Keiko had a minor freakout when she realized that the black-clad trainer was targeting her, not Aster. Forgetting about Cerberus entirely, she brought out Rita and asked for a Psybeam, hoping the ranged attack would block the oncoming Headbutt.
Rita had the idea to use Faint Attack instead, but she knew she was on thin ice with her mistress as it was and complied, firing a rainbow-colored beam of telekinetic energy at the charging Drowzee. It wouldn't do much damage, since Drowzee would resist it, but the idea was to slow it down, not stop it.
Aster had a minor freakout as well, since Drowzee missed it entirely, yet kept on going. The Ledian charged after the enemy, but Trick Room continued to hold him back.
Cerberus, on the other hand, was growing tired of being ignored by Keiko and fired a Tri-Attack at Drowzee. However, it would be slowed down the most out of Keiko's pokemon. After all, Dodrio are famed for their speed.

Kaya might have been shattered into a million pieces by Weezing's attack, had it not been for Lykas' arrival on the scene. He'd come running when he heard the sounds of real battle taking place and arrived just in time for his muscles to feel like immense rubber bands. Once he'd entered the the Trick Room, his muscles felt like they were being restricted beyond belief by the simple act of running.
Coming to a halt, he decided to stand his ground. He was right behind Kaya by now and figured it was time to play hero. "Duck!" He yelled out just before releasing a Water Spout at Weezing. It might not be the fastest attack right now but hopefully the pure power would be enough to stop the spinning ball of death and destruction.
When Kaya heard the shout to duck, his legs dropped out from under him, the result being a slow fall to the ground. He'd feel the sheer luck of his escape as Weezing shot past him, shaving a few hairs off the top of his head at the speed it was spinning followed by a slow rain as it attempted to rip through Lykas' attack. He prepared to tackle the young hybrid should it appear he was failing but called out to his Pokemon as he did. "Le Faye! Use Leech Seed!" Even if the attack missed, hopefully it would create a hazard to help slow the enemy's onslaught.
Heading her new trainer's call, the Serperior produced a small seed at the tip of her tail, loosing it in Houndoom's direction with a small flick. It wouldn't move too fast in the Trick Room so it would be easy to dodge but whatever it hit would explode into life as vines erupted from the seed, attempting to entangle and sap the life energy out of anything they could reach.

Reno watched the stones pass through the barrier and slow down to a crawl, pondering how exactly he could manage his plan after this. Looking to Kaiden once again, he motioned for him to pick up a rock and gently pull it towards the edge of the room, simply pushing it past the barrier with a nudge around chest height towards one of the grunts. Looking to Church, he motioned to Leslie for her to do something. Getting the hint, she shouted, "Church, alter yourself into a few wide sheets."
Doing exactly as told to, the Porygon was soon dragged towards the Trick Room the same way as the rock, barely pulling the Porygon through the dividing line to allow the Pokemon to be launched towards the remaining grunts.

The twin energy attacks slammed into Drowzee, causing it to lose its focus on the Trick Room, reality returning to normal as the Psychic type flew backwards. Houndour didn't have it much better, the sudden shift in physics allowed it to be hit by the Leech Seed with ease, the dog now bound in place. As for the Weezing it was also taken by surprise as the Water Spout slammed into it. As for the rocks rent by Reno's team, they managed to pick up on the Trick Room's benefits, one of the grunts getting hit and falling on his behind. Church also got the reversed speed at the last moment and took two more grunts with him.
"That all you got!? We're still in the game! Sandslash! Tear this place down! Earthquake!" The grunt ordered. This wasn't good. The Sandslash began to slam its glowing claws into the ground repeatedly, causing it to crack and the entire tunnel to shake. If this Earthquake was allowed to continue for much longer the entire place would cave in.

"Thank you, Rita. I want you and Aster to rest for now, okay?" Keiko said, recalling the two pokemon after they both nodded.
"Do you mind firing another Tri-Attack, Cerberus? I want you to attack Sandslash this time," Keiko asked of her Dodrio. Cerberus's two rival heads warred a bit about whether to comply, but only for a minute. The three heads aimed at Sandslash before firing another Tri-Attack.

Kaya would have called for Le Faye to have used her Frenzy Plant attack to deal with Sandslash but something told him that would do just as much damage as the Earthquake he wanted to stop. So, instead, he recalled her to her ball and pushed Primrose forward. "Get in there and use your Leaf Blade." He told the Leavanny. The nodded, a bit apprehensive about this idea, but ran towards her target, scratching her blades together every step of the way with Hone Claws. She had a feeling she'd need a lot more power and accuracy than normal to stop this thing. When she got close, avoiding tripping over bits of the floor that were being torn loose, she brought her claws around and slashed at her opponent with blades all aglow, their edges shining with an incredible sharpness.

