-----ι'd been talking, giving orders, sort of, to the genin one moment. Most of me was numb and what I could feel was so cold it hurt. I tried to come up with a way to translate what was happening to Hakanai, and then... The next thing I knew, I was shaken roughly awake. My head was swimming and felt like a dead weight on an unresponsive body. I was exhausted, and would have been convinced I was hit full on by Zangai if I were told so. Given the situation, that was improbable but not impossible. It was so easy to just fall back into unconsciousness. -----Breathing in deeply, I forced myself to stir enough to acknowledge whoever woke me. My eyes felt lead lined as I opened them to meet Hakanai's gaze. Seeing her safe and sound made me all the happier she was the first person I saw. But she wasn't looking at me; her attention was fixed on her hand, still firmly grasping my arm. Concerned by the neutral, almost bored expression, I took an opportunity to get a bearing of my location. We were in a room in the dojo, dummies pilled and lit ablaze for warmth. I'd been swaddled in blankets and what looked to be clothes donated for the drive while, wrapped around me, was a rather upset cub. Or I guessed; he didn't exactly have features that portrayed emotion in the same way as a human's did. Besides that, the wind howled outside, and an unfamiliar face stood in the doorway. I carefully pushed myself upright to see him better, holding myself propped with an arm that about as strong as jelly; just the small action sent my heart pounding hard enough to make my head throb. Maybe that was a bad choice. Cringing slightly in pain, I pressed a hand against my temple and turned to look at the newcomer. -----Dark hair, dark eyes, tall and a medium build, the sword at his left hip gave away his standing as a swordsman. Another one, huh? He showed no sign of threat, arms held by his side, no tension aside from what I guessed was confusion. Not that I could have done anything anyway, being about as useless as a wet noodle, but it didn't mean I wouldn't try to protect the white-haired tamer that came to check on me. Sighing balefully I laid into Shu's thick fur. This was awful. I had no idea what was going on or what the status of the village was, but I was too weak to be able to do anything beyond maybe give orders once I could think straight. I turned my gaze back to Hakanai and snatched her hand from my arm, brow furrowing. Something simple... Thinking in my own language was hard enough, but remembering how to sign? Thankfully I did remember, after longer than I liked, and I asked, 'You okay?' She didn't look hurt, but, again, I hadn't the faintest clue what was going on.

Waiting cautiously, while still clueless of the events that were transpiring, he peaked into the glowing room only to see stacked dummies on top of each other ablaze in a controlled inferno. He came around the entrance, his body now blocking the door way as he looked in to see the Raikage on the floor and a woman in the room besides him, accompanied by a large cat. He walked in still assessing the situation, but given his lack of experience, there wasn't much he could assess except by looking stupid. Still he showed no concern or face, not that he didn't know there was anything wrong. "What happened here?" He asked as the cold could be heard from his voice. The warmth from the fire helped, but not by much. There was so many questions he had, he just didn't know where to begin.

He started to stir. That was good news. My hand stilll stayed firm with the grip around his wrist but it wasn't anything to be concerned with. It was almost if I was the mother and he was the child and I needed to make sure that he behaves. Once I nodded softly in approval, his body was doing much better and I didn't need to really watch over him anymore. My grip around his wrist released as I moved back to the spot I was at before I decided to go into the room. With a deep sigh, I started to make myself slightly comfortable but my left foot feet was on the floor solid in case I needed to jump out and move fast if the situation calls for it. Right now, it doesn't. My pale eyes just glanced at the fire.
Shu noticed that Kaileer was starting to stir and that was good. With a deep sigh, his ears were still flat against his skull. He didn't like what was going on. And the sheer fact that no one was communicating with Hakanai and Shu, upset him a lot. He glanced towards Hakanai and growled, the rumbles of his growl started to vibrate throughout the floor. Shu caught Hakanai look at him and shrugged him off. Shu growled loudly and whined softly, he was concerned. Something was up. With that, he turned his head and licked the side of Kaileer's face.
I didn't care. If Shu wanted my attention, too bad. I just didn't want to be here. Why was I here anyways? I Should go to the hospital and see if people are okay. Do my job or something like that. Yea. I saw movement of the hands and my eyes glanced back towards the Kage of the Village. I saw that he asked if I was okay. What did he mean? I wanted to expand on it but I remembered that his sign language wasn't very good. So how can I answer? Ah well. I'm not going to bother to get paper and pen so instead, I sent the Kage of the Kumogakure, a shrug.
Osamu watched as all their jutsu took effect, smirking to himself as the creature imploded and the remaining ice was melted by his fire. It was then that that he noticed that the annoying shrieking noise he’d need hearing for a while was gone and that he was feeling a decent bit better, even though he was still kind of tired. When Hatsu turned to him and told him to go protect the others back where he had set the warming fires, Osamu had an idea for another way to help keep people warm along with the fires. Nodding, he turned and walked towards the other room and the others. When he reached the room, he noticed the white haired girl by Kaileer, he shrugged it off and looked around. Feeling the warmth of the fires again, Osamu would sigh slightly before teling the people in the room his idea, “So, I have an idea that could help everyone stay warmer, if you’d like.. one of my clan’s jutsu lets us create a cocoon around ourselves or others. It’s usually used for recon or surveillance according to my parents, but it provides everything necessary for life so would likely be insulating enough to keep you warm.” He’d then walk over to the side and up the wall before spinning himself a cocoon and hanging from the ceiling, letting himself relax as the warmth of the cocoon eased his bones and the full feeling in his hands and feet returned.
"Be the fly on the wall…..strike like a nest of hornets."

