They didn't have to wait long, as another Gible appeared from the tall grass, entering onto the scorched patch. It's little arms wiggling as it chomped at the air. "Another..." This was odd. Running into one foreign dragon was plausible, but three? Something wasn't right, and Ace had an itchy feeling that it had something to do with that old man. "Amarantha deal with it quickly, we're going back to that old man." If he was still there. His hand balled up into a fist as he watched Fia dance around the Gible, and Amarantha's light pink wind strike the Gible, as they'd done with the first one. Returning to Ace, the flower bearer got a few potions to heal her up. Turning to head back towards the way they'd come, Ace hesitated. The word 'fate' rolled around in his head. He could hardly believe what he was about to do. Turning around, he started walking in the direction they had been going. Whatever the case he'd end up back at the beginning of the forest, so it didn't really matter if he took the long way or the short way. Meanwhile, Fia and Amarantha watched with a close eye for another dragon to appear.

○ ○ ○ On the way to the forest, Maiku was met by his father's Talonflame, who had been sent to deliver a package to Maiku. The Talonflame, like always, was grumpy and wasn't one for conversation. So, he dropped off the package and then flew home to Snowbelle. What was that bird's problem? But, Maiku was very happy with what was in the package. A Lucky Egg, the TM for Dig, and even a Riolu egg. A special one at that! Where did his father even get the egg? Did someone give to him? Probably. He was always geting the weirdest gifts from people he helped. But, a lot of those weird gifts were really cool, and were often given to Maiku. Smilig, he packed the items and, since he didn't have an incubator, Maiku held onto the egg himself. This was great~!"We're going to have a baby on the team? I love babies~! They're so cute~!""They're...okay, I guess."Maiku blinked and looked down at Furea. He couldn't see it, but he swore she was blushing."Furea, do you like baby Pokémon?"Furea halted and glared up at Maiku before grabbing a stick and looking forward, nose held high."As if. I just said they were okay. That doesn't mean I think they're cute or anything!"Maiku and Otohimé looked at each other before laughing, which made Furea's ears go back. More in shock than anything else. But, she unleashed an Ember. Well, she did, but quickly sucked the flames back in when sbe looked at the egg. Aw! She did like baby Pokémon!"Not another word out of either of you, or you'll lose your skin."

Pressing forward, it didn't take long before another foreign dragon made it's appearance. This one however seemed more so interested in Ace, then in a fight. The blind dragon appeared from the tall grass, sniffing at the ground, and once it caught Ace's scent it appeared to be all over him, sniffing and 'oohing' as it seemed. This was an odd one to say the least, but it was still a fishy Pokemon. Motioning Amarantha and Fia forward, Fia got the Deino's attention by giving off some heat, and when the disturbed dragon turned to attack with a Dragon rage, Amarantha stepped in, seemingly deflecting the attack. She then retaliated with a Fairy wind, instantaneously knocking out the Deino. Being part dark-type, the fairy-type attack did significant damage. Despite the rush they were in, Ace seemingly came to his senses. Though suspicious, no one was going to believe him unless he captured at least one of the dragons, so with a Pokeball in hand, the male tossed it forward, and watched as the ball shook and eventually pinged, signaling his capture. With no Pc to his name the male retrieved the ball and placed it in his bag for future use.

They didn't get anywhere when suddenly an Axew appeared. It was starting to get a bit annoying, but with a sigh, the male motioned forward. His Pokemon knew the drill. Amarantha swooped in, taking a Scratch in place of Fia. The Axew swung it's little arm for another scratch, catching Amarantha more with the wind from the attack then the attack itself. The little fairy-type issued Fairy wind once more, finally knocking out the Axew. Not long after though, another Deino appeared, this one however was different then the one Ace had caught. It was more aggressive, instantly going for Fia. It seemed as through the fox had a target on her back and these dragons were the darts. Despite getting healed after every fight, the tiny fairy was starting to feel some exhaustion. They had to get back to that old man, for what reason he was uncertain, but Amanrantha couldn't last much more of this.

