It wasn't weird that another colored Spinarak appeared and Lairon took it out. It dawned on him that it wasn't the level difference per say. The item that Lairon held almost doubled any attack and that was enough to defeat the bug Pokemon. Once Lairon won there was that telltale ding and Lairon started to glow, getting taller until he evolved into his final stage. "Aggron the iron armor Pokemon. Aggron is protective of its environment. If its mountain is ravaged by a landslide or a fire, this Pokemon will haul topsoil to the area, plant trees and beautifully restore its own territory." Aggron was now taller than Simon as he hugged the large Pokemon telling him how proud he was before returning him.

Now because Simon now knew that the wild Halloween Pokemon were level ten and so were Poochyena and Carvanha. Sending out both Pokemon he always wondered how water Pokemon like Carvanha battled. Even though he didn't even know water attacks yet, Simon would resolve that soon, water formed so that he wasn't a literal fish out of water. Giving them a candy each to help them be better prepared then taught Carvanha Surf to have a good water attack for now. A rustle was heard nearby and Simon return Poochyena letting Carvanha try out his new move.

Vince nodded in agreement as Olivia suggested that Fortree was good for exercise as well. "That makes sense." He agreed. It was certainly a place he was interested in seeing, though Sky Pillar was far more interesting to him considering it was basically a shrine to rayquaza. Even though the chances that they would find it or rayquaza were minuscule, it would still be quite the adventure to try. "I don't know, but we can certainly try." Vince suggested with a boyish grin when Olivia asked if he thought they could find Sky Pillar. He chuckled as Olivia suggested that they might catch a glimpse of rayquaza, something his brother probably hadn't done. "No, but then again few people have in general." He chuckled. "I appreciate the sentiment though..... Wait, have I said that already...?" He asked with another light laugh. It felt like he was repeating things a lot lately, but the alcohol was to blame for that.
Xiu Feng giggled as Blue admitted that he'd never had a blueberry either, ironically. ("Haha, yeah, we definitely should!") She agreed when Blue suggested that they should both try blueberries together some day. The two talked and ate, though wen the subject of unnatural fur coloring came up, Xiu Feng struggled to keep her promise of not discussing anything species related. She wanted to tell Blue that his fur was natural, but she kept quiet and simply agreed with whatever he said. ("What do gems normally taste like....?") She asked, trying not to sound as incredulous as she felt to the fact that he ate gems, since she didn't see how that was possible. Lupup weren't rock eaters!
Given that everyone, trainers and pokemon, were finished with their food, Vince suggested that they head back to their room, returning most of his team. With a yawn, Olivia checked on her pokemon before agreeing and doing the same, and Vince stood to make his way back to the room with Olivia. "You said you wanted to shower, yes? You can go in first then. I'll take one after." He insisted, flopping onto the bed and closing his eyes. Hopefully he could stay awake long enough to actually follow through with that plan.
Olivia laughed quietly as Vince agreed with her, but didn't provide anymore comment on Fortree. It was clear that her companion's true interest lied in Sky Pillar, and she couldn't blame him considering which legendary the monument was dedicated to. Despite the fact that neither trainer knew where exactly it was located, or if Rayquaza could actually be found there, it was still an exciting idea to entertain. "That's the spirit~" Olivia teased when Vince suggested they could at least try to find Sky Pillar. She laughed as Vince pointed out that, although Cheng hadn't ever seen Rayquaza, the same could be said for most of the population. "That's true, and I think you might've said it earlier. I can't remember though," Olivia admitted, smiling afterwards. It was entirely possible that Vince had those exact same earlier on in the evening, but just like him she was having trouble recalling.
Blue, as happy as a Clampearl, made a mental note to ask his mother later on where he could find blueberries, that way he and Xiu Feng could try them together. As for now, however, Blue did his best to multi-task, switching between eating and conversing, and at the same time doing his best not to do both at the same time. It became much easier after Blue had finished eating, thankfully, which was a good thing since they'd moved on to talking about food. "Hmm." Blue hummed as he thought, trying to recall the taste of gems so as to be able to accurately describe them to his friend. "They have a sorta.. subtle taste?" he tried. "At first it doesn't taste like anything, but the insides are a bit.. salty." Blue looked over at Xiu Feng, curious. "What, have you never eaten a gem before?" Gems were a luxury for him, since they were so rare to find, maybe Xiu Feng didn't come from a place where there weren't any gems?
With all plates and bowls emptied it was about high time they returned to their room to prepare for the next day, Olivia returning all but Blue and Licorice to do just that. Once they'd made it back to their room Vince offered Olivia the shower first, something the pinkette appreciated. "Alright, I'll make sure to be quick," Olivia promised, stopping at her bag to grab her pajamas for the night before continued forward and slipped into the bathroom.

