{School days are all buggedy for me lately. Sorry I haven't really been replying as often as I should, or getting to work on other projects as much as I've liked that I promised I'd handle. crying }
Scarlet went on to tightly hug Lucian after he set her down. With that she promptly went on to look around for the best spot to set up their tents, and of course the campfire and all that.

While Scarlet got their camp set up, Lucian went to the lake's edge, just kneeling there as he stared into the water at his reflection. It was nice to finally see his own face after so many years, but it was hardly the face he'd hoped to find staring back at him. Using one finger he traced the lines on his face that stretched out from his eyes and sighed. He stayed there in contemplation for some time before splashing some water on his face to snap himself out of things before returning to Scarlet.

Scarlet had only just finished up with everything as Lucian approached. She offered him a warm and welcoming smile, standing herself up to greet him with a hug once more. "It's such a relief that you're still you." she said, seemingly out of nowhere. But really, it wasn't. Scarlet was just as worried about the situation at hand as Lucian was. She just hid it better.

"I...suppose I am too...." Lucian sighed, a reluctant smile making its way onto his face as he eventually found it in him to return the hug while curling his wings around her. "On the one hand, if I did lose my mind in the process, I wouldn't have to deal with such worries....but then I'd lose you too." he said before giving her a tender kiss on the cheek.

Lucian certainly didn't think so, but nonetheless he tried to smile for Scarlet's sake. She was trying to be optimistic for his sake, the least he could do was do the same for her.

Pleased that Lucian was at least trying to look cheerful, even with his doubts, she couldn't help but adopt a broad grin as she offered him yet another affectionate little peck. "Now, since we have camp set up, is there anything you have in mind? Something you did blind that you want to do...not blind or something?"

"I...don't know really..." Lucian blushed sheepishly as he glanced away from Scarlet. "I always wanted to be able to see again, but I guess I never really thought about what I'd do once I could..."
((For the record, I am now out of ideas. 8D;; Well, for the most part I am. It may be time to bring in/hunt down the witch of soul stealing. Perhaps she's been keeping his soul around for future leverage? Or to control demon!Lucian should she have use of him? Idk, I shouldn't brainstorm close to midnight.))

Scarlet's tone was more suggestive than intended, and without another thought she left his embrace and went on to dig through the rations in her backpack - clearly looking to see if they had enough rations to forgo hunting or fishing for the moment being.

And thank you. ^.^ I think I spent a good ten, maybe fifteen minutes tooling around with it earlier, battling the lack of any good poses with the gun (seriously, why isn't there an 'arm straight out, pointing it at someone's head' type pose?) and my inability to use both a backdrop from the Case of Pietro item as well as one of the blood splatters. I also rant about the lack of a smoke trail for her cigarette. [/rant]))
Curious, Lucian raised an eyebrow as he walked up behind her, peering over her shoulder as Scarlet dug through her bag.

As for the lack of posage, I've often wondered that myself. It really sucks. Regardless, I'm glad to see how well it turned out for you.}
Scarlet quickly pulled out some rations, holding out some of the edible preserved goods she had for Lucian with a grin. "You hungry?"

Scarlet nibbled on her own portion of their humble 'dinner' as she leaned back against him, finishing quickly and promptly resting her head on his shoulder immediately afterwards.

Once Lucian was finished, he briefly smiled down at Scarlet before looking up in thought. It was then that he realized just what sorts of wonders he could finally see after so long and leaned back to take in the sky. It was a clear sky and a full moon, the navy blue night glowing with the silver light of the moon and stars that decorated the night sky. A small smile creased his lips as he stared up at the endless expanse. "The night sky is beautiful, isn't it? It's just like you described."

Scarlet looked up with Lucian, admiring the sky as well but perhaps not half as enthralled as he. "It is." She couldn't help but form yet another pleasant smile as she turned her gaze to Lucian and said, "This probably doesn't matter much, but it means the world to me to know that you finally get to enjoy things like this with me."