-----αs soon as she saw that I was awake, Hakanai moved away. It wasn't exactly the reaction I was expecting, but okay. Maybe she was busy with something else. Or apparently she was busy just sitting there. Did I do something wrong? I mean, I was barely conscious. Unless I said something stupid before I passed out? No that didn't make sense either. I didn't think I knew enough signs to say something stupid, and if I vocalized a comment, well, she couldn't hear it. She did catch my question however, and I got a shrug in response. Alright, I definitely did something wrong. -----Someone spoke and my attention was drawn away. The young man who'd stood in the doorway made his way into the room inquiring the situation. Except I had no answer for him. For all I knew, the village didn't exist beyond these walls anymore. The thought of it made my heart skip a beat. But Hakanai would have informed me were that the case. I hoped. Sitting up again to face him fully, now that a little bit of strength had returned, I explained the situation as well as I could. "I'm honestly not sure myself." I pressed a hand against the side of my head. The cold was finally starting to leave my limbs, and I was starting to get almost too warm. "There's the storm outside, of course..." The howling winds gave that away. "All I know is that I heard ringing, suddenly felt weak, and woke up here. Ah..." Pinching the bridge of my nose, I tried to put a name to the man's face, but none came to mind. He must have been new. "You are...?" Eloquence wasn't one of my strong points in general, but it was utterly lacking at the moment. -----As I finished, Osamu stepped into the room around the newcomer. The young Aburame mentioned something about keeping people warm, and being used for recon, and proceeded to spin a cocoon and hang it from the ceiling with him inside. I gaped after him briefly before shrugging it off and carefully pushing myself up to my feet. I was forced to stop half way, hands on my knees, as a wave of dizziness washed through me, draining any warmth from my face for a horrifying second. I thought I was going to pass out again. But I managed to keep my consciousness and stand straight. I wasn't sure if the cocooned genin could hear me, but I asked regardless. "I need a report on what's happened."

Though the answers didn't satisfy his question, he didn't think much of what was going on. For now he could only speculate on what information he had. His touched his chin with his palm thinking of other possibilities before his thoughts were interrupted. "I'm Sorry, I'm Toshihiro." He said with a slight laugh and scratching the back of his head. Then he straightened himself up and bowed slightly. "Nakano Toshihiro, that is." He said introducing himself properly this time, with a more serious tone in his voice. He could always which his demeanor quickly, which he believed other found weird or interesting. He stood straight, studying the Raikage for a moment. His looks were deceiving but he knew that anyone who possessed the title of Kage we're not to be trifled with.
He turned to watch another shinobi wrap himself in a cocoon. 'Interesting... Just like a spider...' The warmth from the fire helped a little bit, but for now he would endure the cold. He decided to stay silent for the time being, seeing as he had no idea what was going on and his input would be useless.

My cool blue eyes watched what was going on. I stayed quiet. Ha. How funny. I mean after all, I am deaf. My attention was taken away for a moment as I watched a genin that was in the same room as that creature, created a cocoon. With a shrug, I wasn't surprised or anything. Heck, I don't care for anything. I did become a bit worried when I saw that the Kage had to slowly get up and placed his hands on his knees. Was something the matter? Maybe I should check him medically. After all, we can't go an important leader like him go to waste. Alongside with him, I rose up to approach him and do another diagnosis, only ended up on my back and my breath caught.
Shu. His heavy weight on me as the moody teenager cub had the nerve to growl at me. I just gave him a blank look and pushed him off. I wasn't in the mood for his temper tantrums all because I didn't pet him earlier. Not pleased, I felt a strong grip and pain on my arm, with a turn of my head, I saw that he bit my arm and was holding my arm in his mouth. With a sigh, I just smacked his cheek and tugged on his whiskers and continued to do so until he removed my arm from his slobbering mouth.
Bundled comfortably up in his cocoon, Osamu couldn’t help but drift off for a short nap… as he slept, his cells went into overdrive healing any damage there was and restoring his energy a great deal. His bugs also started reproducing like crazy as he slept, feeding off the extra chakra that he recovered.
After a few minutes, he slowly awoke, cutting his way out of the cocoon and flipping to land on his feet. “Ok.. I feel better now….” He’d say somewhat cheerfully as he felt the fire he’d started a while back stave of the cold. He felt like he should go look around the village to survey the damage, but also felt like he should get a little bit more training in first….

