Some of the people I thought I wouldn't be able to get temperatures of having trickling down. So... that's nice.

Did rules change since I was last informed when it comes to residents being able to social distantly from family members? 'Cause I've just had a family member call and commented "Oh, things must have changed again" when he asked if he could social with his mom (resident) and I indicated we weren't allowing it. And then I have a resident who's outside talking with family members from social distance. Like... last I knew we weren't letting this happen. Did that change? UGH! I hate when important things aren't always communicated to everyone.

Resident: *after coming inside with the gift bag of goodies she got from her family* Oh, do you need to check this? Me: Meh... you should fine.
Like... you've already grabbed and taken it prior to coming inside. Me taking it and sanitizing it isn't really going to make any difference. *sighs*

Sometimes it's funny reading how details of a story are revealed from two different perspectives. I had a resident come up to me because he was upset with how one of the staff members had answered his question about having someone walk with him around the block. The way he told about the situation to me, it sounded like he wasn't happy about being reminded of what the current precaution guidelines were. I just read the observation entry of my co-worker (who was the one involved in the situation) and apparently he was demanding that someone - staff or resident - walk with him around the block.
Yes, other residents have walked around the block with each other. But that's because they decided to do so on their own terms because they are friends. They weren't forced to go with each other. whee
