Olivia smiled back at Vince, reflecting his expression, when he agreed that he and Cheng both had their own strengths and weaknesses, though she could tell it didn't do much in uplifting him. She didn't push the subject any further, however, and instead focused on how to explain her views, Vince helping her along and allowing her to better get her point across. She believed in luck but not fate. Olivia chuckled when Vince grumbled on, in her opinion, the inevitability of him attracting women, with or without a scar. He carried his grumpy disposition over to their next topic of her dressing up in a kimono, an example Vince himself had brought up to give proof of how he acted around women. It went away, thankfully, when Olivia comforted him with the fact that he was the only person, man or woman, she'd ever offered to dress up for. "Mhm~" Olivia hummed, laughing at the face Vince made.
Olivia kept up her jovial mood all the way up to their arrival to the Pokémon Center's cafeteria, where she disclosed to Vince her love for sweets. Upon learning this Vince promised to give her any sweets he ever came across and, during the back-and-forth between the two, also let it slip that he wanted to spoil her. It took Olivia a moment but eventually she teased Vince, joking that he was sweet enough to substitute her cake for him. "Hmm," she playfully gave some thought to his suggestion before smirking. "You're right, I've already laid claims to the cake anyway. Next time then." In an attempt to keep things 'even' the two decided on trading foods rather than Vince simply giving her any confection he came across. Once the two seated themselves, and Olivia checked to make sure Torchic wouldn't start any unnecessary fights, the pinkette turned her attention to her food, taking a forkful of her cake before she began to eat her actual food. "So, what are our plans for tomorrow?" she asked in between bites, rolling her right shoulder absently to loosen the tension in it.
As excited as Blue was to meet another pokemon, especially one that looked similar to him, the fact that she seemed so... chummy with a human deterred him from making contact, that and the fact that he actually needed to eat his food. At the very least, this look-a-like seemed friendly! If the wagging of her tail had been of any indication. Besides, it wasn't as if he wouldn't ever get the chance to talk to her, for whatever reason Licorice's trainer--he refused to think of her as his--seemed to be traveling with the other human, so... he had time! Blue was so caught up in multi-tasking, thinking and eating, that he didn't even realize Xiu Feng had since relocated and was actually behind him, not until she whined at least.
Immediately Blue's ears perked up and he lifted his muzzle from out of his bowl, turning around to find that Xiu Feng on her back. "Oh!" The Lupup's tail began to wag. "Hi there!" Instantly Blue rolled over onto his back and from his new, upside, position he looked at Xiu Feng. "Whatcha doin'?" he asked curiously, unintentionally gaining Licorice's curious glance in the process. Ah, that boy of hers.. he was an odd one.

Vince chuckled nervously as Olivia suggested that next time she could have Vince instead of a cake. Next time.... What next time was she talking about exactly? Before he got too flustered, they seemed to settle upon an agreement to trade sweet foods for spicy food to the person who preferred the flavor, respectfully. That was something Vince could do. Calming down, Vince sat with Olivia at one of the tables and began eating, and once Olivia determined that her new spitfire of a torchic wasn't going to try and burn the place down, she began to eat as well. "Hm...." Vince hummed thoughtfully when Olivia asked what their plans were for tomorrow. It was a fair question, one Vince hadn't given much thought to yet. In his defense, the fair had been pretty distracting, so one couldn't really blame him.
Finishing his bite of hamburger, Vince spoke up again, this time with an answer. "Well, we talked about taking a trip to Hoenn after the fair right? Why don't we do that?" He suggested. "Though, we may want to stop by the next town.... Cyllage is the name? We've trained a lot since Viola, so perhaps it would be wise to challenge the gym leader there before we go, just so that we have one less badge to be concerned with." He pointed out. "In the meantime, you offered to tip me off on some places to go sightseeing. If we went to Hoenn, where do you think we should go?" He asked curiously. Given that he knew rather little about Hoenn, he would have to rely on Olivia's experience and knowledge.
Xiu Feng brightened as soon as Blue finally noticed her, tail starting up again and wagging a mile a minute. ("Hi! Hi!") She giggled as Blue rolled over to match her and ask what she was doing. ("I was waiting for you to finish eating so we could talk!") She insisted, rolling back over onto her feet so she could go greet Blue properly, sniffing at his ear and neck. ("I'm Xiu Feng, what's your name?") She asked curiously, though her stomach soon growled. She hadn't really started eating yet, her curiosity with Blue had won over her hunger temporarily, but now she was acutely aware of how far away her food bowl was from him. ("Um...! Can I eat with you?") She pleaded, not really wanting to chose between eating and talking with Blue.
Although the powerful attack of Superpower had the unfortunate downside of lowering attack and defense Lairon used it as a single attack defeated the normal Pokemon. To reset the lowering of his stats Simon returned Lairon for Poochyena again. Then the water Pokemon Wailmer came out and Simon paused. Wailmer's water attacks would be devastating against Lairon and because she wanted him to free his legendary Pokemon Simon sent out Yveltal to prove to her that they were a great pair. Unleashing a dark pulse across the area Wailmer spread a mist out across the area as well. A second dark pulse took Wailmer down earning a cheer for his new friend from Simon. There was a beep on his Pokenav and Simon looked to see a new message from Professor Elm. Looks like Sycamore informed him that Simon wanted to take care of ghost Pokemon and sent him a gift. Making a mental note to check it out after the battle Simon sent Poochyena back out to ready for the next Pokemon.

