Du smiled brightly at Rose as she offered her number and played with the idea of them all competing with each other someday. Du retrieved her Xtransciever and happily exchanged numbers with Rose. ”That would be interesting! I’m taking on Sinnoh’s Contest ring right now, so maybe when the time comes for Hoenn we can meet up and really take the Region by storm!” Du’s smile became a happy grin. She wasn’t sure what sort of people or friends she would meet up along the way of her journey, and although she had a bit of a rough start at first, she was starting to get to know people who shared the same interests as her, and that was really exciting. She also took down the numbers of Machina and whoever else seemed to be interested in her number, Gio as well, if he was interested, though she did doubt it considering that she had literally just arrived here and they probably had little in common with each other. At least that’s what it seemed right off the bat. Du remained quiet as Gio took off to conquer the gyms that lay in his wake and her face relaxed and softened. She wondered if she was a stronger person if she would have been able to muster up that much excitement for battling gym leaders and the like. Du was pretty sure that she was on the right path to make herself happy, but she still wondered if her parents would be just as proud of her if she was in contests as opposed to becoming a Champion like her brother. Well, she supposed as long as she worked hard and did her best with it that it wouldn’t matter either way. Even the Professor said that Contests were just as noble of a pursuit as being a trainer. It was a comfort for Du to hear that and a much needed relief after the stress she had put herself though when she was pushing herself to be the trainer that she could never be.
Du distracted herself from those types of thoughts by teasing Isis a little bit, only to have Zero come in on the conversation with a reluctant hesitation. Now there was no way that Du was going to pass up this opportunity and was quick to stir the pot. Du clasped her hands together and closed her eyes, tilting her head up slightly as though she was remembering something that she needed comfort with. ”Oh, it was horrible! What I stumbled across when I met them was a corrupting force of my poor, innocent youth! The Debauchery that those two were involved in will forever stain my virgin mind.” Her tone was very teasing, poor Isis looked as though she wanted to die from embarrassment and it only seemed to grow worse when Fynx added her two cents in as well. Du paused for a moment, tilting her head slightly to the side and placing a finger beside her mouth in thought. ”Do you really think so? I think with a little make up and letting her hair down would really bring out a more mature look that would really compliment her figure.” It was about then that Du heard a muffled scream as Isis vented her embarrassment and quickly decided to latch onto other topics of conversation. Dumuzi giggled and wrapped her arm through Isis’ as the girls seemed to be more than content on heading off on their shopping adventure. Du’s stomach got a little fluttery for some reason when Isis started to gush a little bit about some of the things that Du would look good in. With a smile on her face and some pink staining her cheeks, Du was more than ready to go shopping with Isis and Rose. She was resolved to tell Isis what she decided on, and shopping would provide the perfect opportunity for her to do that. Du couldn’t help but wonder if this was what it was like to have an older sister, and if things would have turned out differently if she had one of those instead of a brother?
Niamh happily entwined her ribbons with her new friends and stood close to her, just in case she needed to gently nudge Nymph out of the way of an obstacle. Niamh trotted happily beside her friends as they made their way towards… wherever they were going. The city better watch out, because the 3 cutest Sylveons where on the prowl~!

Zero nodded as Isis asked for the numbers of his friends. "Yeah, sure. Machina's probably most of the way back to Sinnoh by now, so it'll probably work out better to just give you two the numbers." Raising his X-Transceiver, he scrolled through his contacts to exchange the two he had, waving off Gio as he left to return to his journey. He gave Du his own as well, in the event that she needed it for any reason. Once they were through, the topic momentarily shifted to Rose's interest becoming a coordinator. It was a nice, if short-lived distraction that let him remember a bit of his days in the contest hall.
But they were short lived, none the less. Suddenly, the conversation took a turn towards some form of novel Du presumed Isis to be writing, the particular wording of which made it sound... all levels of wrong. "Steamy romance", Fynx's "journalism to the bed" comment, and then Dumuzi being... over dramatic, again. That calm neutrality Zero had just got back returned to the edge of snapping, causing Nova to need to double-down on calming him mentally. Isis vehemently denied and protested, but... needless to say her argument for Leon being a good guy were plummeting below the Earth's crust. Fortunately, Isis managed to change the topic back to shopping... but not before Fynx and Du commented on... "leisurely wear" for Isis.
