Exeggcute seemed to prepare to attack, but Kiwi must have gone into battle mode or something, because it quickly darted forward with a Quick Attack. Exeggcute shook itself, then retaliated with Egg Bomb, only to get pummeled by a Metal Claw. It only took one more hit for it to collapse, the eggs toppling over, all unconscious. Mel sighed softly. ”S’pose it does need a bit of training,” she mused, recalling it, and walking over to pick up Kiwi. The robot still seemed rather fine, despite the two hard hits. Mel glanced back at Brian, recalling the cybun. ”I’ll go heal them. We can try training on the way. Maybe there will be some trainers trying to do the same…?” she suggested. Brian nodded, shoving his hands in his pockets and moving to stand guard with Lucy and Phia at the edge of town, while Mel ran back to heal her pokemon so they could continue on.

Dropping off the suit wasn’t much of a problem, though the owner did seem to throw a bit of a fuss over it being wet. It wasn’t damaged though and that was really all Lafayete cared about as he left. Soon he and Dova were landing down (for once, rather gracefully) in Cyallge City once more. It was kind of surprising to him that he hadn’t hit the gym while he was in the city, though he had been detoured almost immediately after touching down so… maybe it wasn’t too surprising.
Before he made his way for the gym, he wanted to do some shopping. He returned Dova so that she wouldn’t cause a ruckus before heading for the pokemart nearby. He had a bit of savings to his name and after a bit of browsing, was coming away with a healthy amount of goods that provide him some future assistance for the other tasks he’d have. Once he’d found a way to make everything fit (he’d needed to grab another bag just to hold the other half of the stuff) he was off in the direction of the gym to take the leader on.

With his things sorted and stored accordingly, Lafayette made his way for the gym. He expected it to be simple, given the training his team had been doing while he was away plus all his current gym battle accomplishments but was caught offguard at the sight of the towering climbing wall before him. Boy, these gym leaders really liked to make trainers work up a sweat, didn’t they? This was different than in Kanto at least.
With a shake of his head, Lafayette slung his bags over his shoulder and started his way up. It was no skin off his nose if he had to climb; physical labor? Hardly an issue. In fact, he might’ve been a little more disappointed at the lack of a challenge that came with this climbing wall; sure, it couldn’t be too difficult least it screw over trainers that weren’t as physically able but he certainly would’ve enjoyed a bit more of a skill check. Oh well.
It didn’t take him but a couple of minutes to finally reach the top, swiping off only a little bit of sweat as he adjusted his hat once more and moved for the gym arena. He paused and stared blankly at the gentleman on the other side; what the hell was up with his hair? ”Ah, I see another challenger for a badge, right?” Lafayette just nodded his head, starting to fish out a pokeball.
"Lets jus’ make it a quickie mate. Got places ta be." Lafayette simply remarked as he unleashed Noah. He really didn’t want to listen to the whole spiel thing right now.

Gym Leader Grant
Grant returned his defeated Tyrunt, congratulating the challenger on winning the match. He then approached, Lala's prize in hand. He certainly was in a rush, that Dewott of his had hit hard fast, guaranteeing that each battle lasted only a single turn. He handed over a Cliff badge and a tm for one of his favorite moves. Once that was done, Grant left to tend to his pokemon, but not before alerting Lala to the slide behind him; in case he wanted an easy way down.
Lafayette Received - Cliff Badge - TM80 Rock Slide + 30 exp. given to Noah
Badge got. Lafayette just ‘hm’ed and nodded as he was handed his winnings, shoving them away with the other discs in his possession before snapping the badge into the badge case. He gave a little wave goodbye to Grant before turning to scale back down the wall as oppose to take the short cut, preferring the brief amount of exercise the action allotted him. In much the same amount of time, he was back at the bottom of the gym and heading for the door out.
Now he had to figure out where to go next; he could head off to Shalour and get the third badge as he had been doing or possibly go for a fourth badge somewhere. He was leaning more towards that option; his team was getting strong and he honestly wanted a proper challenge. Sure, his team was probably on par with the third gym leader here, but he also had some decent type advantages on them as well which made the battle unbalanced. Oh sure, he could avoid using them but that was hardly fun, or worthwhile.