The corner of Olivia's mouth pulled into a half-smile and from there she directed it towards Vince, a laugh following when she noticed his expression. She'd been joking, of course, when she'd been joking when she'd suggested taking Vince over cake at the next possible time, but it was still amusing all the same. Rather than go into hypothetical details the two simply decided to trade their foods whenever they could. With that settled the two sat themselves and doled out food to their pokemon, and once she could guarantee that her Torchic would pose no threat to others she herself relaxed and allowed herself to eat. After getting about a mouthful of food she asked Vince about their game plan for the next day, and then returned to her food as she waited for an answer.
Chewing slowly the pinkette's eyebrow rose lightly when Vince reminded her about their plans to visit Hoenn, having nearly forgotten about the idea herself. Olivia swallowed. "Alright. Cyllage first to battle Grant, and then we'll head to Hoenn." Olivia tapped her forearm absently to try and think of a few areas they could visit while in Hoenn, since she'd been the only one of the two to visit the region she'd be their designated tour guide. "We could visit Fourtree," she suggested, mind flickering to the naturalist city. "And, oh! I doubt we'd be able to get there, but Sky Tower is located... somewhere in Hoenn. That's where Rayquaza supposedly dwells." She hadn't heard of many who'd actually managed to visit the tower in the ocean, let alone any who had witnessed the legendary dragon, but.. it was something exciting to do.
It was reassuring to see Xiu Feng so excited to see him, but at the same time it didn't help him to calm down; his tail was practically a blur in the air. It was a bit harder to wag his tail once he had rolled over onto his back, but he certainly did his best to keep up the frequency. "Oh, really?" Blue perked up when Xiu Feng admitted that she'd been waiting for him to finish eating so that they could talk. "Sorry about that! I would've finished sooner if I had known!" The shiny Lupup stilled himself, just long enough to allow Xiu Feng to sniff him and once she'd finished he popped back up, shaking himself out afterwards. "I'm Blueberry!" he announced, his nose twitching as he edged closer to sniff at Xiu Feng as well. "But you can call me Blue!" He sat back on his haunches, forcing himself to calm down just a bit, and then tipped his head to the side when he heard Xiu Feng's stomach growl. He laughed before he nodded his head firmly. "Yeah, of course!" Blue hopped back up and then pulled his bowl back, giving Xiu Feng room to bring her bowl back to his. "We can talk and eat at the same time!" So, in his mind, a definite win-win.

