"You would spend an eternity reading, researching, devoted to knowledge?" He questioned the first of the two to arrive in his haven. She had come first after all so dealing with her first was most proper.

She seemed appropriate for his...gift of eternal life she was proving to be one who would spend her eternity in study, seeking new knowledge, more knowledge.

"If an eternity could be had, and one were to offer it to you. What would you do?" He figured this would be the final question for this one, she had done well thus far in his opinion and he would teach her properly if she passed these final questions.

Finally his dark eyes settled onto the one sitting to Kamilah's side, Monarch. "After Lady Kamilah answers what I have asked her I would like to know from you what you think of an opportunity to learn everything you could hope to learn, would you grasp it and do so?"

Could he have two out of two be candidates that he would embrace? He would indeed have to split his time between them both thus having less time to learn himself however he could forsake his research in light of revitalizing his bloodline and bringing it to proper standing.

Pushing gently, gracefully, off the mantle place where he had been leaning he made his way back to his previously vacated seat. As he moved dark purple hair wafted and floated about him it seemed even the most slight of a brezze or hair current sent his hair floating and moving about him.

Seating himself one leg crossed the other pleasantly as he watched the two females.

"If it were possible," Kamilah hesitated again, furrowing her brow slightly. "I would, indeed, take such an offer. I would be a fool not too." Her head wings fluttered as she nodded. "Yes. Only a great fool would refuse that opportunity." Running a paw through her hair, she shifted in her seat, noticing the grace with which Marconius moved. Again, that strange fear edged into the crevices of her mind. It bothered her that she didn't know where the fear was coming from, but without reason, it seemed senseless.

There was no reason to fear now. She'd been here long enough that anything that could have gone wrong would have by now. With that thought, her mind settled. Yes. That was a good reason not to worry anymore. A smile graced her lips as she looked between the male and the other female.

"But if I may ask, why do you ask such a question? Do you know of some mysterious, secret way of doing such a thing?" Her bright eyes met his, for once a shiver of fear didn't pass through her. In fact, with the fear subsiding, Kamilah was quite intrigued by the darkness in his eyes.

Monarch blinked at Kamilah's question. Could he know a way of doing such? She twitched slightly in her seat. Her curiousity was slowly turning to nervousness. Just where was Marconius going with this exactly. She through a quick glance at Kamilah. Any anxiousness in her was now gone. Atleast one of them was gaining confidence.

"I know it is not my place to speak at the moment... Nor have I answered your questions for myself... My answer would be the same as Lady Kamilah's. I too would indeed take such an offer. But...Lady Kamilah asks a fine question herself..." Her voice was quiet as she glanced between Kamilah and Marconious. She hoped he wouldn't be too upset with her outburst.

Her mind ran a mile a minute after that. She cast her eyes down as she sat in her seat. Waiting... Hoping... Someone would talk.

The potential and the willingness to eternally study and learn it was promising. He had chosen well in regard to those who would benefit his bloodline as Kamilah he was sure would do his bloodline proud, as for the other...he would hear from her soon. His spying had brought him fruit though.

Ahhh, how wrong she was. To think that just because she had been here a while talking that she was safe and nothing was wrong, how wrong she was but soon she would see the error of these thoughts.

At her question he let a smile, eerie in manner, cross his fine features. "Perhaps I do, indeed perhaps I do." He spoke calmly his voice maintaining a monotone calm.

Turning his impossible dark eyes slowly from one to the other dark eyes settled on Monarch and he nodded a bare hint of a smile finding itself upon his fine features. "You would dedicate yourself to the pursuit of knowledge though books?" It seemed he didn't need to question Lady Monarch as she was putting in her two cents, other wise known as opinion, without having to be asked which wasn't a bad thing at all.

"And if you could have this eternity to dedicate to learning would you give up certain things?" Like going out into the day and being alive, in a sense. What would they give up for his gift for knowledge?

Long fingers steepled themselves in his lap while he waited for the answers from both ladies, answers he knew would come in a positive manner, for himself at least. Oh yes, he knew just how they would answer and that he would have two childe for himself, he had not had a childe in a very long time.

Letting her paw slip into a lock of hair hanging by her face, Kamilah began twirling it, thinking of the possibilities, but at the same time the menacing buzz in the air. Her heart was pounding in her chest, as she thought it over, never taking her eyes off of Marconious. Little did she know that those pounding heartbeats could be some of her last, at least if she managed to get the words out of her mouth.

Finally, with a slight tremble in her limbs, but no doubt in her mind, she spoke to him. "I would sell my soul if that's what it would take." The words sounded so severe, but they seemed appropriate in the eerie mood. Her tail twitched slightly in her lap as her wings fluttered, her heart slowing down as she calmed herself. No need to get worked up about any of this. After all, she'd come of her own free will, and honestly, what was the worst that could happen?

Well besides...for a brief moment, Kamilah let her mind slip into the darkest shadows of fables and myths, to the things that haunted the most twisted of nightmares. It hadn't occurred to her that she could die in this room, until that moment. Of course, the thought was so absurd that she shook it off and glanced over to Monarch, wondering what words she had to share.

Monarch let out a tiny sigh of relief when Marconious hadn't repremanded her for speaking out of turn. Her heart had been pounding. She met Kamilah's glance before looking between the two of them and taking a deep breathe.

