"Ah, the park, of course. People come from all over the world just to see Wela Volcano Park! Nothing else like it, if I do say so myself but I may be biased as a native." The woman said with a laugh. "So you need to get to Konikoni after huh? That's a fair walk as it's on the other end of the island but I think I have a recommendation for that." With that she turned around to pull a pamphlet off the wall, turning back to face Monique and sliding it towards her across the counter. "Ever heard of Ride Pokemon?" She asked.
The pamphlet had a variety of Pokemon on the front including Sharpedo and Charizard as well as a trainer in safety gear. Inside it shown other 'Ride Pokemon' and described how they are specially trained Pokemon used to get around the islands while doing as little harm to the environment as possible. The pamphlet detailed why the Poke Ride exists, going into detail on Alola's strict laws to keep invasive flora and fauna away from the islands which is why they frown on trainers using their own Pokemon to Fly or Surf.
"If you'd like I can arrange for you a Charizard Ride Pokemon and have it waiting for you at the volcano's peak. Many tourists like this so they don't have to climb back down the mountain, others use them both ways. You can ride it all the way to Konikoni with no need to bring it anywhere as it can get back to its roost on its own. How does that sound?" She asked with a smile.

Monique looked at the pamphlet with some curiosity. She recalled Mama Kehla saying something about Ride Pokémon when she was a kid, that they were a sign of how Alolans liked to help each other. Of course, by her time, there was no need for them. The wastelands were too dangerous to ride around or over for most people; after all, New Po was walled. There was no sea to surf. And Flower City was designed to not require Pokémon for navigation anyway. She let out a sigh and forced herself to bring her thoughts back to the present day. She had her own Ride Pokémon in other regions—recalling especially her flight out of the Pyrite Chasm—but the whole attitude to biosecurity made a lot of sense to her. After all, if they weren't this strict... She knew what that led to. Not anything good.
"That's probably better than using my Honchkrow," Monique admitted. "Even though I think the Honchkrow line is native to Alola somewhere?" She thought she'd read that at some point. "Plus, I bet it's stronger at carrying my belongings." She flashed a smile at the woman, showing she was quite pleased at the level of customer service and thoughtfulness. Unless she's just scared of having a Rotom Pokédex go off on her on the spot...