Wiping the blood from his nose, he immediately followed along with Isis, more than eager to get back to just having a fun day in town.
Meanwhile, Nova removed her hand from Atona as the connection was made, alleviating some of the burden from his mind. Though, his discomfort didn't go unnoticed, but the Mega Gardevoir kept quiet about it. As the three followed along behind their trainers, and Nu hovering a few paces behind, Nova couldn't help but make note of something. "You and Zero are a lot alike, you know?" She asked the Lucario, though seemed a bit sad when she settled her gaze on her trainer's back. "It's a little distressing, honestly..."

Giovanni made sure to thank everyone before he sperated from the group. "Hey Lucario, what do you say we go do some training before we challenge the next Gym?" he was met by a nod and so they pushed into the deepest part of the city.
It wasn't long before they had reached the city center but Gio wasn't interested in training anywhere in the city. At least not if he didn't have to. There were so many different trainers here in Lumiose that who knew if he would make it out without a battle.

Instantly, Marx beamed at the mention of getting a hug from Alex. "Like a consolation prize?" he asked, clearly enthused at the idea, "That would be great!" Awesome! He could get a hug from his friends either way! Placing his hands behind his head once more, he seemed totally oblivious to their approach of the city. Not to mention, the news that he could call her by a shorter version of her name. He was smiling so much, it was a wonder he didn't grin his face off. Or in half.
The smile turned thoughtful when Alex appropriately cautioned the likely wait before they could celebrate her victory. "That makes sense... I mean, I bet it takes a lot of prep time." And the smile was back. "And a lot of training! I bet you already have an idea of what you're gonna do to get ready, huh?" he added, grinning again. Alexandra seemed like the planning type. The sort that would have things carefully laid out before initiating that first step. He wouldn't be surprised if she'd planned it all before he even started her journey!
He nodded when she agreed to leave him in charge of the celebration, his mind already spinning with (possibly unrealistic) ideas. He glanced back, though, as she called to her pokemon, watching curiously as the mawile, in turned, seemed to call to someone else. Oh! Rose was more than happy to exchange contact information with Du, and once the exchange was done, she couldn't help but feel excited for the future contests she would be participating in. She looked forward to entering with her friends. The red head blinked as Isis chimed in, mentioning she didn't know that she was interested in contests. "Heh, yeah! I don't know much about them or how they work, but I'd really like to give it a try! It seems like a fun thing to get into." she responded.
Rose felt a bit confused as Isis seemed to suddenly get blushy and avoiding the conversation. She didn't understand what was being said or the implications of such, but didn't think too much on it. To be honest, she's never really shopped on her own, and well... she honestly wasn't that 'up to date' with fashion. Once they were in a store, Rose felt a bit out of place as Isis and Du started talking about dresses and skirts. Since Blaze seemed tired, Rose returned him to his ball.
Fynx sighed at Atona's reaction to her apology. Yeah, now was definitely not a good time to ask about those memories, it seemed. Not with how 'stubborn' the old dog had gotten about her sympathy. She had tried to make a comment like usual, but she didn't feel as 'involved' this time. Her ears flicked as he gave a short laugh. "Funny that you think I said that as a joke. Gimme that." Fynx replied, then took Isis' stuff from Atona. She could hold it in a psychic bubble for now. It looked like the girls were getting involved in shopping, so it might be a while before Isis actually picks out and buys a new bag to use.

Alexandra nodded, confirming her offer and its term. "Yes, exactly like that." Amused at his excitement she offered him a simple smile before she looked back at the quickly approaching city, and moved over so that they would be the sidewalk when they arrived. So as not to take up too much room she shifted herself so as to begin walking in a line, which meant craning her head back whenever she wanted to talk to Marx, with the consolation of knowing that it would lessen the chances of getting lost or having to move awkwardly whenever a stranger tried to move by. "Alright then. Whenever Cheria texts you back tell me, then we'll know how you fared," she suggested and took note of his smile. "Doesn't your face hurt from smiling so much?" she mused aloud, remembering how sore her own face had been not long before.
