Turning towards the changing rooms, Sylva stared, somewhat wide-eyed when Luca appeared. "I think your other outfit covered more skin." She commented. "It looks good." Quickly adding in that compliment albeit half-honestly, as to not upset the woman who'd graciously was giving them free clothes after they'd got done with this little puppet show. Quickly snatching up the first series of clothes that looked like they matched, she vanished into her own changing room. The woman happily smiled, stepping towards Luca. "You also have very pretty hair, two-tone hair is becoming rather popular lately. Anyway, I hope you and your companion have fun. Again, sorry for laying this on both of you. To be honest this is only my first week as the general manager, and I guess some of the long-time models were rather upset when I got promoted over them." Which likely explained why two of her models flaked. "Hehe, but I can't let that get to me. Again, have fun, girls. If you need anything I'll be in that back room over there." She quickly pointed her thumb towards the only door with a nameplate and the words ' General Manager's Office' displayed.
Moments after she vanished, Sylva finally came out. Her outfit consisted of pre-ripped shorts that cut off just below where the crease of her butt rested, a long muscle tee- with a skull and the words 'live like you were dying' displayed on it. The shirt itself was white and the arm was so low cut that the bra Sylva was now wearing could be easily see, as was a small section of her ribcage. Seemingly the outfit fit together as though the strapless-bra was meant to be seen. As for shoes, a simple pair of strapped sandels. "To be honest, I hated these kinds of clothes when I was younger, but this does look decent on this body." Sylva commented. "Surfer punk?" Pulling her hair up into a single pony she used a scrunchy from an accessory table to tie back her hair. "Well, why don't we get to work?" Sylva added, though her tone didn't hide the disdain at all.
As promised, just around 11:3o two girls came into the store asking around for the GM, of which appeared as soon as she was summoned. The woman seemed far to eager to please, something Sylva had picked up on, as likely the rest of the staff did. Likely why she got the promotion; some called it brown-nosing, but she was honestly in love with working here, and seemed to just want to make this place continue to run smoothly. After she sent the new girls back to the staff room to find their own selection of outfits, the woman called over Luca and Sylva. "Thank you girls so-so much." She cooed. "As promised you're welcome to take one of the outfits with you, free-of-charge. Heck, you did so well, I'm going to toss in a 25 dollar gift card, if you feel like coming back and maybe picking up something else later on." Holding forward two cards, the woman then left once more, heading towards the staff changing room as per where Luca and Sylva were going to head so they could grab their things.
"So, are you keeping anything?" Sylva inquired once they were back in the changing room. "I think I'll just stick with this." She noted, looking down at her current outfit. The last one she'd tried on. Sleevless with a bit of a Japanese vibe, with a obi-style belt. The outfit was a mix primarily of Black, White and red with a splash of blue, yellow and green here and there. With thigh-high red stockings and biker-style boots it all looked rather... wild, but compared to the outer outfits this one suited her new body the best. The plus side was the outfit easily converted to a bathing suit, which would be helpful if they decided to hit a beach at some point.

Elena knelt down next to Poppy when they had reached the outskirts of Hau'oli City before producing the little blue pokémon's pokéball. She didn't want the popplio to get overwhelmed by all the business of the city while trying to keep up with them. So for now, the pokémon was going back into its ball. "Alright. This place is pretty busy, so we'll see you later, okay?" she explained to her new starter before recalling Poppy back into her ball with a soft glow of red light and a little wave. She stood again once that business was taken care of and looked to make sure Egan was still with her before walking into the city with him.
Busy streets were lined with travelers and natives alike as they actually entered the city. It was a rather large place, and yet... "Did you know that Hau'oli City is the biggest city in Alola?" Elena asked a bit abruptly as that fun fact popped back into her mind. Her brain was filled with generally useless trivia. She would make a great contestant on a game show. Elena cast a glance over to Egan as they walked down the sidewalk in order to his reaction to that information. "It doesn't really feel that big though, does it? I think it's because there's a lack of skyscrapers, and I usually associate big cities with really tall buildings, ya know?" She came from Kalos, after all, and Kalos had Lumiose City which was massive in comparison to Hau'oli City. "Maybe I'm just too used to Lumiose City though," she mused aloud in a bit of a mumble as she thought about it for herself. She wasn't from Lumiose City, but Laverre City was close enough to it that she was rather familiar with The City of Light.
Regardless of his answer, this conversation did raise a question that she'd yet to think about. Where was he from anyway? She filed it away to perhaps ask whilst they were eating, or maybe he'd ask her if she was from Lumiose City which would spark the conversation. Either way, they soon turned a corner and headed further into the shopping district before coming upon the café she had mentioned. A soft blue awning ruffled about in the breeze with the words 'Sunkern Café' printed onto the fabric. "Oh, this is it," she mumbled as she vaguely gestured to the café so he knew they could head inside when they got closer.

