live as long as I have Jarmore xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Jarmore smiled bowing slightly “I am Jarmore, and I’m relatively new to the Area, you see I flew from the lands of the humans” if his elvish features weren’t as noticeable before they were more obvious when he had bowed. When Jarmore straightened up he couldn’t help but have some level of understanding as to why the dragons in the area avoided her, and the walls around them showed of happier times long passed. Jarmore didn’t reflect too much on his surroundings nor the boar that was cooking which gave out such wonderful aromas, he kept himself in control and continued “I only recently came into the area after discovering the Elves and decided to settle down in the area for a time.” He paused as he stepped closer to her doing his best to remain courteous “but as for my reason for intruding, I couldn’t help but notice your injuries when you flew by me sometime ago and wanted to offer help in recovering from them” Jarmore kept his eyes on her admittedly she was beautiful, and understood perhaps more now than before why the other males in the area sought her out as a mate, though the fact that none had succeeded in claiming her suggested that they were perhaps not as strong nor as swift in the air as he thought, though he was being a little harsh perhaps there was more to it than he knew, after all the chase is never easy and rightfully so, the intent was that only the strongest would succeed in chasing their would-be mate down, though the dance that came afterwards was always a sight to see, well at least it was back when he was still a young dragon, how time has changed. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx andyou may find that there is little you haven't seen.

Ebony gave a small snort as she moved to turn the boar again, "The Elves are too stuffy to deal with most days. One of the main reasons I suggested that Lao bring the islands here up next to Vampire Island. At least there, one can interact with multiple races and be welcome no matter what you are," she commented with a tone that spoke volumes of one that knew what they were talking about. She eventually gave a soft sigh and moved back from the fire pit to look at him again, "If I'd wanted healing, I could have easily gone to Sasha on Crystal Island. She's our resident healer, the first true Healer among the dragons. But, if you truly want to help, I'll let you help me change the bandages in a little bit," she offered, not sure if he'd take the compromise or not. These days, she was even more stubborn in a few areas. She considered the food and gave another soft sigh before looking back at him with a wry twist of her features, inadvertently making her look more impish, "I don't suppose you'd help me a bit with this food? I always seem to make more than I can eat by myself. I'm not used to cooking for one anymore, I guess," she added, actually looking a bit lost at the end. In truth, she needed someone willing to force the issue of social interaction or she was going to wind up pining herself to death before she could hatch the eggs...

live as long as I have Jarmore xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Jarmore chuckled slightly at her words and replied “it has been my experience that the elves tend to be misunderstood until you’ve been around them enough to see how they act behind closed doors, in the times I’ve been there I’ve had the pleasure of dining alongside the elven nobility and their citizenry alike, and found them to be quite an intriguing people.”
At hearing her words about the healer, Jarmore while feeling concerned would if anything agree to helping her, if anything he could at least look at the wounds more easier and assist as needed “as you wish I can help you with your bandages when the time comes” Jarmore couldn’t help but think that she was being somewhat resistant to any help with her injuries, the fact that she hadn’t gone to see this Sasha only proved she might have been suffering from more than injuries, unfortunately there wasn’t anything any healer could do to help the heart heal and a wounded heart tended to hide from the world, though perhaps he was overthinking it perhaps there was more to it than a simple broken heart, then again maybe it was just that only time would tell before he would know for sure. When the offer to help her with the food came Jarmore was slightly relieved he’d get to try out something new and nodded “” Jarmore moved over to a chair and sat down though he didn’t say anything simply observing Ebony, trying to figure things out, clearly she needed help but why she didn’t seek assistance before he pressed the matter he couldn’t quite figure out, loss of a mate can do things to one whose been reliant on someone being there, but was a reliance or there lack of the reason for her choosing to remain here or was there something else going on behind the scene, obviously the dragon community on the island has been content to stay away unless they intend to claim her as a mate which would explain the way everyone else acts when she’s around. Intent on discovering the truth Jarmore pressed the issue “midnightblue]if you don’t mind me asking, but why stay here, this cave from what I’ve seen thus far appears to be bigger which would be perfect if you were intending on having hatchlings in the future but with no mate this cave seems to big for one person to simply live in” even as he said that he couldn’t help but shake his head slightly at what he said after all his home cave was carved out by him, and it had eight rooms large enough to house dragons, and another five more for when he used to entertain humans, as well as two vaults where he stored things and wealth he had collected over the years and a room where he tended to those who came looking for healing. The mere thought of it all made him chuckle slightly before he spoke up again “my apologies, it was rude of me to question where you live, it was only after I said it that I was reminded of myself and the home I left behind” he held a smile as he sat there. He was not off to a good start if he was going to remain on Ebony’s good graces, after all he did intrude.

