Cheria was halted from her jog to the north side of the city when she got a text from her dad. He asked where she was and if he should head to the fair ahead of her. She was close, so she just told him she would be there very soon and then hurried again. Cheria felt awful for keeping her dad from the fair, but at least she knew he wouldn't be angry. He probably would have been late on his own anyway, the dork.
With Poppy snuggled contently in her arms and Cayenne and Ginseng walk on both sides Olivia left Santalune behind, taking to the trail that passed through a garden that led to South Lumoise and although she enjoyed the view, and the smell of several different flowers she found herself too distracted to give the garden the appreciation it truly deserved. She'd never been to a Renaissance Fair before, though what she'd read from the flyer it was an annual event held in Anville. She didn't know what to expect, or well.. she had a general idea of what she'd see but that was just her general idea; knights, princesses, kings, queens, jesters. All of those good things her mother used to read from the storybooks when she was a child. Maybe she could dress up! The idea caused the pinkette to perk up, the many costumes that would most likely be available to her caused her to grow even more excited and with a light huff she picked up the pace, eager to join up with Vince so they could catch the train.
Olivia stepped foot into the city though at the mere sight of it she was quickly reminded that it was the region's largest city, so large in fact that it was divided into four different parts, appropriately named after the directions of a compass. She was almost worried that she wouldn't be able to find Vince, but to her delight she found that the man had come back to meet her and now waved her over. Relieved that she wouldn't have to go on a scavenger hunt to find her companion she moved in his direction, only to stop and raise an eyebrow in confusion when Vince made.. an odd expression. It was only when Huang Chen began to gag and actually cover her nose did Olivia begin to understand, but then Vince spoke up about the scent she carried, asking if she'd either gone dumpster diving or had bought a new perfume. The woman scoffed then rolled her eyes before she lifted her forearm up to sniff it, her pokemon doing the same. They'd all been around long enough for that wonderful scent of burning trash to get on their bodies and, for Olivia, clothes; they'd all just gotten used to it they'd apparently become nose-blind.
"You don't like it?" she asked, quickly dropping her hand back down. "Darn, and I wore this specifically for you." With a soft sigh Olivia started forward, eager to keep moving. "I guess the smell of burning trash is more of an acquired scent," she eventually mused, tossing her head back so that she could look at Vince. "Don't worry, Vincey, next time I'll make sure to wear something you'll love," she assured him. "Maybe cherry blossoms, I hear those are always popular." And here she'd thought that all she'd needed to do was wash her hands, next time she'd have to remember to just take a quick shower and change clothes. At the very least the scent wouldn't linger for too long. That being said, she wasn't against the idea of popping into a perfume shop and asking for a free sample, it'd probably help hasten the whole thing...

Vince almost couldn't believe Olivia intentionally sniffed her arm. Almost. He chuckled as she jokingly asked if he didn't like it and suggested that she had worn the "perfume" specifically for him. "No, I don't really have a fondness for the essence of garbador brand line, I'm afraid." He suggested, walking alongside her. Olivia sighed and supposed that the smell of burning trash was more an acquired scent. "Yes, much like trainers who need to become noseblind in order to have a stunky." He suggested with a smirk. "But hey, maybe it's a good thing. It'll be more authentic when we get to the Renaissance Fair, you know. Lack of hygene." He suggested with a teasing grin, but then she reassured him that next time she would wear something he'd love, like cherry blossoms since those were pretty popular. Vince tensed a bit at the suggestion, suddenly growing rather quiet, as he was unsure what to say.
Cherry blossoms were honestly his favorite fragrance. It reminded him of home and made him feel relaxed and at ease, but part of him wanted to divert her away from the choice of perfume specifically because of this fact. Why? He wasn't sure. Somehow the idea of connecting Olivia to that scent made him feel uneasy. If he said anything for or against her choice though, he felt like it would be a mistake, so he simply kept his mouth shut and chose the neutral position. "If that's what you want to do." He shrugged it off, though something about his comment and gesture felt off and awkward. Hastily looking for a change of subject, Vince noted the Happiny in her arms. "Who's this little lady...? I haven't seen her with you before." Vince asked curiously. Then again, he supposed he hadn't spent a lot of time with Olivia yet, so it was entirely possible there were a lot of pokemon of hers that he hadn't seen yet, and vice versa. "Come to think of it... What all pokemon do you have anyways? If you don't mind me asking." He suggested. If she wanted to know more about his team in return, he certainly wouldn't mind telling her.
