Zak didn't look at MD at first, but his eyebrow did raise at the claim. "Oh, yeah? You must have spent a lot of hours on ze machines here, then," he remarked casually, still working, but sounding more involved than his usual bored tone, at least. There was a faint smile tugging at the corner of his lips, but he didn't quite let it show. Honestly, the idea of this guy DDR-ing it away was.... kind of hilarious. Not in a disdainful way, but more in an amusing, endearing sort of way. He was kind of a dork, wasn't he? Magic, DDR champ, and incredibly theatrical... Zak formed a couple questions in his head that he definitely wasn't going to ask, but they made it a little harder to rearrange his expression back into that neutral facade.
And while MD was good at keeping things light, Zak was good at keeping a pokerface, and his tone defaulted to something flat naturally. "I promise, I can certainly keep my enthusiasm under wraps." He was falling to a more sarcastic, scathing tone even without meaning to, and he took a breath to shake the remaining threads of thought that weighed him down. He took another drink of his coffee, lapsing into silence as it washed over them, but glanced over when MD spoke up. "Just all ze ways to go about this...." he replied lowly, and pointedly finished his coffee off. Ignoring his lapse in control, he pointedly brushed off MD's prodding as well, and straightened up to change the subject.
"So, magic man, how do you want to go about this? I can probably get floor plans, but before I go extending my resources, maybe we should discuss an actual plan and make sure I know where to put ze effort into. Give you a chance to talk to me about zat subtlety you mentioned," he suggested, folding his computer down to mostly close, while turning to cross his arms over the table, and lean in towards MD. 'Nik had glanced over at his trainer's change in position, but when a voice trickled through his mind, he perked up, and swiveled his head around to meet piercing eyes glaring back at him. 'Uh.... You?' He recoiled a bit under the other's scrutiny, sounding clearly unsure at the look, as well as the form of communication. He hadn't talked to many through telepathy before...

While MD allowed a small smile to cross his face, inwardly he was grinning at the inquiry. "Yep, I suppose you could say that. Sometimes, I’ve got to reclaim the 3rd spot, but for the most part, I’m unrivaled," he said, tone a mix of pride and humor. Finishing his meal, pleased for once despite how problematic the events up until that point had been, MD shoved the empty bowl off to the side, continuing to watch Zak.
"Oh?" The magician cocked an eyebrow, head tilting to the side slightly with evident doubt. He still hadn’t picked up enough on Zak; the kid was all over the place. From pokerfaced to sarcastic, to scathing, to joking. "Well, that’s good." He didn’t want to agitate Zak before this was done; there was too much riding on the line for him to be pressing matters and learn what this boy’s deal was. There’d be time for that later.
"A plan? Well," MD drummed his fingers on the table, cupping his chin in the palm of his other. "I was just going to walk on in there. You know, as I am to do," he waved his free hand through the air. "Assuming… they’re closed by now, then it’s just a matter of finding the best way in." He paused, humming to himself in thought. That was about all he could do, to be honest. Breaking and entering, collecting what information he could, trying not to get caught… which he’d already failed miserably if he took a moment to think. "Unless you happen to have a better idea?"
Uriah stared back at ‘Nik, scowl still firmly set on his face. He didn’t appear to care that he came off as harsh, nor that ‘Nik, compared to his trainer at least, had no ill intentions at this current time. There was always a chance for things to escalate and that kept Uriah on alert. "And why’s that? Mind your business and eat your food.’ He retorted, arms folding over his chest as he leaned back against the chair, glancing only briefly to Jubilee and her Zorua form munching away at the food without a care. She really had no tact, didn’t she? Ugh.