Ebony set to serving them both up a good portion of the food, though she was eating less than he was. She didn't have much of an appetite these days. Only true hunger than the eggs kept her eating at all. She set the platters down on the table just as he made his observation and she gave a small shrug as she sat down gingerly due to the pulling of some of her wounds, "You're right. It is too large for one person. I lived here with my mate Lao and our first brood. We hatched and raised six through to their Rites of Adulthood. Then there was a large battle... Another dragon from Lao's younger years, back when the dragons were still a young species... Lao beat him, but... He managed to take out Lao and our children in the process..." she explained to him softly. The look in her chartreuse eyes showed him that she was leaving out alot, but she covered the basics. She took in a breath and moved some of the food around on her platter, "I think I only stayed alive because I'd laid one more clutch before the fight. They're in Kane's old room. Fitting, in a way..." she stopped there, though she'd already revealed alot to him. Maybe even enough to figure a few things out about her. She still went into heat periodically since her body demanded it after the deaths of her mate and children, but she managed to outfly everyone that went after her. A great deal of that went back to a female dragon's instincts to protect her eggs. They became so protective that even their mate's had a hard time approaching the nesting chamber. For Ebony to allow this stranger into her aerie with eggs meant that they were both deeper into the cave system and very well-protected. But no one else knew about the eggs. They only knew that she'd become dangerous to be around most of the time. Most knew that she'd lost her mate. A few knew that her children had died at the same time. But no one knew about those eggs. She finally took a bite of the roast and gave a nod, "The spices worked out well on it this time. You can't tell at all that it was raised on the island here. No fishy taste to it at all," she commented to herself, easily changing the subject to something much safer to talk about.

live as long as I have Jarmore xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Jarmore listened to what she had to say and immediately understood a few things, the reasons for everyone staying away from her, the reasons why males tended to chase her, she lost much and yet she still had if anything hope to continue living which in his book was at least something. He smiled slightly before he took a bite of the food and found that the aroma had not betrayed his senses as he nodded when she mentioned the flavor and replied “this is very well done, not too many dragons I know can cook as good as you can” though while he did know of some dragons to say he knew a lot by name would be pushing it since he spent more time in the human world and less time around his own kind. It was only because of the elves that he was here to begin with, so he couldn’t quite complain since he’d been allowed to partake in a fine meal such as this and while it was strange for a mother to allow him to be close, he suspected that if there had been any real risk to her clutch of eggs that she would have run him out without a second thought and to say it would have been terrible for him would have been a understatement since he would have been denied such a fine meal that surely would have given him reason to go out and pester the elves for a bit. Sufficed to say the elves would not have to tolerate his presence today, though he would need to visit at some point he remembered some of them mentioning that they missed his company and lively conversations so it was getting to be about time that he would visit them, perhaps tomorrow.
For now Jarmore said very little content to savor a meal alongside someone new and tried not to pry too much since she’d pretty much spell it out for him, there was little that he could ask that he couldn’t figure out on his own or hear about it from the rumor mill which was always talking about something, and if he was fortunate, perhaps they won’t talk about him too much since he’d pummeled one froze another, and entered the aeire of a dragon who was known to be aggressive, how people will talk now, and start to question certain facts. Well, couldn’t be helped it was bound to happen someday he wasn’t exactly normal which was cause enough for some to start spreading rumors.