Allen would return Beck before picking up Zest. He was pretty much useless here. Zest was weak to almost all the Pokemon here and Beck wouldn't listen to him. The earth was being shook and Zest was scared out of her mind. The boy backed up before returning her as well. Well, there went his two Pokemon.

The Sandslash would end its Earthquake abruptly, jumping up above the Tri Attack but then getting cut down by the Leaf Blade attack, the last of the enemy Pokemon defeated. "Tch, the boss won't be happy. This place was a big money maker." One of the criminals said with a snarl. "Doesn't matter any more, we distracted these meddlers long enough, we can still carry out plan B." Another cheered. The Snagems may then notice that out of the four thugs, only three were still hanging around, the fourth, got away. "Have fun! Time for Team Rocket to blast off!" The third grunt shouted as two smoke bombs exploded onto the floor, the trio teleporting away under the smokescreen.
"Um, thank you." The Lass said to the Snagems once the smoke cleared. "They attacked us because we overheard their plans for the Underground Path." The Youngster chimed in. "Yeah, what my brother said. Something about closing the tunnel for good, we think they plan on blowing it up." His sister explained. "Why would they do that, sis? Seems stupid..." The brother asked. The siblings would continue to discuss the matter among themselves, but if they were right, then maybe that fourth Rocket was around somewhere, planning to carry out 'plan B'.

Keiko turned to Cerberus as the black-clad trainers vanished and patted the Dodrio on the shoulder. "Thank you," she said gently before jumping on his back. "Now, then, let's go find them before they plant any bombs!"

"That doesn't sound too good....." Kaya muttered at the sound of a Plan B.
"Definitely not good." Lykas agreed when the Youngster and Lass spoke up about it. "We need to figure out where the other one is before anything else happens."
Deciding to employ his smaller and weaker Pokemon for this, Kaya called out Ballast once again, leaving Primrose out of her ball just in case. "Ballast, use your Quick Attack and cover as much ground as possible. I want you to explore this place as thoroughly and quickly as possible. Find anyone that looks like they might be setting up explosives." The Volbeat nodded energetically before blasting off down the tunnel. It was only after leaving his trainer than the Bug realized he had no idea what explosives were or what they might look like.

Reno had taken off after his attempt to attack the trainers, prepared to head off the other member of this gang further up the tunnel. Upon seeing the criminal rush past, Reno and Leslie leaped out of their hiding place and took off in pursuit, the pair shouting at the black clad person to stop.

The Rocket running off down the tunnel would spot Reno, Leslie, and a Volbeat chasing after him. He figured he would be perused before long so prepared a trap ahead of time. The lights would suddenly blow out, darkening the tunnel. Should the Snagems chasing him continue to run even for a few more seconds they would find themselves stuck to a large web that spanned the width of the tunnel. And on that web, lurking in the darkness, was an Ariados, ready to strike its prey while its master fled.

Kaya had given chase immediately after Ballast took off down the tunnel, keeping Primrose at his side. When he found himself running into a sticky, net-like obstacle, he yelled to Primrose. "Prim, use your Leaf Blade. Cut us free!" He could hear others in the net, including Ballast, who was struggling to free himself. The little firefly was failing miserably, only becoming further entangled with each vie for freedom.
Primrose nodded at her master's call, using the still-sharpened edges of her blades to slash away at the webbing, attempting to fee her master and his friends(or whatever Reno and Leslie might be once they actually spoke to him). She wouldn't have been able to see a thing had it not been for the occasional flash of Ballast's light. It illuminated the area just enough to find the webs, though Ariados remained just out of sight.

As soon as the lights cut out, Keiko pulled at Cerberus until the Dodrio stopped moving. She then called out her Gothita and had it sit with her.
"I want you to look ahead for any traps, Rita," Keiko said quietly, so as not to warn the enemy ahead of her position.
With Rita using her mind's eye to look out for traps, Keiko had Cerberus resume a more careful pace along the corridor until the three of them came across the web where Kaya was dislogding himself. "Are you alirght?" Keiko asked in a hushed tone as she dismounted Cerberus and recalled him, keeping Rita, who was still on trap detection duty, nearby.

A burst of fire lit up the tunnel after the lights shorted out, burning a piece of the web clean through with Reno, Leslie, Nova, and Church flying through in a rush after the Team Rocket member. The fire would spread to the Ariados' location, allowing the others to get a good view of it and hopefully forcing it to move.
"Not good enough. I hope you got a plan C, ya crook." Reno roared down the tunnel, not looking to the ground but to where he could hear the other person running away down the tunnel.
