Just went on a spending spree buying a bunch of items off of my wishlist here on Gaia. I was actually surprised by how many items were at a cheap price.

My gold amount may have taken a sudden dive as a result but I know I'll be able to get it back up again in no time. Better to use it towards something I can utilize than just have it sitting there collecting digital dust. sweatdrop

My neck has been so stiff today. It's not as bad right now as it was this morning... but I can still tell it's tight.

Just passing the time until it's time for me to head off to see my co-worker and her band do their performance at a bar across the river from me. I'm excited to see how they do. She seems to be really happy with this group than she has been with some of the previous bands she was with.

And with that, the first month of 2020 has come to a close and another begins. Boy, has it been an interesting year already!

I had a good time seeing my co-worker friend and her band perform last night. However, some of the interactions with the surrounding bar customers - who were getting quite drunk as time passed - wore me down a bit. One lady was getting upset about me recording the band performing their various songs, despite me explaining it was the band's request - specifically my co-worker friend - for me to do so. She even went so far as trying to block the camera's view of the band, which didn't really work very well because I was able to lift my arms high enough above her head to prevent her from blocking the view for too long (not hard to do with her being short, me sitting on a bar stool, and long arms). talk2hand Like, if you don't want to be on video, then either stop going on the dance floor completely, stand off to the side to dance (rather than smack in the middle), or just keep your back to the camera. It's really not that hard to do. But... alcohol tends to inhibit logical reasoning like that. Then there was an old guy that danced on the floor during one of the songs, who apparently took a shining to me... and for whatever reason had two plastic buckets of ross and gave me one. Talk about awkward! If it was a different scenario, like an old guy giving me a rose in honor of Valentine's Day outside of the bar without any clear indication of previous infactuation, I would've considered it sweet. But the setting - in a bar - and the obvious signs he was trying to flirt, just tainted the thought. I did end up taking the rose home with me, because I'm not going to waste a nice rose bouquet but it was after quite a bit of deliberation.

And guys always wonder why I'm so "picky" about who I am interested in dating.
Because I'm constantly bombarded with the flirtations of the creeps or people I would never consider being in a romantic relationship with.

There was one of those meme activities that I participated in where it's "________ or Draw 25." Of the few who replied, my friends logically focused on my interests - attending cons, watching anime, so on and so forth. My ex and a guy who has previously expressed interest me, however, focused on the romantic end of things. My ex said "flirting" and the guy said "go on a date."
Most of the other responses were fun. Like yeah, that's totally me. It would be hard to complete cut off from those things. But the romantic-themed responses? It wasn't amusing at all. I felt like I was being insulted because my way of approaching romance doesn't match up with how they approach it. sad
