Jethro was about to object, but then he saw Them around the corner. "Ya know what, Lexi..." he said, smiling at her. "A nice long walk would do me good." He then vered off from the direction they were going. "I'll just take you on a tour around school. This isn't the middle school, ya know..." He smiled at her, trying to hide his fear of the kids walking down the hall. But in that fear was actual happiness. Happiness that he hadn't felt since the last time she was with him.
After a while of walking, he said, "So, why did the elusive Alexia Jayy come back to this little middle-of-nowhere town?" He smiled at her, waiting to hear all the stories of the things she did while she was away.

The smile on Alexia Jayy's face faltered as her best friend asked her about why she came back. There was a bit of a delay in her reply. "Um..." she said, "My mother was still in contact with Meghan's mother, so we heard about the death of Aaron and so my mother convinced my grandmother to have us move back here." She elaborated in case he wasn't satisfied with her answer, "It was a b***h to convince my grandmother, so we missed the funeral; we just got here and unpacked a week ago. You know how my grandma is." Alexia Jayy stared at the ground, hoping he wouldn't asked if there was another reason, but she doubted she had hidden the fact there was a second reason. She'd deny it if Jethro pressed her about it though. The blond didn't want anyone to know what happened to her that night. Sure, her story was mostly true. Her mother did need to asked Alexia Jayy's grandmother to move back here, but her grandmother was completely for the idea since her granddaughter had been raped. Though if there was no rape, then she would've been the usual bitchy grandmother she knew and regretfully had to "love".

"Ah," said Jethro. He looked at her looking at the ground. He gently pulled her chin up. "Smile, Lexi. It improves your face value." He grinned goofily as they walked. "Besides, now you don't have to deal with all those boring people outside of our town. I mean, come on, where else would you find someone like Mae expect for in our group? We always were the weird ones.." He laughed a little bit, but you could hear a tiny bit of resentment in his laugh.

Jethro laughed and was about to say something when three teenagers walked around the corner.
"Hey Gibbs," said one of them. He laughed when he saw that Jethro was with a girl. "Who's the hot girl? Don't tell me that you've finally stepped up in the social ladder..."
"This has nothing to do with you. I'm just showing her around," said Jethro, stepping in front of Alexia Jayy and looking dead at the guys. "So go on and pick on someone else for a change."
"Ho ho ho," he said. "Looks like Gibbs finally grew a pair of balls." He smirked a little bit. "I wonder if he'll actually act like a man now."
"Lexi, go inside," said Jethro. He was taking off his bookbag. "I'll be right there in a few minutes."
"No no no, I want her to watch," said the boy. One of the others grabbed Alexia Jayy and held her arms tightly. The leader grabbed Jethro by his shirt and slammed him against the school wall. "I will always find you, Jethro," he said into Jethro's ear. "I will always find you, no matter where you go, no matter where you hide. One of these days, I'm going to beat you so bad that you'll realize that no matter how much you hide it, no matter how much you deal, no one wants you here." He then punched Jethro in the face and let him slide down the wall. "Come on, guys, lets not get too bloody in front of a lady." They laughed, walking away.
Jethro shakily got up and wiped his bloody mouth. He used the wall to lean on, and slightly smiled at Alexia Jayy. "Sorry about that, Lexi," he said sadly. "Just my daily roughing up."

Jethro walked over to her. "Hey, hey, listen to me Lexi," he said, walking her over to a seat. "It won't happen again, I promise..." He looked down, and smiled a little. "Nothing's going to harm you, not while I'm around..." He looked up and hoped that cheered her up. He knew how much she loved that musical. "Come on, let's get to gym. Since you're new, it'll be excused."

Or I'm leaving. The doors of the gym were right in-front of Meghan, waiting for her to enter it seemed. But she didn't. Instead she turned on her heel and took off at full speed down the hall, deciding it was one of those days were she was just going to skip. Screw school. Screw people. She just wanted to leave. In her running, she didn't even notice three oncoming males who she ran right into, not stopping to say sorry at all. Though she stopped once she rounded the corner, spotting Jethro and the stranger from earlier. It took her a moment to pull herself together, and turn back towards the way she came, hoping she had been unseen or would be ignored. I didn't know you were a fake.

Jethro nodded. "Don't be too long, Lexi," he said. He looked at Meghan. "I don't know if we can, Lexi. I worry bout her all the time....but she never wants to talk to anyone anymore..." He left Alexia Jayy at that and went to the bathroom.
He washed his face in the sink and stared at his fat lip. "Idiot," he said. "How could you just let them beat you up like that in front of her?" He looked down. "It doesn't matter, anyway..." he said to himself.