Meanwhile, Huang Chen sagged behind with Cayenne and Ginseng, not nearly as much as a pep in her step as she kicked a few loose stones along her path. She wasn't looking forward to her punishment, and she still hadn't really figured out how she could prove to Vince that she could listen and be obedient if he wasn't going to let her battle. Really, when did a trainer ever tell their pokemon to do something outside of battle, or stopping them from going into a battle? She was still so frustrated with her trainer.... She glared at the back of his head while he joked so lightheartedly with Olivia, as if their conversation had never happened. She had half a mind to set his pants on fire to remind him that she was still here, but that wouldn't help her situation any more. Then again, maybe she would have an easier time on her own... Maybe she could run away, see how well he did without her... Except she had little to no experience in the wild. She would probably be lost and alone... But maybe a nicer trainer than Vince could take her in.... It was a bit extreme, so she wouldn't do anything like that now, but it was an option to keep in mind.
Olivia morphed her expression into a pout when Vince confirmed his distaste for her newest 'scent', admitting that he held no fondness for the brand of her perfume. "A shame," she mused, a smile appearing. "I hear it's all the rage in certain cities." He agreed when she pointed out that her unique odor, one of burning trash, was more of an acquired scent, it wasn't a popular smell after all, and then drew the correlation between it and those trainers who worked with Stunky. "I wonder if they ever regain their sense of smell," she remarked thoughtfully, mind briefly turning to the idea of all those trainers who most likely lost the sense to smell, at least for a brief time, the longer they spent with Stunky; they probably lost the ability to smell altogether when the pokemon evolved into Skuntank. Olivia snorted at Vince's optimistic suggestion, the medieval ages weren't known for their cleanliness and awful body odor, so she'd fit right in. "Well you know me, I've got to go all out," she responded in amusement. "The costume is nice, but the smell is what will really tie it altogether." All joking aside though, she knew she didn't smell the best and could only hope the scent would fade away soon. Until then, however, she kept up the whole 'perfume' idea and comforted Vince by promising him that, the next time she went perfume shopping, she'd buy a scent enjoyed by the majority, cherry blossom for instant; it was rather popular after all.
When Vince didn't immediately respond with a quip or amused retort Olivia couldn't help but to look back at him, one brow slowly rising. Their back-and-forth was apart of their dynamic at this point, so to find that he had grown silent was a bit... unexpected. Was it the mention of cherry blossoms? She frowned gently. It wasn't as if she'd said anything to offend him... but he'd clearly been put off, maybe it was just like their kimono talk. It simply just left him uncomfortable. Eventually Vince replied, though it was rather... awkward. Rather than push the subject, however, she simply tucked that information away for later and went along with the brunette's change in subject. Olivia looked down to Poppy when he asked about her, the Happiny instantly perking up when given a bit of attention. "Oh, this is Poppy," she introduced and watched as the mini caregiver gave a 'piny' in greeting. Vince had mentioned never seeing her before, which was true. Despite Poppy having been on her team since... well the beginning of her journey, she hadn't let her out since joining Vince. The same could be said for Licorice and Blueberry. Though she doubted she'd seen all of Vince's pokemon either, it was about time she showed him the rest of her team.
"Oh yeah, sure." Olivia shifted Poppy in her arms then turned her body sideways so that she could peer behind her at Cayenne and Ginseng. "You've already met Cay and Gin, Valerian as well-- she's my Bisharp." She didn't keep too many pokemon on her, so luckily she only had two pokemon she needed to introduce to Vince. "There's also Licorice and Blueberry. Licorice is my Sableye and Blueberry is..." she faltered at Blueberry's, his species still unknown to him. "Actually, I've been meaning to ask you about that," she admitted and then turned to look up at Vince. "See, my brother gave him to me, and he doesn't know much about him either. Even though his colors are different, I'm pretty sure he's the same species as Xiu Feng." When she'd first come upon Vince he'd had two pokemon out, his mega Sceptile Lin Hua and Xiu Feng, the sea green puppy pokemon, and although she hadn't mentioned it before she had been intending to do so... she'd just gotten a tad sidetracked.
As Olivia chatted with Vince her pokemon followed after her dutifully, Ginseng as always making certain he kept a good distance from both the pinkette and Cayenne, Huang Chen as well-- Arceus, he was just surrounded by women! Cayenne, neither minding the space her teammate put in between them or that he was walking, turned a curious glance over at Huang Chen. She could that she was angry, but for whatever reason was beyond her. She spent a minute or two contemplating whether or not to ask the lizard what was wrong, humming quietly to herself as she toddled about, before eventually deciding that she would do just that. "Hey there!" she greeted, chipper as ever. "What's the matter? You look angry." Even an admitted space-case like her could see that. Whatever it, she was really angry about it!

