-----The giant moved away, towards what he remembered to be called a "wrestling circle", though he'd never seen one like this. At home, such things were large, and were often a melee. Here there were no weapons, and part of him liked this. A match with rules that pitted brute strength against brute strength, the winner being the smartest and the strongest. Here is where he would train the style he saw in the scrolls earlier, the one known as Olympia. Stepping into the middle of the ring, Wanryoku adjusted his feet and set his center of weight lower, allowing himself a sturdier stance. Technique Learning → Hades Stance → Simple E - Ranked :: Complete
-----Setting his feet wider apart, Wanryoku dropped into another stance. This time, his weight was focused in the same location, but his body stood taller. In this stance, he could powerhouse someone into the ground. Technique Learning → Olympian Stance → Simple E - Ranked :: Complete
-----The next stance required him to throw upwards. And come back downwards? Confusing, but Wanryoku did it. He practiced heaving upwards, only to bring back down again. Perhaps, if nothing else, it would confuse the opponent. Technique Learning → Mortal Transition → Simple E/B - Ranked :: Complete
-----This one took more time. It required that he personally practice grip, which honestly made little sense to him. Wielding Zangai required a grip that few he'd met could bear, so this was easy. Flexing his hands, he readied himself. [E] Reaching forward, Wanryoku grabbed up one of the rocks nearby. It was large, closer to a boulder to most but nothing to him. Still, it was heavy, and he turned it upside down in his hands, clenching at the last second to hold it in place. [D] Still, that wasn't enough. Taking a deep breath, Wanryoku turned around and lunged out with the boulder as if to swing with it, to throw it. Instead, he held it in his grasp, letting the pull of gravity challenge him. [C] This was simple, but not enough. Throwing the boulder into the air, the giant lunged after it. Leaping into the air he caught it in his hands, only to come back down with it and somehow arresting its flight. . Considering what to try next, Wanryoku turned and ran for a tree. The closes tree was thick, likely oak, and would support quite a bit of weight. Leaping forward once more he wrapped around the tree, using his arms to grapple and swinging his legs upwards to hold. [A] The next one was the worst, and required something more. Dropping to the ground, Wanryoku made his way over to the base of the tree, and wrapped his arms around it. Only, instead of leaving it at that, the giant slid his left arm down further, and used his right leg to wrap around it to. WIth the other, he anchored himself in place, and heaved. The tree came out of the ground with a groan, though only just, for Wan shoved it back down to make amends. [S Complete]. Technique Learning → Titan’s Grip → Simple E/S - Ranked :: Complete
-----Utilizing a fallen tree limb he found nearby, large enough to pose a challenge, Wanryoku dropped to the ground and position his arms where he needed them. Weight was everything in this stance as far as he could tell, in this lock. And squeezing, he imagined he was squeezing the life from Haituro's form. Technique Learning → Position of Fates → Simple D/A - Ranked :: Complete
-----Spinning out of the grip, Wanryoku placed his hands on both sides of the tree, pretending it was shoulders. Leaning downwards he shoved his entire chest against the tree, pinning it in place. Even now, he pretended he was hearing gasps of air. Technique Learning → Dominating Hercules → Simple D/A - Ranked :: Complete
-----Standing up, Wanryoku considered the hilarity of what he was about to do. Often he'd considered making a fighting style utilizing his posterior for battle. So, without further ado, he lowered himself into a squat and sat on the tree limb, and anchored himself in place. Technique Learning → Mount Olympus → Simple D/A - Ranked :: Complete
-----The concept of switching between positions was a simple one, but complex. In truth, it was a matter of doing it smoothely. In this position, he was able to wrap an arm around the limb's "neck" and switchig his legging to transition into Position of Fates with ease. Technique Learning → Hero's Transition → Simple D/S - Ranked :: Complete
-----Grabbing the limb in a meaty grip, Wanryoku rose to his feet and heaved the thing above his head. Turning, he pushed the branch downwards, in what was called "Lifting Hercules". This attack, hilariously, would end in a pin that would embarrass whomever was involved. Technique Learning → Act of Hercules → Simple D/B - Ranked :: Complete
-----The next technique, Fall to Tartarus, was interesting, and could prove useful in many different situations. But it required standing up first, which was getting difficult after so many pushes and heaves on imaginary foes. This is why the next one was a bit slower, more practiced, as he swung a leg out, tripping an imaginary foe, and wrapping himself around him. Of course, in real life, this made him look like he was being a worm. Technique Learning → Fall to Tartarus → Simple C - Ranked :: Complete
-----This wrapping was preparation for the Nemian Grip. Wrapping his arm around where the neck would be, Wanryoku flexed his muscles into what would be considered a head lock. A choke hold that would knock out most people in a matter of moments. Technique Learning → Nemian Grip → Simple C/A - Ranked :: Complete
-----The next attack was similar in aspect to several techniques in Iwagakure no Taijutsu. This one required he lift his arm, which he did, and harden it in preparation for the attack. With a strike that would shatter bone he swung, his arm nothing short of a battering ram or, as the technique named it, Ajak's Club. Technique Learning → Ajak's Club → Simple C/A - Ranked :: Complete
-----Having pulverized the person he was "grappling", the giant barbarian let loose with his blows. Turning so he was facing down, Wanryoku began wailing downwards as if with a hammer. He knew that should he actually hit someone, it would be breaking ribs and crushing kidneys. Technique Learning → Hephaestus's Hammer → Simple C - Ranked :: Complete
-----This was one of the more powerful of the locks he had to learn. Extending his legs forward, Wanryoku wrapped them around the tree branch and hauled on it with his arms, utilizing his whole body in the heaving while he legs pulled down. In short, the branch began to creak from even the extremely small amount of force the giant applied. Technique Learning → Cutting the Hydra Head → Simple B/S - Ranked :: Complete