Tail swishing behind her, she spoke. "I would give up anything for it. I can gain greater things from books then with other things. " She could feel the muscles inside her body twitching with anxiety. She glanced about the books on the shelves. "Anything and Everything I could possibly want is in these books. I could find it all if I was able too."

Something popped up in her mind... What if this wasn't the right thing to do? Had she practically just sold her soul to some devil? She didn't know. Nor did she really want to at this point. She had come so far, She wasn't going to turn back now.

Something one might consider a charming, disarming, smile crossed the ancient vampires features as he nodded his head ever so slowly. "I see, those were both good answers, ones I expected to hear from you both." He had been watching them both for a long enough amount of time he was sure of the answer he would garner from them both by the end of his questioning.

Standing he held out a hand, fingers were long and slender, to the first female to have shown up to his meeting. "Lady Kamilah if you would follow me for a moment." He would not embrace her in here he would need to do this in another room and lock her in once he was done.

"I hope you do not mind waiting along Lady Monarch, please do make yourself at home but do be careful with my books." He would not like to return to find his books, his precious books, destroyed or in anyway mared by some other fae. No, he took very good care of his books to insure they would indure the ages even if their pages did yellow and turn brittle.

His books no matter their age were very well taken care of even if they were read often. Their pages yellow and frayed some by age the covers some were missing titles, not that he needed titles on covers or spines to remember titles of books, were still in good condistion given the age of some in the large library.

Soon, very soon, he knew he would likely need to move from this haven to a much larger one to keep his two children with him he would keep them with him for quite some time to insure they would learn everything they could from himself and have a firm grasp on the world he would bring them into.

((Hope that's good.))

She applauded herself in her mind as he complimented their answers. Kamilah had made it through these questions without a wrong answer, or at least so it seemed. Her wings fluttered as she hesitantly reached out to take his outstreatched paw. Almost pulling away at the chilliness of his fur, she once again wondered if this home was as safe as it seemed.

Biting her lip for a moment, she settled down, taking his paw, ready to allow him to lead her out of the room, wherever it was he was planning to take her. One more time, she looked at all the books, longingly, hoping that her answers would, infact, lead her to a life time to read and study every one of them somehow

"I don't mind waiting at all." she responded as she watched Kamilah take his paw in hers. "I shall be very carefull with your books. You needn't worry." She eyed the various volumes and series' on the shelves. He was quite the collector. She hoped that one day she too, would have a collection as grand as the one before her now.

She smiled at the both of them before turning to skim the titles of books. This was the right choice. She was sure of it now.

(Don't worry mine might wind up small also. I'm honestly not fully sure how to go through with embracing so bare with me, ne?)
Taking the paw into his own much larger one he turned impossibly dark eyes to the one they would be leaving behind and then his books. He wanted to tell her not to touch them but if he were to embrace her as he planned he could not do so, and etiquette and manners dictated he not tell her to simply sit and stay.

"I do thank you my lady, we will only be a few minutes I assure you." Marconius spoke before nodding his head once. "Yes, very good." He should hoe he could trust she wouldn't damage his collection.

Turning his attention once more to the one who's paw he held he lead her from the room and down the hall up and to a door which opened up to stairs leading to the basement, there were rooms here where he could lock her in while she went through her turning. The walls of the hallway were wood with metal candle holders poking out from their other wise smooth surface, glass around the top so the candle flame would be protected.

These lamps of an older sort lines both sides of the stairway down into the basement where there was...a hallway and several doors.

Kamilah followed him through the hallway, looking at the age of the lamps and smiling. They were beautiful. It was strange how older things seemed more beautiful. Running her paw through her hair, she smiled and sighed softly, wondering when the hallway would end? It seemed like it would go on forever.

[[Teeny post, and it took forever, but this part is mostly depending on you, Sleet, love! ]]

((Yeah I know and this is new for me, especially considering how the Kiasyd are, very different from my FoS))

Older things were simply more elegant in manner and had a certain history to them which came with age. They were things which bore witness to things that were long in the past, it was alluring really. Perhaps the hall did go on forever? But no it soon ended.

Stopping infront of a door he knew which would be suitable for the lady at his side he pushed the door open gently, after turning the brass knob of course. "After you my lady." Ever the gentleman the vampire ushered her into the sparsely decorated bedroom ahead of himself. "Do make yourself comfortable before we continue this further." He spoke smoothly.

[-Grimoire-]
Grimoire stretched lazily, letting one leg wave in the air as he hung about on top of his favorite bookshelf in The Library. Moonlight streamed in through the windows he always made sure were open and the world was, as he saw it, in full and bright glory. His large alien-esque eyes picked up every word in the book he held between his paws, captivated by its words. He hadn't moved in hours and had no idea when sunrise might come, but he was lost to the real world anyway. His senses would pick up the sunlight trying to reach out and grab him long before the sun ever rose.
A single piece of paper stuck out of his book, with the words 'To whom it may con-' just visible on it. He was waiting for recruits. Someone had to be here to welcome them and he didn't mind curling up with a good grimoire until someone showed up.
((For any new recruits. Grimoire is here to... introduce you. >:]))