Zak swallowed the urge to give MD a look. For one, that told him that MD either lived here, or lived around here. Even with pokemon, transportation took some time -- aside from, perhaps, teleportation, but still -- so to come here often, Zak had to figure the guy had other business. Maybe work, or more breaking and entering, but even if the place was just a favorite spot to swing by, he felt like he would have had to have spent some time here in the first place to fall in love with it. Maybe he could look into some past documents, find a better trace of this guy if he spent so much time here.... Speaking of. "Vell, impressive. You make it sound like you've held ze title for decades, though," he replied, flashing a smirk, and finally a glance at MD.
The reflex to tap his own fingers on the table was only reigned in by the rhythmic thrum of MD doing the same. He studied him silently, as he considered his response, and poured out a simple, almost painfully uncomplicated plan. ".... I suppose zat would be a way to go about it. If you're in no rush, I could try and remotely hack it. See if I could get to ze security footage, check out openings and get us access, without having to be quite so stealthy," he proposed casually. The fact that he actually had personal connections to this place would make it much, much easier to do this. He wasn't positive, but he felt pretty confident -- as he always did, of course -- that he could figure out a way to get them permission to essentially break in, with ease. Or at least get access to information that would make it easier. He already basically had basic blueprints of the place, after all, and he would be making sure MD didn't actually blow the place up, or interfere in a way that would hinder the work being done. The same work that Imperium was interested in.
'Nik's head tilted and bowed, looking at Uriah. "Last I checked, looking was free," he replied back evenly, before returning to his food, and ignoring Uriah. Where that moment of boldness came from, he didn't know, but the guy didn't scare him. It startled him at first, and he was a little unnerved, but looking at him, and how on edge and defensive he was.... 'Nik felt the insecurity bleed away. Maybe it was his team, and Zak, finally rubbing off on him, or maybe he just refused to bend under someone else's paranoia -- he got enough of that with Zak after all -- but Uriah's snap didn't seem to get to him nearly as much this time, as their initial interaction.

"Well maybe I have?" MD mused, a low chuckle following. It was probably dangerous to indicate even so much as the slightest of attachment to Nimbasa, but he was confident that Zak either wouldn’t dig further on the matter, take it as a joke, or just not care. There was hardly anything to be gleaned from the top charts on an arcade machine. A few initials that were shared by thousands was not enough to reveal his identity. "I’m not ashamed of my age after all."
MD’s gaze directed the Zak once more, staring at him intently. He’d laid out the plan as he’d have intended to do it. Hacking hadn’t been part of that plan, nor had been doing any sort of detailed reconnaissance before going in. It was a welcomed addition, if only because MD didn’t have to voice out loud his intentions to just go in blind. He could give Zak the pleasure of having totally suggested it as reasonable action to take.
"You can do that?" He stopped drumming on the table. "If it’s a big wig company, I’d imagine they’d have a much harder system to crack, wouldn’t they?" MD asked, tone curious. Admittedly, the fact that Zak seemed to know what the company was and locate information so quickly caught his attention, but for now, he played as though he hadn’t noticed. "How much time would you need to do that? I mean, I’m all for stealth, if it comes down to it. I’ve got tricks, my friend." He inquired, beginning to fish for his wallet. Food needed to be paid for after all.
Uriah held his tongue, wanting to retort but restraining against it. By the narrowed look he gave ‘Nik in response though, he didn’t appreciate the grass snakes comment. "Smartass." Was the only thing he let slip, rising up from his seat and opting instead to move off towards the counters to take a look at the pastry case. He wasn’t interested in eating, nor listening in as MD all but made an accomplice with a man who seemed very keen to blackmail them in a hot minute. What was wrong with his trainer? It was a wonder the man had made it this far in life. He’d never admit it, but the magician made him anxious with all his antics. Wasn’t he dealing with enough trouble? Grief.

Zak raised an eyebrow, his look perhaps a bit more pointed than he meant it. He didn't want to scare MD away from sharing information-- after all, he'd been seeking it with all his questions. But still, he wasn't sure whether MD was just joking, or confirmed that he was very familiar with Nimbasa. Deciding to forego subtly, he cocked his head to the side, inclining forward slightly as he spoke his next question. "Vat, did you grow up here or something?" he asked, sounding a bit dubious. He did smirk, though, as he considered MD's quip on his age, and leaned back, giving him a joking once over and a shadow of his usual flirtatious smirk. "Da, you have no reason to be, clearly."
There was something hollow in his chest even as he tried to joke and flirt and quip. It felt half hearted, even though he wasn't actively disinterested or disdainful towards any of the experience. It wasn't like he was forcing himself to try, or trying to keep up a facade. But there was still something so... half hearted about it, and he inwardly grimaced against the sensation tugging at him. And the fact that not even falling to his usual mannerisms, gave him any reprieve.
Zak nodded, but was already typing at his computer. "Of course, but zat doesn't mean I can't do it. We just might have to camp out for a little bit while I get into ze system." He glanced up from his work. "Or are you on a time table?" He straightened up a bit, and a frown crossed his face that suggested he wanted to ask what those 'tricks' were. After a moment, though, he seemed to think better of it, shake his head, and go back to his computer. "Did you want to do zis tonight, as well?"