Ebony gave a small smile and a shrug of one shoulder, "I spent alot of time out among the other races. I picked up a few tricks with food here and there. I don't always eat in dragon form. Sometimes I get a craving for something with more flavor," was all she said over the food and her skills. She quickly turned her full plate into a finished one and took her plate over to what appeared to be a rustic kitchen area, over between the firepit and one wall of the cave. She took care of her leavings on the plate, setting it all aside to drop in the forest for the animals there to eat, then put her plate in a sink carved out of the stone wall. That sink came complete with drain and faucet, all courtesy of her old mate Lao. Setting up an Aerie was so much easier when one dragon had the ability to manipulate Earth... She simply set the plate into the sink then moved back over to sit across from him at the small table with her chartreuse eyes focused on the firepit. She sat there until he was finished with his meal, "They all think I'm crazy, you know. They might be right. I'm not sure some days. They probably told you to stay away, I'm sure. You've got guts to come anyway," she said softly before she collected his plate and took it over to treat it just as she had her own. She'd left things open for him to reply or simply leave. She'd given him a way out without worrying about bad manners or worrying about offending her. But she'd also given him an opening to ask her questions, if he chose to ask them...

Zylrias & Raersas xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx As they flew towards the part of the mountain chain that their home was they the forest below was bustling with activity as well as there being dragons flying around off in the distance, the area was peaceful, which was much calmer than it was at the river. Zylrias glanced behind him briefly to find that Titana was still following and able to maintain the pace which put his mind at ease, he worried he might have been moving to fast which was just natural for him, Having Raersas with him did little to slow him, Raersas simply enjoying the time to sour through the sky, Since she couldn’t fly Zylrias and Sasha both always gave her the opportunity to enjoy being so high up.
As time went Zylrias led Titana to the furthest point on the mountain chain and neared a cliff face that had a ledge jutting out, Zylrias flew towards it and once above it he gently put Raersas down. Zylrias spent a lot of time carving out of the aerie they call home, and landed next to Raersas and looked up to see where titana was.
Off to the side of Zylrias and Raersas was a large cave entrance which led straight into their home, the cave went in a way before it changed into a hallway lit by torch light, the hallway would lead to a Living room and dining room both big enough to support a dragon in either form, the kitchen was through a archway in the dining room. Passed the Dining room which held a fireplace with seating in front of it, the walls lined with pictures and bookshelves alike. The hallway beyond the living led to four different bedroom all of which would support a dragon in either form as well, passed them eventually led to a large pool which glowed, a gift from Sasha the last time she came to visit, the pool allowed anyone to heal much easier. The home didn’t have a nesting chamber, Zylrias had no reason to make a room for that since he had never found a mate, more so since he had Raersas to look after and so he simply resigned himself to simply being a father and teacher to her. Raersas waited for a moment before she darted inside cheerful as usual leaving Zylrias there to wait for Titana.

Titana followed behind Zylrias and Raersas for a good while before she saw a chain of mountains up ahead. She had heard them mention their mountain home so she could only assume that was where they were headed. She took in the sights of all the different creatures with a curious glance, but was a little hesitant when she saw the other dragons flying near. She inched her way closer to the pair when one particular dragon flew too close to where they were. There was no malice or dark intent in the strange dragons scent and it was gone as quickly as it appeared, but it was still instinctual for her to fear anything new that posed a danger to her while she was in this form. Most dragons were stronger in their shifted form, but not Titana. She was actually weaker because outside of her teeth and claws, she had no way to defend herself. But she felt slightly assured being in Zylrias' presence. His dragon was only slightly bigger than hers, but she knew that his strength far outmatched hers. She watched curiosly as Zylrias bypassed most of the mountain chain without so much as a glance, before heading towards a small spot on the tail end of the range. Titana circled around the small little area and the cliff facing before watching the pair set down on the ledge. It was a pretty decent size ledge that allowed a dragon in their shifted form to land comfortably, plus some. Once she saw them change back into their humanoid form, she quickly flew down and gently landed a few paces away. She snuffed the ground with her large snout trying to familiarize herself with all the scents here, but was surprised when she smelled no other female. Not even Sasha's. Frowning to herself, she looked up to Zylrias before watching Raersas race off inside one of the tunnels that must lead to his inner dwelling. Titana closed her eyes, and within a few minutes had transformed back into her smaller frame. Once that was done, she smiled at Zylrias as she looked around his small aerie. "This is your home?"

