*listens to Ava Max's "OMG What's Happening"*
Yep... this is capsuling my feelings perfectly. Totally confused on how I'm suddenly becoming obsessed over a character I never really thought about before since his first appearance.

I absolutely loved Doc Ock's interaction with all of the Stark technology. That intellectual curiosity and fascination seeping through despite his own technology working against him.

The flashes of color eventually broke free into darkness as she found herself being thrusted out of a portal gateway. Despite her attempt to brace herself for the landing, she still could feel the lingering pain from landing on the polished concrete floor and figured she would have bruises as a result. Finally taking in her surroundings and seeing the portal close behind her, she could feel the sense of being watched by someone. She turned and looked up to see an older gentleman staring down at her with wide eyes, four mechanical arms spreading out from his back. "Um... hello," she said, slowly getting to her feet. "Sorry for uh... dropping in like this. Wasn't exactly my idea." She glanced over her shoulder again on where the portal had been. "Who are you?" he eventually asked. "A friend. I can assure you of that." He watched her for a few more minutes before she watched the mechanical arms relax behind him. "So... you're from another universe?" She tilted her head in surprise and curiosity. "How did you know?" "I've seen a similar... uh... magic, I suppose you would call it, as that," he nodded towards the area behind her.
"Well... I suppose I should take comfort in that," she said, flashing a smile in his direction. "Doctor Otto Octavius, at your service," he said, stepping forward and holding a hand out. "Pleasure to meet you." Despite his hand seeming to engulf hers, she was relieved to feel the warmth and welcoming aura coming from the exchange. She tilted her head to look at a lingering mechanical arm that seems to weave its way to her side and pointed at her as if watching. "Don't worry. They won't harm you."
"Interesting promise to make considering you just met me a moment ago after I crashed into your..." She looked around seeing she was in some sort of laboratory workshop. "There's something about you that reminds me of someone. Hard to go against that feeling."

"Now the real question is how to get you back to wherever you came from," he said, as he walked over to one of the work benches where various mechanical parts where scattered about the service. She followed to stand on the opposite side of the bench from him. As she felt her mind subconsciously try to figure out what he was working on, she realized she must have arrived in the middle him working on the project. "Obviously using magic to send you back is out of the question," he said before flashing a smile. "Unless you happen to have access to a wizard." "Afraid I'm all out of magic tricks," she replied, returning his smile. Briefly touching one of the parts on the bench, she added, "Sorry for interrupting your work." "No need to apologize," he said. "Your... uh, arrival... was exactly the thing I needed. Both as a break from my work and to re-spark the inspiration that got me started on this in the first place." "If you don't mind me asking, what exactly are you working on?" "Improvements." "Improvements?" she asked, not following. He gestured to the mechanical arms that seemed to shift their angled ends at her, like heads of a snake. "When I first created these, the concept was quite rudimentary. I recently encountered someone with higher technology than what I've ever dreamed of laying eyes on... and made me realize that if I am to use my intelligence to do good in this world, I will need to adapt to the current world accordingly." "To do good?" "I admit the original experiment had an... uh... unexpected outcome," he replied, looking down at the pieces before him almost in shame. "But that individual helped fix the problem. And now I'm on a new path. A better one." "Despite not being my field of expertise, I think I can figure out what you're working on," she said after a moment. She flashed a smile at him in reassurance when he seemed to look at her waiting for recognition and approval. "It's quite impressive." "Thank you."