As he mulled over his options he absently fumbled with his hat, gaze focused everywhere but in front of him which led to the second collision of the day. He dropped his bag in response, nearly toppling over the individual in question. Lafayette caught himself from falling to the ground, though the shorter man wasn’t as fortunate, his own items he’d been carrying (that was a rather large case, what was it an instrument?) hitting the ground with loud thuds as well.
"Sorreh mate, didn’ see ya down there. " Lafayette apologized, adjusting his hat a moment before offering a hand out to the man. The fellow simply scowled, adjusting some rather thick framed glasses before pushing himself to his feet without Lafayette’s assistance, swiping the dust from his clothing.
"Watch where you are going." Was the harsh retort the Aussie received, resulting in a frown.
"I said sorreh mate." Lafayette repeated, though his tone took a harsher turn. The man seemed to catch this as well, his own gaze narrowing as he met Lafayette’s with a sharp glare.
"Keep your apologies to yourself. Watch where you are going." He repeated once more, own tone hinting that Lafayette best head these words or there would be trouble. Like … a threat, or something, which was laughable. Lafayette just rolled his eyes. The guy looked like the type to make things a problem even if they didn’t need to be. Instead of attempting to apologize again, the blonde simply glanced off to the side and muttered under his breath.
The man, who’d been busying himself to retrieve his case froze in the action, expression ambiguous as he snapped his attention back in Lafayette’s direction. He seemed to study him a moment before straightening, extended hand clenching at his side.
"Excusez-moi?" He remarked, hand raising and adjusting the frames of the glasses on his face. "You have a lot of nerve to say such things, you backwoods inbred." The man remarked in a sharp tone. That caught Lafayette off-guard and he stopped in his tracks of turning around and just walking away, instead turning back with a rather spiteful expression on his face.
"The ******** you jus’ say mate?" He demanded. The man didn’t seem fazed by the force of his tone, going right back to focusing on straightening himself up from his fall. "You should learn to speak properly, instead of using your vulgar language." Was the remark he received back. Eventually he finished adjusting himself, looking up at Lafayette with an unamused stare.
"Though you do not look ze intelligent type. It is no surprise you do not sound like you can speak ze basic english." Was this… was this guy really insulting him? Really? Like they’d met all twelve seconds ago, due to a brief accident and now he was… insulting him? Wonderful. It shouldn’t have irked him so much but the way the fellow talked reminded him of his mother who was a mess of a lot nicer. He supposed encountering someone on the same line as her but rude was… annoying.
"An’ ya sound like a ********’ whacka spewin’ ya shite.” Lafayette retorted, not even hiding his agitation. Who the ******** did this short b*****d think he was?

Soon Elizabeth had finally arrived back at Cyllage City once again, deciding to explore around the city a bit. She had only stayed long enough to battle the Gym Leader, but since she has done that already, she can take her time here. So she started to walk around the city, noticing the beach on the west side and wanted to go check it out. Elizabeth made her way over and down to the sand, the ocean just steps away as she smiled. But then she thought that she spotted something in the water, getting closer until a Milotic had popped out of the water. She was stunned and amazed to see that it was a Milotic, her first time seeing one so up close in person. She knew that they are supposed to be the most beautiful pokemon ever, having seen one on TV and thinking it was beautiful then. But now that she is seeing one for herself in person, it was just beyond her imagination at how truly magnificent Milotic really is. Just then the Milotic had noticed Elizabeth, swimming over before waving her tail as if to say hello. "Hello there. It's very nice to meet you." she said back to them, waving. The Milotic was nodding her head back in agreement, smiling. Now Elizabeth was thinking about something, wishing that she could have a Milotic of her own. "I was wondering, would you possibly want to be with me, getting to travel around and such? You don't have to if you don't want to." she had said, asking the other while hoping that they would want to. But if they don't, then she would just respect their wish after all. The Milotic thought about it before she nodded her head happily, her tail waving as well. "Really? That's great, thank you! As for your name, I would like to call you Amaryllis." Elizabeth had said back to the Milotic who cried out happily and approved the name. So she then got a pokeball out and had gently tossed it at the Milotic, moving three times before clicking and now officially having caught her.

