Jordan sprang out of bed and, still in her PJ's, lugged her bag of presents downstairs for the morning. Kids were gathering around the tree(s?) downstairs.

He spread of presents place discreetly under the tree in a pleasant arrangement that didn't take up too much room and didn't look too small.

His strategic plan to avoid carting gifts down stairs had paid off well. He pushed and shoved things in until they too were under the tree. He nodded at Jordan and somehow wiggled in behind Avery's head, so she both woke enough to realize people were around, but didn't make her uncomfortable enough to move.
She ended up laying on a pillow on his lap. More or less asleep again.
It seemed like she really had trouble sleeping on Christmas....

Jordan waved her head back and forth like a wave of the hand to say hello with her hands full. She set them down by the tree and picked off Avery and Whit's, bouncing over and hovering in the air next to them, handing over the presents. "Merry Christmas. I got you guys some presents..."
