Granted, but then it became so easy that it was like repeating Kindergarten so going to college was really pointless and got you nowhere.

Granted, but then you become one of those blood-thirsty, vicious newborns. You end up killing everyone in the world [including other vampires] so you live eternally lonely and you end up going crazy because there's no blood left for you to drink.
