darkredgirl on Tumblr:i’d always thought christopher eccleston was just anti doctor who mostly bc of creative differences and he was ready to move on from the fandom. i had no idea they’d actually unofficially blacklisted him and told lies about him for FOUR YEARS after he left, and that he still had so many issues still with the BBC. so much of what i believed was just a lie. this poor man deserved so much ******** better okay??? I was just as shocked to hear more about what happened between Eccleston and BBC after he left Doctor Who. I knew there was some tension between them but I never realized how hostile BBC was towards him. And to essentially ruin his career for period of time because of lies they spread?! Poor man! Just glad he's getting the opportunity to star in productions again and he took the opportunity to come "across the pond" to visit Doctor Who fans here despite everything.