While Vince was flustered and aggravated by how easily embarrassed he was, he took some small comfort in the fact that it was at least amusing for Olivia. Thankfully once things had settled down and they worked on their meals, they started talking about a much simpler topic, such as plans for tomorrow. He really did want to try traveling to Hoenn like they had discussed at the fair, but their pokemon had grown since challenging Viola's gym, so he was glad Olivia agreed that they needed to challenge Grant first before traveling to Hoenn. With their destination established, Vince relied on Olivia for any travel suggestions. Fortree was the first place that seemed to come to her mind, and Vince tilted his head. "Fortree? I am not familiar with this area. What's it like?" He asked, wanting to get an idea of where they would be going at least before they traveled there. Next Olivia suggested going to Sky Pillar, or at least trying to find it, though Olivia seemed to doubt their ability to do so. "I would be interested in finding this "Sky Pillar". Is it actually in the sky? Is that why you doubt the chances of us finding it?" He asked curiously. He didn't know very much about Hoenn, but any dragon tamer worth their salt knew about legendary dragons like rayquaza. Not that Vince expected to find Rayquaza on this trip, but Sky Tower was worth an investigation at least.
Xiu Feng laughed a bit as Blue apologized for making her wait to talk to him. ("It's fine!") She insisted. ("You were hungry, I didn't want to interrupt.") She insisted, almost making a comment about standing between a dragon and their meal, but she quickly stopped herself, remembering how Vince warned her not to bring his species up as a conversation topic. This might be more difficult than she anticipated. She just wanted to talk naturally, like she did with her family. She wasn't really one to bite her tongue, Xiu always said whatever was on her mind and didn't care about what others thought of her because of it, but she really really didn't want to mess this up. Even so, when Blue mentioned his name, Xiu Feng couldn't help but laugh. ("Blueberry? That's a funny name~ Do you taste like blueberries too?") She grinned, licking his ear playfully. It was all in good fun, she wasn't trying to tease him or make him feel bad for his name, it was just funny to her. However, Blueberry was fitting for him she supposed. She hadn't really seen the natural blue coloration of her species, she'd only heard about it.
She just wished she could ask him about it directly, as one lupup to another. ("Um, I love your fur though. It's very pretty. I used to be a seafoam green until I changed pokeballs. I'm still getting used to my new colors. They're alright I guess, but it's not.... Natural.") She frowned. When Blue gave her permission to bring her bowl over, she went and fetched it happily, pulling it alongside Blue's and quickly devouring some of her food while she listened to Blue's response.

The next Pokemon Crystal sent out was Bronzor and once again Lairon didn't feel like the best choice and once again Yveltal came out. Using its massive wings to block the psywave from Bronzor it unleashed another blast of dark pulse sending the steel Pokemon backwards. Returning it Crystal watched as Simon cheered the legendary Pokemon on and began to think that not all trainers who owned legendary Pokemon were bad. It wasn't as if Simon had henchmen under him and was using Yveltal in nefarious ways. Switching out Yveltal for Poochyena again she understood switch training sending out her next Pokemon, two more left and she would probably lose but she was having fun and wouldn't give up now.

Another Pokemon that he couldn't train Lairon against without risk of losing him Simon called Poochyena over and let Yveltal back out to train. Maybe he shouldn't have bothered returning it and instead just kept him out. Guess it depended on her final Pokemon as Yveltal defeated her Frillish. Simon had one as well, blue to her pink, and would train it up later as well. Aside from the Dusknoir line Simon wanted the rest to be fully evolved. Loving Dusknoir he'd probably get a Duskull as well and give it an everstone. It would be awesome to have a Pokemon people thought was weak because it wasn't evolved only to be met with the force of a high level of attacks.