-----Stepping out of the technique, Wanryoku went next for another boulder. Taking this into his hands, Wanryoku performed the Perseus Suplex as he had read. And doing so brought the damned thing down hard enough to crack. Technique Learning → Perseus Suplex → Simple B - Ranked :: Complete
-----This one required no aid. It was a matter of position, and that he had down pat. Twisting his legs was difficult without an actual creature within it, but it worked for the moment. Unfortunately, it also clasped his genitals a bit too tightly, and he muffled a groan. Technique Learning → Bow of Odysseus → Simple B/S - Ranked :: Complete
-----This one involved him spinning around and grabbing thin air. Pivoting caused his knee to nearly buckle, but he brought "it" around anyway, slamming it to the ground. Of course, it made him look stupid, but it was quick and easy. Technique Learning → Agamemnon's Wrath → Simple B - Ranked :: Complete
-----This technique was harder, and required more strength and rigidity. Bringing his arm forward, Wanryoku moved his back closer to the aforementioned tree. With a heave he smashed his elbow backwards into the tree. Technique Learning → Hector's Sword → Simple A - Ranked :: (1/2) :: Incomplete

-----With a cry the giant leaped upwards and sideways, bringing the limb down on its end. If it had been a real boy, it would have had its face caved in. Technique Learning → Hoist of Icarus → Simple A - Ranked :: (2/2) :: Complete
-----The next one...was difficult to train with. As with much of this style training by himself was proving to be difficult, and challenging. Still, it had to be one. Going back to the tree, the poor, poor tree, Wanryoku decided to grab it around one limb, and bow his head in thanks. Taking a deep breath, he readied himself. Technique Learning → Hypnosis Dream → Simple A - Ranked :: (1/2) :: Incomplete
-----Using his forearms, Wanryoku pressed his weight against the one limb, working his body back and forth. He imagined it was Haituro, the betrayer, the source of his rag. With a crack the entire branch snapped off, falling to the ground in splinters. Technique Learning → Hypnosis Dream → Simple A - Ranked :: (2/2) :: Complete
-----What was it with Olympia requiring people to smash around to learn things? In this case, there was a requirement, so...he did the only thing he could. -----Somehow, the army of dolls was spawning more! They were everywhere! But it was timely, that was for certain! Moving to the first doll, Wanryoku stared it down hard, imagining it wetting itself. Grabbing it, he placed the thing's "neck" on his shoulder, and grabbed its head. Technique Learning → Theseus Cut → Simple A - Ranked :: (1/3) :: Incomplete
-----At first he merely tugged on it, expecting the neck to snap. But...it wouldn't be that easy. So instead of that, he stared at the ground, and readied himself again. Technique Learning → Theseus Cut → Simple A - Ranked :: (2/3) :: Incomplete
-----Turning about, the giant grabbed the head and leaned forward just a bit as he brought the head downwards. WIth a resounding scream the metal of the pole gave way, snapping in twin. -----This part...he needed someone else for. Or rather, something else. Before him lay a stretch of large objects, each fit for the leaning of the Pegasus Strike, but all larger than he would normally lift. And so, he considered this to be a good time to learn the Divine Blood as well as the Pegasus Strike. ----- The concentration hurt at first, pulling in a large amount of stamina just to give himself more strength. But then, did it really matter? And that was why he pushed forward, wrapping his arms around the tree he could reach. • Technique Learning → Pegasus Spike → Simple A - Ranked :: (2/3) :: Incomplete • Technique Learning → Divine Blood → Simple A - Ranked :: (2/3) :: Incomplete
----- Taking a deep breath, Wanryoku let the power surge within him, the Stamina bulking him up, going through his entire body, his veins. He felt alive, felt the teachings burst into fruition within him. With a roar that likely startled the nearby ANBU who stood waiting with his letter, Wanryoku tore the entire tree, something going on twenty or thirty feet tall, out of the ground. Tore it out by the roots, and through it behind him to land in a heap several yards away. • Technique Learning → Pegasus Spike → Simple A - Ranked :: (3/3) :: Complete • Technique Learning → Divine Blood → Simple A - Ranked :: (3/3) :: Complete
-----Taking deep breaths, Wanryoku stared across the wreck of a training field. What he had done had been monstrous, even for him. He had learned a style that was brutal, effective, but terrifying in its capacity to kill. Technique Learning → Gift of the Gods → Simple A - Ranked :: (1/3) :: Incomplete
-----The style was designed to use everything, his entire body, to overcome and cripple, or kill, his opponent. Fundamentally, he knew it was useful, good, and an asset to his repertoire. But that wasn't the issue, unfortunately. To Wanryoku, this only justified what Samuru had said earlier. Technique Learning → Gift of the Gods → Simple A - Ranked :: (2/3) :: Incomplete
-----Looking down at his hands, worn and covered thickly in calluses he's earned over nearly two decades of constant struggle and conflict, or training and war, it was difficult to see himself as anything but. And yet he'd met people who saw life as more than just violence as an answer, and because of that he had been betrayed. Perhaps it was time to consider there was more to life than violence. That was what he felt he'd learned, struggling today in the dirt, feeling the pain of every action. And somehow, this realization made the aches and pains seem that much less important. Technique Learning → Gift of the Gods → Simple A - Ranked :: (3/3) :: Complete
-----Looking back towards where the ANBU waited, the giant moved towards him with a hand upraised. The shock and awe from the shinobi was evident, and so Wanryoku simply took the scroll from his hands. Looking down at it proved an issue, as he could barely read, but he got the gist. Once, it would have raised a smile. Now it merely made him grunt, and hope for a future after the blood price. Keeping that in mind, Wanryoku headed for the gates, hoping to get this very thing over with.