-----αt the very least, I suppose I got an answer from one person. The dark-haired young man gave his name. Toshihiro. That wasn't a name I knew either. Great, another newbie to throw into the mix of whatever was going on. He bowed, but said nothing more. Osamu in his cocoon remained silent, and Hakanai, well, she gave me the cold shoulder and couldn't hear anyway, so my order went unnoticed. I still had no idea what I'd done, and she evidently had no intention of telling me. The lack of respect from my senior genin infuriated me on top of all of the confusion. -----A gasp from behind made me jump and I whirled, a motion I quickly regretted, my hand going to the sword still strapped to my side... Just to find Shu laying on Hakanai. He growled threateningly, but her gaze in return was emotionless. Unsatisfied by her reaction, he proceeded to bite her arm, but she hardly seemed to notice, pulling at the cub's whiskers until he was forced to let go. I relaxed slightly, and turned at a thud to the side to find Osamu released from his cocoon, mentioning he felt 'better'. -----And I lost it. -----Ever since taking this title--No, even before that. What was it that I did wrong to earn respect from my peers? The UHV attack when I was genin. Despite going through just as much s**t as anyone else in this damned village, doing more than them even after finding the dead bodies of my companions, I was the only survivor not promoted all the way to jounin. And then when I finally reached jounin, being given genin tasks while the rest of my class was sent on a mission to kill the leader of the UHV. I was still convinced that the only reason I'd been handed the title of Raikage was because every other shinobi but Wan basically bailed after Kinpaku stopped caring. Or something. It wasn't like I could ask her, because she left too. As Kage, Myurai, the other survivors, the genin... I thought Hakanai respected me, but now this... -----A draw blade pointed at the blonde kid's throat, crackling with electricity, steely gaze fixed on his. "I've had about enough of you genin ignoring orders." My heart pounded in my ears and I felt lightheaded. My eyes fell away and I withdrew the sword. Since they evidently could do nothing without direction, it fell upon me to tell them. I jerked my head toward the door. "Bundle up and search the village. Take Hakanai and Toshihiro here with you. Report anything you find to the ANBU at the office and follow their instructions." Shrugging off the remained of my covers, I stepped back and sheathed the sword. I'd learned by then that it was better to just do things myself if I wanted it done. Sweeping my angry gaze around the room, I headed away from the safe haven to find out for myself what had happened.