Arceus she was lying out of her butt.... Eager to change the subject, she asked tentatively how the dinner had gone. Knowing Zero's accounts of Andreas, her arrival could have been a good thing, or a very bad thing. According to Zero though, she just treated him to dinner, though apparently as an apology for what happened at tanabata. Isis looked uncomfortable for a moment, immediately connecting the event to what happened at Leon's place, but... Why would Andreas be apologizing for that...? No, it must have been something else. "What.... Happened at Tanabata? Was she there or something?" Isis asked curiously, a bit confused. He agreed to head back south with them, and the group began to move back towards the pokemon center, Dumuzi remaining quiet and contemplative as Zero and Isis talked. Isis wished sh could include her more in the conversation, but there really wasn't a way to do so meaningfully...
Zero then asked why she had gotten so flustered when she'd heard that Zero went out to dinner with someone. "F-flustered?? M-me?? Haha, don't be ridiculous! I wasn't flustered....." Isis wore a wide, somewhat forced cheesy grin that made her look dead inside as she tugged incessantly at one of her pigtails. "I mean really... There's no reason to be flustered about something so silly. If you want to have dinner with someone else that's perfectly okay! It's your life and it's not like you need to spend all your time with me, and so I'm glad you got to see Andreas and enjoy a nice dinner with her." Isis insisted, rambling a bit. "Isis...." Atona murmured. "What???" Isis asked in exasperation. "You're rambling unnecessarily again.""Oh....." Isis frowned, noticing how anxiously she was tugging at her hair and dropping her hands to her side. "H-hey look at that! There's the pokemon center!" She indicated forcefully and closed the distance to it. "Um well goodnight Zero, shall we retire to our room Du? Yes? Okay." She hurried her other friend along, not waiting for an answer.
It was clear she was trying to get away from the awkward situation as fast as possible, but it was only making the situation more awkward as she rushed an exit and forced obliviousness. Eventually she and Du made it into their room and Isis quickly closed the door, burying her face in her hands and groaning loudly. "Arceus, that was awful!!!" Atona looked down at his trainer in light pity. "Would you like a pillow?" Isis brought her head out of her hands and looked at Atona helplessly, teary eyed and nodding, so the lucario levitated a pillow over to her for the blond to scream in. It was more of a loud groan than anything else, but her frustration was clear. It took Isis a few moments, but finally she was ready to address Du, rising out of her pillow and looking to her friend with a weary smile. "S-sorry.... I um... Didn't mean to go and louse up everything like this.... We were having such a good day too....." Isis sighed. ✿ ❀

Du was walking along blissfully unaware about what was going on slightly in front of her while she and her friends walked down the street. She was caught in her own little world while things were going on so she really didn’t pick up on anything that was going on until she felt Isis grab her wrist gently. Du looked up in surprise to see a rather flustered looking Isis who was talking quickly and answering questions for her that she didn’t have time to ask. Du got a puzzled look on her face and tilted her head, but before she could even open her mouth to say something, she found herself fluttering behind Isis like a ribbon in the wind as she was pulled towards the Pokemon center. Du wasn’t quite sure, but she had a feeling that Isis had the odd ability to teleport because of how fast they had gotten into their room and closed the door. Du opened her mouth to say something but closed it again when she realized that Isis seemed to have asked her a rhetorical question earlier. Still confused and slightly disoriented from the rapid teleportation in their room, Du just turned gently on her heel and placed her packages down on the ground beside her bed before rummaging thought them and pulling out something for her to sleep in. She looked over towards Isis when she heard a muffled groan and saw the blond pulling her face out of a pillow. Du blinked a couple of times before gathering her senses enough to talk again. ”I’m sorry, I must have missed something while I was daydreaming?” Du was genuinely confused by what was going on but she wouldn’t push things if Isis didn’t want or wasn’t willing to talk about them. ”But don’t worry about lousing things up. I don’t feel that way so don’t beat yourself up over it. I assume that your relationship with Zero is a complicated one, considering your reactions between each other.” Du spun around with a pink nighty in her gentle grip, slightly holding it up to her frame. Isis would definitely recognize it as something that she picked out for Du and gushed about how cute it was on her. Tilting her head to the side she smiled softly at Isis, trying to cheer her up. ”So is this the part where we brush each other’s hair, do our make-up and nails and gossip about the cute boys in our lives? Or do we just talk about really girly things and giggle ourselves silly into the night?”