Miyuki blinked hwen the woman came over and started talking to her. She blushed slightly, though it was very noticeable on her pale white skin, and looked down at her feet, "AH, um, sorry, I've just never seen anyone who looked like you. You're pretty." Miyuki said almost shyly as she looked back up. What was she doing? She was the princess of the Hattori clan, she shouldn't be acting shy. She met the cat-woman's eyes and gave her a polite smile, though that smile faltered when the jounin drug her off to the office to meet with the Raikage.

-----ι didn't have a lot of time to train; none of my shinobi had really been around, and I wanted to do what I could to help make up for what happened in Takumi. But first I wanted, no needed to get some training done. It was entirely possible this would be the only opportunity I got for a while.
Santoryu Stage Three
-----First thing first, I wanted to get further with Santoryu, which meant learning the two sword style of Nitoryu. Making my way into the dojo, I retrieved the scroll for the style before returning to my usual training location outside. The instructions weren't particularly useful, seeing as how they contradicted themselves. It was required to learn the numbered sword style before learning the techniques, but it said I had to 'master the basics' before I could move on... Weren't the basics the techniques?[1/2] -----Drawing both of my blades, the elemental one sparking to life at contact with my chakra, I held both out in front of me. Basics... I was pretty sure I could already do 'basics'. So to cover what I needed to learn, I decided to run through the stage two techniques of the style with two blades instead of one. The first, I pumped chakra into both blades and leapt forward, bringing both down to strike an invisible enemy. I moved both blades over my shoulder and swept down horizontally, releasing two small spirals of chakra that dissipated after a few feet. [2/2 Nitoryu - B::Complex LEARNED] -----I frowned at the first of the techniques on the list following Nitoryu. The user placed their swords like horns against their forehead and spun. Not only did that sound dangerous, I couldn't see what it had to do with a 'rhino' like the name suggested. Rhinos didn't have two horns on their foreheads. Whatever. Envisioning my enemy several meters away, I charged forward, placing both sword pommels against my head, and as was asked in the technique, spun, drilling through my invisible opponent. [1/1 Sai Kuru - C::Simple LEARNED] -----Next was literally just a stance that set up for the rest of the stage three techniques. Despite the name 'Double Slash', there was no slashing involved. Straightening out from my last attack, I rolled my shoulders to get any tension out of them, and held the blades in front of me, both tips pointed to the right, since left was my dominant and my right side typically my open side. The stance would allow me to both better defend myself and prepare any number of attacks against an opponent. [1/1 Nigiri - C::Simple LEARNED] -----The next technique involved sending projectiles upward at an opponent--something I noted would work great on Wan since he was twice my height--along with a jump in the same direction. Pretty simple, but not particularly useful if the enemy isn't above you. Pushing chakra into my weapons, I pushed off of the ground and released it into two chakra projectiles that soared high into the air before dissipating. Making a judgment of about how high it went, I would probably be able to find something to use it on. [1/1 Tourou - C::Complex LEARNED] -----After that was the complete opposite, and I performed it on the descent from my jump. Swinging my blades downward, I sent out two more projectiles that, upon impact with the ground, left two deep scars on the ground. It also had a pillowing effect that softened my fall, letting me land easily. This was the more useful of the two in my opinion, since with how I fought jumping was used a lot. Higher ground and using your weight behind your attacks was almost always advantageous. [1/1 Outourou - C:Complex LEARNED] -----The third of the Nigiri stance techniques was also one I could envision using often...if I didn't have three or four other similar attacks. This one was just like the other two, but sent the projectiles straight forward instead of up or down, which was the most useful as far as I was concerned. For the most part, my enemy would be facing me. I spread my legs shoulder width apart to brace myself, and swung the blades right to left, releasing the chakra gathered in them. Just like before, the projectiles traveled a ways before dissipating. [1/1 Hirameki - C::Complex LEARNED]
Santoryu Stage Four
-----Why this fourth technique was separated from the other three as far as stage was beyond me, and why it was considered its own technique was as well. As far as I was concerned it was the same as the other three, just with a diagonally moving attack rather than forward, up, or down. But it was a technique I needed to learn nonetheless. The uses for a diagonal attack... I could see, I supposed, but it seemed like an unlikely use. [1/2] -----I resumed the previous stance, the Nigiri, with my blades held out to the right, and considered the best way to go about it. It was just a diagonal slash that released two projectiles, but if I wasn't careful, I could take off my own foot with them. Maybe that was why it was a higher difficulty. So I decided to utilize a spin. Bringing the swords to my right shoulder, I swung them toward my left hip, turning out of the way of the attack as I did so. The projectiles released scored marks in the ground for a couple of feet before they stopped. That was oddly satisfying. [2/2 Samon - B::Complex LEARNED] -----I was happy to move on from the repetitive attacks, to find that the next one didn't even require two swords. In fact the whole premise of it was both astounding and strange. The user drew and resheathed their weapon so fast that it created enough force to break a boulder in two. I was more afraid of breaking my hand moving that fast. But I did as it instructed nonetheless and returned both of my weapons to their scabbards. Grasping the hilt, I faced one of the nearby boulders, and drew