Another chuckle. Well, that was a surprise. So much for his read on Zak so far. "I suppose you could say that, but I wasn’t born here." MD shook his head. Just because he had expected the subject to drop off didn’t mean he wasn’t prepared to respond if needed. "My father did a lot of business here and he brought me along a lot of the time. I had to keep myself entertained somehow, right?"
The thing about keeping up with your lies was to not fully lie. Just tell half the truth. Sure, it was a lie he wasn’t from Nimbasa, but it was true he’d spent a lot of time there. And his father did work here. No travel, but that wasn’t something Zak needed to know. By including just those simple elements of truth, it seemed a natural statement coming from the older man.
He quirked an eyebrow and smiled, flourishing a hand to his chest. "You’re too kind." Returning his hand to the table, he eyed Zak a moment as he returned his focus to his computer quickly. The swap from attempts quips to work were jarring. "Hm… okay." He drummed his fingers on the table in thought. "No, at least I don’t think so." It was hard to have a time table given the circumstances.
"Tonight was my intention. But if that’s not viable then… the sooner the better?" MD fiddled with the device at his wrist, making a face. "Would you prefer to head somewhere more what… secluded? The café closes in about an hour or so and I get a feeling it’ll take longer than that." He pulled his hand away from his wrist to rub at his chin, trying to think of other options. There was always the pokemon center, but he'd been cooped up in enough of those lately. Plus, it was Nimbasa.
Jubilee looked up from her half-finished meal, ears twitching as she watched her companion leave. She’d been eavesdropping on the less than stellar conversation between the two. An unnatural habit from working with Uriah and MD so much. She turned her attention the two pokemon Zak had released, eyeing them curiously, bushy tail swaying from side to side.

Zak arched an eyebrow as he listened to MD's response, looking less skeptical, and more so interested. Admittedly, he was inwardly taking everything with a grain of salt, but hey, if MD was going to continue to upheave information, he might as well keep digging. "Really? I've hear zat kind of childhood could be... trying. Traveling around a lot. Did you leave very far away?" he asked, finishing off his coffee before setting the cup near the edge of the table to be picked up.
Zak was continuing to type as he listened to MD, but suddenly he stopped, his fingers hovering over the keyboard. He had just gotten a notification from Imperium, and a myriad of emotions suddenly hit him. He only glimpsed the gist of the message, but it was definitely an alert. In fact, as he stared at the screen, the pop up fading in the left corner, a gentle realization soothed some of the sensations hitting him. It wasn't a message from Imperium-- it was from a search he'd set up. Trying to ignore the disconcerting notion of just how hard the idea of Imperium contacting him for a mission had hit him, he gave a little shake of his head, and read the message. All that going on nearly made him miss MD's words, but he caught them at a delayed pace, and swallowed a snort of laughter into a hard scoff. "Do you know a place?" he asked casually. Honestly, it sounded like a good idea, and he pulled back from his computer once his dark eyes had scanned the message. He closed his computer, finally raising his gaze to MD as he began putting his things away. "But, moving does sound like a good idea. So does doing zis as soon as possible. And after, you can help me with something." He started to get up, but paused as he realized how... tit-for-tat that sounded. Not like a request, but a demand. An expectation. "... If you want." he added, raising another eyebrow at MD.
'Nik blinked and glanced over from his meal as th eother pokemon spoke up, tilting his head to the side. He glanced at his teammate, who was scraping up the last of his meal, looking at her over the edge of the bowl. "... I'm Sotnik. This is Stranny," he introduced after a moment, then turned a curious, wary look to the Zorua, ".... You?"

