Trathnóna is a fighter. Not particularly big, but big enough, not the strongest but lean and solid with muscle, he is your classic foot soldier. Generally calm and thoughtful he does not fight without a cause, but the plight of his fellow colonists has finally forced him into action and he has thrown his weight behind Mah'Rie'Meiah more for lack of a better option than anything. While he doesn't agree with the 'enslave the Aristocracy' mantra he does feel that things need to change, and soon. He wants to mate his beloved Maidin and have cubs in a safe and happy home, not live the rest of his life pining for his lost love and regretting the 'what ifs' of life.
Since the collapse of the colonies:
The loss of his noble-born love broke him, but the loss of everything he had ever known destroyed him. Feeling betrayed by the gods and by his leaders he turns his back on everything familiar, leaving the land he had once called home, that he had shed blood sweat and tears for. He simply turned away and started walking, and he has yet to stop. Bitter and disillusioned, he has turned his back on the world.

He was born on the colonies to his colonist mother and an unknown male. Not considered fit to be aristocratic he has been fighting against the prejudice of the mainland his entire life. He saw, met and fell in love with an aristocratic lioness named Maidin. Head over heals for her he decided he wanted to take her as his mate, no other would do. But of course, she was nobility and he a simple colonist... it was around that time that he heard about Mah'Rie'Meiah and while he was wary of the extreme lengths the female was willing to go, he knew the pride as a whole needed to change and that this was the only opportunity that he had to do something about it. A bit of an idealist he believes that once the mainlanders acknowledge there is an issue, they can all gather and talk it through and come up with a proper solution. But for the time being he is siding with Mah'Rie'Meiah in the hopes that somehow, his ideal future will eventually come to pass.
Current: Having lost his home and his mate-to-be he is now wandering the roguelands, alone and bitter.

The Female has been an aristocrat her whole life and never knew the true suffering of the colonies. One day, she meets and falls in love with this mysterious dark male, and the two eventually fall in love. However, this love has a terrible cost. He was born on the colonies and his mother was a colonist and his father of unknown pedigree, and so, he's not considered fit to be aristocratic. One night, he steals away to the love of his life and admits everything, the paramount shock that he's a member of the coalition lead by Mah'Rie'Meiah Barutono that's sworn to enslave the Aristocracy and bring the colonies to power. She loves him very much, and he loves her so much it physically hurts to be apart, but they don't know who to talk to... Except the Lady's best friend, a black and red leopardess raised as her sister.

Twin brother to Artemis, the large taciturn male takes his job very seriously. Having been born and bred in the pride he is devoted to its beliefs and way of life as well as their Sgiach. Having worked his way up from guard to a Son of Erebus and finally to Knight, he is a staunch and determined male willing to lay down his life to protect those under his care. The opposite of his sister's sassy and outgoing personality, he typically doesn't speak very often or for very long, but if one can get him alone and off duty he is a pleasant and fairly astute conversationalist.

Down to earth yet carefree, Astante is not one to take offence easily. He loves nothing more than to live life to the full, enjoying every moment and rarely worrying about the future. Though he is certainly not without awareness, even as he is playing he never forgets about those around him, always looking out for their well being. Under the playful, carefree exterior lives a lion who was forged within the strict lines of an old, heavily traditional pride. With his laid-back and friendly personality it is hard to imagine him as a prince, though that is exactly what he is.

Born Zawadi Ya'tatu, the third son of the pride's leaders, Asante was raised under the full weight of the crown, following in his father's footsteps, expected to rise above all the other pride youths in hunting, philosophy, worship and leadership. To be as his father, a serious, worldly lion who never smiled and rarely praised his cubs, Asante grew up as an old mind in a young body. Yet the restrained young cub had one thing he managed to keep from his tutors... He would slip away after his classes were over for the day, and walk the pridelands, not as the Takatifu Duniani's youngest prince, but as Njema'mwana; son of an elderly couple who mistook the young prince for their dead child. It was not deciet, for he had told them of their mistake the first day they found him, sneeking about the lowest areas of the pride's home, and yet they took him in, begged him to visit when he could and relieve the loneliness. With both close to the end of their lives, he could not find a reason to refuse and thus, every few days he would visit them, bringing back kills for them when he was old enough to hunt and simply spending time with them near their den. He made several friends among the poorest members of the pride, none of whom ever saw the young princes and thus, never realised his true identity.
Eventually, his two older brothers rose to become the next Heir and the heir's advisor. For Asante, the fact that there was no place for him was a devastating blow, and yet he discovered that he was still expected to do as told, to become a member of the council. He knew he would never be accepted, the council was made up of older lions, their experience raising them above the rest of the pride. Asante, doomed forever to live within the shadows of his brothers without any chance to prove himself, finally snapped. One night, after the rest of the pride had fallen asleep, the young male slipped away from his family's den and left the Takatifu Duniani and vanished into the roguelands. Assumed dead by his family, Asante changed his name and now lives alone, free and happier than he has ever been in his life.

The markings on his face, tail and hind legs are only found in the royal line of the Takatifu Duniani pride. He usually tries and hides them under dirt or bits of leaf and grass he picks up.

Farai grew up to be about Daima's size, making him a tall male. He didn't inherit all of that side of the family's bulk, but he is a lean, muscular lion well suited to the fight training he loves so much. As a cub he was cheerful and chirpy, constantly wanting to get into trouble like most boys, and he loved to play rough in the mud with his friends. He did chaff a little at just how over-protective Maji could be though he loved his parents deeply and never meant to hurt or worry them, he was just an excitable youngster. As he grew into a young adult he came to understand and accept his father's protectiveness and he in turn wishes to protect his family. He is a kind and caring lion, very polite to his elders (once he grew out of that cubby wilfulness) and patient with the youngsters in the pride. Once he returned after his name quest, he continued his training, and regularly gives his time to help train any youngsters who wish to learn, how to defend themselves before going outside of the swamp lands on their own naming quests.

His favourite hobby is sparring, he bug his parents incessantly as soon as he is old enough and certainly before he goes on his name quest, and if possible, he would try and find his grandma, Daima's mom, once out in the rogelands and ask her to train him too.
