While Elgyem waited for both the incense to attract another pokemon, and for Olivia to return, she watched the trainer's pokemon move about the beach. Though she had no interest in interacting with the three, she was able to retain some information about each through observation. Blue yipped and barked as he drew close to the wave, jumping back when the cold water splashed over his paws, only to return moments later. Licorice watched on, but when urged by the canine pup she joined in, playfully scooping up a bit of water to splash at him. Pichu held no interest in the water and instead, with cheeks sparking, kept on the look out for anymore pokemon, searching both the water and the sand. Even with her on watch Elgyem was the first to spot Olivia approaching them, and then seconds later a dark figure dart out. Perfect timing.

"Yes, that should be more than enough," she replied, though after a moment pointed to a spot behind Olivia. "Though now you only have thirteen."

Pichu was on a roll, and with a little wiggle of the rear she tried to look back at her tail. She was really doing some great work here, and she could feel herself getting stronger each time she defeated a pokemon! The fact that she hadn't taken any damage since her first encounter certainly said as much. Brimming with energy Pichu gave a quick release of electricity through her cheeks, hoping that she could calm herself down with this, and then perked up when she saw a pair of pokemon slowly making their way towards them. Although she didn't recognize them Pichu was more than certain that she'd be able to take them on with her usual move, and with that she began to charge towards them.

With a spin-jump Pichu moved from one Amaura to its companion, slamming it in the neck with her tail before she flipped away. Her breathing was a bit heavier from the exertion, but other than that she was just as proud as ever at her abilities and she looked to Olivia with bright eyes as she approached to capture both pokemon. The pinkette offered a soft smile before she gently reached down to pet the top of Pichu's head, tossing out two pokeballs to the fainted pokemon afterwards.

Elgyem approached Olivia after she'd captured the two newest pokemon, taking both pokeballs to send away to the PC. From there she gave Olivia's pokemon an appraising look before turning back to the trainer herself, "how many badges do you have?" she inquired, suprising the other with the sudden question. "Only one," she admitted. "Why?" Elgyem turned away from her, not immediately answering, before eventually swiveling back around. "Before we can continue you need to claim your next badge, a majority of your pokemon are getting close to disobeying you," she alerted her, much to Olivia's surprise. "Oh, alright."
Admittedly, she wanted to wait for Vince before she went to challenge Grant, it was just more fun this way, but she wouldn't be able to do much if her pokemon refused to listen to her. "The next gym leader is located here, and I've got an idea of who to use. So I might as well go now," she mused aloud, then looked down to Pichu. "Wanna come with me for a bit? You'd get to battle a strong pokemon." Pichu perked up at this news and with an excited 'Pi' she scrambled back onto Olivia's shoulder, causing the woman to chuckle gently. She turned to Elgyem next, "I'll wait for you here with these two," Elgyem decided, speaking before Olivia even had the chance to. "In case any other pokemon are attracted." Though it made complete sense the pinkette couldn't help but to feel... a bit uncomfortable, if anything she wanted to come up with the idea considering it involved her pokemon. "Fine with me," she eventually replied with a shrug, then walked over to Licorice to relay the message. There was no reason to start an argument over it, especially with a pokemon.
Once she had everything squared away Olivia headed away from the beach to make her way to the gym, taking out her XTransceiver to see if she had gotten any other text from Vince in that time. She hadn't, so she sent another one to him, explaining where she was now. It was a short five minute walk from the beach to the gym and upon arrival the woman couldn't help but grin when she saw the climbing wall, excited at the idea of scaling it. It'd been a while since she'd gotten in any decent exercise and so, after checking that she did indeed have to climb it, she started up, grabbing one ledge after the next and wiggling her foot into any crack and crevice available to her. Olivia was grinning by the time she made it to the top, and after taking in a few breaths to restore her breathing she gestured for Pichu to hop down. "You're up first," she puffed.

