness, like humor, was a character trait she not only did not possess, but disliked.
Red eyes scanned the area, nostrils flared to take in scents, but it seemed obvious that the Regent was not here, or else the two searchers who'd arrived before her would have at the very least found some clue, if not Agni-pariksha herself. That, or she was extremely clever or stealthy, but Tim-timana's bet was fully on her simply being somewhere else.

Psyche was deeply anxious about participating in this game to hunt down one of the new Regents, anxious in general about being back in the desert. About being home. From the moment she'd left, she'd wanted nothing more than to return, and when word had spread that some varieties of Huria would now be acceptable, she'd rushed back. In truth, she hadn't been at all certain that she would be acceptable, but she'd had to try, just in case. Despite her doubts, however, she'd been allowed back, and at first, her heart had soared, but twinges of nervousness had plagued her since, a self-consciousness in the presence of those who were more traditionally-colored.
She felt vaguely out of place still, particularly in large groups, but she refused to let the doubts rule her. She had purposely forced herself to come out and participate, knowing full well that she would be uncomfortable, but she would not hide. She was Firekin and a guard, dammit. That didn't stop her from fidgeting all the way through hearing the rules, but she was here and she was going to do this.
It seemed unlikely that the Regent would be within the starting area or anywhere nearby (or maybe she was, to throw people off?), but Psyche decided to move with her first instinct, which was to go to one of the farther possibilities, and made her way to the Training Grounds, but...nope. It seemed a few others had had the same idea, and had arrived before her. She watched for a moment, scuffing at the sand with her paws, then set to looking over the area; it seemed doubtful that Agni-pariksha was here, if they hadn't found her, but it was better to look busy than awkwardly stand about. Once they'd all left, she would go on her way again.

Tim-timana hadn't lingered long in the Barracks; after a cursory look, she'd turned on her heel and left. Perhaps Agni-pariksha hadn't stayed close, but gone to the edges of the search area. Looking about for clues as she went, she had trekked out to the pridal oasis. It would be a good place to hide, she surmised, and if the Regent wasn't there, well, she was a bit thirsty.
There were a few others there, not active searchers as far as she could tell, but resting or getting a drink. No sign of the Regent, though. Tim-timana resisted the urge to grumble to herself and went to have a better look around so as not to miss anything.

Once she felt she'd looked sufficently busy for a sufficient amount of time, Psyche padded away from the Training Grounds, having decided that she might as well try the oasis next. It wasn't far to go, so it was worth a try.
Upon arriving, she observed at least one other searcher nosing around the area, and so she went to the oppoaite end of the oasis to begin her own search.
...which turned up a lioness of the correct color, but not the correct lioness. "Oh, hello," Psyche greeted her, blinking. "You are...not the Regent."
While she wasn't as serious a participant as some, she had to admit to a touch of disappointment.