Osamu thought about what he should learn, then figured he should start with some basic sealing and summoning techniques. Walking over to the side of the room, the genin found a few scraps of paper and a pen along with some practice weapons and sat down to start. Drawing a simple containment seal, Osamu placed a wooden training kunai on the seal as he tapped it to activate it. Quickly the kunai was pulled into the seal as a small vacuum formed. ‘Ok, so the most basic version works…’ he thought to himself as he tapped the seal again and unsealed the wooden kunai. (Kaifu/ Funyu E rank Learned)
Nodding to himself, Osamu gathered up a few more wooden kunai as he added a few prongs to the containment seal and place three or four kunai on top of it. Making a quick handsign, he touched the seal and watched as the vacuum happened again and sucked the weapons in. Smiling, the genin tapped the seal again to release the tools. (Kaifu/ Funyu D rank Learned)
Digging through the box of training weapons he’d found, Osamu grabbed a bunch more kunai, for a total of about a dozen and went back to his sealing practice. Adding a few more prongs to the seal, Osamu figured that it should hold more things as he performed the handsigns and tapped the seal. The vacuum would happen again as the pile of kunai were quickly sucked into the seal and contained. Smiling slightly to himself, the genin performed a different handsign and tapped the seal, causing the pile to appear again in a small puff of smoke. (Kaifu/ Funyu C rank Learned)
Pushing his limits, Osamu dug through the wooden training weapons box and pulled out a couple swords, and some more weapons to pile onto the seal after he had added a couple more prongs to the seal. Holding the paper towards the pile, he performed a handsign and watched the vacuum vortex begin as it sucked all the weapons into the seal. As the weapons finished disappearing into the seal, Osamu smiled slightly to himself . (1/2)
Once he had completed the sealing, Osamu walked o the side a little and laid the paper seal-side up on the floor. Performing the handsigns for the summoning side, the genin tapped the seal with his foot and stepped back quickly. A small-ish puff of smoke appeared as all the weapons came out of the seal to form a pile again with the paper buried underneath. Smiling, Osamu put the weapons al back in the training box. (2/2 – Funyu/ Kaifu B rank Learned)
Grabbing a scroll, Osamu unfurled it to smirk slightly as he had found the key jutsu to more advanced summoning and sealing. Reading through the scroll, he’s mutter the handsigns to himself in his head as ran through them without molding chakra. After a few tries, he felt like he had it down fairly well. (Kuchiyose no Jutsu Learned)
As he read through the second part of the scroll, the way to reverse what he had summoned, Osamu muttered to himself as he performed the set of handsigns in reverse. He thought about the things he’d be able to summon through this new technique, which apparently allowed for genetic contracts. Once he felt like he had a handle on the handsigns, he rolled the scroll back up and put it away. (Gyaku Kuchiyose no jutsu Learned)
Grabbing a doton scroll, Osamu read through it quickly, chuckling to himself slightly when it said that with this particular jutsu, he could take away chakra usage from an enemy and even knock them out if they’re in contact with the ground long enough. The genin sat reading through the scroll carefully, wanting to understand all the particulars involved with this somewhat strange technique. (1/3)
Once Osamu finised with the effects of the technique, the began reading through what the handsigns for the jutsu were, mutter them to himself quietly. Once he had read them a few times, he set the scroll aside and began practicing the handsign series, trying to flow through them as quickly and smoothly as possible. After a few tries, he felt like he had them down fairly well. (2/3)
Thinking he had the jutsu, Osamu faced one of the few dummies not currently on the pyre and started molding his chakra. Performing the handsign series he had just memorized, the Aburame knelt down and touched the floor. He felt his chakra leave him as there was a small wave through the floor towards the dummy and the boy smirked, knowing that if it were a real opponent, their ability to mold chakra would be disrupted temporarily. (3/3 Pulsating Earth Learned)
Walking back over by the rest of the group, Osamu flinch back slightly when Kaileer freaked out and put his sword to his throat. After a few seconds, the kage barked orders and stormed off....
'The hell was all that about?!' he thought to himself before shrugging his shoulders and looking around at the people he was supposed to go search the village with. One he had sort of met before, they had worked together to put up the tree in the village center before everything went to hell, the other....he didn't think he had ever seen the guy before.
Looking to the others again, the genin grabbed an extra coat or two and put them on before tossing others to the other two shinobi. "Let's move out." he'd say flatly as he tapped Hakanai on the shoulder and motioned towards the door, having remembered that she was deaf. He'd then turn and head for the door himself.
[exits]
"Be the fly on the wall…..strike like a nest of hornets."
Getting a little tired of training Inori began the tiring process of dragging all the scrolls she had drug out back into their designated spots. Which, as before, left her arms tingling a bit from the strain. Though as she walked back into the room she happened to catch what she could only describe as a soap opera gone bad. The kage, was booty deep into crewing out a boy because he was tired of people not following his orders. On top of that he had a naked blade upon the kids throat. Well this escalated quickly didnt it. Though she, as emphatic as she was, felt sorry for him. She had been in that situation before with both her critics and her producers. She knew exactly what it was like to be in his shoes, only difference was hers was personal and his was militaristic. She knew that hell, to be in control yet have no control at all. It was half the reason she had become a shinobi. When he stormed out and shed a bunch of layers she noticed he wasnt wearing her coat... her satin, fur lined, hand made, three thousand ryo, fox fur coat... No, it was on the floor. Now that, that was going to piss her off. Storming across the room just like the spoiled girl she was she picked up her coat brushed it off and threw it over her shoulders and tying the coat in place with a huff,"RUDE. He is so paying the dry cleaning bill for this." Exclaiming her irritation at the mistreatment of her coat she stormed out after him. She was going to give him one hell of an earful.

