*sighs* Just hard sometimes to know what to do.
And I think many of the people of my same generation are feeling the same way. Heck, a good portion of my high school classmates have ended up creating their own businesses because nothing matches what they are looking for.

Like for one of them, since childhood, she's wanted to be a veterinarian. Unfortunately, for the positions she's applied for, she's either underqualified because she doesn't have the college degrees they require or she's "overqualified" because of the experience she's had from living on a farm.
She's now got her own calligraphy art/sign business she's been doing. And she's quite happy doing it as a result.

Half the time, for the positions Dad send my way, I don't even bother applying for. Because I take a look at where they are or the type of business they do and I just go, "Why would I want to apply for this? If it doesn't spark interest in me now, why would I be passionate about it when they interview me?" Why waste anyone's time if my heart's not even in it?

Or sometimes the job listing doesn't even mention the place's name specifically. Like how the hell am I supposed to explain how my experience correlates directly with your work place if I don't even know who you are or what you do?

I think another part of my frustration is my pay for my jobs.
If you look at my history of wage since working, you will see that I've made quite an impressive change.
But if you look at what I'm making in comparison to the state's minimum wage, then you realize every time I get an experience boost in pay, it shortly is followed up by being matched or replaced with the new minimum wage. So... it feels a bit strange that despite the number of years I've worked, I'm still working at "minimum wage".

Our state's minimum wage just went up again this year... and I have to say it's quite the impressive jump from what I've been making at either job.
But how they might equate to getting a place of my own or anything like that, is hard to say...

I was trying to see if I could find an online vision board system I could use. While there are multiple ones out there, they all require you to create an account to use their features. *sighs*

I just thought it would be fun to do one since our Activities Director had listed Vision Boards as an activity for the residents earlier in the week (a day I didn't work). And maybe help me get a clearer idea of what I want than trying to find my way through this murky mess of thoughts and outside opinions.

Sorry for so many deep posts lately. Just been needing to get some things on my chest. Hard to do so out loud when there's no one to talk to. Or least someone to talk to who will get where I'm coming from and won't try imposing their own opinions on the matter. Or someone who will actually pay attention to what I'm saying rather than getting distracted by their coloring app.

I tried showing my Mom a video yesterday evening about a flight of dogs and cats that came in that we will be intaking a portion of. She probably only watched the first 1 minute (if even that). The rest of the time she was busy on the tablet device playing on her coloring app. Like... why am I wasting my time showing you this video, if you wont even give me the courtesy of watching the full thing?
And the two of you wonder why you don't know what I'm wanting or like... talk2hand

Guess I'll do a Pinterest version of a vision board, I guess.

Bloody hell! That was a lot of food. I ate half of what the cook dished up on my plate... and the second half still looks like a full plate. whee
This is way I prefer dishing up my own plate most of the time because I know other people like to load the plate up with too much food. I only have 30 minutes for a break... 5 or so of those being taken up by walking to and from the kitchen and however long it takes to dish (or make - in the case of a sandwich) my meal.

I've wrapped up the remainder and put it in our mini fridge in the back room behind the Front Desk. Guess I can have it as a snack later (as the cook said when I told her I was wrapping up my leftovers) or save as a meal for the next time I work.

My Pinterest Vision Board turned out pretty good. Once I got some things pinned, Pinterest helped flush it out more with suggestions it provided based on what I already had in the board. So... there we go. I did a vision board.
Not really sure how much of what I put on there will actually come into fruition but... it's something.

*resident randomly decides to blow her party horn thingy ((I forgot the actual name right now))*
Haha! Thankfully she only does it a few times, so it doesn't become annoying.
I think she got it from the New Years Party they did. xd