Even still, the Deino stupidly went for a Dragon Rage. Deflecting it, the little fairy returned fire with Fairy wind, knocking it out instantly like with the one Ace had caught. One thing that Ace had come to notice was that of all the dragons he'd run into, they were all pretty weak, and.... all in their base stage. Perhaps it was like whatever sorcery was at work here knew he wanted to train his Pokemon, and it gave him adequate targets to bout with. Even still, which also rose up the question of which dragons he'd face. So far there had been a Deino, Gible, Bagon and Axew. Of all the base stage dragons he could think over, three stood out, one of which he'd already caught. The other two were Dratini and Noibat. He wouldn't hesitate to attempt a capture of those two.

Let's go, Maiku!""They seem intent on bothering him. I think we're fine. And, will you stop bossing me around, Furea?""I agree. It's very rude. And, after he came all the way from Snowbelle to claim you as his starter.""Please....He wanted a Fennekin, not me specifically."I could have had you traded in for another one, you know. Felling the Deino, there seemed to be an opening for them to continue forward. It wasn't going to be long until they'd made it back to the front of the forest and to that old man, however their clearing didn't last long as another dragon appeared. However, Ace had to hesitate for a moment, spotting the miniature T-rex lowering it's huge head ready to chomp down on the next moving target. Fia hopped forward, this time feeling rather bold, however, Amarantha had grown rather protective of the fox, floating just above the vixen's nose. Standing in a more open area of the woods, Ace noticed another trainer nearby, he could hardly tell from here if it was a boy or girl, but it appeared they were holding something... The evil side of his head debated on intercepting the trainer in attempts to see what they were holding and if he could manage to get away with anything, but the other side of his head, the side loyal to his Majesty told him he couldn't do that. He had to blend in, be a normal everyday trainer... and right now his Pokemon were busily fighting a typhoon of dragon-type Pokemon.
Returning his attention to the Tyrunt, Ace recalled what little information they had on the believed to be exstinct species. Archeologists have found fossils of the ancient dragon, but hardly any were revived, due to the often rash and hazardous beings Tyrunt and Tyrantrum could be. It wasn't known as the King of the Dragons for little reasons. One could assume having a 'King Pokemon' in Team Royale would be ideal, but to Ace it was quite the opposite. There was only room for one King, and that was the King. With that thought in mind he watched silent as Amarantha dealt with the meddlesome dragon. Despite it's rarity, despite it's potential power, the idea of having a 'King' on his team just didn't settle right with that loyal side of his mind. Turning away from the fainted dino-dragon Ace directed his attention back to that trainer he'd spotted earlier. Had they moved on? Perhaps he could catch up and 'mingle'...

All hopes of catching up vanished with another Dragon. With a sigh, Ace turned to look back at the battle at hand. 'Well, it's not like I wanted to have a conversation anyway.' He didn't much care for that persons... attire, even if he was told to mingle, he didn't have to do it with everyone he came across. Still, he'd been somewhat interested in what that person had been holding. With another win under her metaphorical belt, Amarantha floated over to Ace, looking rather exhausted. "Perhaps you should take a break, Amarantha." Ace spoke, pulling out a potion. "Derosa-" The Roselia hopped down, standing in the shorter grass with a nod. She was one step ahead. Holding up Amarantha, the little Floette floated over to Ace's shoulder, lowering her flower just a bit to rest on her shoulder.
Meeting Fia at her side, Derosa offered a smile towards the vixen. 'Feeling any stronger, even though you're not doing anything?' The rose asked, raising a flower over her mouth. Fia replied with a grin herself. 'Actually, yes.' Fia replied. 'You meant that as an attempt to insult me, yes?' The fox added. 'If you took it that way, sure.' Suddenly, a new threat appeared. This time, it wasn't a tiny dragon, but a large Druddigon. Fia and Derosa turned towards the dragon as it stomped forward. 'If you feel so much stronger, why not tackle it into submission?' Derosa glanced over to Fia. 'That is all you can really do after all.' 'My fire certainly can't do anything.' Glancing back towards Ace, who was busy looking over the Druddigon with little to no amusement. She sighed, looking back to the Druddigon. 'Might as well try, can't make him think this wasn't for nothing. Though I hate the idea that I might ruin my coat.' Raising her butt up in the air, the little fox leaped forward, and took the initiative.
In the end she managed to hold her own. Her fur was a bit roughed up, but nothing that she couldn't fix. Glancing over towards Derosa with a satisfied grin, she then looked back at Ace, who was rather surprised himself. This whole switch training seemingly did work, perhaps by watching Amarantha she'd gained the drive and ability to fight on her own. Perhaps he could do the same with Nova and Luce to catch them up as well. However, for the time being, with that Lucky egg, Fia could continue on her own and finally gain some leeway for the first gym.