Vince rolled his eyes as Olivia suggested the awful scent was all the rage in certain cities. "Oh really? Which ones?" He asked pointedly with a grin, suggesting that the smell of burning trash being an aquired scent was like needing to become noseblind to train a stunky. Olivia pondered the sentiment for a moment, wondering out loud if those sorts of trainers ever regained their sense of smell. "I don't know, nor do I want to find out. I rather like my nose, and sense of smell." He chuckled, suggesting that on the bright side, Olivia's stink would be authentic for the festival. Olivia seemed to take it in stride, suggesting that she had to go all out, since while having a costume was nice, the smell really tied it all together. "Right.... Costume...." He was reminded that people usually dressed up for these things, but... That wasn't really his style, and he knew it wasn't a requirement. He probably wasn't going to try and find a costume unless Olivia really wanted him to dress up with her, if she even intended to dress up in the first place. "In all honesty though Liv, it's not that bad. I mean the smell is, but it's not that strong. I'm sure if we run around a bit it'll wear off." He suggested, since it seemed like it was actually bothering her in spite of joking about it.
Olivia then suggested that she would pick a better perfume for him in the future, suggesting cherry blossoms, which made Vince grow quiet, averting his eyes. It was probably the best choice, lest they have another kimono incident like in Santalune. There was an uncomfortable silence, which Vince felt partially responsible for, so he suggested that if Olivia wanted to wear that sort of perfume, then it was her choice, remaining neutral on the topic as best he could before quickly changing the subject to the happiny in Olivia's arms, which she thankfully latched onto, explaining that her name was Poppy. Vince chuckled, unable to resist being feeling a bit enamored with the cute pokemon as it greeted him. "Poppy? As in Poppyseed?" Vince asked with a bit of a knowing smile. Why did he get the feeling.... Olivia indicated the three Pokemon Vince already knew about, two of which had food names, and then there were two others that he hadn't met, licorice and blueberry. "You and your food names...." He laughed, but quieted his chuckled to listen. Licorice was her sableye and blueberry, Olivia thought was a Lupup like Xiu Feng. "Oh? Sure, if you want to let them out I can take a look. Xiu Feng is a lupup, a dragon fairy Pokemon. Naturally they come in two colors, there's Xiu Feng's seafoam green, and then on rare occasion, some lupup are a dark... Blueberry color, for lack of a better term." He explained, chuckling with the reference to the color pattern of the second variant, quite curious. If she did have a lupup, she would be the second person in a row he'd met who happened to have one, the first being Cheria. He wondered how she was doing.... Maybe he could text her later.
Huang Chen glanced over to Cayenne as she commented on how angry she looked. "Vince says I can't battle any more until I learn to listen to him better, but it doesn't make any sense. How am I supposed to prove to him that I can listen if he won't let me battle? I don't even see what the big deal is. I won that gym battle for him but he's all like "ooh no you lost control and you didn't listen to me so I'm gonna stop training you" blah blah blah." Huang Chen folded her arms and sighed.
[Character Enter] Zero glanced off and scratched his head at the question, the events that played out while Isis was away flashing briefly. "Oh, right, I guess I never mentioned it huh? I mentioned Andreas and Machina showed up, but they happened to find me skulking in a corner somewhere while I was waiting to at least hear back from you. Long story short, I didn't really respond to well to some harmless teasing and, well..." He glanced over to Nova, who tried to give him a reassuring smile. "...Well, short story short, I ended up having to battle her. Didn't end well at all. Nova can show you what all happened if you want, she was on the sidelines for the whole thing." After that brief explaination though, they all agreed it was time to head back to the Center, and the trios of trainers and pokemon headed off. Along the way though, Zero remained a bit concerned, asking Isis what'd gotten her so flustered before. Unfortunately, all the unease and awkwardness that the girl was trying to hide came out clearly, the frantic ramblings only making such things contagious for him. Watching her tug at her hair and trying to desperately articulate enough words to cover herself started to make the silver-haired trainer feel a little bad, his eyes soon going downcast and his hands taking refuge in his pockets.
The moment the Pokemon Center came into view though, Isis tried to redirect everything towards that, Zero's own gaze wearily rising to see it as Isis quickly grabbed Du to try and return to their room. He looked at Nova, his eyes questioning, but doubtless she already knew what was going through his head. She approached, placing a hand on his opposite shoulder, and did her best to reassure him as they hurried to keep up. They'd already lost track of the blonde though by the time they reached it, her speed reaching new heights as she did everything in her power to get away. The silver haired trainer's heart sank a bit more at just how fervently she moved, but his Gardevoir kept him moving forward, instead of standing in the middle of the lobby to question himself. They slowed down by this point, walking back down the halls to reach Zero's room, but the trainer himself came to a halt in front of Isis' room. They'd already gone in, obviously, and he could hear the loud groaning that her scream translated into through the pillow. He glanced down again, eyes now squarely facing the floor. "I... Did I do something wrong, Nova?"