MD shrugged nonchalantly. "A little bit. But I have older siblings, so there was always someone to hang around with." More truths, followed by the next set of lies. "I’m originally from Kanto, Saffron really. So… mm… yeah, I guess?" MD chuckled lightly, resting his chin in the palm of his hand, eyes focused on Zak. "Ever been? Big like Nimbasa but not nearly as entertaining, in my opinion."
The magician paused when Zak suddenly stopped, eyebrow quirking curiously. It seemed something had caught the young man’s attention, though he dared not try to peek to see what it might’ve been. Instead, he went the responsible route. "Something up?" Maybe he’d run into some trouble with his research? Maybe the hacking wasn’t nearly as seamless as he seemed to suggest it would be? Because if that was the case, MD wanted to know. He didn’t need more unsavory types trying to stalk him down and all. Conversation managed to resume though, or at least Zak caught his offer.
"Hm," his fingers drummed against the table again. The options were on the limited side given the time of day, but a bit of brain wracking found some options. "The smaller attractions at the amusement park would be open, stalls on the boardwalk too." His gaze turned to the corners of his eyes. "Or we can catch a show, but it’s rude to have a laptop out during a performance." His head bobbed from side to side. "Does the battle subway run this late? Not sure… or. We can find a nice bench in the park, and just sit there." There were other places of course; clubs, after-hour bars, things like that. But he didn’t know Zak (he didn’t even know how old this guy was), they were not friends and he didn’t want to hazard whatever trouble might arise from that kind of choice. He’d rather be safe than sorry. A plethora of options, all of interest to him. But to Zak? Well, that was the question. "Whatever suits your fancy, or unless you’ve a suggestion of your own?"
"Oh?" MD blinked, staring at Zak in confusion. Was he… asking for his help? With something? What? The man still hadn’t figured out how to feel about this situation. At first, he’d figured this be a blackmail situation, but given that Zak was willingly helping him… break into a place he apparently had associations with clouded everything further. He leaned forwarded a bit, narrowing Zak with a look as though he expected a ‘gotcha’ moment to occur. When it didn’t, he leaned back in his seat, folding his hands in his lap. Still watching Zak with a confused look. "Depends on what it is. If it’s learning magic, sorry, my lips are sealed." What game was this kid playing?

She remarked, unintentionally mispronouncing the Serperior’s name in her curiosity about the Greninja’s. "My name is Jubilee! But you can call me Jubi if you prefer." Her ears twitched, head tilting to the side as blue eyes continued to stare back. She had to tilt her head up to look at the pair, they were rather on the tall side. Like their trainer. "How long have you been with your trainer? He seems on the quiet side."

Zak raised an eyebrow but his expression shifted to something much harder to read. He was trying to read the truth in MD's responses, but his mind was also catching onto every word to tangent off into unrelated thoughts. Memories of his own siblings, skepticism on their company, his family, games they played... He lifted his head as MD mentioned Saffron, and mentally tried to take that to note, nodding absently before giving a shake of his head. "No, I don't think so. If I did, it vas in passing, and I didn't get ze chance to take in the city," he replied. Honestly... he couldn't remember if he'd been in Saffron. He'd been to so many regions, in so many cities, that without spending a lot of time in any one in particular, they sort of.... blurred together. He knew he'd been to Castelia. He knew he'd been to a few others, in some of the other regions. But Kanto was.... surprisingly unexplored for him. He was pretty sure he had one badge that he'd grabbed during some travel event or something, but that was about it. Well.... and Cinnabar Island...
Grimacing against the loose, almost subconscious association, he focused instead on his computer, though that didn't provide the best distraction. From one turmoil to another, he was only aware of how much was escaping onto his expression and his actions at MD's question, and the corner of his mouth turned down slightly as he shook it off. "No just... something came up. Nothing immediate, however," he lied. It was actually very pressing, but that was just all the more reason to try and hurry and finish up here.
Gathering his things together, he listened to MD list a few options of where they could go, raising an eyebrow at the man as he hummed and hawed over the options. At the mention of his own suggestions, Zak's gaze slid away. There was that same shadow of a response, of how he would usually be, raising up inside of him, but a heavy fatigue of emotion weighed it down. He swallowed the snarky suggestion he so often would have given and just shook his head. "Park bench works well enough, so long as you think it vould be secluded and private," he answered, standing up and gathering his things.
He tried to ignore any sense of awkwardness at his 'request', and exhaled shortly through his nose in a mix of amusement and disbelief at MD's response. Did this guy take anything seriously? "Has nothing to do with magic. More to do with... tracking somvone down," he replied, and after a pause, added, "A criminal, to be specific," if for no other reason than to see MD's reaction.
'Nik twitched a bit at the mispronunciation of his name, especially paired with interest in his companion, instead. Stranny just blinked at Jubilee, setting his empty plate aside, and jumping up onto the back of the booth as his trainer vacated it. The pokemon wasn't exactly antisocial, especially not like some of 'Nik's teammates, but he wasn't invested in the conversation without some personal interest, and instead chose to look around. 'Nike threw his teammate a wary side look, but looked back to Jubi, nodding to her introduction, but looking curious at the question. "Quiet....?" he repeated, clearly confused. Zak? Quiet? He looked over to the Russian. He supposed he did seem sort of more... withdrawn. There was something a little weird about him, now that he really took a second to look. But he'd never struck him as the quiet type. "Um.... He must just be focused on something. I've been with him since he got me from the lab, though. So um.... a while? Maybe a year or so?" he guessed. He hadn't really been keeping track of time, and it was always a little weird when you were in a pokeball.

