Ashley smirked a little at Elizabeth’s surprise, an eyebrow quirking as she took in the sight of Octave. "Oh? You have not?" He inquired, though he supposed that it made sense. A Porygon2 didn’t exactly strike him as a ‘contest’ type of pokemon –maybe in the clever or smart division but really, there were better choices – and so it made sense that she probably hadn’t encountered such a creature before. He gestured half-hearted at the hovering pokemon next to him. "He is a Porygon2. Zee second in zee evolution line, to be exact." He explained, watching as Octave seemed to bob in agreement. At the mention of his colors he nodded a bit.
"Merci, he was a special gift. Zee colors are quite nice." He’d never really thought much on Octave’s coloration to be honest, though must of his pokemon were like that. It suited Ashley well enough though and helped the Porygon2 blend with his electronics. At the mention of his work, he fell into quiet consideration. He was hardly one for ‘cover’ stories like field agents; in fact he saw no real issue in just telling the truth, whether it was safe or not. In this instance though, at least until he’d met with Lyndon to confirm what he ought to be doing and just how much he could really say, he decided to remain vague. Just a bit.
"Ah, I am a computer specialist. I work with… zee network systems and such." He replied. That was mostly truth and really was his main job. Mostly. At the moment of course, that was far the course, but for now it was the truth. Deciding to turn the attention away from that though, he gave Elizabeth a glance. "Please, tell me more of your pokemon. I can tell by zee way you speak that they are very important to you. They must be equally as amazing if you hold them so close to your heart."

Elizabeth listened as Ashe had told her that his pokemon is a Porygon2, second in the evolution line and was a special gift. She had wondered if Octave had been a gift from a friend or a loved one. Then she heard him say that he is a computer specialist, working with the network systems and such, having been close with her guess at least. "That sounds nice and definitely interesting." Elizabeth said back to him, nodding and wondering what she would do for a career when she gets older. Then she listened as Ashe was asking her to tell him more about her pokemon, that he can tell they are very important to her and so amazing. She nodded back to him, smiling as she was thinking of all her pokemon. "Thank you and yes, they really are. To me, I consider all of my pokemon as my friends that I love and care for. Each of them has their own story for how they came to be with me, all willingly but we have been through a lot together. There was one event that happened where I was so afraid that I would lose my Sylveon forever, but I didn't end up losing her and we grew closer because of it. Before I even started on my journey in Johto, I had a Skitty growing up and we were best friends, so inseparable. We were going to take the Contests by storm, but unfortunately something happened where I couldn't take her with me when I started my journey. Even though I had caught another Skitty during my journey, I still miss my childhood one to this day." Elizabeth had said back to him, sighing from thinking about her beloved Skitty. Honestly she should have never let her father take Skitty away like that, feeling awful that she did and has lost her forever as a result.

"Merci. It is ah… a good profession. I find myself enjoying it." Ashley remarked, adjusting his glasses again. He noted Octave flying down and over to examine Bastien, eyebrow quirking but shaking his head as he returned his focus to Elizabeth. He listened quietly as she explained about her own pokemon, describing them as friends and the stories associated with each of them. His head tilted curiously as she explained first the story of her Sylveon and nearly losing it. It was a little vague to be honest but he was at least a little pleased to hear that it turned out in her favor.
Frowning a bit though, his gaze narrowed a bit on the story concerning a Skitty. His head tilted down as he took it in, noting the hints of sadness that seemed to be in Elizabeth’s voice. "I see…," He murmured, fiddling with his glasses again in thought as he considered her words. As opposed to the Sylveon story, this one clearly didn’t have a happy ending. "I am sorry that was zee case." He offered as condolence, dropping his hand to his side once more. "It is a shame when one is not able to travel with another so close to them." Ashley shook his head. "I should hope someday, you are reunited." It was probably the most he could say about the situation to be honest. "It is good you have built such powerful friendships. They will take you far."

Elizabeth was glad to hear that Ashe enjoys his profession, hoping that she will find something in the future that she wants to do and likes. She listened as he apologized for what happened to her Skitty and what a shame it is not to be able to travel with someone so close. Then he said that he hoped that someday they are reunited, which made Elizabeth pause and want to cry but didn't. She just simply nodded back to him, making him believe that she agreed with that, even though something like that will never happen. "It's alright, thank you. Yeah, I am very glad and I'm sure that they will." she said back to Ashe, trying to think of what else to talk about and change the subject away from her pokemon. "So I know that you said before that you were meeting an associate in Santalune City. Are you seeing one of your co-workers regarding something to do with work?" Elizabeth then asked him out of curiosity, figuring that should be the case. So then once they both get to Santalune City, they would have to go their separate ways.