It wasn't terribly long before dirt roads gave way to a paved street, signaling that they had indeed reached the outskirts of Hau'oli city. Egan had seen the city from, the boat as he was arriving, but after visiting the Professor's "lab" and walking the underdeveloped pathway to the city itself, he had started to wonder if his mind hadn't been playing tricks on him. The town was a sprawling metropolis like Celadon or Goldenrod, but it certainly wasn't the smallest city he'd ever seen. Egan took his time examining the modest skyline of the town as his companion returned her pokemon to it's Pokeball so that it wouldn't get lost in the crowds. He may have hated the weather here, but the views certainly didn't disappoint; the way the city blended into the beach reminded him of Cinnabar island, only with a more resort-like charm in place of Cinnabar's modern feel. Egan slid his camera out of his pocket once more and snapped a picture of the vista. He looked over his shot on the camera's LCD screen, frowned, and deleted the picture; a car had driven through the shot and ruined the photo. Egan's attention was pulled back to the present by the tinkling of Elena calling his name and beckoning him over to her.
"Did you know that Hau'oli City is the biggest city in Alola?"
Egan stared at Elena for a moment, before beginning to chuckle at her joke. The city was a decent size, sure, but he couldn't imagine it being the biggest city in the whole region. "Oh that's a good one!" he said. He may have revealed his lack of knowledge about the region, but he wasn't going to take Elena's bait, he knew better than that. His feelings of confidence began to vanish as the girl stared at him with a deadpan expression before continuing.
"It doesn't really feel that big though, does it? I think it's because there's a lack of skyscrapers, and I usually associate big cities with really tall buildings, ya know? Maybe I'm just too used to Lumiose City, though."
She wasn't pulling his leg after all, she was being serious. Rather than betray even more of his ignorance, Egan instead opted to try and brush off his faux pa. "I've seen smaller, at least it's bigger than Pallet Town." He began to scan the sidewalk ahead of him intently, letting the conversation lapse. Ahead, he noticed a man that was doting on a woman significantly younger than himself, a woman that clearly wasn't his daughter judging by the nature of the attention he was giving her; he began to wonder how people perceived him and Elena. Egan grimaced and shook his head to chase away the thought before returning his attention to his mark. As he and Elena passed by the pair, Egan "stumbled" into the elderly "gentleman" before apologizing briskly and walking faster to catch up to Elena; he stuck his hands in his pockets before catching back up with companion. "Lunch is on me by the way."
As they rounded a corner, Elena pointed to a shop with a blue awning, adorned with the words "Sunkern Cafe" along with a stylized image of the pokemon. Upon entering the cafe a rush of cool air danced along Egan's bare arms, soothing his skin. The feeling was delightful; thank Arceus for air conditioning. The cafe was brightly decorated, with yellow walls and furniture in complementary shades of green and brown. Standing at a small receiving podium was a woman black hair pulled back into a ponytail who wasn't much younger than Egan, perhaps her late twenties, wearing a leafy green apron.
"Welcome! Will it just be you and your daughter today?" The hostess asked, grabbing two menus from her podium.
Egan cringed at the woman's mistake but decided against correcting her. It'd be easier for him if he just went along with it. "Yeah, it'll just be the two of us," he replied dryly. The hostess escorted the pair over to a window-side table and placed the menus upon it as Egan and Elena sat down. After taking a moment to read the menu Egan decided upon a bit and some espresso over ice.