Rushing into Cyllage City, Vince scanned the area for the familiar red roof, rushing over with the hurt jangmo-o to try and get them into urgent care. He eventually found the center and hurried over, moving to the front desk to hand the wild jangmo-o and his own captured one to Nurse Joy so that she could start taking care of them. When the pokemon were out of his hands, Vince moved to the side of the building, sitting in one of the chairs with Xiu Feng with a sigh. Olivia had texted him back, suggesting that they meet at the gym. That sounded fair. They were somewhat in a hurry to get this gym battle out of the way before their pokemon started to disobey, and also so they could try and head to Hoenn. He would have responded, but Nurse Joy came out to give him a report on the trio of jangmo-o.
He got his own back, and Nurse Joy insisted that he let it rest for now, as the other two would rest in the center before getting sent back to Alola. "Alola?" Vince inquired curiously. "Yes, that's the region these pokemon come from. It's quite strange to see them all the way in Kalos, but we feel it would be best to send them back to their natural habitat if you don't wish to keep them." Vince nodded. Alola... He vaguely recalled hearing about it. Hadn't they recently established a pokemon league there? He would have to look into it later, or maybe ask Olivia. Speaking of whom, she had sent him another text, asking if he had arrived yet. Shoot, he'd forgotten to text her back, but she had said she was moving to the gym, so maybe he could just meet her there. Thanking Nurse Joy, Vince exited the center to go find the gym so he could meet Olivia there. He came just in time too, since he heard clashing on top of the giant rock climb in the center. Xiu Feng hopped onto his shoulder as Vince straightened his bag and katana before starting to climb his way up. By the time he'd gotten to the top, Grant was already handing Olivia her badge. "Phew.... Looks like I made it just in time." Vince suggested, hopping up onto the top of the platform. The climb had been a nice warm up for the battle at least.

Considering the damage Pichu had taken Olivia decided to return her, and Poppy, for the time being, and gave Grant a nod of thanks afterwards. She stretched from side to side before rolling her shoulders, preparing to head back down but stopped when she heard someone else making their way up. "Oh!" Olivia's eyes lit up when she saw it was Vince, a grin breaking out as he cleared the top and pulled himself up. "There you are, I thought you'd never make it back up here," she teased. This was great, and just in time as he had stated, now she wouldn't have to go searching for him. "I'll just... be over here," she informed then moved to sit down close to the edge of the climbing wall. "I'll be your sitting cheerleader~"
Back at the beach Elgyem was still waiting for Olivia to return, and in the meantime allowed time to pass by giving Blue and Licorice a chance to take on any passing ice types the incense attracted. So far there had only been a Cubchoo, which she then had captured and sent away to the PC. She'd just so happened to come across a trainer willing enough to part with a few pokeballs, which was very kind of them. Things were slow, but it was her hope that they'd pick back up soon.

Grant rubbed the back of his neck as he returned his Tyrunt, then shook his head in light amusement. "Heh, didn't figure I'd have my pokemon beaten by the same two moves, twice," he mused before he approached Vince. "I guess it's true what they say about some couples thinking alike. But, either way, you've won. I present to you the Cliff badge as proof of this." He handed the brunette his badge, slipping in a TM to his collection. "And, TM Rock Slide, it's a pretty powerful move." Slipping his hands behind his back he nudged his head to the left, "if you're not feeling up to climbing back down there's a slide that'll take you all the way back."

"Alright, I'll hold you to that promise," Olivia remarked, giving Vince a little two-finger salute before she sat down at the edge. At his comment about her being too close to the edge she chuckled, but did scoot away from it, "that better?" she asked, teasing. Resting back on her hands she watched Vince battle against Grant, a grin appearing when she noted something. It seemed she hadn't been the only one, however, and Olivia couldn't help but to chuckle as Grant commented on it, pushing up onto her feet to join Vince. "Congratulations on the battle!" she spoke, her eyes flickering over to the slide the gym leader had mentioned. "I don't know about you, but I think I'll climb back down," she explained before clapping her hands together. It wasn't often that she came across a climbing walls, and she certainly wouldn't miss out on this chance.

Vince gave Olivia a sarcastic smile and shake of the head as she scooted forward and asked teasingly if it was better. "Yes." He admitted, before turning his attention to the battle at hand. It was a fairly handy victory, but afterwards something Grant said made Vince give him a look of confusion. Beaten by the same two moves...? Vince looked at Olivia. Had she...? Grant's next comment only confirmed it, but made Vince tense with embarrassment. "Oh.... No, you misunderstand, we are not--" Vince started to insist, but Grant already moved on, presenting him with the cliff badge and a TM for rock slide while Olivia congratulated him on his win. "Ah, thank you...." Vince said quietly to both of them, taking his rewards and storing them away in his bag. When Grant offered the slide in the back to the bottom in case they didn't want to climb back down, Vince smiled at Grant thankfully. "I think I will be climbing back down--" Vince started to say, almost at the same time as Olivia, blinking in surprise. Part of him almost wanted to take the slide just to spite everything, but he knew it probably wouldn't go over well. Instead, he just waited for Olivia to move down the rock climb before following after her so that they could heal their pokemon and make their way back to Connecting Cave.
