-]Cerbera let out a scream when the Machop started to attack, but once more Spirit had come to her rescue. The beautiful green Espeon was running to her rescue, expertly felling the Machop. Unfortunately, that seemed to only make the other pokemon surrounding them more angry. She knew this was a bad, dangerous situation, and the girl drew her blade from her belt, still firmly seated in its sheath. If worst came to worse, she could always use it to block a punch...maybe. She hoped she wouldn't have to find out. Sneaking a glance around for the others, she spied Lua on the other side of the circle of pokemon, seemingly unnoticed, and like a good girl she had gathered the others up to keep them safe. Cerbera nodded to the girl approvingly and then went back to back with her Espeon to cover it.[- -]Spirit couldn't help but smile with pride as the girl covered her back, finding the circumstance quite interesting. She had never been in such a high stakes situation, and the Espeon was getting quite the thrill. she told Berrie, not concerned in the slightest. She was ready when a small Tyrogue stepped up to take Machop's place, and almost instantly hit the ground, twitching from another dose of the Espeon's psychic powers.[-

-]As it turned out, Cerbera did indeed have to protect her Espeon's back from the circle of fighting pokemon, or rather she had to protect her own from. While Spirit was easily troubcing those that faced her so far, the part of the group in front of Berrie was not as honorable. They kept giving threatening growl, throwing a punch out here, a kick out there. The girl was managing to hold them off, but it was clearly starting to take it's toll on her. These were fighting pokemon, after all, and as such were quite strong. That meant that those hits she was blocking with her sheathed blade were needing both hands on the weapon to absorb the impact. She was just barely keeping up. Silently she cursed, because she was fully aware that her ability to withstand this was due to the hellish training her parents and older siblings had forced on her.[- -]For her part of the battle, Spirit was taking things quite easily. These opponents with their feeble minds and wimpy determination were no challenge compared to her mental powers. They couldn't even seem to get close enough to touch the confident Pokemon. Perhaps it was that she was simply superior, or perhaps it was their anger overtaking their senses and softening them up for the Espeon. She didn't even consider the second part, however. As the first Tyrogue hit the ground, it was followed closely by another one. From the way it was shouting, it must have been the first one's brother. No matter, Spirit still ruthlessly felled the second as well with the same, overwhelming psionic power.[-

-]Cerbera was starting to break a sweat, blocking the repettitive blows from the crown of angry pokemon. In one sense it was getting easier, because she was learning the pattern of how they were attacking. It was certainly getting easier to spot them. On the other hand, she was definitely running out of steam the longer this went on. Fortunately, her Espeon started circling around to face new foes, and so Cerbera moved with her to keep Spirit's back covered. "Ughn," she gasped as she stopped a particularly hard kick, her arms shaking a bit, "How are you holding up, Spirit?"[- -]With the Tyrogue brothers felled, there was an opening on Spirit's side of the circle. If they really wanted to, they could have tried to run for it, but Spirit didn't even suggest it. She knew Cerbera would never even entertain the idea of leaving the others behind. Not ever. So instead, while the wild pokemon spread out to fill in the hole, the Espeon circled around to choose another target. Better to get these weaker ones out of the way first, to thin the gang's ranks. She spotted a perfect target, a small Riolu, and her eyes glowed again, dropping the pokemon where it stood.[- -]During all of this, Lua had needed to bite her lip to stop herself from letting out a cry of alarm from the sheer brutality of it all. However, it seemed as though the girl that was taking care of her and that pretty green Espeon were handling it okay. Better that she take the brunt of the pain for her mistake. On the other hand, though, it sounded as though her pokemon was enjoying this a little too much, perhaps. Unfortunately, Cerbera didn't have enough time at the moment to worry about the situation. The words of encouragement from her Zorua were well-timed, helping to distract Berrie from her concerns and focusing her back on the fight at hand. She knew better than to call back to the sweet little ginger, as it would put the rest of her pokemon at risk too. Better that they stay unnoticed.[- -]Spirit, on the other hand, was having quite a time of this. There wasn't a concern in her mind at all other than Cerbera's safety. In that regard, the Espeon was taking out the opponents as quickly as she could. Did it hurt that the pokemon was enjoying it as well? Certainly not. She spotted a Timburr lifting it's log and getting ready to swing. she said menacingly, her eyes glowing. The Timburr dropped, the log landing on it with a loud thump.[-

