Anime is very popular and it ISN'T nerdy! Anime shouldn't be sterotyped into something that is "nerdy", which implies it is usually for the nerds. A huge variety of people like anime! If you want to stereotype it, then there would be a huge amount of "nerds" and the number of ONLY jocks, cheerleaders, and scholars would decrease immensely, in my opinion.

They arent full fledged nerds, they're just nerdy about anime. Anyway, those titles are just given to fruits in school, If your a jock in school, you could be a peon in a job, but the word nerd sticks.

They say we burn so bright... Lies.
And what's wrong with it if it IS nerdy/geeky?
Everyone I know that watches anime considers themself a nerd/geek. If you have a problem with that you shouldn't take it out on us. =(

I do not think by any means that anime is nerdy. I would curse at someone who dared to call anime nerdy, that would be an insult to us fans. *scoffs at the ignorace of such people*

~Garden_of_Dreams~ I do not think by any means that anime is nerdy. I would curse at someone who dared to call anime nerdy, that would be an insult to us fans. *scoffs at the ignorace of such people* 1. As i've said before, anything can be nerdy. Jocks are just nerds of sports 2. If it wasnt nerdy, then you should have never put it here 3. All the friends who i know like anime call it nerdy, and thats quite a few

It depends. There are a few anime shows that rule but ya the majority is lame. I get to go to my first Anime Convention this May 25th. I am going to Anime North.

anime is entertainment.
only to a certain degree does it become too much.
i watch it when im sad. and it makes me forget my hard times. anime is a world to forget reality. it doesn't mean your a nerd if you like watching it.
and just because its animation doesn't mean its any different, from a drama or live series you watch on TV. that you can't get enough of.
some people just have different interests then others. whatever floats their boat, i guess. =]

I don't care if anime is nerdy or not, I still enjoy reading it. 3nodding I'd rather be a nerd than someone who doesn't do something because some people say it's nerdy. 3nodding

Coming from an anime fan, if you have to say "____ is NOT nerdy!" chances are that it probably is. Lets face it people. It is. I'm not going to lie to myself otherwise. sweatdrop