Elena paused outside of the café to allow Mabel back into her pokéball while they were inside eating. It was simply easier that way.
A wave of welcome and cool relief washed over Elena as she and Egan entered Sunkern Café. The contrast in temperature between the indoors and outdoors was stark. The scent of baked goods and coffee flooded the air around her, causing further realization at how hungry she actually was. Plus, now she wanted a brownie. She could smell them being made somewhere in the back of the shop and dear Arceus they smelled amazing.
"Welcome! Will it just be you and your daughter today?"
Elena's attention was grasped firmly back to her surroundings as the hostess spoke. A moderately puzzled expression took over her face. His daughter? Either she looked too young for her age or he looked too old for his. She wasn't sure how old Egan was exactly, but there was no way he was old enough to be her dad. However, before Elena could politely correct the lady, Egan had gone ahead and let the assumption slide for the sake of ease. A soft smirk flittered onto her lips for a moment as an idea crept into her mind before she let her countenance fade back to its standard appearance.
The two of them soon sat together at their table. They browsed the menu in background chatter-filled silence, and by the time the waitress came around for their drink order the both of them already knew what they wanted for food as well. Egan ordered first and then the waitress turned to Elena. "Uhm, an iced white chocolate mocha and the summer pasta," she hesitated for a moment before her memory came back to her. "Oh, a brownie too, please? The one with the strawberries and frosting on top." Elena wasn't sure that Egan's offer to pay for lunch had included a dessert as well, but either way, the waitress nodded and left to relay their orders to the kitchen. If there was a problem, which she doubted there would be, then Elena had plenty of money to cover it anyway.
Alone with him at their table once again, Elena turned her olive gaze to Egan. She gave him a kittenish grin. "By the way, I appreciate you covering lunch, daddy." Her voice held a bit of a mocking tone as she obviously referenced him not correcting the hostess earlier. She rolled her eyes to signify she didn't actually care about the situation as she swirled the glass of water next to herself with a straw absently. Was Egan looking at her funny now though? Maybe her joke had gone too far. She quickly sought a change in topic. "So, Kanto, huh? My uncle is from there. What city are you from?"

Once she'd reached the pokemon center, Lana scooted off of Abigail and tied her to the gate before helping Luna off. "Up you go darlin'. We're here. Let's go get your pichu healed up." Lana gently shook her cousin awake and walking her inside, but not before looking back at Abigail briefly. "You behave now Abby. We'll be right back." Lana winked, getting an amused snort from the mudsdale as they walked inside.
Approaching the counter, Lana waited with Luna as she handed her pichu over to Nurse Joy and then moved to the cafe with Luna. After getting their meals and eating a bit, Lana finally sighed. "Alright hun.... This is as far as I'm gonna take you." Lana insisted reluctantly. "I know ya'd rather me travel with you, and... Honestly, so would I, but you ain't gonna get any stronger that way. You've gotta make new friends and learn to work with your pokemon. Understand? Now, I ain't gonna leave ya completely in the dark. Here's my number, an' if you get in any trouble, I'll only be a call away. Just stay here for a little while and train up your team, okay sweetheart? Talk to the locals, they're real friendly here. They'll set ya on the right path." With one last hug, Lana waved goodbye and took a few apples out to Abigail. "Here, I brought you a treat." She chuckled, handing the fruit over and stroking the mudsdale's mane.

