Hahaha! I don't often hear about romance first and friendship second biggrin
I'm more of a.....natural pairer? Like, if it happens naturally then it just happens. I don't plan for it to go that way. I don't know if that makes sense ^^'
These two have unique personalities, they don't share a single class together, I love the challenge!

This actually sounds really cool, I’m not sure how well Harvey would listen to someone he just met but it does say in Lorrie’s bio that she’s rather nosy so maybe she sees them together and realizes Harvey’s almost downright hostile towards Marcus? And then gets into it and Harvey’s all ‘who da ef be u?” ( sorry been listening to Hamilton. He wouldn't’ actually say that, he’d use big college words...to convey exactly that message.
Harvey can be stubborn but maybe Lorraine can talk some sense into him? She kinda seems like she’d be good at that.
I don’t have a plan just yet so if you have any ideas lemme know :3

Also oh my gosh, she has a drawl and Harvey’s drawl is coming back to him. The idea of the both of them making each other’s drawl more prominent sounds too funny.

Edit: since you said 'talk while she works' and it kinda seems like employees need to stay close to their work area ( though for Lorrie's that's a lot of places lol) maybe it can happen when Harvey needs something fixed at his classroom? Or I could post them both in the library again ( since that's where Lorrie's working right now) It's important to keep to the rules after all.

On another note I just realized Lorrie and Aislin might make good friends? Aislin also uses a lot of slang ( as a linguist enthusiast he finds it fascinating) and his family situation is similar to Lorrie's in that he also got the whole 'you could do so much more' vibe from his siblings. ( librarian doesn't measure up that well against people with doctorates and multiple degrees)
Also they both know some form of martial art/self defense.

I’m answering this here cause we’re not supposed to talk there and I don’t wanna get in trouble. I think Harvey might need an adult to tell him he’s being bullheaded. He might not listen to a kid and he wouldn’t want them involved in his personal life. ( he’s a teacher after all)

Maybe Gisselle or maybe Ashley ( since she now knows that they’re brothers) can help with Marcus’ side of things? Like maybe they see Harvey be mean to Marcus and tell him not to be? And then maybe they can cheer Marcus up while Lorrie ‘talks some sense’ into Harvey.

Probably a good idea. I suppose now Kirsi will go somewhere else, maybe if Prarie is available she can have her talk with Koru after class. Do you think it would make sense for Kirsi to apologize at night today, or on the next day? (She will have to do her punishment for shoving Ray next free day so I'm a little wary of leaving it until then just to make sure that there's time).

I mean that depends on if you truly think Krisi would get over it that quickly. If she does then I don't mind them trying to make up during the night phase. If not, I mean it's not the end of the world if they wait a day or two before making up again. Plus Ray is really shaken, he doesn't want to see anyone right now. In fact he's pretty much going to avoid everyone at this point. He's in a very bad place right now

It seems like it would be best to not rush it and then just have it when it's most convenient for everyone~

I don't think Kirsi would stay mad for long, however. She's not truly mad at Ray, just lashing out because she's emotional right now. Especially with how Ray left it, Kirsi would pretty quickly start worrying about him (or even if she didn't she would just really want someone to grieve with who knew Rina) and she kind of would feel the need to re-establish their relationship because she feels like she's lost him too and she doesn't want that.
-- If we're delaying by days/weeks though, I'll just have her being stubbornly upset with him more as a part of her denial/anger that are part of the steps of grieving, i.e. focusing on that so she doesn't have to deal with the sadness as much.

I'd love for Koru to snap her out of it~
If you're available Prairie, we could have an interaction for the end of the day where Koru learns Kirsi is upset (though I guess she won't say exactly why yet though she will admit its because of Ray).

And then maybe after a time skip Koru could tell Kirsi to stop being mad at him? ( Then Kirsi can maybe convince ray to tell Koru about Rina? )

Since Panda's on hiatus ( meaning Ray won't be around for a bit) do you guys wanna maybe have the battle between Marcus and Koru happen? And maybe plot some more.

I'd totally be up for some plotting!
I know we're right now talking about how their interaction might go when they do their punishment/detention, but it'd be cool if him and Koru battled and Kirsi watched or something~

Marcus and Kirsi still have to serve detention together. I’m waiting on the okay and a PM from SM to figure out what day that’s gonna happen. Maybe Marcus and Kirsi butt heads a bit? Maybe Kirsi winds up upset after detention because ‘I had to see his face, and hear him talk, and I dun’t like him’ >w<

Also consider:
Maybe the reason Kirsi and Ray don’t make up right away ( since we can’t really say ‘Ray’s poster is on a hiatus’) is Marcus found out he was upset. And Marcus experience has been whenever Kirsi and Koru get involved Ray gets upset and the haunted house is still messing with him ( hypno showed his worst fear being his parents fighting and Ray needing help and not being able to help) so his logic goes ‘if I keep Ray and Kirsi away then Ray won’t be upset and I won’t have to get yelled at’ and Ray is depressed so he won’t really make the effort.
( cause yeah he’s pragmatic and responsible and way more mature than most kids but he’s still a kid and he can’t think of any other way to solve this than ‘take away what makes him upset’ that’s how his parents deal with problems after all and how he deals with them fighting a lot. Don’t talk about it just hide it and forget about it and move on.)