Du stirred with a start as the sensations that had made her go into such a dramatic faint wore off and everything once more returned to the calm, normal atmosphere that she was used to. Du sat up and looked around to find herself once more in the real world with everyone huddled around and gathering their wits once more. Du sat up quietly and tried to shake the embarrassment of having fainted in the presences of the Death god of the Pokemon world. But really, what was a contestant like her going to do against a behemoth like that anyway? Du sat up but kept relatively quiet and allowed herself to collect her senses once again, she returned her pokemon to their pokeballs and then pushed herself up on shaky feet. The fear and adrenaline from the whole ordeal still hadn’t left her system and although she tried not to show it, it was fairly obvious that it still had its hold. When Zero mentioned that they should go off and get their pokemon healed, Du paused and wondered if she should go with them. Her pokemon weren’t hurt and she really wasn’t sure if she wanted to stick around Isis’ friends after she embarrassed herself the way that she did. She opened her mouth slightly to speak but she just couldn’t find that words that she wanted to use. Softly closing her mouth again she wondered if she should just stay here and continue shopping, granted, it might have been rude to just part ways and not say anything to anyone.

-]Cerbera saw something lurch towards herself and her Espeon out of the corner of her eye, faster than she would have thought possible based on the fighting so far. She couldn't quite tell what it was, but managed to get out, "Spirit! Watch your side!" She hoped that Spirit would be able to react quickly enough to not get hurt. Please don't let her get hurt! she wished. Her thoughts were jarred abck to the fighting once more as a rather hard punch came at her, the girl's arms buckling a little bit as she blocked it.[- -]Espeon hear the warning from her trainer half a second too late. The pokemon that came after her was fast, faster than she thought possible, and it got it's hands on her. Unfortunately, that's where the sneak attack ended. Before the Throh even had a chance to lift the Espeon off the cround and perform one of its namesakes, Spirit's eyes flashed. The gi wearing pokemon was blasted back with a burst of pure psychic energy and slammed into the wall unconscious. Unfortunately, neither of them saw the Throh's counterpart getting ready to lunge from the other side.[-

-]The force with which the Throh hit the wall shocked Cerbera. It also finally registered in the back of her head what the pokemon that has slipped past her looked like since she hadn't gotten a good look at it before. Unfortunately, seeing that meant she wasn't looking in the opposite direction where the similar looking pokemon was coming at them, specifically the Epseon.[- -]Spirit didn't see the Sawk coming either, at first. She was breathing heavily as she recoiled from the effort of that last blast. Suddenly, her ears twitched a bit, catching a sound from far too close to her. She whipped her head around, eyes already flashing as she powered herself up to blast this one too. What she saw was a Sawk, already in the air and lunging at her with a fist out. Spirit released the blast, knocking the thing out cold, but it didn't have quite the oomph as her last one. The fighting pokemon's momentum was enough to carry the unconscious body into the Espeon and knock it to the ground, momentarily pinned.[-

-]Suddenly Cerbera felt something brush against her back and the rear of her Espeon was no longer pressed up against the back of the young woman's legs. Immediately, her mind went into panic mode and she yelled out, "SPIRIT!!!" The girl also turned to look over her shoulder, causing her to miss an incoming punch. The fist glanced off of her sword, catching her in the jaw instead and making the girl see stars a little.[- -]Espeon wasn't really hurt, just a little winded. Plus, the Sawk was pretty freaking heavy. At the sound of her trainer's voice calling her name though, new energy began to flow through Spirit's body. Her eyes and fur began to glow a myriad of colors and a wave of energy burst from her body, sending the unconscious Sawk flying. The Espeon quickly hopped up to her feet and opened her mouth. The energy coursing through her body condensed at Spirit's mouth and she pointed it at the Mienfoo that was shifting over to keep the circle closed. "PEOOOOO!" she cried out, sending a beam of multicolored light streaking towards the Mienfoo and nearly vaporizing it. The pokemon was in really bad shape.[-