It really didn't take too long to reach the city, even in the solemn silence that followed Ducky's declination of a fun activity. Daiki, of course, wasn't satisfied with how quiet things were, and how the mood around his trainer was steadily dropping to new lows. He couldn't remember a time that Ducky had been in this bad of a mood. Sure, he had had his moments here and there, but usually he would have bounced back from it by now. It was rather concerning to the usually carefree Zoroark. However, he was at a loss on what he could even say. It was rather awkward.
"I do not think it wise to put all your focus on your island challenges, Dakota. I do suggest some kind of balance." Katsu offered his opinion on the matter, much to Daiki's surprise. "Yeah! Balance! See, even Katsu gets it! Relax a bit, wouldya?" the Zoroark tacked on, gesturing at the solgaleo and his trainer. Lucina cast a worried glance at the trainer, even though she felt she could agree with such sentiment. Perhaps not with going to the beach to 'pick up babes', but to relaxing and not being so... well, down. "If you want to go and fool around, wasting your time, go on ahead without me." Ducky grumbled, continuing on into the city.
All three of the pokemon around him heaved a sigh in response. As they were coming up on the pokemon center, Daiki let out a growl of frustration. "UGH! DUCKY!!! Being a stubborn mudbray isn't going to change anything! Can't we just-" the illusioned fox snapped, but interrupted himself as he almost ran into a very familiar figure in front of the pokecenter. It was Lana. That woman that had nearly knocked him completely out with a punch the last time they saw each other. And Ducky didn't even notice her, seeming bent on continuing on. "O-oh, Hi Lana! Fancy running into you again. Hey, Ducky! Look! It's Lana and that Mudsdale you delivered!" Daiki swallowed his nerves to greet the woman, then called out to his trainer to get his attention. Katsu tilted his head as he looked over to the woman feeding apples to her mudsdale. Lucina reached out and stopped Dakota from continuing to walk away, causing him to turn around to acknowledge Lana. "Hi Lana." he greeted, lacking the enthusiasm despite the forced amiable expression on his face.

Lana blinked as she heard a rather familiar zoroark raving a little too excitedly about her presence considering the last time they'd encountered each other she'd basically knocked him into next week. It was a good thing Lana wasn't one to really bare grudges. Much. She leered at Daiki's form suspiciously for his strange behavior but smiled at Ducky in greeting. Her smile fell into one of concern however from the halfhearted hello she got in return. Now, she didn't know Ducky all that well, but she didn't have to be best friends with the young man to know something was wrong. "Well howdy! What happened to ya pard? I mean.... 'Sides learning the move rain dance, what with the dark clouds followin' you 'round." The cowgirl quirked a brow and crossed her arms, looking puzzled, but after a moment, she gave Ducky a soft smile. "When's the last time you got some food in ya? Way I see it, best thing for a bad day is some good home-cookin'." She insisted. "An' I don't mean none of that hotel food they got in the centers. No 'ffense to them, but I mean like, real food, fresh cooked. Y'know?" She waved dismissively to the center behind them and untied Abigail, gesturing for Ducky to follow her. "C'mon. I saw a cute lil' malasada place just down the way. Ain't all that healthy, but sure as hell makes for some good comfort food." She was putting it kindly, but frankly, Ducky wasn't going to have a choice in the matter. Lana was going to drag his butt to a malasada shop if it was the last thing she did and come heaven or hell, nothing was going to deter her otherwise.
"You ever had a malasada before pard? It'll be my treat. They're deep fried powder sugared pieces of heaven, I'll tell you what." She chuckled, more than happy to fill in the silence, or to kindly but insistently talk over any objections that Ducky might have tried to voice otherwise. "An' if ya don't want the sweet stuff, they've got savory malasadas too. I love me some egg, cheese, and bacon malasadas in the mornin'. Hooo boy~ Mama makes the best ones back in Akala. She mixes some mashed potato hash into the batter to give the dough that nice crispy tater taste to it. Man, just thinking about it makes my mouth water." All the while, Lana made sure Ducky was actually tagging along with her. "Oh hey, an' who's yer new friend? The big guy." Lana glanced back at Katsu with a smile and small wave. "You probably heard the loudmouth say it already," she shot Daiki a passive aggressive glance, "but I'm Lana, and this here's my trusty partner Abigail. Nice to make your acquaintance." The mudsdale gave a bow of her head to Katsu and a slight whinny in friendly greeting.