and sheathed it as fast as I could. A pressure wave, it looked like, hit the boulder, breaking it cleanly in half. [1/1 Nitou-Ryuu Iai: Rashoumon - B::Simple LEARNED] -----The whole 'releasing a wave of chakra' thing was getting old. The last of the stage four techniques was the same as one of the earlier techniques I had learned, but with two swords. Literally, that was the only difference. And yet I had to study it again anyway. Just like the first time, the user held their swords over their shoulders then, after gathering chakra in the blades, swung straight down, releasing the chakra in two waves. Simple enough. [1/2] -----Dropping the scroll, I unsheathed both swords again, twirling each in turn in my grip before holding them normally again. I pumped chakra into them, like most of the complex techniques required, and raised both of them over my shoulders, parallel to one another. Then, releasing the tension of the chakra, I swung straight down in front of me. Two pulses shot forward something like fifteen or so feet before dissipating, but they left nice sized scores in the ground in their wake. [2/2 Nana-Juu-Ni Pound Hou - B::Complex LEARNED]

Hanna walked into the academy and went straight to her bloodline training. She would ignore those in the academy so as not to disturb them or draw attention to herself. First creating the crystal itself.[1/11] She had done it a million times so it wasn't like it wasn't second nature. She gathered the things around her and began to crystallize them. There was a butterfly over there, maybe she could work her way to it. [2/11] She took a deep breath and let her crystal crawl toward the butterfly. She tapped the crystal close to her and it shattered.[3/11] She growled and started over again. It was a good thing the butterfly hadn't moved or she would have been fairly mad. It inched closer and closer to the bright creature and the smile on her face grew.[4/11] She didn't know why she enjoyed crystallizing things. Maybe it was to preserve their beauty? She did that with her mother. The b***h had deserved what she got.[5/11] Why had they treated her like that? Why hadn't they treated her as their daughter? Hanna tapped her forehead repeatedly, why, why, why?[6/11] She shook her head then noticed her crystals had stopped. She grumbled and worked at them again. They reached the butterfly finally but only got one wing. [7/11] It started to freak and ended up ripping the wing off. Hanna grumbled again and sighed, why did the creatures have to ruin things? She brought the crystal back and worked on its structure. [8/11] She wanted more things for her collection, but she couldn't get them if her crystals weren't strong enough. She had her mother's heart, she smiled at that. At least she still had that, at least she had a piece of her that she had never willingly given.[9/11] She saw the inner workings and watched the structure build. Strong yet versatile. She could do this.[10/11] She tapped the crystal and it cracked. She then watched the crack and worked to seal it. Her smile grew to almost cat-like as the crack slowly but surely sealed up.[11/11] She tapped it again and it didn't even move. Yay She said clapping her hands.
Hanna looked around until she found a bug crawling around on the ground. She used her crystal and created a dome around it as it hit the edges trying to find a way out. It started to crawl all around it but there was no escape for it. [Crimson Fruit: Learned] She then held out her hand and directed her crystal into a multitude of intricate designs. She then made another in her hand and watched as they came together. Beauty in death.[1/2] That's what her father had said. She was a beautiful death for anyone that met her and crossed her family. She threw the shuriken at the dome and watched them do nothing but pierce it. [2/2]{Hexagonal Shuriken Learned} Hanna then went to the same thing just bigger. She held out her hands and made a work of art. A spike here a line there.[1/2] A clear and shiny pink. Her hair was shiny and pink and she loved it. She just didn't want it to be clear. She then just giggled and looked at the large snowflake then threw it at the wall. It embedded itself and she smiled again.[2/2]{Giant Hexagonal Shuriken Learned} Another snowflake. What was with her bloodline and snowflakes? She giggled and shook her head.[1/2] She created a bigger snowflake and this time it was reflective. A mirror in which she could create so many things. She smiled and looked at herself in it before making it invisible.[2/2]{Jade Crystal Mirror Learned} Hanna held out her arms and though that they needed a bit of decoration. They were so bare and normal, well besides the fact that she was a bit brown.[1/2] She concentrated and first made a bracelet then pushed it upwards on each arm and attached it to her forearm. She then took the dull part of it and thought of it as a sharp edge. Two blades for each arm, oh these would be fun.[2/2]{ Jade Crystal Blade Learned} Hanna sat on the ground and crossed her legs then concentrated on the water particles around her. She covered them in her crystal then elongated them, sharpened them. Gave them a deadly edge. [1/2] She enjoyed creating things from her crystal and allowing them to become the weapons they were. She touched one of the forming crystals and smiled. This technique was one of her favorites, the crystals could be pink or white. Colors that peaked her interest. The pinkish red of her crystals reminded of her of blood. The white for the purity that could so easily be tainted by those with blackened hearts. She used a handsign and the needles shot off for the dummy she had had in her sights. A perfect straight line from the top of the head down.[2/2]{Crystal Needles Learned}

While Hanna busied herself with her training, there was a crash from outside the room, like someone running into something. A moment later, one of the instructors of the academy staggered by the door, grasping at his neck like he was choking, his face steadily turning blue. He collapsed and lay unmoving, not even the chest rising and falling. Buy all means, the man had choked to death. Were the girl to check his vitals, she would find his heart slowing to a stop, the light of his eyes fading away.