Ashley of course, didn’t seem to care that he was upsetting or agitating this strange man who had so hap hazardously run into him. He was already agitated as it was, to have some buffoon running into him and knocking him down didn’t do much to make him want to be friendly.
Of course, the conversation erupted into harsh words and was taking a turn towards probably not good endings, though Ashley still didn’t care. The man had been on the right track in trying to just walk away but had now roped himself into this mess by continuing the spat. Ashley scoffed at the insult that the man attempted against him, eyes rolling.
"Are you deaf as well as dumb, monsieur? Shall I spell my words out for you?" Ashley jeered, beginning to speak in a slower tone as he stared at the man. "Learn to speak a real language. Not trash." He spoke in a slow fashion as though he were attempting to spell something out for a child.
That certainly set the man off. In a moment, Ashley found a fist thrust in his face, a finger practically stabbing him between the eyes as the Aussie but invaded his personal bubble. Had he had the ability to breath fire, Ashley was sure the man would’ve been billowing smoke from his nose. Which really, in his mind, was a humorous thought and probably spurred him more in his antagonizing.
"I said ********’ sorreh mate. If’n ya got shite in ya ears, that’s not my problem." The Aussie retorted, looking ready to snap something. Ashley simply continued his unamused stare, not at all phased at the man’s threatening demeanor. Actually, it was kind of thrilling.
"Je suis désolé, I could not recognize ze apology with that backward accent that you have." Ashley replied nonchalantly, continuing forth with the insults. Any normal human being would’ve stopped, dropping the conversation, and leaving before something terrible ensued. Ashley was not a normal human being. He turned his gaze away from the Aussie, adjusting his glasses once. "Pray tell, where are you from exactly?" It sounded like a genuine inquiry which once more, caught the blonde who was steaming in front of him off guard. It didn’t last long though as the fellow stepped back, still staring at him dubiously.
"Don’ think that’s any of ya business." Was the retort he got, which didn’t surprise Ashley one bit. He simply adjusted his glasses again as he scoffed.
"Non? Then I shall hazard a guess." Ashley stated, dropping his arms to fold them over his chest. He took a moment to look the blonde over, eyebrow quirking as though he were taking in some wild specimen. "You are built like a truck and seem to have all ze intelligence of one. I would guess mm…" He tilted his head. "Ze Safari Zone." The man stared blankly at him, looking even more confused by this remark.
"Wha’?"
Ashley shrugged, hands splaying out to his sides as a slight smirk crossed his face. "Well it is clear that your mother must be a Kangaskhan, non? You are a violent like ze child of one." Wow that was… a low blow.

"Yeh jus’ call my ma’ a pokie?" Lafayette asked. It was hard not to sound dumbfounded at the remark and even more so to have to ask confirmation about it. The shorter man looked amused for a moment, though his expression quickly changed to a somber one.
"It is a fair assessment, non? I think it is correct." The French man waved a hand through the air in response as though trying to emphasize his logic. Lafayette just continued staring in dumb founded shock. No really, he’d been insulted for his accent before and his manner of speech, but this was certainly the first time that he’d had his family insulted; let alone have someone call his mother a pokemon. And that riled him up rather badly. Really badly. You didn’t talk about Lafayette’s mother; whether you knew her or not. And certainly, not like this fellow was.
"Listen here yeh ********’ dipshit, yeh say somethin’ ‘bout my ma again-" Lafayette started up, tone practically a growl as he addressed the man. Once more, the man didn’t seem to be bothered by the threatening manner Lafayette was putting on, looking unenthused about the response as he glanced off to the side.
"I do not blame you for your response. It must be a very tragic existence to know your father did a Kangaskhan. I understand though that those in ze… ah, backwoods have a difficulty in telling ze difference?" Lafayette tensed, fist balling up.
" Mange de la merde." The Aussie hissed, this time catching the French man off guard. He started at Lafayette a moment as though trying to comprehend what he’d said before a sneer of a smile crossed his face. "Oh, I am surprised. You do speak a sophisticated language." He tilted his head just a bit, gaze narrowing. "It is unfortunate that it is still nothing but ze gutter speak." The man rolled his shoulders, head tilting to the side. "Is that all you know of such a fine language? Vulgarities? Pity, I was almost impressed."
"Je t'emmerde." This was probably the last warning this fellow was getting in regards. The man just quirked an eyebrow again, still giving that sly sort of condescending look. "Non merci monsieur. I am not in ze mood. You should get a better mating call." Annnddd that did it. Clearly there was no using words so Lafayette went the next best route. With a blink of hesitation, he’d balled a fist up and struck straight for the French man’s face. Hopefully those glasses were thick enough…