Egan leaned back in his chair and lazily crossed his right leg over his left, his eyes floating between the waitress and Elena as she made her order. The girl ordered what was the standard fare for kids her age, a sweet drink that was more milk and sugar than coffee. He had expected the order to end there, but Elena seemed to charge ahead, ordering her food at the same time. He raised an eyebrow as the girl ordered her brownie; the enthusiasm that she ordered the last bit almost reminded him of the schoolgirls staring in bakery windows back in Celadon City. He paused for a moment, remembering the girl's gesture of "locking her lips" with an imaginary key outside the professor's lab. Just how old was she exactly? As the waitress walked away, Elena turned her attention back to him and gave him a joking rib.
"By the way, I appreciate you covering lunch, daddy."
Egan had never understood the appeal of someone referring to their older partner as "mommy" or "daddy", to him it had always seemed odd and inappropriate; then again the term had never been directed at him before. Now that he was being called "daddy" by a cute younger girl he was feeling conflicted, even if it was being used in jest. He supposed he understood a bit now. Egan sat straight in his chair once more before continuing, "As for your question, I'm from Celadon City." He lied, choosing a city that he at least had a good bit of familiarity with. Egan mentally kicked himself for revealing that he had any ties to Kanto; he needed to take better care not to give any more unnecessary information away. The last thing he needed was the girl finding out his past and squealing on him; dealing with Team Rocket was not exactly high on his list of priorities. "How about you. Are you from Lumiose... or just close by?" He asked, attempting to shift the focus back onto the girl.

Elena raised a hand to her face and briefly touched the soft, pale skin of her cheek as Egan suggested she was a teenager. Did she really look so young? She knew that she had a babyface, but to suggest that he was twice her age made her sound especially young in his eyes. Did he think she was a highschooler or something? It caught her off guard enough that he was able to carry on and answer her later question about where he lived. She let him finish before leaning slightly across the table as he had, cheekily mimicking him with a kittenish grin.
"I'm legal," she pointed out firmly before realizing that her statement did not truly clear his ideas about herself. She'd have to be a little more detailed if she wanted him to not think her to be so young. "I appreciate that you think I look so youthful, but I'm not a teenager. So, unless you're in your forties, I highly doubt that you are twice my age." Elena sat back then just as he had and crossed her legs under the table with a shrug. "You're right though. It would have been awkward to explain it. I was just joking with you." Elena brushed a loose strand of her bangs behind her ear as she moved on mentally, letting her mind work on answering his question about where she was from.
"Anyway, Celadon City? My uncle says that it's nice there. Very colorful," she commented before carrying on. "I'm not from Lumiose. I'm from Laverre, which is a little north of Lumiose." Elena somewhat doubted he knew anything about either of the cities she was talking about if she was being honest. After all, he didn't seem to know much of Alola, so why would Kalos be any different? She sipped her water, and it was at that moment that the waitress returned with their coffee and meals. Quick service. Impressive.
She started to dig in after giving a faint thank you to the waitress and watching her walk away. Elena and Egan exchanged light chatter while eating. Most of the topics revolved around Elena as Egan seemed to brush away any attention or openings she gave him to tell her about his personal life. For someone who supposedly wanted to travel with her, which implied getting to know one another, he sure came off as secretive. As she finished eating her food she set her fork down and turned to eye the brownie that had been brought to the table. The white frosting was swirled delicately in the middle of the chocolatey treat and in the center lay strawberries cut into the shape of a flower.
She felt a bit full though. Her eyes had been bigger than her stomach, and the brownie was larger than expected. "Would you want to split the brownie with me?" Elena asked softly, and as Egan gave her a yes she cut the dessert in half for them to split equally. Her fingers carefully picked up her own piece before munching away happily yet carefully so that the strawberries didn't slide off.

Egan choked on the water he had been sipping and coughed, sputtering for air briefly as his cheeks turning a faint shade of pink. Elena had proven to be blunt so far, but her flirting here took the cake. Announcing she was legal, that was flirting right? Egan was no stranger to promiscuity, but he'd rarely seen girls be so forthright about it. Egan composed himself as the girl explained that her age difference wasn't quite as large as he had initially though. Good; it made him feel less of a dirty old man. It wasn't long before the waitress returned with their meals and they were able to eat.
Back and forth, the pair bounced idle questions to one another in between bites of their food, with Egan redirecting questions whenever they became too personal. Despite the topics being relatively superficial, Egan was enjoying the girl's company. Now that he was no longer on her bad side, Elena was actually quite pleasant. Egan sadly eyed the last bite of his sandwich he was holding, the rest of which had seemed to vanish into thin air, before shrugging and finishing it off.
"Would you want to split the brownie with me?"
Egan nodded in affirmation and thanked Elena as she took the piece that she offered him. Originally he had written her order off as childish, but he was glad that she had decided to get the brownie. Not only did the dessert look delicious, but after the savory sandwich and coffee, the sweetness of the brownie would serve as a nice compliment. Egan plucked the strawberry "petals" from the brownie and popped them into his mouth one by one before lifting the brownie to his mouth and taking a bite. He had to admit, the girl did indeed have good taste. "So," Egan began, "did you have any plans for where to start? I figure we have to gather a few more Pokemon before we challenge the gyms here." He took another bite and remembered what Elena had told him earlier. "Trials," he corrected himself, "I meant trials." Egan finished the last bite of the brownie before using a hankie he pulled from his breast pocket to blot his mouth, somehow managing to miss a bit of the frosting around the corner of his lips.