She couldn't help but to laugh good-naturedly at his question, though she allowed her merriment to die down before she gave a nod of confirmation. "Yes, it takes a lot of preparation, amongst other things." Taking on eight gym leaders and training for each would take, at least for her personally, at least a year or so, and that wasn't even adding in the multiple opportunities to become side-tracked that would surely come along. Alexandra found herself smiling, "I have something along those lines," she admitted, rather happy to know that her friend thought that much of her. And he was right, she knew the types of pokemon each Elite Four favored and the six likely pokemon they'd used and, as such, so she knew the type of team she wanted to have with her when she challenged them, but that was about it. She had no true strategy yet.
As they continued to walk Alexandra began to realize just how needed her little respite had been, as determined as she was to get her pokemon stronger she couldn't forget to work on her own social skills. Celebrating Rose's birthday and seeing everyone was a good way to get away from battling, just for a bit. Now she was traveling with Marx so that she could head back to her home region, so, all in all, in poketerms she'd certainly 'leveled up', socially.
Xion, who had already started back, turned her head instinctively when she heard Basil approaching, expecting him to slow down to walk back with her. Unfortunately that wasn't the case, at all. "Wha?" It took a moment for Basil's challenge to sink in, and once it had he was already several meters ahead. "You getting a head-start still won't help you, you know!" she teased as she picked up the pace, stride increasing and face contorting into a determined expression.

✿ ❀Isis happily accepted Andreas and Machina's numbers, saving them into her contacts as Du did the same. It was too bad Du had just missed Machina, but another opportunity would arise she was sure. Unfortunately Du had returned the favor by single handedly slandering her in the interest of total and utter humiliation when it came to her and Leon, not to mention how embarrassing this was in front of Zero alone. She hoped he at least had the good sense to realize that Du was teasing her and being overdramatic, especially when she answered Zero's inquiry on what he had missed at the Tanabata. She felt like her head was about to explode as Du and Fynx began to argue whether she would look more sexy in leather or lace, until finally she couldn't take it any more, and insisted on changing the subject back to shopping for TOTALLY NORMAL CLOTHING ITEMS like the bag she needed to replace. At least her embarrassment had kept her from noticing Zero's nosebleed, which probably would have only made things worse for both of them.
Atona in the meantime had his own demons to attend to, and though Nova and Fynx were trying their best to cheer him up and help him out, he felt conflicted, particularly when Nova couldn't stop herself from commenting on the similarities to his and Zero's behavior. "Perhaps, but not in the way you might think. I don't let it stew within me and isolate myself because of it. The pain and regret does linger, but that's only natural. I keep breathing, I keep living, I keep trying to move on and let it go, at least to the best of my abilities...Some days are just... Harder than others." He admitted with great discomfort. He then addressed Fynx as she had apologized for her behavior and made a crack about overwhelming him. She seemed almost offended he had taken the latter comment as a joke. "My apologies. Perhaps tease was the more proper term." He smirked. Though it held somewhat of a resemblance to a grimace, he was trying.
