The darkness. It wasn't that shadow creature. No, it was another. More creatures, come to torment him. But they weren't going to get him. No sirree. Watching through the gap he had just shimmied through, he saw as his own personal shadowy demon slunk past before scrambling back through the gap and preparing to go back the way he had came. But then the greatest idea crossed his mind. Where better to hide from one monster after his blood than right on the trail of another monster after his blood? That plan sounded like it had no way to fail. Grinning widely, he set about creeping behind the creature as he watched for that other speaking creature. Oh, it would never think to search for him here.

"Here, just sleep and silence your mind's fears..." The Houndoom hybrid would speak up as he resurfaced, exhaling a cloud of toxic fumes around Reno in an attempt to choke him before he could attempt much more. The Smog would threaten to catch anyone else closeby, and maybe deter anything from surfacing to turn him into a snack as he went to get back onto dry land.
-----
Cera would pause for a moment at noticing another hostile mind in the area, quietly making her way towards the shrine and trying to avoid the conflict as well as she could. No need to get herself caught up in it if she could help it, if only to avoid becoming a liability.
Amaranth would eventually catch up at long last, though all she saw at this point was RC... roaring as usual to her, and some other hybrid trying to attack. She was safe from being in the immediate crossfire, though she did try to whip up a Gust to try and throw the Druddigon hybrid off slightly. However, the wind's blowing meant it might do the same to RC and Dan as well.

Darts had been approaching the group only to get caught in the cloud of toxic fumes, choking on the acrid smoke even though he didn't need to breathe. The smoke clouded his insides even as he approached, and he knew he couldn't just stand here and do nothing much longer. "G-go... *cough* Gengar!" The capricious ghost bursts forth from the ball and shrugs its phantasmal shoulder at the prone trainer in the toxic cloud. "Gar." It says indifferently. "S-shut... *cough* up and use Shadow B-*hack*ball!" Channeling ethereal energy between its hands, the ghost lazily hurls a black swirling mass of the stuff at Dark.

Now RC was starting to be come concerned. Did this brute have a bottomless pool of energy?
"He changed the plan you. you had better attack and quick." martha chimes at RC.
"I know. I am going to have to throw something strong at him. But not our ace card. Not yet. As bad as this is, I am not willing to reveal the full extent of my strength yet." RC responded.
"Understood. Now get to it before he gets any closer!" Martha says with a bit of urgency.
"Let's see if you can withstand this!" RC chimes and then unleashes his Draco Meteor upon the Druddgion Hybrid, landing all 7 Meteors in his chain. RC would angle himself towards a safe landing spot and touch down. His breathing was now heavy. Draco Meteor always took a good deal of strength from him.
"I know you're exhausted, RC, but do not let your guard down! I fear the brute is of the beserker class. Taking one out will not be that simple. " Martha states to the point.
"Great" RC says a bit breathlessly as he forces himself to his feet and readies himself for the coming storm.

The Gust from Amaranth would succeed in knocking the Druddigon off course. Fortunately for it the gale benefited it as the beast spread its wings out to catch the wind in preparation of the incoming volley of Draco Meteor. The hybrid would avoid four of the meteors as it would glide on the wind but unfortunately three would pummel it, the monster consumed by the explosion of draconic chi.
It wasn't over however, before RC could even register that he hit the monster the beast would reappear above him, coming down at him rock solid head first as its chi levels had increased even further, the hybrid apparently going for an all out attack.
As for Cera and Dan the way to the shrine would be unguarded as there was no longer sign of the Xatu hybrid and the other two seemed preoccupied. The closer they got to the shrine the more sounds they could hear coming from it.
If anyone made it inside they would find the place trashed and a Dragonite statue moved to reveal a hidden staircase leading underground. The elder of the Dragon Clan was nowhere to be seen.

All RC could do was get off a reactionary Thunder Wave before getting crashed into by the Druddgion Hybrid. and by god it was like getting hit by a herd of Tauros. RC shakes his head as his vision blurs on him for a second.
"Dear Arceus! Did you have to take that in that manner?" Martha clamors after him.
"I had...No choice. He was...outpacing me...somehow. His chi levels...keep on spiking up and up." RC gets out to his counterpart.

As Dan ran, he happened to notice RC was locked in battle with another dragon hybrid. This in particular caught his attention, seeing how he was almost brought into the fray. Luckily, an passing wind had propelled him when he tried to dive out of the way, getting away from the two. The trainer landed on his stomach but quickly got back up and sprinted off for the shrine. Once there, he would cautiously enter after hearing the noises from within. It was a shame the place got wrecked as it seemed like it was very ornate and beautiful place. Kinda reminded him of the Dance Hall back home. Dan and his Axew looked around, the tiny reptile on his back pointing at the Dragonite statue. "A secret passage? Yes please!" he'd remark, deciding to head down.

After the hit the Druddigon hybrid would recoil backwards, landing on a nearby boulder. The monster would stare down RC panting heavily, his chi levels in sharp decline at this point. What on Earth was this thing? One minute its chi kept climbing higher and higher as it raged on and now its dropping back down to more reasonable levels. So much potential in such a mindless brute. "You...leave while you can..." He panted, struggling to even look at RC as he squinted his eyes, must be the confusion and paralysis kicking in.
As for Dan, he would make it down the stairs just fine and into a basement of sorts, the iron door to it wide open. Inside he would find numerous riches. Gold and silver statues of various dragon Pokemon. Countless pieces of jewelry and clothing crafted from various scales. And many more works of art and miscellaneous valuables. What a treasure trove. The treasure would not be his focus however as a blue skinned man turned around to face him as he entered, an elderly man, the clan elder, laying at his feet.
"Can I help you? Can't you see this place is off limits?" The man said as his fin-like ears flicked back and forth.

