Van yawned as he eventually woke up some time later, a tired smile on his face as he woke up, still cuddled up with Mala and their baby.

Mala was lightly asleep, likely to wake up soon. Anise, however, was wide awake. The baby couldn't see Van, considering how difficult it is for babies to see clearly so soon after birth, so currently she was gazing at her hands - gripping and ungripping them. For some reason, that left her giggling.

Van smiled lightly as he watched Anise giggle. "Good morning Anise." he said softly. He would have taken her into his own arms, but he didn't want to give Mala a panic attack by not waking up with the baby in her arms.

Anise continued playing with her hands for a few moments longer. She stopped, of course, moments before Mala woke up.
Mala looked about the room, smiling broadly when she noticed Anise in her arms and that Van was still by her side. "Good morning." she murmured softly.