He felt the weak grip of his Gardevoir tighten around his shoulder, and for a moment, Zero briefly ventured his gaze up at his companion. Her large, pumpkin eyes were pained; saddened. Her lips pursed as she obviously searched for words that would help, trying to think of something. There was always a line between him and his pokemon that he never found blurred at all, but in this brief instant, Zero almost mistook her for human. "...No, Zero," She finally confirmed, keeping her own vision straight ahead. Someone certainly had to, if her trainer still couldn't find the strength to look forward. "Neither of you did. Come on, you don't sleep very well as it is, don't need to push things any later." After a brief moment, her trainer nodded, and the two continued on, making it to their own room not far from Isis and Du's.
By this point, Nova had finally detatched herself from her trainer, allowing him to move about freely again. Everything was as he left it, completely unchanged. Now exhausted on a whole new level, he moved over and collapsed onto the bed, allowing his fatigue to wash over him. After a moment, he willed himself to sit up again, Nova standing beside the bed, and reached over to his bag to collect her pokeball. "Would you mind turning off the lights? I'll return you to your ball so you can sleep too."
"Actually, Zero," she started, slowly dimming the lights before they shut off completely. "I'd like to stay out. Someone needs to be here to keep your sleep from being restless."
Too tired to argue or question her, Zero simply sighed and placed the ball on a nearby nightstand, where a single lamp illuminated the room. "Sure, fine, but don't sleep on the floor or anything when you finally need to crash. Last thing I want is you getting sick again because you were watching over me..." Feeling the fatigue take over, the trainer finally snuck beneath the covers of the large bed, keeping to the one side as he felt his conciousness begining to drift into slumber. The last, blurry image he saw before his eyes shut completely was the shadow of Nova's arm reaching over to the lamp.
"Don't worry, I'll be fine. She assured him, testing the little dial on the lamp to see which way she needed to turn it. After a moment, she figured it out, and like that the room fell into darkness, the last shred of Zero's waking mind finally fading to rest. "...Good night, Zero."

Admittedly it took Olivia a few moments of thought when Vince challenged her by asking just which cities were disillusioned enough to love such a scent. "Only places of high fashion, of course," she answered smoothly. "Hearthome, Nimbasa, Slateport; I even hear that Dewford is picking up on it." Olivia chuckled when Vince compared the unique smell of the Garbador line to those who, essentially, lost their sense of smell when training a Stunky. which lead her to ponder whether or not those types of trainers ever regained the ability to smell; Vince was as clueless as she and unwilling to test that hypothesis. "If we ever come across a trainer like that, remind me to ask them," she asked, willing to find out through secondhand information and secondhand information alone; she liked being able to smell. Olivia listened as he pointed out that, at the very least, she would be authentic for the fair-- her scent certainly screamed medieval. That was certainly true, and the pinkette made mention of how both the smell and the costume she planned to wear would go perfectly together, she'd be a bona fide knight, or peasant, whatever she decided to dress up. "Yup. I haven't decided what I want to dress up as yet though. Maybe I'll be a princess," she mused then winked at Vince. "You can be my Prince Charming. Or knight in shining armor, whichever you think is better-- oh! Or, even better, the stable boy; ours would be a forbidden romance." Was she excited for this? That was an understatement. A bit too much? Prooooobably. She was grinning widely at the many possibilities there was available to them, or rather herself, when Vince reassured her that, although the smell was anything but pleasant, it wasn't strong and that if they continued to move it'd eventually dissipate. Her smile turned to a softer, more grateful, expression, "Thanks, Vincey~" she chuckled.
It was shame that Vince hadn't enjoyed the scent, so much so that she just had to make it up to him somehow, and she did that by promising to get a more appropriate perfume whenever it was possible. She suggested cherry blossoms, the first 'regular' perfume that came to mind, only to find that Vince well.. he didn't quite have an opinion on the idea; which in itself was odd; she'd expected a comeback but had only received silence. At his indifferent response she couldn't help but to raise an eyebrow, but didn't question him. Somehow this felt just like their kimono conversation and, as much as she'd enjoyed and gotten a laugh out of his embarrassment, she wasn't sure he'd fully recovered from said conversation. When Vince asked about Poppy she answered easily, informing him of her name to which he asked if it was related to Poppy seed. "The very one," she confirmed before she poked her pokemon underneath the arm, causing her to flail and let loose a startled laugh only to pout afterwards, she hated being tickled. Ignoring the glare her pokemon gave her Olivia went on to introduce the rest of her pokemon, starting with the three Vince already knew before she went to the other two. When Vince pointed out how a good majority of her pokemon had food-related names she simply shrugged and grinned, "what can I say? They just come naturally to me."