As he descended into the hidden depths of the shrine, he had picture in his head of the things one would find in a shrine's secret dungeon. What he found was not exactly it; he was looking for ancient scrolls and weaponry but all he got was money and valuables. He had a disappointed look on his face as he looked around, his eyes settling on the man who stood above an elderly looking gentleman. His Axew would peer over his shoulder, staring this mysterious man down with a fierce look. "Right? I mean it was hidden underneath a statue and everything! And all I find is Darts' treasure horde" he huffed. "Well that and an old man who you apparently beat up. So what's your story?"

Now, while I wait for my ride out of here, why don't you entertain me?" The blue skinned man stated as he thumped his mermaid-like tail on the ground, knocking a staff off the ground and into the air, catching it in his hands. The man would flick the staff into the air in front of him and out of nowhere fire off a stream of water from his mouth which would perfectly connect with the end of the staff, sending it flying straight for Dan like it was a javelin. If the staff missed it would hit the wall behind Dan and reveal that he spoke too soon as various dragon designed weapons were knocked from the wall. What fell was mostly various pole arms and other seemingly ceremonial weapons. Beautiful but still looked deadly.

"You...are in no position...to demand that...of me, Dragon." RC says as he draws himself up. "You are the intruder here. Once you gain your senses, leave. I have to go make sure my comrades are alright and also put a stop to your allies." RC states as he turns away to take off after the others.

Dan got his guard up as the man picked a staff off the floor. His follow up maneuver; however, took him by surprise and caused him to clumsily stumble backwards in an effort to avoid it. The weapon nearly took his face off as he hit the floor, looking back to see it lodged into the wall. When it the ceremonial weapons to the floor, a grin appeared on his face. "H-Hey, what do you know?" the teen laughed nervously. But then he spotted his weapon of choice among the pile and quickly scrambled over to procure it. Standing, he'd hold the sheathed katana, quickly drawing it out only to reveal... "A bokken?! Ugh, just my luck..." At least he could bludgeon him with it as opposed to having nothing. "Axew, Scary Face!" he'd command his shoulder companion. The dragon would stare the man down once more with glowing red eyes and bared fangs. Dan would have the sword sheathed again as he rushed the hybrid, drawing it out once more for a horizontal strike to his side.

Lykas' senses tripped once again as Dan entered the shrine. That energy inside. It was so familiar. But he hadn't heard from the one it reminded him of in quite a long time now. He needed to get inside. Setting Reno's unconscious body on the lakeshore, he slipped into the water, swam over and clambered up while the others were distracted. It helped him with the being sneaky now that he could essentially turn himself into a sentient puddle but that was no guarantee he would not be detected nor that he would not be able to be harmed in that form.
Regardless, he slipped inside the shrine and found his way down to where Dan was fighting the hybrid within. Once he found them, he knew for sure that he was right. ~Varuna?!~ He yelped mentally. Why would the ancient hybrid be here and, more importantly, why would he have a crew of haphazardly trained hybrids with him? Best to stay quiet int he corner and see if he spilled any info before revealing himself. This might be good information to give Ryan later, after all.

It was still after him. He could feel it, even as he hid himself behind the shadow of a beast that he had been previously fleeing. It was after him and it was out for his soul. He needed to hide, he needed to flee. But he was trapped. Stuck in some damned cave, left behind by his people. Who needed them anyways? All they ever did was leave him behind for this kind of stuff anyways. Another whisper of his name, the words feeling like breath on his ear would settle it for Reno as he rook off as fast as his small body could carry him past the creature he had been following behind. While what he passed might harm him, this other creature felt ready to rend him to shreds.
-------
In the real world, a pair of eyes would snap open almost in wordless agony. His breathing hitched and stuttered as panic controlled his whole system, compelling him to his feet to take off towards the shrine and hide behind the stonework. "He comes for me. He Who Walks Ahead, he comes. He comes for my very soul. What has that Xatu hybrid done?" Reno said, frantically glancing around the room for some hint, some small tell from the entity after him. In his panic, he would let his telepathy try and lead him to any minds in the area. He would make sure he picked out that beast or anything like it long before it got here. It wasn't getting him, not this time. Damned thing wanted his soul, he would find that Xatu hybrid and leave the overfluffed Pidgey behind as a sacrifice. In fact, Reno focused his telepathic attempts at picking out sentients to specifically find that hybrid. Damned bird wished to summon a devil, he would be left behind to greet it.

The sudden Scary Face would catch the hybrid's eye, distracting him just enough for Dan to strike the blue skinned man on his right side. "Bad idea." The man remarked as he took the blow with a grunt. Right after his comment the man's body would break down into pure water, falling and collecting into a puddle on the ground. The puddle wouldn't sit there for long as it quickly broke off into two tendrils on the ground and passed around Dan, collecting behind behind and the man reforming from the puddle and spinning around to deliver a blow with his tail against Dan's back.
RC wouldn't be able to make it much further as he would stumble upon Dark who was now attempting to suffocate the other Snagems with Smog. Before he could proceed to the shrine he would need to deal with this first. At least that Druddigon hybrid was out of commission for now, the dragon just standing there swaying back and forth, growling occasionally.
As for Reno he too wouldn't be able to make it to the shrine either, thanks to Dark as well. He would however pick up on the Xatu hybrid, that distinct Psychic chi coming from the shrine, above the other two signatures below the shrine. It seemed to be closing in on them and one of them was Dan.
