Their future, because evn tho I couldn't help, I'd know how much time I'd have with them. Also, looking into their past would be intrusive and disrespecting their privacy and right to keep secrets.

video games... there might be nothing interesting to watch on the tele...
would you rather know your goal but not be able to achieve it or never know your goal and wander aimlessly?
