With her coat coloured like the night sky and the mark of the moon sits upon her hip, she is certainly a striking creature. And yet her manner is reserved and contemplative. A kind lioness at heart she finds it hard to express herself easily and as such, has fewer friends than perhaps she might. But those that do take the time and patience discover a gentle and caring, if sometimes awkward lioness within. She is deeply religious and often turns to the gods when she can not turn to mortals, as they are always there, always listen and don't tell her to stop being stupid. Erstwhile and honest she fully believes in the gods and in the pride.

Originally a rogue she followed her Goddess to the Tuait. There she took the role of priestess and lived very happily among the shrines. But when the pride dissolved she was lost and adrift, unable to understand what had happened.
After wandering the Roguelands for some time she was spotted by a Sith. Saved from a Sith attack by Captain Lucivar and his reaver band, she is brought into the Viking pride for her protection, as the Sith leopard continued to stalk her even after the rescue.
Accepting Lucivar's offer to become his thrall she goes back to the pride with him where she is given to his mate-to-be as a guide, since Mbali is a blind freeborn. Mwana now acts as Mbali's eyes and is her constant companion, giving Mbali a brand new freedom and acting as a kind of passive guard against a Captain with eyes on Mbali, the dark-natured Ragnvard. Being a thrall also keeps her safe from Ragnvard's attention and any other unsavoury character and gives her a measure of security as she can report back to Lucivar and has his complete protection.
Even though she is Lucivar's thrall she is treated more like a freeborn as she voluntarily joined the pride. She helps out around the den and sticks close to Mbali's side. Lucivar has given her all the freedom he can and will support her when she has her litter. Depending on if it is a fling or if she falls in love with a single male, he will either claim the cubs or expect the father to do the same so they can grow up as freeborn.

Shy and incredibly gentle. She was not cut out for life as a rogue.

Once Princess and heir in her home pride, her younger sister schemed to have her murdered, wishing both the crown and Aoife's betrothed. The attempt failed, but Aoife fled after narrowly avoiding being drowned, accompanied only by her Lady servant. The pair struggled to survive in the roguelands, but one day, while her companion was out hunting, Aoife was discovered by a Captain called Ragnvard and snatched as his prize. She lived under his tyranical rule as his slave more than a thrall. She saw the very worst of Ragnvard. She met and fell for a newly-made Reaver and unwittingly bore his cubs.
Family situation:
Aoife, the mother, was kidnapped out of the roguelands by Ragnvard several seasons ago. She was trapped under his paw as his thrall and suffered badly, taking the brunt of the Captain's temper, being his punching bag and slave. Underfed and sick she wouldn't have survived much longer.
That was when Tendaji met and fell in love with her, and she for him. Their relationship was kept completely secret, and as their attachment grew Aoife started to believe she could escape from Ragnvard in time. But then she discovered she was pregnant and knew it was not Ragnvard's litter. She fled in terror, straight into Tendaji's den and begged him to save their babies. Of course ragnvard was enraged that his thrall was missing but Aoife managed to remain hidden until the litter was born.
Now with cubs to feed the family are about to be discovered and Ragnvard has every intention of taking back his property and the cubs.
The next stage of the plot:
Ragnvard will confront Tendaji with every intention of killing the other male, just how me and Zosie work out the encounter is yet to be decided, but Ragnvard will be thwarted and the cubs will stay with Tendaji and Aoife. Tendaji also takes Aoife as his wife before the cubs are born, elevating her and their cubs to freeborn status, which will be formerly recognised after the battle.

She was a quiet and shy cub, nervous around strangers but bubbly and fun when with her close friends and family. She loves all her parents though did find the teasing and taunts difficult to handle until she grew old enough to handle them. She didn't truly realise her family situation wasn't the norm until she began to socialise with others, the cruelty all young ones are capable of was hard for her to bear, making her more withdrawn than she would naturally have been during her youth. It took years for her to regain her balance, but she never stopped loving all her family and is utterly devoted to them. Now as an adult and having left the family structure, she is seeking her own place in the world, nervous about getting hurt but willing to take the risk for the reward of eventually starting her own family.
Current:
Zabuni has lived a full if not very exciting life before becoming a thrall in the stormborn. A mature female in her prime she is calm, sensible and sweet natured. She belongs to Holmgeir and Soma and acts as both their cubsitter, servant and friend. Originally captured by Holmgeir for his wife the first time she was pregnant, Zabuni and Soma had formed a close, sisterly friendship though Buni has never forgotten her station in life. Mostly she is also content, for Holmgeir is scary but honerable, and Soma is kind and gentle. The cubs are a joy and she now has Soma's third litter under-paw. Her only regret is that she has never had cubs of her own.

Curling her tail round her paws, the young cub trembled, slim frame curled up tight under the bush. Tucking her head against her short, stubby forelegs she couldn't hold them in any more. Body shaking as great heartbroken sobs trembled through her. Why.... why did they say such nasty things? Why did they call her names? Mom and Dad loved her... they did! She knew they did! They had too.... The tiny, pleading voice in her mind begged desperately. Ears pressing back against pale fur, vivid green eyes squeezed shut tight as a sharp pain pierced her heart. Tears matted white fur, streaking down thin cheeks to decorate the dust at her paws. "M-mom...... Dad..... where are you.. where are you..."
Darkness surged forwards, sweeping through her, tainting everything as it flooded her chest with a deep, searing tightness and burned at her eyes. Limbs trembled with the force of the grief that overwhelmed her, forcing tiny paws to dig into the ground, clutching at the earth as the darkness threatened to drag her spinning into the depths of despair. "M-mom.... I love you.. please, please, I love you..... say they are wrong.. please! They have to be wrong! You love me! You and daddy both love me! You said so... Papa and Mama love me too!! You told me, you promised! Please.... please.... " Curling up in a tight little ball, body shaking with the force of her heart wrenching sobs, the tiny cub trembled and cried. Breath escaping in strained gasps as a high, pain-filled keening slipped from parted maw. White fur streaked with muck from the brush, rocking slowly, back and forth, back and forth. So alone, so very alone with the sounds of childish taunts and sneering adult voices echoing in her ears.
"Your mom doesn't love your dad, your mom doesn't love you. You're weird, your family is weird. No one loves you... you aren't good enough for your mom, you made her go with that rogue. That filthy rogue. It's your fault you know, it's all your fault. It has always been your fault. If only you hadn't been born your mom wouldn't be sick! You did that to her, you hurt her. You made her ill. Stealing her life. Selfish! You're so selfish! Selfish child. Disgusting child."Gasping, the pain in her chest a living, breathing thing fighting to get out, she panted harshly, unable to catch her breath, unable to see as tears streamed from closed eyes. Yet even behind the lids the voices remained, echoing, taunting, tearing, cruel, hateful, jealous. "Why don't you live with dad like the others? What did I do wrong?