He was however, surprised when she snatched up Isis' items to hold in her psychic bubble. Atona gave her a curious look, since not to long ago she had thought his punishment of carrying Isis' stuff was well deserved. He suspected more pity being the cause and sighed. There was no use getting angry about it. "Thank you." He said amicably. They were entering the store now, so soon Isis would have a new bag to put it all in anyways. Unsurprisingly, the bags were the first thing she ran for, her eyes already sighted and set on a nice black leather bag. "Ooooh.... It's even got that nice musky smell...." Isis sighed, sniffing the bag gingerly. The smell of new leather was always pleasant, but then it suddenly dawned on her that leather had been one of the argued sides of more scandalous attire between Du and Fynx, so Isis paused, eyeing the two nervously and setting the bag down quickly. "B-but y'know, best not to get hasty, I bet if I look around there will probably be something better." Isis insisted, moving quickly and uncomfortably to get away from the bag. ✿ ❀

Du was enamoured by all of the clothes and what not that were on presentation in the surrounding areas. The shops held everything that a girl could ever ask for and then some, to be honest it was a little hard to figure out where to start looking for things. There was also that little gnawing of nervousness that had entered her being. She had never been shopping for girls clothes before, was there something that she should be looking out for? Where there some sort of social boundaries that she needed to be leery of in order to pull off an outfit? And… was she going to be able to find items that would both compliment her, bring out her own style and not give away here little secret? She was starting to feel a little bit overwhelmed with the whole thing and she hadn’t even stepped foot in the shops yet! There were so many different colors and styles that she wasn’t really sure what to do or where to go first. Maybe sticking by Isis would be the best thing for her right now, then at least she could try and pick up some social cues and body language from the young woman. Anything to blend in better, it would be really awkward if she was chased out of these stores because she wasn’t what she was presenting herself as. Du noted that Isis was quick to retreat to the bags to replace the one that was apparently destroyed in some sort of altercation with a pokemon in town. She was quick to pick out a black leather bag that looked as though it was made for her before eyeing Du up and then putting it back and shuffling away nervously. Du chuckled lightly to herself and made note that perhaps she should ease up on the teasing a bit? Isis’ reactions were far too priceless to give up completely though. Du went over to the bag and picked it up and brought it to Isis. ”Now, now, there is no need for you to second guess your choices. The bag looks great with you and fine quality is always something that one should invest in.” Du offered the bag lightly to Isis with an amused, but gentle smile on her face. There wasn’t a hint of teasing this time around. ”But we should keep looking anyway, right? After all, we might find a hidden treasure our eyes haven’t found yet.” Du started to shuffle and browse through the bags that were on display, keeping an open mind to see if she could find something for herself as well. When the others were comfortably out of earshot, Du slipped a little closer to Isis so that she could talk in a low voice and not have anyone hear what she was saying to her older sister figure. She was a little nervous about telling someone, but she had a feeling that Isis was safe to tell and would be a support for later. Still, there was always that doubt that you were about to do something wrong. ”Hey, Isis…” Du tone was quiet and soft, she continued to gently go through the handbags so as not to draw attention from anyone else. ”I… I’ve decided that I’m going to start hormones and live as a girl as best I can full time. I’m not sure how I’m going to find a doctor who will help me or how on earth I’m going to tell my family. But… I think I need to do this for myself. When I set off on this adventure my disconnect from myself had followed me, and I think that it lead to me making those stupid choices that I did. I don’t know if this will be totally right for me. But I wanted to give it a try anyway and see if this was the thing that made me happy or not. If it is, then I’ll go from there. And if it isn’t then I suppose I could experiment a little more and see what comes of it. So… would you help me with picking out my clothes and stuff, I really wasn’t kidding about that part.”
Phew! Like ripping off a bandage, Du was happy to get that part over and done with. Granted, this would likely mean that they would have to shop for undergarments for her –giving Isis a perfect opportunity to get some revenge on her for her little teases and pushes. Oh well, at least she wouldn’t have to go about this alone, and now that Isis was on the same page as her, she could help Du blend in with the rest of the girls more. It was probably going to be a long and expensive shopping list for Du, but that was alright, she had been saving for stuff like this after all. Du leaned back and looked over at Rose. ”Have you found something that wets your shoppers appetite yet, Rose?” Du asked with a cheery undertone. Du turned back to looking and then suddenly let out a delighted gasp and pulled out what was probably the most girly, feminine bag that the world had ever seen and raised it above her head and looked over to Zero. ”Oh my Gosh~ Zero! I totally found the perfect bag for you! It’s totally you and totally fabulous!!

The Mega Gardevoir nodded sadly as Atona seemed to agree, though making it clear that while they were similar, the two were very different. "I know, but to be honest, that's what worries me," Nova responded, as Zero wiped the blood from his nose. None of the other trainers seemed to notice, so the boy simply continued on and followed his companions into the clothing store. "I'm afraid that he might not bring himself to do the same..."