Zylrias & Raersas xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Zylrias smiled and replied “indeed it is, took me a while to carve out this spot, but it was all worth it in the end, come let’s head in, it’s more comfortable inside” Zylrias led the way inside into a much nicer and more comfortable, Raersas was by the fireplace simply sitting there enjoying it, the hallway and main area was massive for their human forms which meant that they could easily move around in dragon form with little problem. As Zylrias walked across the large living room he stood by the fireplace for a moment and smiled “looks like you had no trouble starting a fire, good job Raersas you are improving!” Raersas smiled as she looked up to him and replied “thanks Father I did my best to do what you taught me” Zylrias nodded and replied “that’s good always remember the lessons learned, though you missed something” he teased as he pointed towards a couple of torched that were not lit she frowned “awwww, I was sure I got them” Zylrias chuckled and snapped his fingers which caused the flames to light up “just checking” She got up and ran into his arms laughing, Zylrias laughed as she knocked him down and held her close for a moment before he finally got up, putting Raersas on her feet “alright dear I want you to do me one big favor” she smiled and replied “what?” He smiled “I need you to go and get the spare bedroom close to the pool opened up I’ll be along shortly to help you get it ready” she nodded and darted off down the hallway leaving Zylrias alone with Titana. He looked in her direction slightly apologetic “you’ll have to forgive me, we don’t get many guests so the guests rooms are rarely used, you’ll have the pleasure of having one of the rooms close to the pool, when you are up for it that pool is available for use whenever you please, it was a gift from Sasha so I believe you may find it to be quite refreshing especially when you are injured or weary, it was created to revitalize and help heal, because a lot of attacks Sasha isn’t always around to patch me up so she had that built so that I could recover when I’m hurt, it does the trick wonderfully, there will be a meal later on so if you need to freshen up you are welcome to use it” Zylrias stood there observing Titana, if anything the sights of their home was likely to give most pause. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Titana's smile widened as she nodded her head and followed behind him into his home. Once inside the tunnels, she could smell him everywhere with light traces of Raersas here and there. Taking in a deep breath, she felt her nose flare as she looked around in curiosity. There were so many things to look at and so many new scents that she was still learning, but the most prominent scent was male. And it didn't smell bad.. "You built this whole aerie by yourself?" she asked incredulous as she turned her shocked gaze back to him once she realized what he said. That was...impressive. It was massive inside his dwelling, and she was only in the first tunnel. From the way the air flowed and brought different scents to her, she knew there were other tunnels. She couldn't imagine how long it took or how hard it must have been to do alone. Building an aerie was something mated couples did to make a nest for their family. It was a team effort. The fact that he did it all by himself, well Titana was without words. When he offered her one of his bedrooms nearest to his pool, she blushed softly as she dropped her eyes to the floor. Pulling her bright hair to one side, she toyed with the end in slight embarrassment. "You really don't have to go out of your way for me. I'd be fine sleeping on your beautiful couch. I'm use to much worse." she said softly, glancing up quickly to him before dropping her gaze again. She was actually use to sleeping on a cold cave floor or inside her cage, which was also hard and cold. Sleeping on the soft grass out in the forest was a much better step up from what she was use to, so she had no problem sleeping on his rug in front of the fireplace, or even his couch. It looked soft and supple.