-]Oh god....This was Bad....Spirit was going insane. Cerbera wasn't really sure what to make of it, and she was a little preoccupied with the ongoing brawl to really put time into thinking about it. One thing was for sure, though: she would have to have a heart to heart with Spirit. She would have to give the pokemon a serious talking to and make sure her Espeon was okay. Thanks to the vicious assault from her pokemon, however, it was down to a one-on-one fight. A meditite verses Spirite, and some masked bird thing versus Cerbera. She did her best to deflect the enraged flurry of blows from the bird thing.[- -]Espeon could feel the distinct change in her trainer's mental state as Cerbera freaked out about the power behind those blasts, but it didn't seem to effect the way Spirit was acting in the slightest. Her victims were being whittled down to almost nothing, and now there was only one more in from of her. The Espeon charged up once more and unleashed a blast at the meditite, fe---what? Why didn't the thing go down? It didn't seem as hurt by the blast as the others had been. The Meditite, rather than striking back, just put it's hands together and closed it's eyes, almost as though it were begging to be taken out. Spirit growled into the thing's head, blasting it again and again until it fell down, unconscious.[-

-]When the Hawlucha saw the only other pokemon besides himself remaining get pounded into the pavement by Espeon's energy blasts, it got spooked. The pokemon was by no means stupid, and it was clear that the power balance had changed. In a flurry of feathers, it took off, flapping as hard as it's wings would carry it to try to get away. Sadly, it wasn't quite fast enough. Spirit shoved past her trainer and sent one final blast at the fleeing pokemon, soundly knocking it out of the air. The pokemon skidded to a halt in a cloud of dust, stopping just a few inches from Lua's feet where she was shielding the other pokemon with her body. There was an odd anger in Spirit's eyes.[- -]Cerbera could not believe what she was seeing. there sheer brutality that came from her beautiful green friend was staggering. She didn't know what else to do, so the girl pulled out Espeon's pokeball and recalled her. "Spirit," she said, still pretty disoriented by what she just saw, "You need to stay in there until....i can figure out...what just happened." She looked around at the scened of carnage that the alley had become, and all because she hadn't been watching where she'd been going. She gave a handfull of pokeballs to Lua after the girl nodded, and the two of them walked up and down the alley, collecting up all of the unconscious fighting pokemon and storing them in Cerbera's bag for the time being. -]Little did Cerbera know, but the entire brawl had been watched from a nearby rooftop by a mated pair of Heracross. They hadgathered to watch the gang brawl, and when the fight was interrupted, it only got that much more interesting. They noticed that the girl had managed to come out of the whole ordeal rather unscathed, and followed her from above as she began to wander around. For her part, Berrie quickly realized that she had gotten herself quite lost. She had no idea where the Pokemon Center was, and even less of a clue as to how to get there. Nobody seemed willing to help her either, giving the young girl dirty looks whenever she approached with Lua hiding close behind her. After a few minutes of aimless wandering, the female Heracross dropped down to see if it could help. Unfortunately, Berrie didn't grasp it's intentions and cried out, "Ahh! Another one! Get it Quill!" She reached for her belt and tossed her bird pokemon's ball, releasing it to fight.[- -]It didn't take long for Quill to get his bearings once released. The Fletchling had grown used to their little group so far, and there was only one thing he didn't recognize...and boy did it look tasty. The bird charged the Heracross, pecking it hard and sending it tumbling into the wall out cold.[-