On the less somber side of things however, Isis had finally managed to tear the conversation away from the steamy and back to the matter at hand, practically dragging Rose and leading them all to the clothing store. The girls looked around and Isis headed directly for the section containing the bags the blonde needed to replace her shredded one. Zero raised a brow a bit as she hastily put back the first one she found though, despite seeming to have been quite fond of the black leather. "Dumizi's right, Isis" he commented, as Du returned the item to their friend's hands. "I think it looks quite nice, personally." He offered something resembling a smile before he turned to head over to another section of the store. "I'm going to head over to the men's section and see if there's anything I could use, try not to leave the store without me."
As Zero split off from the group, Nova followed him, leaving Isis and Du alone to talk for a bit while he looked around. He didn't need anything fancy, at minimum just a spare shirt or two he could wear without any fuss. He picked a few up, of course, but even he couldn't help but indulge himself a bit, collecting a few articles he thought would have been nice to wear later on. The Gardevoir at his side held up each item as he picked them up, keeping them in a neat, floating stack as they walked around. By the time he returned, the girls had finished and Du was suddenly presenting a bag to him, from the other side of the store. "...What kind of guy do you think I am, Dumuzi?" He had to ask, after having to turn his head away in the middle of laughter.
He quickly rejoined them however, looking to Isis, unsure if she'd found a bag or not. Zero couldn't help but glance off to side though, somewhat nervously as he had Nova silently act as a relay to mentally speak with the blond. "Hey... why don't you let me pay for the bag? That way you can spend the money the guy gave you on something else you'd want." After both Du's previous teasing and his own uncertainties, the silver-haired trainer couldn't help but find himself unable to ask her normally.

Rose stood idly by as the other girls looked around. Essentially, she was just the guide here. Shopping wasn't entirely ... her kind of thing. She poked around at a few things while staying close, but still felt a bit awkward. It was fun- don't get her wrong - it's just she wasn't quite as hyped about it.
Fynx smirked as Atona thanked her. "Must be a strain for a fighting type like you to use Psychic." she commented, trying to keep up some chatter unrelated to ... the memory leak. While her own trainer didn't seem as interested in actually shopping, the fox already spotted some things that might interest her trainer. Or at least look cute on her. She hoped Rose wasn't feeling too left out. "It feels a bit odd, you know? I grew up and went through a lot with Rose being my trainer, but now I feel like I might be her trainer." Fynx commented with a bit of a chuckle. Or perhaps she was just projecting some motherly feels for the girl. Not that... she ever had children before. The delphox chalked it up to an instinct.
Rose tilted her head as she noticed Isis investigate a leather bag. She didn't understand why the blonde was so hesitant about the bag - it looked sturdy and nice. The red head didn't comment, though, looking at a rack of hats nearby. She remembered trying on a bunch of hats every time her mom took her shopping. Rose never ended up getting a hat, though - it was all just for fun. The red haired female blinked as Dumuzi spoke up to her, asking about her 'shopping apetite'. "Huh? Oh... uh, I dunno. I'm really not that into shopping for clothes - last time i was in a store for clothes, it was for an outfit for tanabata. And that's because Fynx insisted." Rose replied with a sheepish smile.

✿ ❀ Isis smiled uneasily as Du insisted that she shouldn't second guess her choice. Zero seemed to agree, commenting that he thought it looked nice. "It's not so much me second guessing as wanting to avoid any reasons to bring back the discussion of whether I would look good in leather....." Isis muttered with defeated expression. Still, she had to admit that she liked the bag a lot, so she held onto it just in case they didn't find anything else. Isis nodded to Zero as he let them know he was heading to the men's section, and she looked through the bags along with Du, not realizing that they were moving farther away from the others, enough so that Du felt comfortable enough to speak up about the decision she had made. When she grabbed Isis' attention, the blonde looked over with a smile. "Hm?" She hummed curiously, somewhat surprised by Du's hushed tone. As she explained herself though, Isis began to understand why, though that didn't stop the excited grin from slowly growing over her face. She knew it was probably hard to finally tell someone, and that she didn't want a lot of attention being drawn to it, but Isis still pulled the smaller girl into a bear hug, grinning from ear to ear. "I knew you weren't kidding~ I'd love to help support you in any way I can, okay? Oh this is going to be so much fun!~" Isis did her best to tone her excited squeaks down but it was a really hard and conscious effort.