Happy that Olivia had the same spirit of adventure he did, Vince was even more excited to take their trip to Hoenn. He didn't expect to find a rayquaza or anything, but he did want to go looking for Sky Pillar. As he explained that he still appreciated Olivia's confidence in his ability, though the way he expressed it felt familiar, as if he'd said the same words not too long ago. He couldn't really remember though, due to his inebriated state, and neither could Olivia for similar reasons, but in the end that meant even if he had stated it before, it didn't matter since Olivia couldn't remember. "Heh, alright, that works too." He laughed.
Xiu Feng turned her head slightly as Blue described the taste of a gem. ("Salty? Huh....") She wouldn't have guessed that. She also didn't realize the implications of her question until Blue asked if she hadn't ever eaten a gem. Whoops. Arceus, it was hard to take interest in any of the peculiar things Blue did without drawing attention to the fact that she was not the same. ("Oh, no, I haven't... I tend to stick to meat, it's pretty tasty and satisfying, and gems are kind of hard to bite into, so I guess I just don't see the point in trying to eat them?") She offered in what she hoped was an acceptable answer. It wasn't like she was trying to draw the line between them. Two lupup could have a few differences, heck, everyone was different in some way, right?
Since everyone had finished eating, it was quickly decided that they should head back to their room for the night, so after returning pokemon and cleaning up dishes, Vince and Olivia walked with Blue, Xiu Feng, and Licorice out of the cafeteria and down the hall. Vince let Olivia take the first shower shift, figuring he could just take his after, plus she was the one who needed it most to get rid of the lingering stench of burning trash. Not that Vince could really smell it recently, but he knew Olivia probably wanted to get rid of the smell as soon as possible. He nodded as she insisted she would be quick, and as she gathered her things and slipped into the bathroom, Vince laid out on the bed, hands behind his head. He only planned to close his eyes for a moment, but in no time, he had fallen fast asleep, long before Olivia came back out.
Blue simply gave a firm nod of the head in Xiu Feng's direction, finding it rather funny that he had to describe the taste of a gem to her; no one had ever asked him that before. Her explanation as to why she'd never tried a gem before made sense, at least to him, and he didn't bother questioning her further on the topic. "Yeah, meat is nice too," he agreed. "I don't think I've had it much though. I've eaten more of this... other stuff than anything, really," Blue explained, and then inclined his head towards the empty food bowl to indicate he meant the pokefood. "It's... alright." He refused to admit that anything made by a human was good, even if it was.
After returning to their room for the night Olivia was given the opportunity to shower first, and one she eagerly took up. It'd been quite the day, and she was more than eager to wash away the dirt and grime, not to mention the unfortunate scent of burning trash, she'd managed to collect. With the promise of not taking too long, for the sake of preserving the hot water, the pinkette collected her pajamas before slipping into the bathroom. With a sigh Olivia removed her costume, all the while pondering what she'd do with it now; she doubted she'd have much use for it now.
Deciding to worry about that later Olivia shifted her attention to her shower, it was her number one priority after all. Ten minutes later Olivia stepped back out into the room, donned in her pajamas with a towel over her head to help finish drying her hair. "Vince, you can get in the shower now." Olivia walked back over to her bag, rearranging her items a bit to make room for her costume. "Vince?" When the male failed to respond the first time she turned around to look at his bed, though quickly broke out into laughter when she saw that he was simply asleep. "Hey, Vince," Olivia called out to him as she approached the bed, giving his shoulder a soft shake in a mild attempt to wake him. "It's your turn to shower." If he was too tired to take his shower tonight that was fine, he could always take one in the morning. But, that would all depend on how long it took to wake him; if it turned out to be too much work to even return him to a conscious state she'd leave him alone. However, when her attempts proved futile, Olivia gave up and moved away from the bed, returning a minute later with the towel from earlier now back in the bathroom and the lights turned out. She laid down onto the side of the bed Vince didn't take up, which was rather hard to find considering the way he was sprawled out. Finally she managed to find a place, but not before returning Vince's arm to himself, and laid down on her side to try and sleep. Tomorrow would be a busy day.