Taking a long swallow from her water Olivia leaned back in her chair to reflect their plans for the next day, her gaze flickering absently amongst her pokemon. Vince had raised a good point in taking a trip to Cyllage before they did anything else, their pokemon had grown considerably stronger and neither trainer wanted to run the risk of their pokemon disobeying them. After that, however, the plan was to head out to Hoenn, Fortree specifically, at Olivia's suggestion. "It's a unique place," the pinkette gushed, dropping her glass down onto the table. "Nearly every house is a treehouse and the residents get around by using rope bridges," she recalled, eyes growing bright at the memory. Olivia smiled when Vince asked about the Sky Pillar, it was such a shame that she herself knew so little about the place. "I'm not too sure, I guess that's a possibility. Few have visited the place and there isn't much information on the place, not any that I could find anyway," she explained. "There are a few theories going around though. Some people say that only a certain group of people can even enter the pillar, the ones who originally built the thing." That was the theory she was most interested in, at least.
Blue didn't argue with Xiu Feng when she insisted it was fine that she'd been forced to wait a while, after all she did make a valid point, he had been hungry. There was a bit of a silence that passed between the two, and in that time the young Lupup took his chance to scrutinize Xiu Feng. Now that she was closer it was easy to tell that they were nearly exactly alike, except for their difference in colors, so then... they were the same species! Which... wasn't a Sableye, or its unevolved form, according to Vince-- but he could have been lying! Humans did that... right? A bit distracted by his thoughts Blue looked up sharply when Xiu Feng laughed, the confusion on his face clear that he didn't know what was so funny. "Oh!" His tail thumped against the ground when he realized that it was his name that was funny, and after a moment he laughed as well. "I don't think I do." He made a surprised sound when his ear was licked, but quickly composed himself and laughed good-naturedly. "Well? Do I taste like blueberries to you?" he questioned, doing his best to morph his expression into one of genuine curiosity.
Even though he knew Xiu Feng was simply teasing him about his name, he was also aware of just how odd it was. But, at the same time, he was proud of his name and he thought it was fitting, it matched his fur! Speaking of fur... Blue listened intently as Xiu Feng explained how she had her fur change to the colors they were now. "Really?" He didn't know a pokeball could make your colors change, humans made odd things... "Well, I think your colors are great! They look good on you too," he complimented and then tipped his head to the side when something occurred to him. "My colors aren't natural either! Mom said I was born another color and I ate some weird gem that darkened my fur." So, technically, he was a shiny Sableye!

Vince listened intently as Olivia described Fortree and it's unique properties. "Treehouses.... How intriguing. Yes, I think such a place would be fun to go see." He agreed. It seemed nice to be able to live as one with a natural environment. He wondered what it might feel like to meditate in such a peaceful place. The next suggestion was Sky Pillar, the legendary shrine where rayquaza was said to dwell. Vince was certainly up for trying to find it, but he wasn't sure where they would look, since the name suggested perhaps it was in the sky. Given that Olivia was more of an expert than he was, Vince referred his questions to her, but the pinkette seemed to know little more about the tower's whereabouts than he did.
She did however suggest that there were a certain group of people said to have access to the tower, since they had been the ones to build it. "Hm.... I see...." Vince sat back in his seat, looking thoughtful. It wasn't surprising that the tower would have limited access, much like the dragon's den back in blackthorn. The thought of a special group in Hoenn building the tower also struck a chord in the back of his mind. Given that raquaza was a legendary dragon, whatever this group was must have some tie to dragons, and if that was the case, Vince was certain that at some point in time, he probably had heard of them. He kept quiet about his suspicions for now though.
Xiu Feng ended up licking Blue's ear for a taste test even though he insisted that he didn't think he tasted like a blueberry. She was just a bit rambunctious right now, excited about her new potential lupup friend. ("Hmm.... I dunno. I've never had a blueberry.") She grinned mischievously, hopping off of him so that she could eat a bit more of her real food before talking about her recent color change. Her tail wagged when he complimented her colors, but when he insisted that his colors weren't natural either, she shifted uncomfortably, ears flattening. It was so hard to resist correcting him, but she had to keep her promise to Vince. ("Oh.... R-really? I wonder what kind of gem would have done that.") She commented, trying to play along. It wasn't her strong suit though...
After having finished his meal and seeing that most of his pokemon were finished eating as well, Vince began returning his team to their pokeballs, leaving Xiu Feng out since she still seemed to be interacting with Blue. "Should we go retire to our room for the night....?" Vince suggested. It was fairly late, and he knew Olivia wanted to get a shower in before bed. In the interest of not staying up to ridiculous hours, they should probably start moving.

One final Pokemon but since Ledyba didn't have an advantage and he was still training up Lairon he sent the ground steel Pokemon out with a loud crunch as he landed from the Pokeball. Lairon had this perfect ability where recoil attacks like take down had no negative effects. For the most part the moves were too powerful that the Pokemon would get hurt themselves during the moves. That mixed with the fact that Ledyba's attack was bug type and not very effective that Simon and his friends won. When the battle was over he approached Crystal. "Do you see it now? Yveltal and I are friends and it came to me. Yveltal sought me out and I even gave it an item to change its coloring to what you see now.""You're right," Crystal admitted, "He seems happy with you."

