On another note, we have another guest speaker for our class today. He's a carver. It's going to be cool to see what he'll end up talking about, and what he brings with him. 3nodding

A little under 30 minutes until I have to leave and go eat some dinner. Depending on whether Dad's barbecued baby ribs for me or not, I'll either have my leftover Cobb salad or the Baby Ribs. *shrugs* Either one will be good.

Apparently it's around 83 degrees F, with 37% humidity. Seems about right.

My afternoon/early evening went pretty well. The speaker was pretty interesting, though at times I started to drift off because he tended to ramble on about things sometimes.
Came home and shared how my class went with my parents... and then Dad asked me what I thought of the job opening he found earlier today. I responded that it sounded interesting.

Mom heard him mention the job opening, which got us started on a whole discussion about me getting a job and what not. The usual stuff they say whenever job openings are mentioned.
I told them I wanted to wait before I applied for any jobs, because of my weird schedule and not knowing what a full term will be like at the university I'm going to. Dad went on saying that the job is a school position, so they can work around my schedule. And Mom said that I'm at the age where I need to get job experience.
RAAAHHHHHHH! stressed Well, freaking shut up already about the whole job thing! Yes, I know I need to continue job searching. But I'm a little busy getting use to the university school life. Old enough to be needing get job experience? What? Are the things I have on my resume not good enough for you, Mom? Honestly!
After awhile I felt like they were pressuring me to apply for the job opening... and I ended up snapping at them.

I hate how they keep suggesting that it's time for me to be an adult, but then go about in a way that it makes me feel like a child still. That I can't make my own decisions, that they have to make it.
Needing to get job experience? Yes, I know that. And I'll get around to it, when I feel I'm ready to start job searching again. Just because I'm continuing my education at a different school, doesn't mean that things are going to run the same. Especially when I'm doing a full term, and I have no idea what a full term load is going to be. How do you expect me to get my homework done, while doing a job? *grumbles angrily*
And Mom, don't give me any of that crap about being "old enough" for this or that. Here's a newsflash for you, Mom - I'M OLD ENOUGH TO MAKE MY OWN DECISIONS!