Of course there was a reason behind her pokemon's name, and it wasn't because she'd been hungry at the time, but she'd explain that later. She went on to explain the species of Licorice and Blueberry, though paused on the latter, still unsure herself, before she turned to Vince to ask him himself. Xiu Feng was the same species as Blueberry, she was certain, so it only made sense that Vince would know. She listened avidly as Vince revealed that Xiu Feng was a Lupup, which was the rare dual typing of dragon and fairy, and then went on to talk about their natural colors, either a seafoam green or a dark blueberry, the latter of the two matching Blueberry. Olivia nodded before she pulled out both Licorice and Blueberry's pokeballs, releasing them both out. "Hey you two," she greeted them both, Licorice rubbing her eyes and stretching while Blueberry almost instantly tensed and set himself into a defensive position. "This is Vince, he knows more about Blueberry." Licorice turned her gem-infused gaze to the other human, one hand absently extending out to pet Blue's head, which calmed him down almost immediately. She scrutinized the male before a slow grin rose, "sounds good to me."
"Hmm, hmmm." Cayenne hummed and then nodded her head as she listened to Huang Chen as she explained her anger. It was understandable too! She would certainly be miffed if she couldn't battle, she was trying to get as strong as possible! Mostly to prove to Poppy that she was an important member of the team, but... also because she just wanted to! "Humans are weird," she finally replied, words of wisdom at its finest. "But, if you want, I can help you think of a way you can prove that you can listen," she suggested, always happy to help.

✿ ❀Isis hadn't known that Zero had encountered his other friends at the tanabata, and hearing him recount it, even briefly, made her wince with guilt. "N-no.... I think I get the idea..." Isis dismissed the offer to watch through Nova's memories. She wasn't sure she could take seeing it, and wasn't particularly interested in seeing her friend sullen and upset again, or getting beaten by Andreas, knowing her strength. She only felt worse as he inquired about her earlier reaction to hearing that he had gone out to dinner with someone, before she knew it was Andreas. She was getting so worked up about it and she just couldn't stop babbling stupid things quickly so that she could flee with Du back to their room and scream into a pillow in embarrassment. Eventually she pulled away, resting her head on the pillow with a sulky expression as she apologized to her other friend for going and ruining the evening's mood, but Dumuzi reassured her that she didn't feel like anything had been ruined. In fact, she had been daydreaming when she and Zero had been talking, so she hadn't really seen what had happened, but she assumed that her relationship with Zero was complicated. "Heh.... Complicated doesn't even begin to describe it......" Isis laughed humorlessly, rubbing her face and giving a long sigh.
She glanced up however as Du picked out one of the nighties that Isis had selected for her and brightened as she twirled around, holding it up to her frame. "Are you wearing that one tonight?~" Isis asked excitedly, giggling as Du asked if this was the part where they brushed hair and did make up and nails and gossiped about cute boys. "Probably more of the latter, since it wouldn't make sense to put on make up at night if we weren't going out anywhere. I wouldn't mind brushing each others hair though~ I always do that before I go to bed. What about you?" Isis asked curiously, feeling better already, but she hesitated a moment. Part of her wanted to confide in Du with her troubles, but she also didn't want to continue to bog down the mood. She stood, placing the pillow back on her bed and digging into her satchel for her own pajamas. They weren't nearly as cute as Du's, but mostly because Isis didn't feel like she could wear something like that. She needed a top with long sleeves and pants, otherwise she had to stare at the scars that riddled her body, something that she didn't exactly want to face every night. "Why don't you take the bathroom first to change? I can't wait see you in that cute nightie~" Isis giggled. ✿ ❀

”Well, I certainly didn’t pull it out to tease you.” Du giggled as she folded the nightie over her arm, she could sense that the subject of Zero’s relationship with her was a bit of a troubled sore spot at the moment, so she decided not to pry. Du assumed that maybe it was an ex-boyfriend or some sort of friendship that had fallen apart at one point in time and they were trying to salvage it. Du didn’t know, and at the moment she supposed that it was really none of her business. If or when Isis was ready to come over to her and open up, she would, until then though maybe it was best to give some space on the subject. When Isis asked about Du brushing her hair at night Du tilted her head to the side slightly. ”Honestly, no… I usually do it when I get up in the morning as it tends to be tangled something fierce. But maybe a brush before bed would help? Maybe I should try braiding my hair too… that might help.” Du gave a thoughtful hum on the subject, maybe that wouldn’t be a bad idea, actually. She would let Isis work some of her magic and see if that made a difference in the morning, if not, then she would just brush the tangles out as normal, no harm and no foul. Du entered the bathroom first as Isis requested and changed before coming out a little bashfully, honestly, she had never worn anything like this before and she was feeling a little self-conscious about it. She was a little hesitant about opening the door and coming out, mostly out of fear that Isis had her camera ready and was going to take some picture of her in such an outfit.