Atona glanced to Nova as she explained the comparison she'd made between himself and Zero, and with her explanation, Atona realized that her worry was not for him, but Zero. Now things made more sense. "....." The silence from Atona was palpable in his thoughts as he debated what to say on the matter. "Sadly enough.... That's something only he can decide. The best we can do is keep him in good company, and give him reasons to stay in said company. Exclusion will only worsen his condition." He explained, and sadly did so with the voice of experience. He looked at Fynx with a light smile as she tried to tease him, suggesting that using psychic was probably a strain for him. "Actually it feels rather similar to aura, but admittedly I forget that they require different.... Muscles." He looked confused for a moment, trying to figure out if there was a better word for it, but there really wasn't. Psychic powers were draining on the mind, and gave him headaches if used in excess, whereas aura sapped his physical energy even though his muscles themselves weren't sore or tired. In fact, using aura itself felt like he had to flex a muscle without physically flexing a muscle. It was hard to describe, and now that the thought had just occurred to him, he was lost in puzzled thought, at least until Fynx commented on how she felt like she was now Rose's trainer. Atona chuckled. "I know the feeling." Atona chuckled, glancing to Isis. Of course, he had originally trained alongside a different Isis entirely, and then came back to this one to train some more, but while training under her, he felt a gradual shift that he was just going along with what she wanted him to do, and mostly just watching out for her.
As Dumuzi asked if Rose had found anything she liked, but surprisingly Rose explained that she wasn't a bit shopper. "Really...?" Isis asked, genuinely surprised. Du gave a surprised squeak when Isis pulled her into a bear hug but soon found herself giggling a little bit when Isis proclaimed that this was going to be so much fun. ”I take it you’re in the mood for a makeover?” Du asked with a hint of amusement in her voice. She tried to keep things a little more low key so that she didn’t draw too much attention from the others. ”I guess all I need now would be a doctor who’s willing to hook me up.” Du imaged that in a city as large as Lumoise that there was bound to be a doctor somewhere that she could look to for what she wanted. Still, it was a bit of a daunting thought to go and search for someone who would help you in that way. At least Isis was more than in her corner regarding this, so she wasn’t feeling at all intimidated or scared at the prospect. Du suddenly gave a deep, defeated sigh. ”Now all I need to do is figure out how to tell my mom…” This was going to be an interesting trip back home and that was for sure. Not only was she going to have to take her lumps about stealing her brothers pokemon and running out on the family without saying a word, now she was going to have to tell her mom that she wanted to be a girl. Du hoped her mother had a sense of humour about all of this… that and a good plan for heart attack emergencies.
With that off her chest, Du was now happy to involve everyone she could into the conversations and was quick to poke fun at Zero in a playful manner. Du grinned at the responses that she had gotten from her little ribbing of her new acquaintance. ”Well, seeing as I only met you a few minutes ago – I’m going to say that you’re a rather adventurous, stylish man who isn’t afraid of expressing himself, even if that was in a rather flamboyant way.” Du stuck out her tongue playfully at Zero when she finished before returning the bag to where she had found it. She was pleased that Zero at least had a sense of humour about himself and that he wasn’t so insecure as to take a bite out of her for such a tease. Once the bag was returned to the original spot, Du came over and rejoined the others. When the mention of Jewelry and nail polish was announced, Du’s eyes lit up with excitement. ”That’s a great place to start!” Du replied, clapping her hands lightly. ”Though it does sound to me like Rose is one of those ‘I know what I want so I’ll run in and get it’ sort of shoppers.” Du certainly wasn’t that kind of shopper, she was very much a ‘take your time and browse’ sort of girl. Her brother and old man would hate it when Du went shopping with his mom. They would take forever in the store, looking to see what they could find and what sales were good and which quality was the best. She always had a blast with her mom when she went shopping, and she could always get an honest answer for what she had selected as well. ”Maybe we should start with asking which contest you were going to try entering first? We could try and find something that would suit that, or we could go and get something that would be good for all of the contests? What do you think, Isis?”