"Ah, shame, shame! It’s got its own sites worth seeing, you should take a proper visit if you get the chance. Celadon is right next door too! Biggest shopping mall around, over there." MD grinned, gaze never leaving Zak’s as he spoke. The hardened expression, the vacant looks of a mind wandering, and other subtle hints that something was certainly on Zak’s mind. As well as signs that his personal façade was slipping from his control here and there.
"Oh? Really?" MD tilted his head some. "You sure? You look extra serious now for something not immediately important." He pointed out. He followed suit though as Zak collected his things to head out, placing a few bills on the table as a tip for the waitress, wallet still out to pay at the cash register as they passed. "Alright, park bench it is. I think I’ve got just the place," he said with a nod, still watching Zak.
MD froze as the details were laid out, brow furrowing in immediate concern. A criminal? Now that was… oddly specific. And just a bit concerning. He felt his heartbeat in his ears for a split second as panic rose in his throat. Was he dealing with yet another one of Interpol’s little secret agents? Was he about to walk himself into an ambush? A trap? More trouble that he didn’t need? In a split, the concern twisted into a pleasant curious grin. "Tracking a criminal? Darn, and I was just feeling special," he shook his head. "That seems like a big job. Do I get to know at least… why you’re tracking them? Some hints? I’m not about to get blown up after all, already dealt with that once in my life, thank you." His tone was teasing, not quite verifying if there was any truth to that claim or not. He stopped and paid for the meals and drinks, glancing back down to their table. "Jubi, c’mon. We’re heading out." He turned and gestured to Zak to follow when ready before heading out and back out into the city once more.
Jubilee watched Stranny flip back and out of his trainer’s way a bit in awe at the stunt of athletic prowess before turning her attention back to Sotnik. 'Yes! Quiet! He’s got that… quiet dude cool vibe thing!' She grinned. 'I understand! Sometimes our trainer gets quiet when he focuses! But he’s usually just really bright, like a magician should be!' She finished the last few bites of the pokemon food, scooting the bowl off to the side.
'Wow! You lived in a lab? How was it? Was it nice? Have you been to a lot of places?! That’s so long, but you’re so big already! You must be so strong! Wow!' Jubilee babbled excitedly, only stopping when MD called for her to follow. She chirped and paused, taking a moment to allow her form to shimmer and change, returning to her illusionary form of a young woman once more. She picked the bowl up and set it on the table, flashing a smile to Sotnik. 'I’d love to keep talking if you want! I can still speak even when illusioned! Uhm, in the mind, that is! You get what I mean, right?'

Zak looked at MD, still trying to get a read on how honest he was being with all this. He arched an eyebrow when he mentioned Celadon and its shopping district. That sounded a little more familiar, and he had to admit, it gave a bit more credence to the guy's claim. For now, Zak noted that as just another thing to keep in mind and possibly look into, if he really decided to delve into researching this guy, but for now, that matter was shelved. Especially with more pressing matters making themselves known.
His frown deepened some when MD called him out on his change in demeanor and pressed the subject, and took a little longer to respond. He was debating whether it was really something he could put off, now that he was prompted with an opportunity to be honest. But that wasn't exactly his style, and he was confident he could track the person down even if he delayed his departure. So why was he considering opening up now? Shaking off the sensation, and MD's insistence, he lifted a hand in an additional, dismissive wave. "It can wait, for now," he insisted.
He pulled out some of his own cash to head to MD to help pay, but studied the man's reaction as he seemed to hesitate at the inclusion. What, was he skittish around that kind of thing? Zak's eyes narrowed incrementally. Or was MD himself a criminal? He had been breaking into the police station, after all, and he was clearly prepared to break into this research center as well. Zak slowly put away his own wallet as he studied MD, and didn't lighten his gaze when he finally did respond, that grin back in place. "What can I say, I'm an invested good Samaritan," he replied back, folding his arms over his chest some, computer tucked under one arm. He shifted to make their way out of the cafe, only shrugging and responding once they'd passed through the doorway. "Well, then, you should be especially good at avoiding it again, right?" he replied back, flashing a smirk at MD. It was a little more playful than he'd managed before, but there was still a hollow feeling to it. Honestly, the fact that MD mentioned that, specifically, was ironic. After all, the target was a demolitions expert. Not that Zak was keen to reveal that at the moment.
He didn't bother glancing back to make sure his pokemon were following, but they were. Sotnik looked at Jubi, confused by her description of his trainer, but nodded slowly. 'I.... I guess,' he admitted, able to see at least some of her points, for both trainers. He looked a little less confident about the mention of the lab, but answered all the same, explaining that it was nice, that he got to play with other pokemon some, but he mostly stayed in his pokeball. That he evolved very quick thanks to Zak, and he guessed he was kind of strong, though he wasn't sure just how, compared to other pokemon. He continued chatting with her, lagging behind, while Stranny quietly leaped and slipped through shadows alongside them.