I don't feel good. Wait. I don't feel good. Confused and my mind spinning, my hand slowly reached up and felt the soft silky white hair strands between my fingers. I didn't feel good. I started to feel angry. Confused. My heart thudded against the rib cages once more as I started to remember what happened. The monster. Or creater, or whatever that was. I remembered people mouth's moving but I didn't understand a word of it. What was going on? I started to feel a throbbing pain on my arm. Grimaced, my blue eyes looked down and I saw the bite mark as well the blood that was pooling and forming. My brows furrowed as I looked at Shu. He growled, I could feel the rumble and lowered his head at me. He looked at me like I was a stranger. Fear.
What was going on? For a moment there, once the creature died, I felt nothing. I remember being blinded by anger and it just vanished? It didn't make sense at all! Frustration. My hand went over as I started to heal my hand. Shaikly, I rose it, to pet Shu. He snarled at me and backed away, his fur standing at all ends. I brought my hand back. Something was wrong. Very wrong. Unknown to me what was going on, my head turn to look at Kaileer but all I saw was him storming off. Quickly, I rose to my feet to go after him but Shu stopped me. For a moment, I wanted to kick him but figured he should have a good reason. Typically, he would be lying down and being lazy like he always does but if he's up and blocked me, there was for a reason. Unknown to me, it was because Shu heard an order. Yet, the pink haired female ran after Kaileer and a pinged of loss of trust started to ride on me.
Shu growled and pressed up against my hips. I attempted to snarl back but realized something, I was out of breath. My lips curled into a frown as I brought my hands up, my hands were shaking. I was so full of anger and frustration that everything was becoming blind to me, even that I was angry. What was going on? I wanted answers! People were not giving them to me! I hated Kaileer. That moment, I hated him. He knew I was deaf and didn't bother to let me know what was going on!? A tap on my shoulder force me to spin on my heel as my eyes glared right at the male. I remembered him. He was at the Christmas Tree but I don't believe I knew his name. I hoped he would tell me what's going on, but instead, he just pointed at the door and headed out.
That's it.
I'm tired of it.
Marched my way to the blank scrolls, I grabbed a few and took few pens as well, I scribbled fast with my left hand, it was messy but readable, 'What is going on' and shoved the scroll at his chest.
Being stopped short as he was heading for the door, Osamu saw the scroll and pen pushed in his chest by Hakanai. Reading quickly, he took a pen and scribbled on the scroll quickly, “I finished off the ice monster from before.. wherever it came from… I think some kind of weird smoke that came from its ‘heart’ messed with our heads to make us not care about things for a while. I don’t know what’s going on with Kaileer, but he told me to take you and Toshihiro,” he’d point to the other genin, “ and patrol the village, see what we can find, and report anything to the ANBU.” he’d then hand the scroll back to hakanai for her to read. As he waited, he’d feed a bit of chakra to the kikaichi in his gourd, still trying to build up a good reserve of insects.
"Be the fly on the wall…..strike like a nest of hornets."

Good. He was starting to write. I exhaled slowly. Very slowly. I needed to calm down and figure out what was going on. When he was done, my hands took the scroll as I started to read it. He finished the monster? No. It was team work last I remembered. I already didn't like him. Taking credit when his other two teammates, the one with black hair and the one I met while I was volunteering at the soup kitchen, they did a lot too. I wasn't sure what, but teamwork meant that. I continued to read and that he felt it too. Well, felt was a wrong word but was under the influence that made us feel nothing. To not care. I frowned softly when he had no idea what was going on with Kaileer but it seemed we were ordered to patrol. With a deep sigh, I nodded as I walked over to the bag. My eyes glanced towards to where Kaileer was and a ping of guilt came over me. Was... me not caring affected him badly? I needed to talk to him. But we both know. Village comes first. Always. Not him, not me, village. With a bitter bite on my gums, I put the scroll into my bag along with the pen. Made sure I was bundle up and changed coat since Shu tore into the one earlier, I nodded softly towards Osmau. The faster we can finish, the more quickly I can talk to Kaileer and explain to what happened. My blue hues glanced towards the other genin I had not yet met and tilted towards the door. I wanted him to be in the middle with Shu and me behind. That way, I could protect them the best as I could and I would be attacked first.

Nakano Toshihiro
Sensing the annoyance from the Raikage, Toshihiro only nodded. Though there was one problem with him being sent on a mission right now. There was a lack of answers and details and he was totally lost. "Patrol the village for what?" He thought seeing as he was being paired with two other genin. "I'm still new and I haven't been able to train properly. Surely, I'll just get in the way." He said bluntly out loud and truthfully. He sighed lightly, as he noticed these genin were from a different class. He noticed that they had been trained and he has yet to begin the true training and teachings of a shinobi. "However, you're in charge. I'll follow whatever command you give." He said forming a light smile on his face. Aside from not being trained at all or having any skills, he just didn't want to go back out into the cold.
He looked at the others now, seeing what they decided. He was in no position to choose but the least he could do was warn them he would get in the was if any threat arose.