As Olivia took over the bathroom, Vince sprawled out in the center of the bed since he had planned to get up and shower next, not immediately falling asleep, but he did the latter while Xiu Feng hopped up onto the couch in the corner of the room with Blue to continue their conversation. She nodded understandably as Blue suggested he'd had more of the pokefood than anything else. ("Yeah... It's more readily available than gems and raw meat I guess.") She suggested. It wasn't bad in her opinion either, but it wasn't her favorite, especially since it was human made. She didn't trust it, but she trusted Vince, and she knew he wouldn't give her anything that would poison her. Plus, it wasn't like pokemon centers had fillets laying about in the buffet so Xiu Feng really couldn't afford to be picky. Stuff like this really made her miss home though. There she could get a decent meal.
By the time Olivia reemerged, Vince was sound asleep, snoring softly on the bed. Though he was told it was his turn to shower, he hadn't heard, and eventually Olivia realized his current unconscious state. He had always been known to pass out into deep bouts of sleep after drinking anything at home with his family, and this was no exception. Her light shoulder shake didn't rouse him, nor did any of her other attempts. He did manage to stop snoring, and after a bit more prodding, his eyes opened slightly, but they stared through Olivia before closing again. Otherwise didn't visibly seem to be waking up, so Olivia finished drying her hair before turning the lights off and maneuvering herself and Vince so that she could find a space on the bed. For a moment, all was still and silent, but then Vince turned over onto his side, putting his arm over Olivia. "Yīnghuā... Nǐ yǒu... máfan shuìjiào ma...?" He muttered huskily in a half sleep daze. "Nǐ xiǎng... ràng wǒ qīnwěn nǐ de bózi ma...?" He sighed, nuzzling his face into the back of Olivia's head. "Wǒ huì ràng.... nǐ gǎnjué gèng hǎo...." His sleepy muffled words were lost among a language and sound barrier, and soon he quieted again.
Joining Xiu Feng on the couch Blue did a quick circle over the cushions, getting himself comfortable, and then laid down, relatively close to his friend. His gaze, however, turned to Licorice and he waited eagerly for the Sableye to join them on the couch too before he gave his full attention to Xiu Feng. "We oughta try other foods, maybe," he suggested, then gave a yawn. This couch was much softer and comfortable than the floor, that, combined with his full belly, and the Lupup didn't stand a chance against the drowsy feeling that began to take him. "I'm gonna.. go to bed now," he announced, as if that wasn't already clear enough. "We should talk more in the morning. G'night Xiu Feng, mom." With another yawn and one final shift into the couch Blue closed his eyes, able to slip into unconsciousness in a matter of minutes.
There were two things Olivia learned after leaving the shower: one, Vince was a heavy sleeper and two, he snored. The latter wasn't too much of a problem, however, she snored too. What was proving troublesome was the brunette's refusal to wake up, no matter how much Olivia shook and called out to him; there was an instance where Vince did open his eyes, but it was clear he wasn't awake, and just as quickly as he'd opened them he'd closed them right back. Throwing in the towel Olivia conceded and, after turning out the light and fully drying her hair, she slipped into a space on the bed and did her best to get comfortable enough to fall asleep. The pinkette had only just closed her eyes when the bed springs creaked, signaling movement, and she felt an arm thrown around her.
Stiffening, Olivia wasn't sure what to expect, or make of the situation she was in, but it most definitely not what came next. Breath catching in her throat Olivia quickly found her face growing warm when Vince began to mutter in his sleep. It weren't his words that caught her attention, since they were lost to her in Chinese, but rather the way they were spoken, or rather mumbled; it certainly assured that she wouldn't be falling asleep anytime soon. Muscles still tensed Olivia waited for Vince to speak again, or move his arm from around her, but after several minutes had passed it became clear that neither was going to happen. The pinkette sighed. This was fine, perfectly fine. If she didn't think about it too much she could definitely fall asleep like this. So she did that: not think about how Vince had his arm was around her, or how close they were, for what seemed like hours. Eventually, thankfully, sleep did find Olivia, and with her body relaxing she grew still, with only the rise and fall of her chest to give proof to some sign of life.