The dragons were appearing more frequent the closer he got to the entrance to the forest. It drew more and more suspicion towards that old man who'd told him to light that incense. Was it some sort of magical device that draws in dragon-type Pokemon? If so, then he'd actually want to purchase that, trainer guise be damned. Being able to summon unlimited dragons seemed well worth any price. Greed circling around in Ace's mind, he nearly missed another Axew as it appeared before the group, followed by a large group of dragons. It seemed they weren't going any further until the wave of dragons ended.
Fia returned to Ace, getting a few potions to heal her up before she rushed out and eagerly instigated a fight with the Axew. In the end she managed to win once more, relying solely on Tackle. It would be nice if she learned something new.

Coming up to defend it's brother, another Axew appeared, rushing towards Fia with rage in it's eyes. The fox was quick on her toes, tackling the Axew. It responded with a scratch at Fia's fur. Managing to get more or less slapped, the fox quickly finished off the Axew with another tackle. She then quickly returned to Ace's side to get some potions to heal herself up. Even if she was getting a Potion now at the end of every battle, she was still able to hold her own during the battle itself. Ace however was growing a bit frustrated with the abundance of foreign dragons. He was certain now, it was magic of some kind, certainly it was. How else would there be this many dragon-type Pokemon in a forest known for bugs and the like? Perhaps this was an illusion of some kind? Was fia really getting stronger? It was making him rather frustrated. Especially since he hadn't seen the two he wanted.

Eager to get back into fighting, Fia quickly turned and dashed forward, ramming into an approaching Druddigon head first. Ace's eyes narrowed a bit, not in anger, but interest, he'd spotted a bit of flame float away from the fox as she'd rushed in for that tackle. Could it be that she unknowingly was learning a new move? Perhaps it was that Flame Charge attack? Getting heated up and using Tackle over and over would be the perfect combination to eventually trigger the use of that attack. The Druddigon seemingly didn't know what to do, going for a slash, ending up only sharpening it's claws on a nearby tree trunk. Fia in the mean time danced about and ended the large dragon with another head-first tackle. This time a wave of flames floated up from the fox's fur, fizzling away as the flame met with the air. Hopefully this wouldn't end up sending Santalune Forest up in flames... that would be troublesome.

○ ○ ○ During Suzu's battle, Maiku heard others and looked around until he saw the other trainer's Pokemon bickering with each other. They sort of reminded him of how Furea acted. After the battle, Suzu tilted her head and wrapped a feeler around his arm."Huh?...S-Sorry, Suzu. I got distracted. Are you okay?""I need treatment. Are you okay? It must be hard having your talent."Maiku nodded softly and knelt, using potions on her until she was better."It is. Sometimes Pokemon are just open and loud."Picking up the egg again, he stood and looked at the other trainer. He seemed...upset maybe? Maiku would be upset, too, if Dragons kept attacking him. Then again, he'd be catching every single one.

A challenge this time was posed by a nearby Gible, drawing over Fia's attention. The fox lowered her front, playfully wiggling her butt in the air. 'Ready when you are, chump!' The fox spoke, taunting the Gible. The two rushed for each other, colliding one against the other. Their tackles were evenly matched, but Fia was quicker to recover and with another Tackle, she ended the quarrel. Despite how frustrating this was, Ace couldn't neglect that this constant string of foes was doing wonders for Fia's training, much better then fighting a bunch of disgusting bugs after all. The group of dragons was starting to dwindle, perhaps leaving them with an opening to get though the forest and back to the entrance? Fia yipped into the air, gaining the attention of a wiggly looking figure. As it moved forward, it revealed itself to be a Goomy. Another native dragon-type, at least this one was more reasonable, however.... to ace, Goomy were as to nothing. They were... gooey, and reminded him to strongly of Grimer, plus it's stated by many sources that this is the weakest Dragon-type, which rose the questions as to why it was considered a dragon in the first place.
