   "Hey, sorry I'm late. I swear I would've been on time but I felt like every slow poke in the area decided to drive at the same time as me," she called out as she came into the room.
He got to his feet recognizing the voice and gazed at her wonder. She came to a halt when she realized the person in the room was not the one she was expecting.
"Hey," she said, after a moment.
"Hi," he replied.
"You're not some dream or illusion, are you?"
"No," he said, his voice shaking slightly as if he was wanting to ask the same time.

  "Rise and shine, princess," called out Negan as he opened the bedroom door, letting the hallway light into the dark room.
"Do you realize what time it is?" she growled, briefly glancing at the clock before closing her eyes again defying waking up.
"I know, I know. You aren't one to get up this early... but I got a special treat. Just for you."
She opened her eyes as she turned to look at Negan fully.
He chuckled seeing the sleepy glare, "Good morning, love."
"Your 'special treat' better be worth it," she said as she pushed herself up into a sitting position.
"Oh, trust me. This is worth it," he said, walking over to sit on the edge of the bed, pulling the cover off a plate of pancakes and fresh fruit. "And maybe... if my schedule is accommodating... I might be able to give you another treat."
She stared at the pancakes in surprise. It had been weeks since they had last been able to find fruit that had rotted or been contaminated. "Pancakes, first," she said, grabbing the plate from him. "Then we'll see about the rest."
"Fair enough," he said, smirking at her again before planting a quick kiss on her forehead. "You know where to find me."
She watched him get up and walk out, closing the door behind him. Without looking, she reached over and switched the lamp on the bedstand on and smiled down at the blueberry smiley face she knew Negan had specifically made for her on the pancakes. Definitely was worth waking up early for.

Yesterday I played a one-shot with a few of my Critter and associated friends. It was nice to play as my wood elf again and see what she's like at her higher level. Dice rolls on both the enemy's end and my end weren't always so friendly in the beginning but in the end, I made some major impact towards the end during the final boss fight. Probably would've killed her if we had another round at her before she Dimension Door'd away. Pretty pleased about being the MVP for that moment.