Elena resisted poking fun at Egan for mentioning gyms again. He was trying, and that counted for something as far as she was concerned. She finished off the last of her brownie before taking a napkin from the table and patting her mouth to collect any crumbs that had collected at the corners of her lips. With the comfort of a clean face present in her mind, she set the napkin on top of her empty plate. She hopped down from her seat in her chair, letting her feet quietly return to the floor, before starting to answer Egan's question about where they should head next.
"Well, I was thinking of going to Melemele Meadow, actually. Mostly for sight-seeing but--" she hesitated as she watched Egan begin to move his handkerchief away from his face as if he was done cleaning it. He'd missed a spot. Elena took a step closer to him, unconcerned about invading his personal space, as she reached out with her dainty index finger to gather the remnants of white fluff that remained on the corner of his lips. "You missed some frosting," she stated plainly before putting the frosting covered finger to her own lips and licking it off. She stepped away from him again, thinking nothing of the action she'd just performed.
"Like I was saying: Melemele Meadow for sight-seeing, but there's sure to be pokémon there and on the way. Does that sound alright?" He seemed to hesitate in answering her. Her face grew confused as she waited for him to stumble out his okay to the idea. "O..kay. Let's get going then. It's a bit of a walk, and I'd like to be back in town before it gets too dark," Elena explained. She motioned for him to follow before starting to head out of the café and down the road a bit to the entrance of Route 2.

Egan felt himself lock up in shock as Elena scooped the remnants of frosting from his lips and licked them off of her finger. For a solid moment, he just stared at her, before managing to stammer out a "Y-yeah, sure" in response to her suggestion of heading to Melemele Meadow. Egan pushed his chair back and stood, removing a brown leather wallet from his back pocket. He placed some cash on the table in a small pile, making sure to leave the waitress a pretty decent tip. Her service had been excellent, and whether or not she'd seen any of their exchange, chose not to mention it after dropping off their bill. Egan leaned down and grabbed his bag before following Elena from the restaurant, tossing the wallet into the trash before exiting the building. As he walked through the door and back out into Hau'oli City, Egan began to wonder just what kind of a person he'd gotten himself wrapped up with.