Healing his team up at the Pokecenter after amenity parting ways with Crystal. Heading back out to the grassy areas he couldn't help but notice the Halloween decorations everywhere. The battle with Crystal took some time it seemed. Looking for more Pokemon to train Lairon up before heading home for Thanksgiving he halted seeing an odd looking Meowth. At first Simon thought that it was a trainer's Pokemon dressed up only to see that it seemed to be a uniquely colored Meowth. Nodding he sent out Lairon to battle up so they could catch it to see how it evolved.

"Mhm," Olivia hummed in agreement, returning to her cake and cutting herself a forkful with a vertical slice. "It's a great place for exercise too." It was definitely one of her favorite cities in Hoenn, and definitely on her Top Ten list. It'd be nice to revisit the place, it'd be even better now since this time around she'd have someone to explore the parts of the city she hadn't managed to see during her last visit. The pinkette was getting excited just at the thought of it. Thankfully she managed to tell Vince about another point of interest, Sky Pillar, before she got too ahead of herself-- or at least all that she knew of the building.
Of course there were legends and history that could be delved into to learn more, and if Vince showed any actual interest in the great pillar Olivia was more than willing to do a bit of research for him. "Think we'd ever be able to find it?" she questioned with a bit of a teasing smile, the prongs of her fork still in between her lips as she'd taken another forkful of cake prior. "We might even catch a glimpse of Raquaza, or catch it. I bet your older brother's never been able to do that." This was all hypothetical of course, as the chances of finding Sky Pillar, let alone finding Rayquaza at its peak, were astronomical. Still, it was a nice thought to have.
Blue stared at Xiu Feng with an amicable light in his eyes, tail still wagging behind him. She was an interesting female, and certainly funny; he'd never had another pokemon lick him to see if he tasted like his name might've suggested. The young Lupup chuckled when the other admitted to never having tasted a blueberry before, only to immediately frown as a thought occurred to him. "I... don't think I've had a blueberry before either," he mused quietly and then laughed. "We should both try some, one day!" he concluded. Once Xiu Feng moved her bowl closer so that the two could eat together Blue gave himself the chance to finish his food, swiping the then empty bowl with his tongue to try and get any crumbs he might've missed. Once done the two moved onto their colors, Xiu Feng revealing that her colors weren't natural, which was something the two had in common. "Same here! I don't remember what it tasted like, but I bet it would've tasted really different from most gems..." he rambled a bit, not realizing how uncomfortable Xiu Feng had become.
Olivia yawned before she set her fork down on her plate, doing a quick on her own pokemon to check and see if they were done. They all were, for the most part, and after confirming that she returned all but Blue and Licorice. The former remaining out so as to act as a comfort if her 'son' got a bit too anxious. "Yeah, I think we should," Olivia agreed and then stood to her feet, collecting her tray and her pokemon's bowl to begin returning them.

Wondering what other Halloween Pokemon he'd discover out here Simon continued to look around. If there were more normal types then Lairon would be at a great advantage with his powerful fighting move. It didn't matter that it lowered his attack and defense because all it took was one hit for the normal types around here to faint. Hearing a meowing, growl to his left he turned and saw another Meowth with a witch hat on and smiled sending out Lairon again. Just as he expected Lairon took it out quickly. Another uniqueness to the experience was that it seemed that these Halloween Pokemon seemed to be giving more experience then a normal level ten wild Pokemon would give. Like with the Mysterious Incense when he used it wanting to train up Poochyena and Carvanha.

The capture of the first Meowth and the defeat of the second seemed to cause a stir in the grass they were currently in as yet another Meowth growled out from the branches of the trees. Leaping down Simon advised Lairon to use the attack and defeated it rather quickly. As long as their weren't other Halloween Pokemon that were water or grass Lairon should be evolving rather soon. He was going to be another member of the team he used against the Elite Four so even though he was fully evolved Simon was going to keep him on the team to train himself and the other two Pokemon that he was going to train to evolve.

The bug Pokemon chittered at them and Simon had Lairon take it out so that they could catch her. After doing just that there was a ding, one level to go and he backed up to ready the Pokeball when he kicked a pouch. Scooping it up he saw that it was a bag of candies, rare candies about fifteen of them. Putting them away he was going to finish training Lairon up catching these new Pokemon then decide who gets what candy. Pumping his fist in the air when he saw that he caught the Pokemon he named her Romanova after that comic book character.