And maybe this makes Kirsi more upset? And maybe on top of him not dealing with Ray’s depression like Koru thinks he should ( all Marcus really does is make sure Ray eats his meals and give him a listening ear and a security blanket around people but he hasn’t told anyone and doesn’t think that’s a good idea) she finds Kirsi being upset over things he does.

And maybe this is where she becomes a fire again, because her girl’s upset and Marcus isn’t exactly giving explanations. ( he goes nonverbal sometimes but no one knows this yet and he’d rather look like a meanie than admit he’s in over his head especially to them)

Maybe Marcus mentions, when he’s confronted that “what are you gonna do Koru? Challenge me to a battle again? It’s not like you can beat me. Water trumps fire near ever’one knows that”
And Koru’s fire burns even brighter at the challenge ( and this kid just made his friend cry (maybe?) and now he’s saying fire types are weak? Nah son, it’s on “put your money where your mouth is”)

And Marcus...Marcus has been dealing with calls from home that make him homesick and worried and wish he could just visit, see his sister, makes sure things are okay over there ( but he can’t) and Harvey looking at him with that look ( why does he hate him?) and Kisi got him in trouble..she pushed him...but he gets punished too and he’s the bad guy? And he has no clue how to help Ray and he’s terrified he’ll want to die again but he can’t tell anyone and…. “know what? FINE. you wan’t a battle Ms. Freene? Ya got one”


And then either he’ll win and go “wow this was fun. I can be good at this” or he loses and goes “next time I’ll beat her” and either way he’ll realize he’s not sad or confused when he battles, that he can maybe get into this ( coping mechanism? ) and boom rivalry.

Feel free to add or change anything this is just an idea I had with my limited understanding of Koru and Kirsi.

Thanks loads. I'm actually looking for alternate pictures ( anime has dark-skinned people being rarer than elfs and martians rofl ) it's a bit too pale for Ash but it'll have to do for now so I'm glad you like it.

They’re not related but they are foils to each other ( though I didn’t intend them to be) in that they’re kind of at opposite sides of each other.

Aislin is very family centered. Harvey as you can tell, has family issues and likes to be away from his family.

Aislin is spanish af. Harvey is my token WASP character.

Aislin has dealt with a lot from his parents dying at a young age to people making ableist comments about him and discriminating against him because of his mental illness. Harvey has also been through a lot, a drug addict for a mom and a childhood full of abuse, some of his step fathers were physically abusive. Aislin is very cheerful, in his eyes that’s the best thing to do when someone or something is mean to you. Smile and succeed and be happy.
Harvey is...very much not. He succeeds out of spite too but as you can tell he still carries a lot of scars and tends to have a rather...wry commentary on things. ( it makes for funny posts but he’s a bitter boy)
Aislin comes from very educated people ( his family’s made up of at least two lawyers and 3 doctors. All college grads) Harvey’s family are mostly in construction and police force ( for which you only need a High School degree)
Aislin is very open about being gay. Harvey is very quiet about it and mostly 'passes for straight' ( although he and I both hate that phrase)


And I didn’t mean or plan for them to be two sides of a spectrum. It just happened. sweatdrop

I completely forgot ( and kinda lowkey thought you were gone off Gaia for a bit cause I didn’t see Alana around) I made a post you should have been quoted. Let me know if you weren’t.

Something I’ve kinda wondered is how Ms. Hart and Harvey would get along.
Ms. Hart seems to love the rules. Harvey in turn hates rule enforcers. He technically broke the law by staying in the docks as a kid ( loitering) and then when he was homeless and drifted the year before he got in college ( more loitering and squatting) but he feels he had good reason ( he lived in a fairly abusive and unstable household)
And Ms. Hart doesn’t believe in good reasons to break the rules.
Idk, it kinda seems like they’d clash before meshing cat_twisted cat_biggrin cat_biggrin

This is Aislin's standard picture. This is what made me create him. I literally saw it and went 'this is Aislin' it's not as dark as it could be but still very clearly not white. And he has the sapphire blue eyes I talked about. This is what he looks like no matter what he's wearing.


This is a good alternate picture. It's still very him. And I'm happy with the skin tone but the eyes are wrong.

This is an example of the 'faceclaim' I picked for him for a picture of him wearing a suit....it pale rofl