The clone appeared outside the academy with a smile, for some reason this particular clone was a happier than the original Myurai was. Though even "Happy's" smile faded when he heard the sounds of struggle. Drawing its long slender katana from its hilt the clone made its way into the academy. Seeing the man on his back the clone knelt next to the clone and checked his pulse. He was gone, the clone dragged his fingers over the mans eyes and whispered a few words. Rising to his feet he snapped his fingers and a full team of anbu appeared,"Secure the academy. Nobody in, nobody out. Regardless of who they are. Two of you gather everyone in the academy and bring them here." As the two anbu went about their task of gathering those in the academy the clone of myurai shrugged off its crimson cloak and laid it over the body of the man.

Hanna watched the man fall and ran to him. She paid no attention to the shinobi and opened the mans mouth making sure to keep her fingers away from his teeth. She looked for what was obstructing his air way then turned his head to the side so he wouldn't choke on his own vomit. If she could get him back to breathing that was. She kept herself emotionless as she began compressions on his lower abdomen right under his diaphragm. Death was a common thing after all, but maybe she could save this one. Maybe. LIVE, man LIVE! I don't know you but LIVE!
Despite Hanna's efforts, the man did not stir. If he had choked on anything it must have been lodged further down out of reach, but there did not seem to be any external evidence of poisoning.
The ANBU would only find other instructors and academy students, aside from Hanna and Myurai himself. To someone experienced, anyone could be a culprit, were this a murder, but given how clueless most seemed as to why they were being gathered, it seemed unlikely. Perhaps a medic would be able to tell more.

Turning to his anbu he nodded,"You know the drill gather what information you can if there is any to gather and meet me back at the base." With that the clone dissipated watching hana run off.

[✠]Entering the academy with his bag and a bucket with a chain in it, Samuru gave the dead body a casual glance Still here. Didn't even bother to cover it with a sheet or something for decencies sake. he rolled his eyes and walked off, leaving the body behind as he found a private room to practice his techniques on. The event in the caverns had proven that he could no longer ignore what his body was actually made to do. He may have forced it into the physical requirements that were demanding for a blacksmith but it didn't come without cost. And that cost was nearly too high. So....back to the original. Closing the private room entrance, Samuru dropped everything on the floor and dug through the bag, removing the scrolls he'd taken...gods, longer than he remembered. Taking a seat, he began to read.................................. (Feel Free to quote me, I will interact with anyone if they want.) [Genjutsu Training Posts]

While under the effects of this Jutsu, the victim's range of vision will be reduced from roughly 180 to 60 degrees; essentially causing them to see only what is directly in front of their eyes. Due to this, the afflicted will find themselves unable to register attacks coming from either flank, and will in turn also find targeting foes for attack more difficult than normal. Guild Description: See official description. - -Using the ‘volunteer’ Samuru had dragged in from outside, he set him up in a corner to gather his strength and start the jutsu. Lifting his head, he caught the man’s eyes and used a handsign, out of sight, to set the genjutsu. It had been several years, possibly never, since he’d used genjutsu so the technique didn’t come easily. At first, the man just shook his head, indicating nothing had changed. Growling under his breath, Samuru performed the hand sign again. This time, there was a noticeable difference in the man who stood a little more uneasy. His sight had gone out from the sides of vision, all dark on the peripheral. When Samuru took a step to the right, the man jumped and quickly turned Success.
-Magen: Jigoku Kōka no Jutsu [ Demonic Illusion: Descending Hell Technique ] Rank: E — Sight Official Description: Demonic Illusion: Jigoku Gouka no Jutsu is a Genjutsu technique that causes its target to see a vision of fire. After Yoroi forms the needed hand seals, a huge ball of fire will descend from the sky to envelope his target. The victims of the Genjutsu will believe they are being engulfed by a torrent of fire and flee their location for safety. Guild Description: See official description. Effects include the feeling of intense heat bearing down upon them. - -This one would be a little harder as there wasn’t any real sky above them but a ceiling on fire could be just as terrifying. With that reasoning, Samuru stepped back and threw the handsign out, like he’d flicked a match at the ceiling. The man followed his motion and his eyes widened as the ceiling became filled with fire. The heat beat down on him, his body beginning to sweat as he tried to back into a corner to escape the flames. But the fire’s intense heat, while not affecting Samuru, began to make him gasp and strangle for air until Samuru broke the genjutsu Effective. I know someone who wouldn’t like this at all. he thought, his lips slimming as he let the volunteer catch his breath.