Zylrias & Raersas xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Zylrias chuckled when he saw her look and replied “yes, it took me quite a while to carve out the entire aerie” Zylrias paused to think “I came here five years ago, Raersas in tow, I knew out there I could survive but she couldn’t so I started work on this aerie so that she would be safe, it took me a couple of years of hard work building what I have here.” He walked over to her when she lowered her head and put a hand on her shoulder “you can relax, I wouldn’t offer you a room if I didn’t want you to have one, so think nothing of it, I am glad that I am able to provide you with a place to rest” Zylrias pat her shoulder as he stepped past her “as comfortable as that couch would be I can assure the bedroom is much more comfortable” Zylrias stepped over to the hallway and stood there a smile on his face.
Raersas hummed as she walked down the hallway towards the room. Once she got there she opened the door and lit the torches inside all the while still humming the tune she’d learned from Zylrias for when she was still a very young hatchling. The room was rather large both sporting a human-sized bed and bedding for a dragon, Raersas Spun around happily dancing around the room as she waited for Zylrias to arrive.

Titana blushed so badly that even the tips of her pointed ears turned red in embarrassment. Well not embarrassment, more like shyness and awe. She'd never had anyone be so nice to her as Zylrias was being. She didn't know how to respond to his kind gesture or words other than to give a small nod. Bringing her head up to gaze at him, she gave him beautiful smile in appreciation. "Thank you. I would very much like a bedroom then." she said as she looked past in and into the hallway that Raersas had disappeared through, the one that he was currently standing in front of. Dropping her grip on her hair, she pushed it behind her shoulders and went to follow Zylrias to her new room. That sounded funny to her. She'd never had a room before..but it sounded kind of nice. "You said you have an internal spring pool inside here? That's amazing. I could really use a bath." she said with another blush. She knew she probably smelled since it had been several days since she had a chance to bath. She would have done it at the river, but never got the chance to. So she was glad of the opportunity now.

Zylrias & Raersas xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Zylrias nodded “yes though it is one that is not normal, the waters glow with healing properties, Sasha never did tell what she did to those waters but they are refreshing and warm, it is very easy to get to, this very hallway ends at that pool, and your room will be next to it for convenience, so feel free to use it” Zylrias noted her blushing though he didn’t press the matter, instead he passed it off as nothing and led the way down the hall “if I may ask, I mean no disrespect but when you were young did anyone invest their time in teaching you how to be a dragon, you’ll have to forgive me but I couldn’t help but notice the sluggish change between forms, could it be that that is apart of the reason you are seeking a teacher?” Zylrias casually walked down the hallway not really in a hurry to get anywhere and simply took the time to try and understand a few things about his guest, and as he walked he couldn't help but wonder just what she's gone through during her lifetime, and only hoped it wasn't too severe.[ xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Titana's footsteps echoed softly as she trailed behind Zylrias towards her new room. She listened to him describe the water and she couldn't help but feel a small trickle of excitement at the aspect of having access to fresh water whenever she wanted. It was almost too good to be true. However, she stumbled a bit when he asked her about her powers because it caught her slightly off-guard. Biting her lip, she debated on exactly what to tell him. Did she tell him the truth? How much history would he need to know?.. Deciding that she was going to trust Zylrias with her secrets, she let out a soft sigh. He was giving her a room and offered to let her stay indefinitely with them for the moment. Plus, he had been nice and sincere so far..if Titana couldn't trust him, then she wouldn't be able to really trust anyone, and that did not bode well for her search of a teacher. "I..umm.. No, I didn't have anyone to show me about either of my powers." she said glancing back down at the floor. "You must know... I am part Shadow and part Fire Dragon. I am suppose to be able to wield both powers...yet I can not. ..." she said meekly. It was embarrassing admitting that she couldn't wield any of her powers. It was also the first time she ever willing told another person her deepest secret. She only hoped that he wouldn't turn her away for being part Shadow, since most Shadow dragons were..not nice at all.