-]Cerbera watched the Heracross tumble away, and at that moment it sort of sank in that she had made a mistake. The Heracross had made no threatening move towards her...rather it had looked quite friendly, and then she just up and attacked it. Clearly the brawl had left the young girl pretty rattled, but that wasn't really an excuse. Before she could do anything to make amends, though, the pokemon's mate dropped down from above. This one was clearly upset, shouting at Cerbera and her bird pokemon. She realized there was nothing she could do right now, so she said, rather solemnly, "Do it, Quill...We'll make amends later..."[- -]The Fletchling let out a battlecry, acknowledging the girl's orders and charged at the new opponent as well. The Heracross seemed to brace itself for what was coming, but was clearly overestimating it's own stamina. Quill pecked the bug hard, sending it to join it's mate on the ground.[- -]Cerbera quickly tossed a pokeball at each and collected them when they settled. -]The girl recalled her Fletchling once the trouble was over and attempted to resume her journey towards the missing Pokemon Center. She was starting to get a little desperate, her concern for the terribly injured pokemon in her bag growing by the minute. She really hoped that she wouldn't be too late. The girl ran as fast as she could without losing her little pack of followers, going alley by alley, street by street, and still not finding the familiar sign for the treatment center. She finally came to a stop, panting a bit at a small park with a fountain. Once again, though, the girl seemed to put off the indigenous wildlife, because as they neared the fountain there was a loud groaking, and a purple froggish thing hopped out, glaring menacingly. It looked far too strong for her Fletchling to handle, so with reluctance, she called out her espeon once more. "Come on out, Spirit," she said, "But please...please don't go overboard..."[- -]Spirit emerged from the ball, looking calm and collected once more, immediately saying, She noted the dangerous look on the Croagunk and readied herself, pooling her energy. The Espeon intended to apologize better once they were safe, but for now, this had to be dealt with. She sent a beam at the pokemon, blasting it off of the edge of the fountain in a single, powerful shot. She tried to hold abck a little this time, but it still seemed to overwhelm the creature.[- -] The difference in Spirits demeanor was immense, so Cerbera didn't get upset with her over the strong blast. Instead, she captured the Croagunk, intending to get it treated with the rest.[-

-]Now that Cerbera had a second to breathe without getting attacked, she made her way over to the fountain in the middle of the park and collapsed to her knees in front of it. She let out a loud sigh and then proceeded to wash her face with the water, trying to relax and regain her composure. The afternoon had gotten quite trying in just a short time, and now she was responsible for one of the most brutal events that she had ever seen personally. No, not one of the mos, THE most brutal.[- -]Lua walked over to the older girl, noting that she looked utterly exhausted. She set Winnie down on the edge of the fountain, and then wrapped her arms around Cerbera instead, hugging her tightly. she told Berrie, trying to reassure her.[- -]Likewise, Spirit made her way over and curled up against her trainer, nuzzling Cerbera's thigh. she said, [- -]The girl was comforted by the warm embrace of her dear friends, and those two weren't the only ones. Loofah came over to hug her, and Winnie nuzzled her cheek affectionately. It was a very sweet situation, and she started to feel more at ease because of the tender treatment. However, that tender moment was soon broken, all of the little cluster breaking apart in astonishment.[- -]A blinding golden light began to erupt from Berrie's backpack, not just from the opening at the top, but from any seam it could find a way through. The bag suddenly opened and the golden egg Lua had given her began to rise out of it, floating in the air. It began to crack, and as it did so, the light it emanated began to shift colors throughout the entire visual spectrum. Slowly the cracks enveloped the entire egg, the onlookers stunned by the occurrence. Once the cracks had encompassed the entire egg, the whole egg burst into flame, disintegrating in a manner of seconds. All that remained where the egg once hovered, was an adorable baby bird with rainbow colored feathers. It looked at Cerbera and in her head she heard an echoing, The bird promptly fluttered over to her shoulder, landing on it and nuzzling her head.[- -]Berrie didn't know what to make of this. She had never in her lifetime seen anything of it's kind. The entire experience was surreal, but more than that, the pokemon itself was strange. She had assumed it must be unique in some way because of the egg's metallic golden hue, but for it to hide within it something so spectacular? Unbelievable. The girl reached up to her shoulder and gently stroked the baby bird, cooking softly to it, "Hello there, little guy...What a little cutie you are..." The hatching of her egg had pushed the afternoon's horrors almost entirely out of her mind. The panic was gone, the guilt was gone...all that was left was the need to find a pokemon center. She gathered up her things and said, "Come on guys, we have to keep moving..." The girl then resumed wandering in search of the Pokemon Center, unknowingly treading into the city's northern ward.[-