Elizabeth was feeling so extremely happy now to have her very own Milotic, a pokemon so beautiful that she had only dreamed about having one before. It had made her glad that she went down to this beach at least before deciding to go back to the city. She was walking around the streets again when she thought that she saw someone familiar up ahead. So she went closer, only to see that it was Ashley, surprised and glad to see them again after parting ways in Santalune City. Elizabeth was about to call out to him, only to realize that apparently he was having an argument with someone. It would be better if she did not interrupt them, especially if it was something important. But as she stood and watched, she could hear the two get heated up as she wondered what started it in the first place. Suddenly she saw as the blonde tanned guy was going to punch Ashley in the face, shocked and scared for him.

Ashley had a sneaking position that he was going to get hit. This Aussie seemed like the sort of brash individual to speak with his fists the moment things escalated beyond his ability to use words. Not that it was a good thing to invoke the punching wrath of some random individual you’d encountered; but he was certainly amused at how easily it happened.
Normally, if he hadn’t seen it coming, his glasses probably would’ve been shattered in half and he’d have been unconscious on the ground; in this situation, though he went along with the punch, still taking some of the force. His glasses were knocked off, they went flying as he took a step back to try and lessen the force, though he was sure he felt something crack and felt a trickle of blood from his nose.
Ashley stumbled but caught himself, a hand immediately rising to gingerly brush the impacted area, cheek bone under his right eye. He winced and it took him a moment but he straightened up, dark eyes narrowing as he stared at the Aussie in front of him. The man was still glaring daggers, not at all phased at his assault.
"That was pathetic." Ashley remarked in a low tone, frowning as he rubbed gingerly at the fresh wound. "I get ze feeling that your mother was in fact ze dominant one. It does make a lot of sense." He gave the Aussie an ominous look, though didn’t get much of a chance to gauge the response; the Aussie was already reeling to hit him again. Oops.
This time he stepped back again and avoided the second punch sent his way, having to maneuver off to the side to do so, wincing at the pain in his cheek. He certainly didn’t want this man breaking his nose; which is why it was problematic that the man kept swinging. He was able to dodge well enough though his face was hurting that each movement. Okay that was enough of that. Without hesitation, Ashley un-holstered the hand gun at his side, pointing it at the Aussie which seemed to stop his little rampage immediately, though the hate was still evident on his face.
"That is quite enough of that." Ashley remarked, straightening up and narrowing his gaze at the man. The blonde raised his hands up at his sides to indicate that he wasn’t going to lash out again. Ashley nodded, stepping back again. "I suggest that you go now. Leave, or you will be speaking with ze authorities." Which really should’ve been code for ‘I will shoot you if I have to.’
The Aussie was cursing at this point, still glaring with a look to kill. Without hesitation though, he retrieved at least one of his parcel bags, before turning and storming off. Ashley kept the gun trailed on him, finally returning it to it’s proper place at his side before rubbing at his bruising cheek again, swiping away some blood that had started to trickle from his nose as well. Wonderful.