Ashley watched Elizabeth a moment as she responded, expression ambiguous as he took it in. He quirked an eyebrow at the change of subject, but went along with it, gaze shifting back to the path ahead once more. Yes, there was clearly something he was missing here. How odd.
"Oui, I am indeed." He remarked with a nod, slight smile returning. "I am going to be dealing with a special contract for a bit; I will be meeting with them to get the appropriate information. Zee boring details really." He mused, chuckling a bit at the thought. Hopefully Lyndon would be providing useful information at least. With how swiftly Faraday had fallen off the grid, he wasn’t getting his hopes up. He’d find a way to locate the man, Interpol’s help or no.
"Certainly nothing worth going into detail about." He glanced up as the route gate to Santalune City came into view, head nodding in that direction. "It appears we have found our way to the city. After you madame." He gestured, allowing her to go through first, glancing back and gesturing his pokemon along as well, wrist flicking out as Octave returned to his place in his device.

Elizabeth was listening as Ashe had talked about how he was meeting a coworker in Santalune City to get the information regarding a special contract he is doing for a bit. She nodded back, hearing as it was just the boring details and not worth going into really. Then they soon came upon the gate for Santalune City, thinking that they finally made it here. It felt like their walk had been much longer than that, probably because they have been chatting a lot after all. She was nodding back to him as he said that they found the city, letting her go through first. "Thank you very much." Elizabeth then said back to Ashe, smiling as she walked and went through the gate first.

On its bad sat a large brightly colored pumpkin. The pokemon's eyes where a bright crisp neon blue and its skin a faded dirty orange. Emory stepped forward transfixed by the odd little grass type but was greeted with a powerful vine crashing into the ground at her feet leaving an indentation in the hard dirt.
A warning growl and the pokemon stood up fully revealing itself. "Careful Miss Nalani, it looks quite upset." Viviette warned as Triston stepped beside Emory looking her way. The mute smiled back pulling out Shuckles poke'ball ready to battle. No way was she going too just pass up such an awesome and rare looking pokemon like this. She had to catch it ! It must be relatively young to be beaten to easily she thought as she tossed another of the white orbs Triston had given her. ► Emory froze for a slit second unsure what exactly had just transpired. The answer came as the dust settled and a Weedle came into focus making its escape back into the underbrush. Its curiosity satisfied more or less. Gogoat sneezed and snorted as he cut a groove into the ground with his hove in what was clearly a protective warning to the poison bug type to back off. Triston looked just as confused but clearly miss the answer making its B-line escape. "what was that about?" He remarked coming up beside the young mutist. Emory signed an answer to Viviette who translated. "It would seem there was a Weedle." Viviette said somewhat shocked herself.
With the threat taken care of Emory stepped into her pokemon to scratch it's chin ad nuzzled its head affectionately. She was over joyed the pokemon looked out for her as they did. It had taken a great deal of time spend with Gogoat to earn its affection and protection. It had been one of the pokemon originally owned by Jessica. It had never liked Emory to much back then. Times changed though. "We should keep moving." Triston said with a smile nodding to the grass type to shove his own personal approval. Emory nodded in agreement. They should find a place to set a sort of makeshift camp to use as their point of operations in the search. She relayed her thoughts to Viviette who translated them for Triston. "Yeah sure. We could use a rest im sure and I think there's a spot not much further ahead if you want to try there ?" Emory held up the tattoo'ed Yes.

Emory Knelt beside him curios what he had in store. He picked up on her curios expression and smiled. "Its an incense.." He said opening the container. A powerful, almost over whelming odar escape. ► There was no point to recalling her pokemon just yet it had just gotten started and so far ladyba was more then capable of dealing with the on coming foe's it faced. Defeating each with a single tackle. It couldn't keep this up indefinitely however because by the time one wild pokemon fled back defeated another was coming to take its place. Ladyba took the third pokemon down without any trouble just like it had with the first two but it was starting to show signs of fatigue. Emory did however consider letting another pokemon take the next one on. Ladyba would get to tired before long and need to rest anyway. Best not to over work her pokemon because that sent a bad message to them and they'ed come to resent her for things like that.