The girls made a nest of sorts with their blankets and pillows on the floor so that they could have enough space to mingle and gossip comfortably and cozily while they gossiped about nothing and giggled at each other’s stories. They introduced each other to their pokemon caught each other up on the gossip that was floating around. The harmless gossip that girls were into, naturally, Du was never they type of person who wanted to be the nasty rumour spreader. Eventually things started to wind down for the pair of girls and they got a little cozier in their nest on the floor and eventually fell asleep. Isis would wake up with Dumuzi cuddled around her, she always was a cuddle monster and throughout the night she would inch her way more and more towards the warmth of Isis’ body in attempts to get more comfortable. Isis was hugged firmly in the middle and Du was snuggled up to her side, it would probably make for a precious photo opportunity if Isis had her camera with her.

✿ ❀Isis giggled as Du insisted that she didn't take the nightie out just to tease her. "Good, otherwise I'd have to tickle you until you agreed to put it on~" Isis grinned mischievously, wiggling her fingers to emphasize her point. Du then questioned more about their plans for the night, giving a few choices and Isis gave her opinion, asking if Du usually brushed her hair before bed. She didn't though complained a bit that it was tangled in the morning. "Yeah, mine too, that's why I brush it before bed, it usually helps for me~" Isis offered. "Braiding helps too sometimes, but it's uncomfortable to sleep in." Isis pointed out before offering to let her change into pajamas first. When she did eventually come out, Isis giggled at how hesitant she was, but didn't have her camera. As much as she would have liked to capture the moment, Isis didn't do pictures of things like this. Du looked pretty nervous too, so perhaps it was the best. After Isis got changed into her flannels, she came back out to a pillow and blanket pile on the floor and curled up with Du, introducing her pokemon, and allowing Du to see Hinata again as well before all her pokemon were returned to their pokeballs for a little girl time alone.
Eventually the two fell asleep, and in the morning, Isis stirred to the sound of a camera shutter and a mischievous giggle, but seemed to fall back asleep soon after. Yang had taken the opportunity to pop out of his pokeball and take a picture of the sleeping girls, and thankfully they stayed asleep long enough to hide away in his ball again. After about another hour or so, Isis awoke, yawning and stretching. Du was still sound asleep beside her, which wasn't surprising. Isis was quite the early riser herself, and made sure not to disturb the other while she slipped out of their makeshift bed and moved into the bathroom to shower and get dressed for the day. Hopefully afterwards it would be late enough for Du and Zero to have gotten up so they could all have breakfast together or something. ✿ ❀

Thanks to the watchful Gardevoir, Zero managed to sleep well for the first time in a while, his slumber devoid of any dreams, pleasant or awful. At this point he certainly welcomed it more than being troubled by how last night ended, but when he awoke he was a bit surprised not to see his pokemon beside the bed, leaning over it as she slept like he'd expected. With a loud popping of his neck as he stretched, he got up and out of the bed, letting his eyes fully adjust to the light flooding in through the windows before he looked around. Much to his surprise, he found that Nova had in fact taken the opposite side of the bed, lying on her side and facing away from Zero. He couldn't help but chuckle a bit at the sight, but he was a bit perplexed by one thing; the Gardevoir was no longer in her mega form, and the scarf she usually wore, though faded, was absent as well. He had questions, certainly, but he held off on asking them until she woke up naturally. She'd earned the rest, after all.
After disappearing to take a quick shower, Zero finally emerged from the bathroom, and once again wearing the clothes he'd bought the previous day. When he turned back to the bed and gather his stuff, Nova seemed to be finally getting up, yawning quietly as she rubbed one of her eyes. "Well morning sleepyhead. I was wondering when you were gonna get up."