Rank D 0/0 Posts Henka no Kumoyuki [ Change of Weather ] Rank: D — Sight Official Description: The user can change the weather to anything they prefer for the target to suffer through. Guild Description: See official description. This is a small genjutsu, and is limited to minor changes to the environment. Retraining this jutsu to higher levels takes up more genjutsu slots, 1 slot per retraining, due to its wide ranging abilities. The maximum, S+ranked, is 5 retrainings, to which this jutsu will take an additional 5 genjutsu slots. Base Duration: -- - -For this one, Samuru would merely try to alter the sky from cloudy to brilliantly shiny. It wasn’t huge but it would work for the moment. Using a few hand signs, he caused the sky to appear to brighten, the sudden burst of sunlight causing his test dummy to cringe away. The light was bright enough to cause a sunburn but Samuru cancelled it with relative ease.
Magen: Kokuni Arazu no Jutsu [ Demonic Illusion: False Surrounding Technique ] Rank: D — Sight Official Description: A Genjutsu technique that makes the victim believe that he/she is in a totally different surrounding than they really are. The user creates a whole new surrounding that the opponent ends up seeing, instead of the old one, giving the user the advantage as only they would be aware of the exact lay of the land. However, note that people, pets, puppets, weaponry, the user, and the target are not part of the surroundings. These things stay where they are. Guild Description: See official description. This jutsu produces the feeling that the land is not as it should be, before changing to one in which the target feels that it should be.. - - since they were in an empty room, it worked fairly well for this genjutsu, and Samuru intended to take full advantage of this. Standing a bit away, he brought his memories of the burning remains of the gates with a deadly fog and dead bodies. The man screamed and jumped back, slamming into the wall that was actually there, causing the genjutsu to break. But it had served its purposes.
Mimiuchi no Jutsu [ Whisper Technique ] Rank: D — Sound Official Description: The user can create a sound or a word (not a full sentence) and direct it to the target, so only the target can hear it, inside his mind, while thinking the sound comes from right next to him. Guild Description: See official description. Is good for teammate communication within combat, but can also have offensive uses. Base Duration: -- - - Tilting his head, Samuru thought what word would work best for his slowly deteriorating test dummy. While Samurue wasn’t concerned, the man was starting to twitch from continued abuse. Finding a good word, he used a single sign and sent the word into the man’s head “Cat?” the man said, confused and Samuru chuckled.
Dokuji no Onsei [ Voice of the Peculiar ] Rank: D — Sound Official Description: This is a wonderful technique, comparable to the Chouba no Kage. A verbal aid, it manipulates a person’s voice and makes them seem either more or less imposing. When coupled before or after the Chouba no Kage, it can make the user seem possessed: changing both their voice and their shadow to those more intimidating. By itself, it can be used as a very noteworthy distraction and can also deter opponents from engaging the user right away. Skilled Shinobi can make their voice sound like that of other people they have encountered rather than just changing pitch and tone. Guild Description: See official description. Base Duration: -- - - Seeing this as a curiously intriguing form of manipulation, Samuru easily cast this similarly to the one he’d just used. Instead though, he began talking to the man, who appeared to look ready to say no, and the tone of Samuru’s voice affected him. Before, the man had appeared belligerent. Now, however, the affected tone of voice was making the man appear more like he wanted to help. Samuru was, after all, pretty damn nasty to deal with to begin with. This appeared to be causing the man to see him as less imposing. Something that would come in hand, Samuru realized, as the man agreed to help him through the next rank of genjutsu as well.
Rank C 0/0 Posts Fukyuu no Jutsu [ Immortality Technique ] Rank: C — Sight Official Description: This simple skill make it so no matter how much the opponent damages the user, the user will not show any sign of injury. It will hide limping or any other sign that something is wrong, even the smell and sound of blood dripping. The Genjutsu will only affect those who were in the intermediate area when the Genjutsu was used, those who the user wishes and those who are just arriving are not affected. The Jutsu is initiated via a bit of theatrics: The user forms a few hand seals and gathers electricity in his or her hand. However, this electricity is actually illusionary. Then, the user presses this hand into his or her chest and the electricity wraps around the user’s body and seems to dissipate into it. Finally, the user claims to have performed a rapid regeneration jutsu that will heal his body as he fights. With that, the Genjutsu is fully cast. Guild Description: See official description. - - Tapping his lip as he read the explanation for the genjutsu, Samuru slowly began to nod to himself. This would be extremely useful, he realized, and after a moment, he asked the man to slice his upper arm. Extending the arm, Samuru didn’t flinch as the blade gave him a slight nick, the blood starting to swell. Extending his hand, he formed a ball of electricity, or so it appeared, and then pressed it into his chest. The cut, still stinging, appeared to vanish and the man stepped back warily as Samuru grinned with his apparent invincibility.
