sweatdrop Can't help it can we? Money in most cases does make the world go round. You won't survive without it anyway!

engineer-of-doom "So you think that money is the root of all evil?" said Francisco d'Anconia. This is a misquote of a Bible verse. 1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil. Money is morally neutral, it is a tool.

WOW eek ....amd any way it is the LOVE of monny that is the root of evil, not the monny its self. It is the greed of men that create that evil. stressed Just as power is not evil but powr for the sake of power is. sweatdrop sorry I will get off my sope box now....

You know, I read that whole book in sections, but I don't remember that part.
However, I do remember that I liked the general messages in the book.
Was it just me though, or did the characters seem a little two-dimensional? I wanted them to see things as more than black or white. I should go back through it and see if I missed an example of where they were a little more human.

The speech isn't terrible, but the main quote they use is wrong. It is: "The love of money is the root of all evil." I really am annoyed by all these people who quote it wrong...(note that it is more of a craving/lust for wealth and power that it is reffering to.

I still think Ayn Rand should be suffered to watching over a million copies of her books burned at once.
Except she's dead. =(

Yes, it is indeed long. My eyes hurt. But I did get to read the intro. Quite interferes with my curiosity. I'd prefer hearing it. (I prefer everything heard {hyperbole}) How about you catch a video and upload it on the internet? More people will be able to see it.