Blinking a few times to try and make her eyes realize it was time to get up, the Gardevoir turned to him with a bit of a laugh. "Well it is exhausting work what I do. Just because I can do it in my sleep doesn't mean that it's a simple task." Stretching out, she finally stood up from the bed herself, Zero now having a chance to notice even more of his pokemon's hair unkempt and loose, though this time he actually could chalk it up to bedhead. "Oh, and it would seem Isis is awake now. She should be exiting her shower any minute now, if you want to go greet the girls too."
Zero nodded, figuring it couldn't hurt to at least check in. It took him a minute though to collect all his things, slinging his back over his shoulder and putting his Gardevoir's ball back onto his belt. On their way out the door though, Zero did glance back at the shiny pokemon following him, still curious about her current form. "So why're you in your normal form? And what happened to that old scarf I gave you?"
Nova seemed to tense at that, for some inexplicable reason. At least, inexplicable to Zero, who didn't really consider her simply losing those as a possibility. "Oh, um, right, I'd hoped to have gotten it done before you woke up but..." She reached up to tug at her scarf out of habit, but without anything there, she simply pawed at the empty air before realizing her mistake. "I used one of the big video phones at the Center to give Machina a call, and sent the scarf to him to see if he couldn't replace it, or repair it if possible."
"Ah, alright, that was a good idea. That guy could fix up anything clothing related. He works really quick, so we'll call him again in a bit so he can send it over." The two took a short walk down the hall and to the room Isis and Du were staying at, and though he raised his hand to knock, Zero found himself hesitant. He still wasn't sure what all the fuss was about or what he did to make Isis so flustered, or if she was even still mad about it by now... if mad was even the right word. But, he couldn't just stand there like an idiot, so he finally knocked on the door, making sure it was loud enough that they'd definitely hear, but not banging on it hard in the event they were still asleep. He opened his mouth to call out to them, but before anything left his mouth, a thought crossed his mind, and he turned to Nova again with a questioning gaze. "Wait, if you called him on the phone how did you even talk to Machina? It's not like you could psychic him through the screen."
Nova was silent for a moment, glancing off to the side as if her answer was embarassing or silly, for whatever reason. "...I borrowed a pen and notepad from the nurse, and tried to write out what I wanted to say." Zero opened his mouth to question the word "try" there, but in that instance the Gardevoir pushed into his mind numerous images of her attempts at writing. Most of it barely even looked like scrawl, the lines shaky and what might've looked like letters spaced so far apart or closely together, it all too often looked like a child's scribbled notes.
"Oooooh... Well, I wouldn't worry about it too much, Nova," Zero patted the pokemon on the head, and once again tried to straighten out the loose locks of hair, to no success. "Guess it just means we'll have to teach you how to write properly. You already know the words so it won't be too hard."

Du was never much of a morning person, so when Isis moved on and pulled herself into the bathroom, Du gave a groan and hogged the rest of the sheets to cuddle around for a while. It wasn’t until Zero knocked lightly on the door that Du sat up in a blurry haze and blinked repeatedly at the door as things slowly settled into her brain. She could hear Isis in the shower but nothing clicked just yet, so she sat there for a little while longer before pushing herself out of bed and going to answer the door. With her hair a mess, one shoulder totally exposed and rubbing sleep out of her eyes, Du opened the door for Zero. Du didn’t really say anything at first but it was obvious that she was out of it for the moment, it would probably take till after breakfast until she woke up fully. ✿ ❀Turning the water off, Isis heard movement outside of the bathroom door. It sounded like Du was up at least, which was good since Isis was almost ready for the day. Drying her hair off and wrapping the towel around her torso, Isis stepped outside briefly to greet Du and grab her clothes. "Morning Du~ How did you--" Isis came to a full stop the moment she saw Du curled up in their blanket nest and Zero standing in the doorway. A bright pink rolled up from Isis' neck to the tips of her ears as she hurriedly grabbed her bag and darted back into the the bathroom as fast as she possibly could. At the very least she'd had a towel, but that didn't make it any less embarrassing. She hadn't expected Zero to be in the room, but it explained the shuffling around she'd heard. Du must have just let him in. Isis had to take a moment to catch her breath and get over the embarrassment, covering her face and sighing. Why did this keep happening....? To make matters worse, she got a text from Leon soon after, and Isis glanced it over.

With a sigh Isis sent the text, eventually getting dressed and brushing her hair out into two ponytails before she peeked out of the bathroom again. At first it appeared that Zero had left, but taking a few steps out of the bathroom, she spotted Zero in the doorway. She approached, avoiding eye contact, and silently motioned for them to head down the hallway so that they could let Du sleep. She closed the door gently behind her and walking alongside Zero and Nova as they made their way towards the cafeteria. "I.... I'm sorry.... I didn't expect you to be there."
