Our IT team apparently decided last night was a great time to start doing their transfer process between file sharing programs. Very inconvenient when they decided to delete the files I'm assuming they've transferred over... but we don't have access to the new system yet. So... this morning I was having to track down copies of the general versions of files we use, so I could even do anything. Ugh. stressed

Thursday was our usual shopping day. I didn't plan on buying anything... but then I discovered the bargain book bin and my eye was captured by some books that sounded interesting. Ended up coming home with six new books. xd sweatdrop

Once I'm done reading the ACOTAR books, I'm definitely going to go back to working on my pile of TBR books. Between the new books I purchased and the bag of books my Mom recently gave me, my pile is trying to encroach into the walking areas again. *sighs*

A resident is being problematic lately and she has decided I'm apparently Enemy #1. She is always talking rudely to me and completely disregards me when I tell her I am busy working and don't have time to talk. There's only a certain amount of dealing with such negativity before it starts affecting a person.

Now I'm just trying to decide whether I want to go for a walk during my lunch break (just to get out of the building) or just stick with my original plans of having lunch here.

Decided to change my avi to have a Bridgerton look since I've been reading the book(s) and re-watching the original two seasons before starting the new one.

Dearest Reader, it would appear the new season has not only brought on a new display of young beautiful gems but the return of a young lady from living with family in the Scottish Highlands. This author, however, questions how this lady in question - Miss ______ - will be able to adjust to London's high society after spending so much of her time in the countryside. Not to mention, the chances of her capturing the attention of any of the ton's eligible gentlemen when she is at the edge of eligibility herself.

"Mamma," cried Lydia, "my aunt says that Colonel Forster and Captain Carter do not go so often to Miss Watson's as they did when they first came; she sees them now very often standing in Clarke's library." - Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen She let out a breath of air when she finally couldn't stand sitting around waiting for a gentleman to call when they clearly weren't coming. A quick glance at the clock on the mantelpiece let her know it was already several hours since she first established herself in the room. Walking over to the window, she saw clouds slowly rolling past, playing leapfrog across the sun. "My dear, you mustn't fret so much," said _____, lowering her embroidery to glance over at her. "I'm sure they will come. With being members of the military, I'm sure they are just being responsible and taking care of matters required of their position." "At one point will you stop deluding yourself with such thoughts," she replied, sending a stern look at her companion. "You know as well that the Colonel and Captain have only visited once this past week. That is a considerable difference from their multiple calls here and requests for a dance at the balls we've attended prior to that. It hasn't escaped the notice of the rest of ton. Even Lady Whistledown has taken notice of it!" "Lady Whistledown is nothing but a gossip with nothing better to do than harp on the mishaps of the ton," retorted _______. "You should at least commend the Lady for hinting at faults of the gentlemen rather than making me look like a failure. I still at least have a chance of capturing the eye of someone in her eyes, despite this turn of events."