Niamh was having a good time with her new friends, they seemed to chat about everything and yet nothing at all and that made it all the more fun! There was something that caught Niamh’s attention though, and that was this strange relationship between the Lucario and the Delphox. The other Psychic type seemed to be on friendly terms with each other as well and Niamh watched with some level of curiosity as the two foxes interacted with each other. Niamh’s tail began to wag as she looked on at the pair, still holding on and keeping close to her mostly blind friend as she did so. When they got close enough to Fynx and Atona her tail started to wag harder. ”Are you two going to make eggs?” She asked the duo. Her innocent and cute smile would hopefully keep anything too negative from happening to her. Zero didn't quite catch Isis' comment on the leather, which was likely better for both of them as he started on his way to the men's section. On his way back, Du seemed to find something that fit Zero's character to a T, holding up the most feminine bag up above her head. Both the trainer and the Gardevoir at his side couldn't help but laugh at the sight, though when Isis attested that it really did scream him, Nova was clearly having more fun that he was with it. "Well, if you think I'm all sunshine and rainbows, I'd hate to see your version of dark and moody."
At that point, the topic at hand had shifted from the bag and back to the matter of shopping. With Rose apparently inexperienced at shopping for pleasure, the two girls with them began deciding they needed to teach the redhead in their ways, though with the help of Nova, Zero brought Isis' attention back to him for a moment. She happily accepted his offer, wrapping around him in a hug that spawned a light blush on the boy's face, and his eyes dashing to the side. The Gardevoir couldn't help but smile softly at the sight, thinking that, at least in this instance, he seemed to be making progress in recovery.
And then the Sylveons happened. The instant the words left Niamh's mouth, Nova straightened up stiff, her lips locking together in an attempt to stifle her amusement. She failed wonderfully, as she almost immediately broke into audible laughter, unable to stop and having to lean her head into Zero's shoulder to hide her face. The last thing she wanted was to actually see Atona of Fynx's gaze while she was just short of rolling around the floor. She couldn't even pull her head up when Tam Lin suddenly materialized on her shoulder, giving the Gardevoir a string of compliments and overall hitting on her. Though, it wasn't until a little after his little speech that she was finally able to calm down, and once again stand up straight, wiping the tears from her eyes and not realizing the light blush on her face.
When she finally turned her gaze to the tiny, orange mouse on her shoulder, her laughter was at its end, and she was simply getting the last of the giggles from her system and clearing her vision when she turned to Du, who it was safe to assume was Tam Lim's trainer. "H-Hey, Du? Du, why is there a suave little mouse on my shoulder?" Just that statement alone got a few more laughs out of Nova, but eventually she did fully settle down.

Having expected his answer, Alexandra could only laugh and shake her head good-naturedly when he said as much. Marx was just an optimistic and jovial person, she couldn't recall a memory where Marx hadn't been smiling-- or at the very least, one where he didn't have a particularly pleased expression. She'd challenge Maylene and use her three obvious choices against the fighting-type expert: Amethyst, Comet, and Xion. From there she'd... check in with home? Do some more training? Maybe she'd challenge another gym leader and then head back to Hoenn? She was still contemplating when Marx spoke up, a question on his tongue, and naturally she turned to look up at him. "Sinnoh," she replied easily, not seeming to mind answering a question that had already been asked of her. "If you ever have the time, you should come and visit. It's rather nice this time of the year."
The young woman became aware of the sound of feet, fast approaching, and turned back to check on the noise, only to snap her head forward as Basil, quickly followed by Xion, ran past them. Marx called out to his starter, warning him not to get too far ahead, and after a moment she did the same, "Xion, slow down!" She didn't want to risk losing her, or any of her pokemon, in a city this large, where far too many accidents and 'what-if's' could become reality.
Xion, who was only slightly out of breath, faltered in her speed, slowing to a light jog and then a full-on halt behind Basil. She turned back around to wave at her trainer, assuring her that she heard and understood, before she looked back at Basil, smile visible. "Mm, nope," she shook her head. "Though I'm sure that, if we look around, we can find out."