Elizabeth watched as Ashley got punched, his glasses flying off and his nose bleeding, probably broken now. The other guy just kept trying to punch him again and again with Ashley luckily able to dodge each of them. But then she was absolutely shocked when she saw Ashley pull out a hand gun, threatening the other male with it. Why does he have a gun?! The other guy soon ran off before Ashley had put away the gun, thinking that he needs medical attention. "Ashley!" Elizabeth had called out as she ran quickly straight over to him, looking through her bag. "I couldn't help but saw what had happened. We need to get you to the Pokemon Center and get medical attention." she had said to him, pulling out a handkerchief to wipe the blood off and an icepack for his bruised cheek that she could see. He was lucky that he didn't suffer any worse injuries than this besides a broken nose possibly. She still couldn't get the sight of him holding that gun out of her head though. The last time they had spoken in Santalune Forest, Ashley said that he was a computer specialist, so why would he even have a gun on him in the first place? He seemed like he knew what he was doing with it, and he did manage to dodge all those punches besides the first one too. It does seem kind of odd for someone who supposedly works with computers all day to be so agile like that.

Ashley took the time to retrieve his glasses from the ground, inspecting them a moment to assure that they hadn’t been damaged in the confrontation. They weren’t, which was good; the benefit of buying military grade he supposed. He stepped back over towards his casing, blinking, and looking up in a bit of surprise as he heard someone calling his name. His neck craned and he found himself squinting at the figure that fled toward him; he was blind without his glasses on, though it soon became clear who it was.
"Madame Elizabeth?" Huh, he certainly hadn’t expected encounter her again, although given the situation, he supposed it shouldn’t have been too surprising. He placed his glasses back on his face and looked at her curiously, more startled as she suddenly addressed the situation that had just played out, immediate handing him some items to assist with his current wounds. "You are too kind madame." He remarked, taking the handkerchief and eyeing it a moment before also taking the cold pack. She was a rather well prepared individual, wasn’t she? He could respect that. Not wanting to bloody up the handkerchief, he instead simply wrapped it around the ice pack and help both to his cheek, a slight frown on his face as he looked at her.
"There is no need for that, madam. I am fine, it is simply… a little bruising." He remarked nonchalantly, using his free hand to wave away the idea. "I am sorry you had to bear witness to such a confrontation though. It is most unbecoming. Have you been here long?" How much had she seen? Or heard? He certainly hadn’t noticed she was there, though was rather grateful that she hadn’t flung herself into the fray. That would’ve certainly gone badly.

Lafayette had promptly retreated once the man had pulled a gun on him; not out of fear, the last thing he really gave a damn about was being show; he’d been through worst throughout his life. But there was something to be said about a man who pulled a gun on you and it was that they were either a coward or a cop. He didn’t want to hazard trying to figure out either; he could get shot later if it really came down to it.
No, now he was just agitated. He would’ve happily stuck around to pound the man four feet into the ground if he could’ve and maybe in the future… that would be something he did. Lafayette was a good distance away before finally ramming a fist into a nearby tree, leaving a reasonable sized dent. He had to take a deep breath to try and control himself before promptly reaching for a pokeball and yanking it off his belt. He unleashed Dova who seemed to immediately recognize the rage brewing through her trainer, shirking back in a bit of fear. The Aussie eyed her a moment before giving her a gentle pat on the head before mounting onto her back.
"C’mon Dova. Get movin’." His tone was flat and pretty much indicated that he wasn’t feeling for any games. The Noivern’s ears flattened in response and she whined, before shuffling in place and taking off into the air. He needed to… just get moving.

Your nose is bleeding, so if it could be broken, that would need to be checked out right away." she had said back to him, thinking that it could have happened and that it's better to be safe and have it be treated as soon as possible. Then he apologized to her for having to witness that before asking if she has been here long. "Not that long really. I was just at the beach down there where I ended up getting myself a beautiful Milotic before coming up here and seeing that fight. I am training my team before I go to face the next gym in Shalour City." Elizabeth had said back to him as she shook her head. But him pulling out that gun was still nagging her a lot, wondering just why someone like him even has one. "I don't mean to pry, but why do you have a gun?" she then asked Ashley, curious as to how he would react and his explanation for having it. Normally she wouldn't be this suspicious of someone, but with her father and Team Void possibly on her trail soon, she can't be too careful or cautious when it comes to strangers in a new region.
