___________ leaned against one of the lab tables, the sounds of Otto tinkering with the machine parts next to her filling the silence of the room. After awhile, she found her attention focusing on the metal tentacle arm sliding over into her line of sight and had it's orientation at an angle, as if it was tilting its head at her. She smiled and reached a hand out to lightly tough it. "It's okay, Moe," she said. "Just got lost in my thoughts." She could sense her Uncle looking over his glasses at her. "You seem to be doing that a lot." "A lot's been going on. I felt I knew how I felt about everything. But after certain points others have made..." "You are second guessing yourself?" he asked, setting his tools down. "Not necessarily myself. But the plan I had been focused on." "It's a brilliant concept. The problem is the others don't have the intelligence to fully comprehend what it could mean for the world," he said. "It's nothing new. They did the same thing with Norman and me. Just don't let their lack of knowledge cause you to fall into their traps of rushing into things. Norman and I were so focused on impressing them that we failed to acknowledge the complications that would turn up." "Your 'complications' aren't so bad," retorted _______, gesturing to the mechanical arms. He glanced over his shoulder at them and then back at her with a smile. "I suppose you're right."

Okay... I know I primarily see the character Doctor Otto Octavius as an Uncle figure and haven't had any romantic thoughts about him.
But when it comes to Alfred Molina... there's times I look at images of him and do a slight take back because I realize there are some facial similarities to other romantic interests I have. Specifically JDM. Like Molina is just a bit rounder in the face, especially if we are comparing to current day JDM.
But if we look at like Supernatural!JDM...
Um... yeah.

I've realized there's some parallel similarities between Norman/Green Goblin and Otto/Doc Ock, and some of the Avengers in the MCU.
You have an individual working with military equipment/advancements (Norman & Iron Man) who end up using those items on themselves (Norman & Captain America). Then there's a scientist who is looking for alternative energy options (Otto) but in the process becomes one with the mechanical equipment they are utilizing (Otto / Bucky).
And there were a few other parallels I thought of last night but I can't recall them right now.

It's a shame that Norman and Otto couldn't have met Tony Stark. I think they would have a fabulous time together with all of their crazy science ideas.