Xiu Feng nodded in agreement as Blue suggested that they try other foods too. ("Yeah... Maybe we can find other things that we'd like.") His yawn was infectious, and Xiu Feng settled down into the couch, nodding as Blue announced he was going to bed. She was pretty tired herself, so Xiu had no objections.("Night Blue~") She mumbled sleepily, snuggling closer and resting her head on top of his back, dosing off just as quickly. She was really happy to be around another one of her kind again, and even though he was a bit odd, she liked him all the same. She hoped one day they could interact without fear of stepping on any toes...
Vince was completely oblivious to Olivia's reactions, so deep in sleep that he acted without thinking, wrapping an arm around the pinkette and murmuring in Chinese. Thankfully Olivia settled down into sleep soon enough, in spite of Vince's distraction, and eventually late night became late morning, and Vince started to stir. They hadn't moved from that spot all night, so when Vince started to open his eyes, his vision was flooded with pink. At first, he closed his eyes again and inhaled deeply, stretching his back. It was normal routine, deep breaths and stretches helped him wake up, but in doing so, he subconsciously pulled Olivia closer to him and sighed. He felt so... Comfortable.
Vince froze, eyes open, immediately awake and sobered when he realized what he was doing. Dammit, this was the second time now that he'd slept next to Olivia and woke up clinging to her like an idiot. Vince forced himself to relax, not wanting the tension building up in his body to disturb and wake Olivia. Maybe.... He could just wait here for a while. Would that really be so bad...? Vince grimaced, listening to his thoughts. This was absurd. He was against staying in the same bed with a woman with whom he had no relations with. Even though Olivia had insisted she had no issues with it, Vince was trying to stick with his own code of ethics. Olivia was just making it.... Difficult.
Carefully, Vince withdrew his arm from around the pinkette, sitting up and trying to recall the events of the previous night. He knew drinking would be a bad idea, but he'd gone through with it anyways. Now he just needed to sort out his memories. He remembered playing that drinking game, and exchanging information with her. Then things grew a bit hazy, vaguely recalling getting their prizes and stumbling out of the fair, then they had eaten and managed to agree to share a room. Why Vince had even suggested that in the first place was beyond him. He blamed the drinking. Ugh. His behavior while inebriated was beyond embarrassing, but.... He knew he'd enjoyed it, as much as he hated to admit it. With a sigh, he leaned towards Olivia and brushed her shoulder. "Liv... I'm going to get some breakfast... Is there anything you would like?" He asked quietly. He didn't want to wake her, but if he was going to go get food, he wanted to make sure he took care of her as well.
Almost immediately after biding Xiu Feng a goodnight Blue was out like a light, quietly snoring away until late morning when the other occupations of the room, Vince and Olivia, began to awake. His ear twitched gently at the sound of movement, and when a voice actually spoke out, quiet at first, Blue opened his eyes. It took him a moment for his senses, and even longer for his memory of the night before, to return to him but when the Lupup craned his head back he found Xiu Feng resting on him. Not keen on disturbing her he laid his head back down and grew still, though a yawn disrupted his plan... slightly. He would just sit here until Xiu Feng woke up, he didn't mind waiting! It wasn't as if he had anything else to do, mom was still asleep and Olivia didn't have any other pokemon out.
Despite the rather embarrassing.. end to the night, it didn't take long before Olivia fell into a deep enough sleep to get through the night, not even so much as stirring before the next day. Though initially unaware of Vince's awakening, Olivia began to slowly regain consciousness when he pulled his arm, and subsequently his body heat, away from her. It took a bit more, such as him sweeping her shoulder, for her to finally gain some sort of waking awareness. "Eh?" Olivia turned to bury her face into the bed, further rousing her, before proceeding to emit a muffled sigh. Arceus, what time was it?
Though she had abstained from drinking... as much as Vince had, her mouth was still dry and she could feel the faint pulse of a headache. That was nice. The pinkette closed her eyes tightly, then held that expression, before forcing herself to relax her face at the same time she exhaled. Alcohol, it really wasn't her friend. But, in the midst of her late morning regret session, she remembered that she'd been asked a question, what was it again? Oh, right... if she wanted something for breakfast. "A blueberry muffin," Olivia mumbled before she rose reluctantly from the bed. The young woman reached out to drowsily run her fingers through her hair and out of her face. "And... an orange juice... please." That was it, right? Nothing else. "Good morning, by the way."