Daiki smiled nervously with a light chuckle as Lana greeted him with a leer. At least his greeting had gotten her attention on Ducky. Maybe having another human around could help him. For now, Daiki opted to stay silent. Mostly for his sake. Who knew what Lana might do in response to things he normally said? He wasn't looking to get punched again, and gave Lana a respectful amount of space.
Lana was quick to notice that Ducky was in the dumps. "Wh-what? It's nothing important...I'm just on my way to get a second stamp." Ducky claimed, and though he tried to hide it, it was plain as day on his face that that wasn't true. Of course there were things causing him to have 'rainy clouds' following him around. He didn't want to talk about it. Lana wasn't letting it drop there, however, going on to ask about when the last time he ate. "Uh-" that was the only sound he was able to make in response, as he hardly even remembered the last time he ate. Did he actually even eat this morning? He had been in such a hurry to move on out that he likely didn't even think to grab something to eat. Not to mention he didn't exactly have the stomach for it.
Before he knew it, Lana was insisting that he join her for a malasada, and it was clear she wasn't going to take no for an answer. "Actually i just- wha- hey!" Dakota tried to object, but Lana made sure that he was coming along, taking hold of his wrist when he tried to walk the other way. With a sigh, Ducky relented and followed along willingly, his pokemon companions trailing slightly behind. Lana released his wrist as he complied. "No... I haven't had a malasada yet." Ducky answered, sort of dragging his feet even tho he was heading to the place with Lana. She... really talked a lot. Was she this talkative when he first met her? Or was he only feeling that way because he'd rather be working on getting his stamps and being mopey and alone? "Wait what? A breakfast in a malasada...?" Ducky was sort of struggling to follow the conversation.
Katsu was rather amused with this new woman. She had a rather comforting accent, and was obviously more native than the suanni boy. The illusioned solgaleo contently followed alongside them. "I am called Katsu. It's a pleasure to meet you, Lana and Abigail." he introduced himself as he was addressed. Daiki had flinched a bit when Lana had shot him a passive aggressive glance, making a face as if to say 'what did i do'. Katsu bowed his head politely. He still felt kind of weird that he had to be illusioned as such, since he didn't see the problem with walking around in his actual form. All he knew was that It made Dakota more comfortable being in disguise. "I am just accompanying Dakota through the islands for now." he added in his low but smooth voice. "Y-yeah..." Ducky agreed with the legendary's story, just glad that nothing too weird was said.
"Forgive me for being so quiet, and for chiming in, but my name is Lucina. I have been charged with escorting Dakota through the islands." the gardevoir politely interrupted, arms folded in front of her even as she gave a deep bow in greeting. She had been so silent and lost in her own thoughts that she was possibly easily overlooked at first. The emotion pokemon had her own troubled expression as her green eyes moved over to glance at her current trainer.

The swordswoman pulled a small lock of her hair in between her fingers when the employee finally addressed her, nodding a little bit as she twisted it around. "No worries, you're helping us out too with this arrangement. So it all works out," She reassured. Now that all the pieces came together, it made Luca feel a little better about needing to do this. As unfamiliar as she was with the trappings of retail work, even she could understand the problems that arise from spiteful coworkers. By the time things were settled and the manager disappeared into her office, Luca was already waiting for her companion, eager to see what precisely she'd be working with to start.
A smile formed across her lips as she looked Sylva over with an appraising eye, almost happy to see the girl actually filling out her clothes. "I'd say it's a nice look for you. Even if the style's not quite a match." The woman chuckled, letting her arms fall to her side as the former-redhead made the finishing touches. Luca herself slid over to the table to gather one last accessory herself, putting on a wide-brim sunhat to complete the look. "Yeah, let's get to it."
When their last shift finally reached its conclusion, it couldn't come soon enough. Despite being a bit more interested in their task than Sylva, Luca was hardly an expert on displaying fashion. The whole time they were out on the floor showing off an outfit, she did little more than lock up like a statue, occasionally shifting into a pose and keeping a straight face. She nearly slumped over her companion over dramatically when they were finally set free, opting instead to simply rest an arm on her shoulder while looking over the card.
"I might," She started, taking a moment to look over herself. Most of her options had been comprised of beach attire, either for a lounging chaperones or proper swimwear. The latter was what she had upon completing their task; a simple, red tube-top bikini with a thin, matching sash around her waist that extended down to her ankles. It left the bulk of her muscular body on display, powerful arms out for all to see along with one powerful leg, to say nothing of her toned abs. During the day, much like Luca, Sylva was pretty stiff. Though, Sylva's stiffness was mostly fake. Of course old habits die hard, so she had to catch herself while walking, the thought of being a model over went her strive to not be a model. Even still, the day went by relatively quick. She over heard a few girls elaborate that they wanted what Luca was wearing, as well as Sylva, so at least they helped make some sales. In the end when they got their reward and were fully released from their one-day job. "Yea, it's only been a couple hours but that was pretty exhausting work." It's hard trying to hide someone who wished you hadn't been after all.
Heading to the backroom, Sylva folded up her old clothes and shoved them into her bag. They were still new clothes after all, no use tossing'em. She could use them for something later down the road maybe. After that she turned to Luca and held up the card. "Might as well splurg it now." She agreed. It didn't seem like they were going to be coming back, at least not specifically for mall. Heading into the shop, Sylva picked up a few spare hair ties, just encase, two wraps that tied up into a sort of bracelet, and a pair of earrings that caught her eyes. All in all it left little to nothing left on the card. With that aside, it was time for them to finally get moving.
