 I just want to lay on my couch and read while watching it snow. I'm already done with this work day.
And it's not because I'm running on maybe 4 or 5 hours of sleep due to my late night fun.

Stede stared off towards the waves crashing against the beach, not really focusing on any particular spot. He tried to let the sound calm his mind from the thousands of thoughts that battled for his attention.
"Anyone sitting here?"
Stede turned to look over towards the feminine voice from behind him. Mary Anne flashed a sympathetic smile in his direction.
"Oh... um... no. Go ahead."
Mary Anne settled down into the sand next to him without uttering another word.
"You must think I'm foolish," Stede eventually blurted out.
"Foolish?" said Mary Anne, turning to look at him in surprise. "No, not at all. Ed is a charming man. It's not hard to fall for him. Coming from experience."
"Right... his wife and all."
"He's still yours though, Stede," she said, leaning over to gently bump his arm. "I think... he was always meant to be yours."
"How can you be so certain? Things seem to be such a mess right now."
"He's been so used to being what others wanted him to be. A captain. A fearsome pirate. A leader. So on and so forth. He became so focused on the needs of others that he lost sight of the most important person's needs - his own. Aside from me, I think you - and your crew - have helped him realize that. It'll take time to break his habits and prior thought processes... but I know for sure about one thing. He loves you. Nothing will change that. No one can change that."

*sees maintenance assistant pass by with cleaners to the bathroom* About time. talk2hand I've called over the radio two different times this morning about it to be cleaned up. Ugh.