Faraday hummed to himself, still eyeing Zak as he once more waived off the inquiry into what ailed him. "Alright then." He shrugged, a hand waving through the air as an indicator that he’d leave the topic alone. There would be time, hopefully with the following endeavor they’d be taking on, to learn more about each other; or rather, MD about Zak.
He waved off Zak’s monetary donation, opting to cover for both. Wallet tucked away, he headed back out to the streets, waiting for the other to join him (and checking that Jubilee was in tow). "That’s one way to put it," MD mused, flashing the taller man a grin before beginning to lead the way towards one of the smaller parks in Nimbasa. The streetlights were on now, illuminating the mostly abandoned streets to a point that one might of thought there was a festival going on. That wasn’t the case of course; it was just the way of the city and the lack of bodies on the street more than proved that this was just another evening.
"So… why are you trying to track this person down? What’d they do exactly?" MD asked once there was hardly a soul in sight, peering at Zak curiously as they came closer to the park. It seemed just as abandoned at the streets, with only a few late evening walkers passing through. The man’s eyes didn’t stay on his ‘companion’ for long, scanning the area as they entered through the park gates. A minute or so of looking and he nudged Zak, gesturing to a bench more towards the back area of the park, with good coverage from bushes and a nice tall tree.
"That suit you for secluded, Aku?" He grinned, beginning to head that way. Whether it was or not, Zak would just have to deal with it. MD plopped down unceremoniously, eyeing Zak as he pondered about the tasks at hand. His focus should’ve been on the break-in, not trying to figure out who or what the Russian was supposed to be hunting down. But it was hard; it just hit a little to close home for his comfort and given the run-in with Ashley well…
It was probably a good idea to keep an eye out here. Or at least figure out what he could in the event a hasty getaway was necessary. "So you really think we could get this done tonight?"

Swinging between moods so much, Zak could appreciate MD's levity. Especially considering he was personally still coaxing for help with something MD had specifically mentioned having no interest in, even if MD didn't quite know that just yet. That being poooossibly getting blown up. He warily glanced over as MD pressed the topic a bit. Rather than focusing on their current goal, he seemed to harp on this hypothetical, which tugged at the corner of Zak's mouth. What, was he worried or something? Maybe his hypothesis of MD's criminal history was a little more accurate, hm? Worth keeping in mind, at least. He shook his head a bit, both to clear his thoughts, and to appear dismissive towards MD's question. "Let's just say zat regardless of personal alignments, he's not somevone anyone should want out on ze streets," he replied back vaguely, flashing a biting smirk. It was clear he knew that was a pretty foreboding remark to make, but hey, maybe it would be motivating. And at least it would probably elicit some kind of insightful reaction from MD, right?
Zak looked over at the indicated spot, his gaze shifting from surveying the area to focusing on the spot in particular. After a moment of consideration, he followed MD. "Da, I think zis should work," he agreed, nodding to his pokemon. 'Nik seemed a little uncertain, but as Stranny obediently hopped off to check the area out and keep a parameter, just in case, he soon caught on, and followed suit.
Zak followed MD to sit down, a little more composed as he did, and brought his computer around to his lap. "Da, assuming you don't fall asleep on me," he replied back simply as he reopened his computer and got back to work. His tone was flat, but after a moment, he flashed a smirk at the other to indicate he was joking, before focusing on his hacking. "So while I'm vorking, would you like to continue telling me about yourself? Or anything else I should know for zis?" he casually prompted, a very slight smile on his face at the idea that MD had really told him much of anything about himself already.

There was nothing more delightful than receiving ominous insight into whether he was walking into a death trap or not. Really the smart choice?