Xiu Feng was awake the moment her trainer had awoken and realized his current position. Vince was Xiu Feng's top priority, and she still didn't entirely trust Olivia. While awake however, she didn't move. Her eyes remained closed, her breathing steady, she simply honed her senses on the world around her. When Blue awoke and yawned, Xiu had to suppress a light laugh at his attempts not to disturb her. It was nice of him, even if unknowingly futile given that she was already awake. It wasn't like she wanted to move and wake up just yet anyways, since she was so comfortable, so she would continue to rest but be on her guard, just as she was.
Vince chuckled lightly as Olivia responded to his disturbance by burying her face in a pillow. He couldn't very well blame her for not wanting to get up yet. He felt pretty miserable at the moment, everything felt so... Loud. That was the only way he could describe it, even though it was dead quiet in the room, like his senses had been turned up a few notches. The faint light from the window was blinding, the quiet hum of the vents was deafening, the sights and sounds were so much, but Vince was hungry and thirsty enough to ignore it all in the effort to satisfy his physiological needs. If Olivia felt even half as bad as he did though, he could sympathize. He let the pinkette come to her senses and relax before she finally answered his question.
He hadn't expected her to sit up, the whole point of his actions was to allow her to rest a bit longer. "Hey, it's alright, you don't have to get up...." He insisted quietly, though he grimaced soon after. His voice was just above a whisper, but it sounded so loud in his ears. Arceus... He was really going to regret all those drinks today, he could tell already, but he would just have to persevere. He'd been through worse, after all. Vince watched as Olivia ran her fingers through her hair, quietly taking in her drowsy mannerisms with soft eyes before forcing himself to drop his gaze down. "Blueberry muffin and orange juice. Alright." Vince repeated, not that it would be too much trouble to remember. With that he stood, straightening out his clothes, though he glanced back at Olivia as she greeted him. "Morning. I hope you're feeling well, or at least better than I do." He murmured seriously. There was some intended humor behind his words, but his tone remained flat and serious as usual. It was clear that his lighter attitude from the night before had vanished.
With her ward moving, Xiu Feng was forced to follow as well. She sat up, tail waving slightly as she gave Blue a good morning nuzzle before hopping down off the couch and trotting alongside Vince as he made his way to the door of the room. Olivia had said something about a blueberry muffin. Maybe this morning she and Blue could try some blueberries. It didn't take Vince long to go to the cafeteria and grab a plate for himself and Olivia. Xiu Feng even managed to convince him into grabbing a small bowl and filling it with blueberries for her and Blue to try. When he came back, he set the plate of food down on the bed, handing Olivia her requested meal and Xiu Feng hers. As for himself, Vince had grabbed some eggs, sausage, pancakes, and a strong tea to help with his headache.
Under the protection of a pillow Olivia gave herself the chance to recollect her thoughts and allow her senses to return to her, as sluggish and dull as they were-- and yet heightened at the same time, one wrong move and she'd be crawling underneath the covers once more. After she'd managed to compose herself the pinkette sat up slowly, though drowsily waved Vince's concerns away. "It's fine," she insisted, joining him in whispering in the hopes of sparing them both from an auditory overload. Still not although there she didn't notice the eyes on her, and after gathering herself a bit she listed off her meager breakfast list, giving the slightest of nods when Vince repeated it for confirmation. Olivia slowly, oh so slowly, pulled her legs up to her chest and rested her chin on her knees, a position that was both comfortable and would, hopefully, wake her up a bit more. "It's hard to tell," she joked, a lazy smile slipping onto her lips. "Don't worry though, Vinny, we'll feel better after a bit of breakfast." At least... that was what she hoped; food and a few painkillers.
Blue turned himself over in surprise when Xiu Feng sat up --when had she woken up?-- but greeted her all the same, nuzzling her back with a snort of amusement. With Vince gone Olivia took the time to.. sit in the same position, for a few good minutes. Eventually the pinkette convinced herself to use that time to change out of her pajamas, and it was with only the slightest of groans did she drag herself out of the bed and trudge over to her bag for a change of clothes. By the time Vince returned Olivia had managed to don her outfit on, minus the socks and shoes, and was sitting on the bed flicking through her digital pages on her XTransceiver. "Welcome back." Taking her attention away from her device Olivia took her food gratefully, immediately swallowing half her orange juice in the hopes of alleviating herself of her dry mouth. From there she ate in silence, trying not to make too much noise, and once she felt she felt she'd recovered by at least thirty-five percent, she turned to Vince. "Have any interesting dreams last night?" she questioned, tone teasing.

Noel placed a hand over his mouth to stifle a yawn as he exited off with the crowds into North Lumiose. He felt a little jet lagged –or was it train lagged?- from the ride. It’d taken a couple of hours and it sort of looked like it was getting darker now. He had to think about his next course of action; he could keep going and camp out once he got to the forest (he’d always wanted to do some camping, another benefit to going on a pokemon adventure) or he could rest now and continue on the next day. Despite weariness starting to set in on him, he was still full of energy about the future and after some seriously deep thought, he decided to keep going.

He had to make it through the other half of the city and then another city before he’d arrive at Santalune Forest anyways. He was beginning to notice how massive of a trek it was to go from one place to another. It was a good thing he was, for the most part, a pretty active individual by nature. He couldn’t really imagine all this hiking and walking if you weren’t.

North Lumiose wasn’t nearly as crowded though he was sure that had something to do with the time and the size of the city. He was fairly certain it was bigger than Castelia. Especially since it had like… two separate sides to it. That meant pretty big in his book.