Kukan Hyouketsu no Jutsu [ Body Freeze Technique ] Rank: C — Touch Official Description: This Genjutsu, like the Immortality Technique, starts with the user gathering a small amount of illusionary electricity in their hands, but then must physically contact the target in order to fully initiate the Genjutsu. When the user hits the target, the electricity seems to discharge and the user tells the target that he has reduced the target’s metabolism, reducing the amount of body heat that will be generated. Soon after, the target begins to feel very cold, and afterward they will start to get the symptoms of hypothermia: shivering, slurred speech, loss of coordination and sluggish movements. Guild Description: See official description. - - Without hesitation, a second ball of electricity gathered in his grip and he lunged, slamming the ball into the man’s chest. The man jumped and cursed, flapping his hands “Feeling cold?” Samuru drawled, speaking to the man who stopped, staring at him for a few minutes “What-” “I’ve slowed your functions.” the man swallowed, starting to feel his fingers go numb, feeling a chill grow in his extremities. It began to spread and he started to tremble and try to warm up, his speech starting to slur. Before real damage could happen, though, Samuru ended it, indicating the man should take a break.
Doro no Gekiryuu [ Raging Rapids of Mud ] Rank: C - Touch Official Description: Similar to Jisuberi no Jutsu, the user can cause the opponent to see, hear, and feel a huge river of mud come crashing forward at a high velocity. This confuses, distracts, and, if the “river” hits the opponent, cause the body to believe it is drowning and being hit by mud from all sides. Guild Description: See official description. Can only be placed within an environment as a seal, & activates when anyone nears it - -They stepped outside for a few minutes so Samuru could enact this genjutsu with at least a small bit of realism. Focusing on a particular area, Samuru used a pointing motion to set the genjutsu and his test dummy began to feel a dangerous tremble in the ground rising up through his feet. Turning, to where Samuru had pointed, he widened his eyes at the sight of a massive rush of mud coming at him. Stumbling back and knocking into Samuru, the man disrupted the casting and the river vanished. Reasoning that he’d do better next time, Samuru waved off the apology.
Aitou no Hibiki [ Echo of Lament ] Rank: C — Any Official Description: A technique fashioned for defense, this one takes a rather different approach. It is, in fact, fashioned for reversal and is quite dangerous in effect. Preparing the Jutsu ahead of an opponent's attack, it is passive until activated with precise Chakra control. Through any of the senses, the Genjutsu is passed on and it quickly alters the image an opponent sees. What appears to the opponent is a direct hit on their target. Whether it be as simple as a Kunai plunging into their thigh or a Genjutsu immobilizing them with fear, an opponent will see this outcome played out as exactly as if it would have really happened. Yet, it is the ability of this technique to make one think that and thus leave a very critical opening in any person’s defense. Guild Description: See official description. Base Duration: Instance. This jutsu is stackable with more instance genjutsus. - - “Throw this at me.” Samuru ordered, holding out a kunai as he set the genjutsu on his test dummy. When the man took the kunai, he didn’t move, despite being told to throw it. Tilting his head, Samuru repeated his order, wanting to see the confusion on his face “I did? Didn’t I?” looking at his hand, the man seemed surprised to find the kunai still in his hand. Smiling, Samuru took the kunai back and thanked him for a good throw, much to the man’s confusion.
Chousen no Hibiki [ Echo of Defiance ] Rank: C — Any Official Description: With this technique, the user wears down an opponent’s resistance to Genjutsu by attacking one of the five senses. Using an item of their choice, or even a set of items, they imbue their Chakra into them and use them to release specific reactions. The reactions are psychologically inhibited and occur in the span of a few seconds, activated by both sight and touch. An opponent merely imagines themselves going through one of these reactions in quick spurts: blurred vision, delayed motor reaction, dulled sense of hearing, and trouble breathing. When used over and over again, they wear an opponent down and make other Genjutsu more invasive. Guild Description: See official description. The next Genjutsu, up to C-rank, is increased in effects by 1 rank. - - Using the same kunai, Samuru flipped it casually in his hand, sending bursts of chakra into the kunai as he did so. With that done, he flipped the kunai to handle first, allowing the man to grab it. At first, he just imitated the flipping motion. Then handed it back. They repeated this until on the third hand off, the man fumbled and dropped the kunai on the third flip. Picking it up, Samuru asked him to repeat it and he managed to make it to two flips before dropping it. Again, the man took it up but this time he could barely hold onto the handle. Taking the kunai back, Samuru slid it into the holster.
Magen: Nijū Kokoni Arazu no Jutsu [ Demonic Illusion: Double False Surroundings Technique ] Rank: C — Sight Official Description: This Jutsu places another visual illusion on top of a previous illusion created by the user. If and when the target dispels the first illusion, they will not realize that a second is in place. The Chakra cost & duration is in conjunction with the Genjutsu being 'doubled', & begins after the first has been dispelled. Guild Description: See official description. This essentially makes 2 visual genjutsus into 1, with the second half of the genjutsu being immune to 1 overall dispel attempt. - - It would be easy to make this one hard but he decided to go with merely taking the wall behind him and putting it in front of him. His test dummy blinked at the sudden appearance of a wall and, recognizing that it was an illusion, dispelled it. Only to find that Samuru still appeared to have randomly left the room. Standing still and watching the man’s confusion, Samuru couldn’t help a chuckle that slipped out, further confusing the man.
