Proly 3, but if it was the first or second trilogy, it would be 4-6 hands down.
And for one I LIKED Episode 1

Nah, I'm kidding. ^^ You have your opinion, unique though it may be, and I have mine. I just found it rushed and dry. And... Dare I utter his name...? Jar Jar. *dies*

Episode IV...
For one thing, no JarJar Binks.
For another, better acting than the new triolgy.
For a third, no Ewoks.
For another, generally better storyline than the others.
For another reason... I just think it's overall better.
(Episode III is my second-favourite, though...)

I would have to say it's a toss up between Empire strikes back and return of the jedi....i loved both of them growing up.....
are you sure they would just jump so far ahead though if they do...do the movies for 7,8 and 9 to go to the Vong ppl's....???? There's so much other story line inbetween the ROTJ and the Vong.......
I had heard or read somewhere....(was a long time ago..so memory not all that great on it)...that when Lucas wrote the Star Wars epic's....he had all nine of them written out...the story lines at least....but because the first 3 were telling the story.....the beggining so to speak....and the last three needed the middle three to explain it...and he was doing only one film at the time...since he didn't know how it would go over...he went with 4, in the hopes that it would go well...and be able to go back later and do 1-3 and then 7-9.......but....with all that has been done by all the other writter's......keeping 7-9 all together....may be hard......though i am optomistic that he will do them

Keed-There won't be a 7-9. I forget who but they said they had enough material to make movies 7-9 but it's not going to happen. There will be a live action and animated show though. [At least that's what I heard]

Episode 1 was my favorite...since it had the first Master still alive and Maul was in it too^^

Pinkie - yeah, I figured there would be to much stuff done after ROTJ that it would be next to impossible to try and do three more episodes, lol. Though it was a nice hopefull and entertaining thought.

A New Hope is my fav....but I'v seen them all, and I have a whole big book shelf filled with Star Wars novels...I really like the Young Jedi Knight series

Empire is absolutely the best film in the trilogy. In my house there's only three films, New Hope, Empire and Return. The other three are accidents we just don't talk about.

6th and 3rd.
3rd becuase of the awesome battle scenes, and 6th because it was FANTASTIC.
and... i like the music at the end (ewok celebration party)
