With a stretch and a yawn, Mala awoke, feeling refreshed. She sat there for a lingering moment, wondering what exactly she should do.

Van opened the door a crack to peek in and see if Mala was awake or not. "Have a good nap?" he said with a smile as he walked in the room.

((Now Riley gets to have issues too from me and 'nator's 1x1 rp. And if we thought Jaquel's family, or Larai needed therapy...Ha. Of the original vampires (Alek, Val, Angel, and now Riley) and their four children combined, I think Riley and once kid is coming out without the need of extensive therapy. And we're only forty pages in. >_>;; ))
Van's smile slowly faded as he read the extensive soap opera poor Riley's life had become. It seemed he had to put his foot down and make everyone get therapy.

Mala's face grew incredibly pale as she read Riley's letter. "Oh dear lord..." she muttured, completely rid of her good mood now.

Van was speechless. He just folded the letter back up, calmly setting it aside before giving Mala a comforting hug.