Rank B 0/0 Posts Kyouboku Toukai no Jutsu [ Forest Destruction Technique ] Rank: B - Visual, Touch, or Sound Official Description: A Genjutsu that can only be used in forests. The opponent sees, hears, and feels trees falling all around them, threatening to crush them. They will try to move out of the way, making themselves open to attacks. They can even be hit by standing trees by accident, because they see them as falling and crashing, & not standing still as they are. Guild Description: See official description. Base Duration: -- - - Walking out of the academy again, Samuru and his training partner made their way over to the forests just outside the main area of the buildings. It wasn’t a huge or dense forest but it would serve the purpose Samuru had for it. Motioning his training partner to stand into the middle of the area, moving to get a position near the edge, Samuru set his jutsu as the man glanced at him. Slowly, the man began to experience the sound of trees falling and he jumped away as one fell near him. Watching from his position, Samuru started to walk around the man, keeping his steps light until he was right behind him. This would be very useful upon sneaking up on someone. Ending the jutsu with a tap to his shoulder, Samuru motioned for the man to come back into the academy with him.
Akumu Kage [ Nightmare Shadow ] Rank: B — Sight Official Description: This technique forces an opponent to believe the shadows around them act independent of the light cast in the particular setting. They shape and form various objects of likewise varying proportions. What is actually happening here is that the user is recreating scenes or things from their past which have caused them harm to some extent. It can range as being as complex and morbid was witnessing the birth and slaughter of a newborn, or even to something as trivial as clown-shaped figures surrounding the opponent from all sides. The shadows, of course, have no face or actual presence: They are merely shapes which hint at the aforementioned events. The user must remain unseen during this Jutsu, however, since he or she would blur and disturb the images which the shadows are creating in the opponent’s mind. Guild Description: See official description. - - Standing just outside the door, Samuru cast the genjutsu then just stood outside, listening to what was occurring inside. The man began to see small shapes moving along the edge of the room, little shadows that slid up and seemed to grow bigger. He hadn’t had any seriously harmful events of his life so the most terrifying was a massive dog-ish shape with lots of teeth that sent him falling back into the door. The shock surprised Samuru who ducked his head in, ending the genjutsu to see if the man was all right…A surprising reaction even for him.
Ataeru Kanjoo no Jutsu [ Inflict Emotion Technique ] Rank: B — Touch Official Description: This is a fairly high level Genjutsu where the Shinobi temporarily changes the emotions of the target to his/her liking. The emotions imparted can be anything from ecstasy, despair, overconfidence, grief, etc. One would be advised against using this technique on teammates, however. After the effect has passed, the victim would surely remember the one who used the technique, and almost always with hostility. Guild Description: See official description. - - This next one would be… hard. It wasn’t that Samuru didn’t mind inflicting these genjutsus but sharing his emotions was hard enough and he didn’t feel like this man was worthy of such an event. Despite that, he was the one he had to work with so using the hand signs appropriately, he sent a wave of emotion onto his test dummy. He wasn’t sure which one he’d sent until the man started to tremble and doubled over, trying to howl but unable to get the voice out. Quickly ending it, Samuru knelt to check on him and the man grabbed him “Is this why you rage?” Samuru froze and stared at the man who was sobbing quietly “Do you feel everything that strongly?” breaking away from the man, Samuru made a hissing sound and left him to collect himself.
Shi kara no Sasayaki [ Whispers from the Dead ] Rank: B — Sound Official Description: The effects of this sound based Jutsu makes those entrapped hear the voices of lost loved ones or family or friends they hadn't seen in a long to be saying awful things about them and their constant failures. As well bringing up dark secrets from their past to instill self-doubt in the one trapped. Guild Description: See official description. - - Again, this man hadn’t had an awful life so as Samuru began to talk, just getting the genjutsu started, the voices that soon overlaid his own weren’t really terrible. Bouncing around from a female voice to a male, both voices cursed him for being tardy to class every day and that was why he was a test dummy for some uppity little kid. Watching, Samuru yawned, remembering that he would, eventually, have to find a new job. With a simple dispelling of the genjutsu, he sat, deciding a break was in order.
Samui Sabaku [ Freezing Desert Night ] Rank: B — Sight Official Description: This Genjutsu affects the opponent’s eyesight by creating the illusion that it is night time. Everything will appear to be dark and shadowy, making it hard to see. It also makes it feel as though the temperature has dropped dramatically, just like it would at night in the desert. The longer this Jutsu lasts the colder the target will feel, potentially to such an extent that the target can die, though that rarely ever occurs. Guild Description: See official description. - -Reading this genjutsu while his partner rested, Samuru wondered if he could combine this one with the body freeze technique. Doing so would no doubt have the desire effect and he absently began to gather his chakra as the sparring partner began to rise, ready to go again. Standing as well, Samuru cast the genjutsu easily. As his partner started to look around, he began to notice that it was getting darker and colder. He reasoned that it wasn’t possible yet it continued to get colder and colder as he fought to see. The darkness was slightly terrifying and he began to tremble until Samuru ended the jutsu.
