I've been called all of them, but your description of a dork seems to best fit me. I'm not really all that savy when it comes to math, computers, technology, science, etc.

I have found that it depends on the day and the group you are with what you are cast as. In band it is most commonly the geek but I have also heard band nerd as well. Other groups are classified by only one like ROTC we are Nazi. Of Course fanatics of any sort are Nazi including drum Nazi so it all depends.

According to the first explanation, I'm a geek. But I'm really not any of the things listed. I like pop music and video games to death. I'm in rpgs and I'm fashionable. I know alot about computers but my tv keeps me guessing. What am I?
I'm me. Isn't that enough? biggrin

i classify myself as a dweeb; i love my games and gaming systems, roleplaying, cosplaying, and the like, but i also can function in society and i'm good at *gasp* english! and my glasses aren't broken. ;P
nerds are the guys and gals who take the extra calculus class as an elective. they're math-oriented, and uninterested in the social world.
geeks are, well, like the geek squad. your typical computer expert at age 10, but very socially inept and aware of it.
dweebs i already talked about. biggrin
dorks are...the bottom of the foodchain. the people who live in their parents' basement and such. we don't talk about dorks...>>

That was really funny! I've always thought that geeks and nerds were basically the same thing, but geeks were better at technical stuff. I thought dorks were just idiots sweatdrop . As such, I define myself as a geek!

Gerd(Geek and Nerd) I play D&D, my best subject is math(my science fair project was on an algebra equation), I like Star Wars, Star Trek, and Manga. But, I am also good at reading. I read the whole thing(even the comments) and my glasses aren't broken(although I usually wear contacts.) rofl

Why so much on semantics? Everyone labels whether they like to admit it or not but this is just crazy! biggrin

first a geek is relly smart about something and like it or just like it or are only smart about it, that is where the sub catorgies come in. here are some examples of sub catorgies of geeks: gameing (like video games and the systems that they are played on), anime (like anime and manga), drawing (like to draw and are sometimes relly good at it), math(are really good at math), computer(it is self explantory), and there are tons more. so each of us is a geek in one way or another, and a nerd is usally an out cast and likes things like d&d, magic the gathering, yu-gi-ho, and other things like that. so being a geek is a good thing and a nerd is not a good thing to be. so there are many geeks and nerds are few so be a geek not a nerd, so stop calling a nerd a geek becuse they are not, it is a coplety diffrent thing. a dork is the worst thing to ever be called, a dweeb is a more abvanced stage of a nerd(he/she knows that he/she is an out cast and likes d&d, magic the gathering, yu-gi-ho, or other things like that), and a dork is the lowest stage of nerd (just realises that he/she likes d&d, magic the gathering, yu-gi-ho, or other things like that.)

I'm a nerd, I've been called that by my friends and I noticed, that, I haven't cared much lately and its turned into a compliment. My friends use it as such and I actually thank them XP It's like 'Maja you're a nerd aren't you? What does this mean?' But after reading this, I think I best fall into the dweeb category. I socialise with most stereotypes in the school, I got friends and I'm not hated (that much...) and I'm pretty smart. But I have tastes that a normal stereotype could never have, so then gave myself my own label, its called Maja. whee
