It feels like it's been forever since I last posted here but it's only been the usual week.

Tomorrow at work we're celebrating Batman Day by having day-long dress up day and various other themed activities. When I first heard about it, I was so excited because I love dress up days... and then I realized I don't have a single Batman-themed item. So the other day I stopped by Spirit Halloween and purchased a Batgirl costume for me to wear.

And with that, I'm caught back up on the Solstice Event. Now to wait for part 3 and part 4 to be released.

I've been there for people whenever they needed me, but where are they when I need them? Does my quietness not indicate that I wanna say something, something that's killing me inside but won't come out until they ask "Are you alright?"Mood.

It was interesting the other day when I was walking through Spirit Halloween as I was looking at the various costumes and accessories. They tend to sort their costumes by genre or decade. It was intriguing to walk along through them and go "Ah, yes, this is my aesthetic!" (Victorian/Steampunk) or "Nope, not my thing" (20s/70s) or "I guess it's okay" (50s).

The other night my bird bath fell over and the glass "top broke. While I'm not heartbroken over it, I am sad that it broke since it was so pretty and suited my little garden area so well.
It was interesting to see the variety of responses from people on Facebook when I mentioned it. I got a few sympathetic responses but most of the others just seemed... I don't heartless or seemed out of place. Like some were all "You should've done such-and-such" and yeah, I should've but telling me that now isn't going to fix the broken dish top. And then there were others that were "it was too pretty to last". Wow... geez, thanks. After seeing so many of those responses, there was a part of me that regretted even posting it.

And then my Aunt (who introduced me to the project idea) was all "There's more glass available to choose from at your Grandma's place." Yeah, I know. I was there when you stated you would leave things there for people to do projects with... but none of the other pieces you brought interested me. The ones I used were the only ones that really captured my inspiration.
